1721  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Open Source Plans for Modern Tesla Free Energy Generator "QEG" on: September 27, 2014, 07:51:42 PM
Yeah if I had the plans for a free energy device I'd just build a bunch of really big one and sell the power and become a billionaire. Not sell manuals for $12.

Can't believe people still fall for this kind of crap. Education system is direly failing to provide people with basic scientific literacy.

If I (and maybe also You) have free energy I would get free BTC for sure!  Grin

I may go for Taoism!  Cool

Even if I take religion as hazardous they aren't equal on damage, for this reason I keep a shitlist based on their irrational doctrines:

1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: china may fuckup bitcoin after russia on: September 27, 2014, 07:16:07 PM
China is a communist state as Russia before. Their communist gov is evil, and have killed millions of people and destroyed culture. They hate any freedom and human right.

As you knew, China has banned this site bitcointalk.org after their central bank banned btc. I knew there are many Chinese trade btc and ignore gov's ban, but if communist party throw them to jail for bitcoin?

Because now China is "anti-terrorism" and banned foreign videos on web(after they banned youtube, their own sites still have),and they banned google, banned fb, twit. etc.

So I Think The fucking communist party will fuck up bitcoin in china, and may use their miners to 51% attack the btc network?

Are you surprised to their reaction since scores of corrupts party officials used BTC to illegally export their fortunes abroad without leaving a cloue to police? Given such facts are you surprised that the current PRC President who is fighting his party corruption (to keep is power, not for people sake) instructed their LEOs, Judges, Prosecutors & other Party's official to suppress BTC?

Huh
1725  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best antivirus? on: September 26, 2014, 04:57:09 PM

1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: September 26, 2014, 01:41:15 PM
Yeah that got out of hand pretty quick didn't it.
Apologies to all for my participation in such giveaways.

Here's to some intelligent discussion.

I second that emotion, it did get out of hand and I must admit greed overtook me at times.

Good call.

Are giveaways as part of an announcement-thread still allowed?

+1. Kudos to cameronjmcphail & RJX.  Cool

Good to see the giveaways go. Many of them were just attention-grabber anyways, rather than actually giving away coins.
Just look at the DogeCoin giveaway thread by FORKPOOL. It has 1228 posts and not even a few people have been paid.
Those are fake giveaways. I'm one of few who actually make giveaways.

So we have to prune them for good.  Roll Eyes
Also, a new subforum dedicated to the Giveaway threads seems sound to me.

Just my 2 satoshi!
1727  Local / Servizi / Re: [VENDO] Voucher CEX IO on: September 26, 2014, 01:08:44 PM

1728  Economy / Economics / Re: Easiest way to make BTC? on: September 26, 2014, 05:09:37 AM
Okay, im new in this and i've been reading for a while, i've read this whole thread and decided to start posting, and from what i've gathered, there is 0 ways to make BTC outside investing with your own money... show how u guys pretend that there will be big adoption? Most people i've talked to about bitcoin, says im stupid for putting my money into this.

If You don't want to put your few hard earned bucks in BTC, you can still make a few BTC by:
1) Participate in a signature campaign open to your Rank (e.g. ★☆★Bitin.io » Instant Cryptocoin Exchange » Campaign, Sig & Personal Msg ★☆★ for Newbies & Jr. Members);
2) Try to play some free BTC faucets (possibly well-established, fair paying ones).

Just my 2 satoshi.

1729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Trading bots control the market on: September 26, 2014, 04:56:08 AM
I think sooner or later the bots will control the market. Even at stock exchanges they mostly use high speed trading bots these days.

1731  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do you have bitcoins and what is your strategy? on: September 26, 2014, 04:01:38 AM
My strategy is about hoarding BTC while using some to trade cryptocurrencies & fiat.  Cool Hopefully trying to avoid outcomes like the ones of previous economic bubbles (e.g. the Tulip bubble, the South Sea bubble,  the dot-com bubble, the Chinese stock bubble of 2007, the Uranium bubble of 2007, etc.  Grin

1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Invest In Bitcoin Without Losing Everything on: September 25, 2014, 10:28:54 AM
To begin with do not invest everything. And invest it on something reputable and trustworthy

If I have 5 BTC in my wallet. How much should I invest. For example I want to invest it in a gambling site?

Gambling is not an investment!  Shocked

If u want to invest some (not all) of your hard earned BTC you should considering trading cryptocurrencies.

In Soviet Russia, Bitcoin spend you!

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin ROTFL  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Although bitcoin cannot be blocked, Russians may not want to invest in it due to the fact that it's banned. The fear of future prosecution may convince Russians to cash out.

I agree. Maybe the only one who continue to use it will be the organized crimes, terrorists & other people who have no choice other than breaking the law to move, transfer or clean their money. Ordinary folks may cash out to avoid nuisances & fines.
1736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to be pegged to gold on: September 25, 2014, 09:39:52 AM
[...]So why not peg Bitcoin to gold? Of course Bitcoin being a decentralized and a non-authoritative system no one can force Bitcoin to be pegged to anything but only the people who use bitcoins themselves. Can there be any other way that Bitcoin be priced at some specific value other than being dictated by the free market, that is the exchanges, which are prone to manipulation?

If someone linked an altcoin to Urea i think is possible also to have a gold-linked altcoin. I'm more doubtful about pegging BTC to gold since how the peg whould be assured? Fiat currency pegs are enforced by central banks, in the case of BTC it's about re-writing the ecosystem specs.
1737  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: acquisto bitcoin anonimo on: September 25, 2014, 09:32:34 AM
Salve

Wink
1738  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do we defeat ISIS without U.S. Ground Troops? on: September 25, 2014, 09:20:52 AM
The only people able to stand against ISIS right now are the Kurds, and they are only succeeding because of U.S. Airstrikes. But the Kurds only defend their own territory. It is unlikely they will go further south to fight ISIS. Most of the rest of the Iraqi Army is turning and fleeing at the first sight of ISIS.

My question is: If airstrikes can only do so much against ISIS, how can we defeat ISIS in Iraq without U.S. Ground Troops if most of the Iraqi Army does not want to fight?

With other countries & groups troops. How Bosnian Serbs have been defeated? With US Ground Troops? No! They were defeated thanks to Croatian troops receiving aerial support, intelligence & training from US-NATO countries. The fight against IS would be a similar pattern with the US&Arab countries supporting Kurdish Peshmerga, Iraqi Army & maybe unofficially/secretly even Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
Same old stories running again..

Quote
A survey, commissioned by Conservative peer Lord Ashcroft, said 71% of 16 to 17-year-olds voted for Scotland to be independent and 29% voted against.

That is a gigantic margin. In future, there is no doubt that Scotland will secede from England, unless the British find some way to neutralize this huge gap.

Most of the 16 to 17-year-olds get their money from parents as pocket money. When they'll learn how hard is to earn money with jobs, I suppose may start to revise their positions.

The vox populi has to be respected, kudos for the large turnout
As somebody said, shows the limits of nationalism absent economic rationality

Agreed. Kudos to all Scots!

It's magical internet pirate money. It can be used for whatever illicit activities and can be easily stolen. Currency is more fun this way!

Also it stimulate the need for more Law Enforcement jobs!  Grin
