Most likely, unless MP takes votes away from other coins. Doesn't seem likely at this point.

I suggest going after another exchange... swisscex, austin global, atomic-trade, allcrypt/allcoin, king coiny and those guys. Get on the Polo voting list if the coin isn't already, and vote there too. It never made sense to have a MP or bust sort of mindset. And as for BTC or LTC, just take whatever you can get if the exchange is halfway decent.

Not sure if an extra 72 hrs will matter, but sure, if I was in your shoes at this point, I'd just extend it.

I offered up some suggestions in this thread how to salvage the situation. Bittrex could use the same rules Polo does in regard to ICOs/ICDs. You could agree to offer up a buy wall after the ICO ends, at least for the first day or two, at original ICO prices. If you had done both of those things from the start, I expect sales would be much better than they are now.

You could go ahead even if that 80% mark isn't reached, by simply revising your model. Go with 1-2 cheap or free workers, and go with the rare coin model (XLC/XBC), since so many would be destroyed. You'd still have to support the coin however, or even the rarity aspect won't matter. It would at the least most likely result in a higher price than ICO levels. Even with 72 extra hours, unless something changes with the rules or perhaps a buy wall, I don't see 80% happening.

Based on the sales so far, I think they better start looking for those free workers.

Devs have been rather quiet... I'm still curious if they have any plans if the ICO doesn't reach that 80% mark. With one day left, I see no real way for them to get there. Or what happens if it remains basically where it is now? Will they still support the coin?

They didn't even bother eating up the tiny orders right in front of their ICO. Which means they sold absolutely nothing at all today.

Heh, I am used to seeing hype, but not usually honesty + hype posted so close to one another, from the same person. The problem right now is the coin is sort of stuck in MP limbo, with people unsure if it'll beat out upcoming coins. So if there is a pre-MP pump, it may be somewhat muted.

The smart person would simply diversify, but just invest in whatever you believe in, and forget what other coins do. Drk is a good coin in my opinion, one of the cryptonote flavors may do well too... doesn't mean that Cloak or other anon coins can't succeed, as well... or at the very least, make money for investors.

Dates make sense if devs want to replicate the Drk model, and assuming they are watching the price. I wondered if the initial PoSA delay was on purpose, as after a pump many people want a decline, to buy back in cheap... and repeat the process. Repeated PoSA delays, or set dates for milestones, have that same effect.

I'm not saying the devs are doing that, or even care about price. But that's why you have dates. Pumps up until a specific date -- the whole buy on rumor, sell on news thing, repeated, based on milestones.

Of course it's possible that ICO devs will run away with the money. It doesn't mean all ICOs are bad deals though. I mean, look at Via right now... made money for a lot of people. Crypti probably will make money too. They were huge ICOs in comparison to anything run on Bittrex.

That said, an exchange running a new ICO, right after their previous ICO coin tanked, is probably not the best idea. I can't help but think Bittrex may have killed the golden goose by running ICOs so close to one another, with no safeguards as far as dev payouts go, beyond their wallet checking rules.

80% then, don't think they will come close. So I'm curious what the devs will do if it sells at 10-25% instead? Obviously the worker model won't make sense, but do they simply lower salaries, or pack it in and forget the coin?

And it got off to a bad start because of Iceberg. Their timing was atrocious.

That's why I kept mentioning the polo ICD rules, as it was one of the few ways they could assuage some of those investor fears. Fair or not, when an exchange runs an ICO and it bombs -- actually I should say every single bittrex ico has bombed (xlc, dcm, harmony, iceberg) -- and you run a new ICO the next day after a coin just tanked, it will have an effect. You can argue it's stupid or doesn't make sense, but that's just the way it is. People have short memories, but not that short.

You could just as easily say 'some random guy' reiterates his SELL/BUY rating on <whatever> coin. It's completely meaningless.

Someone dumped down to 1800. I will guess they simply dumped a lot to themselves, as otherwise... yeah, it is sort of ridiculous.

I'd like the devs to speak up about what will occur in the situation where they simply don't get enough funds to pay workers like they planned. Say if they get 10-15btc total, will they stick around, and just go with a different model? What is the min. they need to go with their worker model?

At 200-500K coins, the coin would normally be worth much more than ICO prices then. But that does require devs to still stick around... if the ico continues to bomb out, and devs vanish, even rare coins will flounder (i.e. XLC).

Not sure if any further dumping makes sense, unless someone really needs that 1-2 btc or whatever they'd get from a sale.  It's not exactly sensible to dump on c-cex due to low volume, although it just takes one nut to kill the price. Then again, it doesn't take much to pump it to double either.

Someone evidently has it out for the coin based on the order books, as someone dumped pretty low. Lower than I expected, as now I'm sort of an inadvertent holder of some of these.... not much, but didn't expect anyone to dump before the ICO was over like that, and not that low. Someone also set up orders at tiny increments to knock the ICO price off the main page -- really suggest the devs buy those tiny orders up.

I sort of view the coin in a similar way as most of the 'freebie' coins out there -- comm, itc, energy, sunflower, etc. Some sell for a couple of sats, and fade away. Some sell for a couple of sats, then hit bittrex, and get to 100+ sats.

It'll all depend on dev support and whatever whales do. I think it more likely the coin would hit bittrex and have a short pump, then dump, rather than go straight to a dump to 3-4 sats. Right now I'd just say it was simply a price correction -- it moved up way too quickly.

Well, my point being, at a certain level the coin could make investors money, even if the ICO does poorly. I expect it can do somewhat badly, just not incredibly badly, for the devs to pay people. I'm just not sure what number it'll need to hit -- maybe the devs can speak up about that. Or what happens if the coin is below the level where they can't pay people more than a month or so.

I think all unsold coins will be destroyed, so whatever is sold... is it.

Although if sales continue like it has been, it sort of creates an odd dilemma. Normally so few coins would then mean they'd be worth substantially more, but if sales don't reach some level of 'critical mass', then that means the devs can't afford to pay anyone like they plan to.

So if too low, it may just be a dead coin. Not sure what number they need to hit to make a viable go at it.

I had the same problem as everyone else with my Electrum wallet. Got it moved over to the new one, but I am using a virtual machine that tends to be rather clunky... after several lockups, reboots, etc I finally got the coins over to an exchange. And of course by then I missed the best prices.
