Yang menjadi argumen pihak yang pro adalah prinsip dasar tersebut pada esensinya adalah jumlah supply yang tetap, tapi ini hanya ada pada dunia ideal, sedangkan pada dunia nyata, jumlah supply BTC akan selalu berkurang karena koin-koin yang hilang. Apabila tidak ada emisi koin lagi, maka setiap tahun koin-koin yang masih dapat diakses akan semakin sedikit, nantinya akan lebih kecil dari 21 juta tsb -> menyalahi prinsip dasar juga dong pada akhirnya.

Untuk mengatasi hal ini makanya ada tail emission sehingga jumlah koin yang hilang akan sama dengan jumlah koin baru, yang pada akhirnya stabil, tidak inflasi, dan tidak deflasi.

Apa itu tail emission? Yaitu block reward yang jumlahnya tetap dan ada untuk selamanya.

Karena banyak rumus matematis, ane juga ga paham betul, tapi ini intinya:
- Belum ada blockchain yang bisa survive mengandalkan biaya transaksi saja, dan ada pendapat kalau menggunakan biaya transaksi saja tidak stabil, sehingga masih dibutuhkan subsidi block (yang mengalami halving tsb.)
- Suplai BTC tidak lah tetap (21 Juta) tapi mengalami deflasi karena ada koin-koin yang hilang tiap tahunnya karena kecelakaan, lupa menyimpan privkey, dan lain sebagainya.
- Menggunakan tail emission suplai Bitcoin malah bisa tetap karena tambahan suplai akan sebanding dengan koin-koin yang hilang pada tiap periode.

Sebenarnya ini isu lama hanya saja diangkat kembali dan kemudian ramai kembali. Buat yang belum sempat komeng di jaman dulu: Bagaimana menurut agan akan ide ini? Apakah bermanfaat untuk BTC? Dan apakah mungkin kalau diaplikasikan ke BTC?

I believe scams and failed projects are just riding the hype, while scams have malicious intent, failed projects are because incompetency.
DDOS is because of unfair competition between many chains. All of these are not sabotage.

I think we can see more sabotage efforts from central banks / governments with its harmful policy.

Well, about tyranny, I'd say it's centrally planned, just like in economics. I hide my bets because I'm too embarrassed to show it publicly and serves no purpose other than for showing off and for fun. However, I encountered some incident where someone contacted and tried to scam me because previously I showed my bets and it was quite decent. You know, match fixing stuff. I disagree with the idea that problem gambling is inherited, or because of gene. Sure, some people are more risk taker than other, and have more interest in games. However, it doesn't mean if someone has the mentioned genetic makeup, he will develop into a gambling addict. It's a complex interaction between variables, genetic and environment. Saying that I'm addicted to gambling because of gene is just shifting responsibilities.

19k is a strong support tho, the previous 2017 ATH, so if it's broken, the effect could be massive. I've read somewhere that the BTC price never went down below previous ATH. $17k means it's definitely broken, and will go much lower, even <$10k is possible imo.
