1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 08, 2021, 11:57:36 AM
Both fighters already receive the easy money Cheesy

Quote
Lopez and Kambosos would each receive decent paydays from the initial Triller deposit of $1.2 million, with Lopez receiving $780,000 and Kambosos receiving $420,000, ESPN reported. A lawsuit by the two fighters against Triller could potentially net them more money, closer to the original payments of $3,911,700 to Lopez and $2,106,300 to Kambosos that would have come from the original bid of $6.018 million. Then, if the Matchroom bid of $3.506 million winds up bagging the fight, Lopez will receive $2,278,900 and Kambosos would net $1,227,100 from Matchroom.
Source.

Triller is a new player, and this is their expensive lesson if they want to continue in the boxing business. Anyway, it's unfortunate that this fight takes too much time to be realized, and with the new promoter, next month would be the earliest date since they need to prepare the venue etc. Perhaps late Nov or early Dec.
1722  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Trade Race Manager - "A new era of trading gamified by race" didukung DeFi & NFT on: October 08, 2021, 10:37:30 AM

1725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Large-Cap Alts Lose Value Against BTC. on: October 07, 2021, 02:41:45 PM
If we look at the BTC dominance chart https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/
It's the other way around from early 2021, BTC continues to lose its dominance. From 5 minutes of looking at that chart, I think BTC will regain its dominance in the bear market, and will lose it in the bull market.
1726  Economy / Economics / Re: Anti Crypto Arguments Abound on: October 07, 2021, 02:26:24 PM
LOL pretty accurate in describing the BS in crypto, but not all crypto enthusiast is a scammer, doomsayer, or take part in the P&D/ponzi. Some are just like the convenience of using cryptocurrency to buy goods and services. Even if it's mainly a currency for gambling, it's still utility.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice for fun or profits on: October 07, 2021, 02:08:20 PM
What strategy exactly does playing dice have? It's not like you can control the outcome of the game so I don't get how there's a strategy in that game and to other game of chances.
Quite a lot, martingale, paroli, and other progressive betting strategies, or you can hunt rare numbers (big multiplier).
You can go to wolf.bet and play the dice there, simply click the strategies tab on the auto-bet window.

However, strategy isn't meant to increase EV, but to vary probability vs payoff.

sometimes blind luck can beat math
specially if there is time constraint

but I wouldn't recommend relying only on luck as an investment thesis or way of living
too risky
True!
1728  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [ASk] Apa Itu Epoch Di Cardano? on: October 07, 2021, 01:29:08 PM
Butul, epoch itu adalah rentang periode waktu tertentu, kalau ditranslate literal ke Indonesia ya "masa" atau "jaman."

Oh berarti setiap Blockchain punya Epoch ya mas dan setiap Epoch punya desain berbeda. Ok terima kasih atas pendapatnya.

1729  Economy / Economics / Re: Is budgeting still effective in tackling the need to constantly withdraw money? on: October 06, 2021, 03:04:51 PM
Budgeting is a poor man's recipe. Instead of thinking about how to allocate your money, think about how to earn more and more money. And about the need to constantly withdraw money or converting investment to cash, it's a sign that you aren't in the investor class yet. You should work more to get more excess cash and convert it into crypto or whatever. It's okay to spend all of your crypto payment if your life depends on it, you can always buy more later.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice for fun or profits on: October 06, 2021, 02:49:07 PM
I believe people play dice to test their "strategy," algorithm, or whatever their belief Cheesy so it's mainly profit oriented. And play for fun? Probably the minority of players who are a number fetish. The super fast gameplay also one of its pros when it comes to strategy testing. Oh, and wager also one of the motive, to level up accounts on various casinos or to mine their token.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: People don't talk about EOS anymore on: October 06, 2021, 02:33:04 PM
Its only a one-time work, after u done its process, u will benefit almost free-transaction for ur entire life on EOS network. If you want to make it easier, i suggest u to use Wombat on the Android, its allowed you to create wallet freely, u only need to pay (easier payment with Playstore option) when u want to copy the secret key and move to another wallet, wombat also provided u 10 times daily transaction.
Yeah, I thought that as well, but it is only an advertisement. At that time, I staked enough EOS to do many transactions per day and, in the end, I was forced to beg some CPU power on 3rd party services. And then a few EOS forks appear and that's when I decided to move away from EOS. It's so unfortunate what happened to EOS since I enjoy EOS apps such as Newdex and EOS casinos.
1732  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Instant BTC,ETH & LTC withdraws | $100k+/week contest | VIP | on: October 06, 2021, 02:05:33 PM
sometimes all the rewards are burned back in the casino LOL
I believe some players went through the same thing as me. I hope you're still on track this week and taking part in the new competition :v
For me it's most of the time, lul.
No worries, I'll still submit my result if it's above 150x (multiplier) and $50 (max-hit). As long as the contest is still here, I'll still play since it's mean +RTP Grin

By the way, time flies so fast. Just noticed that duelbits has just passed a year (+1 week) since they came to this forum in September last year. Hope duelbits will bring us more surprises and features in the future and I hope there will be a big event at the end of the year to celebrate Christmas and New Year like what they did last year with the raffle.
Ah the sweet raffle, I believe it's $200 IIRC, and only lasts for a few hours Grin
1733  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 06, 2021, 01:50:49 PM
And with crypto, who the hell knows what the real valuation should be for any of them?  Your guess is as good as anyone else's.  I think the crypto market is probably the best example of an efficient market, because a coin is worth exactly what the market says it's worth at any given point.

Well, I would like to disagree.

In a perfectly efficient market, all information about a particular coin will be available to everyone in it.

This is in stark contrast to the actual information that most coins show, which is often very scant.

If crypto is an efficient market, then Bitconnect, OneCoin and all of those other scams wouldn't have got to the size they had.
You know EMH is just a theory; In reality, there's no such thing as perfectly efficient market where there's no overvalued and undervalued stocks. I think maybe semi-strong is the highest attainable form of efficiency in the US stock market.

Previously my point is to distinguish commodity vs stocks. You can see the quality (present) by its price tag since the stock market is "reasonably efficient." Try to do that in crypto and you'll get busted real quick.

Crypto market isn't even a weak form per the definition since up to this date I believe it's possible to earn excess return using historical data. Furthermore, publicly available information is not robust to the point that some of "the team" are anonymous, no accountability, etc.
1734  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Project Veritas COVID Exposed - Part 4: Pfizer Exposed on: October 05, 2021, 04:30:08 PM
I like all these PV videos. I think they must have extremely hot female undercover journalists Grin
It's shocking really that these Big Pharma workers know their wrongdoings, but decided to keep silent, and all of these happen in "the home of the brave" lul.
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto projects best facilitate obtaining passive income? on: October 05, 2021, 04:20:50 PM
Honestly, if someone of my friend who are not in crypto asks this question, I'll answer not one crypto project will earn him passive income. DEFI, farming, staking, NFT, are just pretty much a ponzi or a money game. You can only earn passive income via bank interest or securities, via someone else's work.

But for those who interested in this high-risk crypto "game," I prefer to invest in casinos that has a profit sharing token.
1736  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 05, 2021, 04:06:28 PM
Commodity differs from Common stock.

In an efficient market (EMH), it is said that the price reflects all available information. So if the price is high, yep, it really is a valuable stock. But "investment" means %-return thus the future and not the present that is important. It is how you predict the future profitability of a firm, basically predicting the future.

In commodity, I believe it is easier, basically depends on utility and scarcity.

Anyway, I believe your point is to warn people about risk in investing, sadly there will always be dumb money. And the dumb money usually comes from uninformed everyday people.
1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buying new GPUs now and future as ETH POS is on horizon on: October 05, 2021, 03:48:40 PM
The last few months are the time to sell your used GPUs, I've sold a couple of my old RX cards with the price near MSRP at the time I bought the card. And now I'm waiting for the price of GPU to go down to buy a couple of new cards. Buying GPU now for mining means GPU sellers will charge you an insane amount of money, and the ETH price is already high = more risk.

ETH POS so what? There will be many alts with different algorithm to mine on. Just wait for the time to pump while stocking cheap high-end GPU is better IMO.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand? on: October 05, 2021, 03:37:12 PM
Honestly I do not understand why gambling is considered as a crime in my country while it does not affect or harm others.
I think it's because of the pressure from religious-political power. Remember that previously alcohol also allowed and local government has shares in a beer company. Remember the recent polemics about the investment in alcoholic beverages? Pros and cons are depend on the study, it's not 100% black and white. But one thing for sure, as long as Indonesia is a religious country + socialist system, I think gambling won't be legal, at least in my lifetime.
