1163  Other / Meta / Re: ban self moderator threads on: January 18, 2015, 06:55:12 AM
This is not true. Absolutely nothing is stopping you from posting in meta, scam accusations, or the individual users trust ratings in order to alert others to their abuse. It is not appropriate that a legitimate and useful tool be removed just because some people who would probably get robbed any way MIGHT be fooled because if it. Ultimately it is up to the individual to use their best judgement. If the individual is unwilling to take the time to review the person(s) they are entrusting with their funds, it is ONLY A MATTER OF TIME before they are robbed. No amount of rules, scambusting, or precautions will ever change this.

I'm not asking that the tool be removed, just that newbies be restricted from using it. They should earn the power to delete posts. I see no benefit from 0-day old accounts having the power to moderate threads.

I sort of agree.  Makes sense for that elevated privilege to come after proving and demonstrating some level of trustworthiness.  is it possible to disable replies on a thread the same way they do on youtube?  I think that is also something that could be worthwhile but again it should only be allowed at higher levels.

+1. I think ability to use the self-moderation tool in own's thread should be given to members when they reach some rank between Jr. to Full Member. At this point they would be more comfortable with forum rules and better capable to handle lively threads. However, I don't think trustworthiness (i.e. capacity/willingness not to scam) can be affected by such modification, apart from a minor side-effect.

1165  Other / Meta / Re: Referral links in posts on: January 17, 2015, 04:14:34 PM
Referral links are allowed. They are only disallowed when posts/threads were solely created to advertise the service, low quality posts dedicated to the referral link and obviously spamming of referral links.

I think they may are allowed; however, i cannot be sure about it since looking at the Forum moderation policy it seems not allowed at all. Hope admin & mods would clarify it.

The policy to not remove anything worked when the forum was small. Now that we have thousands of posts a day, we can't afford 50% of them being junk. The moderators are now instructed to be less tolerant of low-value posts.

Some guidelines:

1. Free speech - you can say anything as long as it is relevant and presented in a calm and polite manner. Swearing, SHOUTING etc. make your post more likely to be removed.
2. No zero value posts or threads, like "SELL SELL SELL"
3. No pointless or uninteresting threads.
4. No referral code spam
5. No NSFW content

The same question i asked in this community few months earlier,

The Answer i got from many reputable member is that "You can use your ref link, but with ref link you will have to use non ref link." And i did the same in Gambling Section and Nothing Happened to my post.

Thanks

~ OTS ~

I don't know why people say this, but no it's not true. Spam is spam, doesn't matter if you add a non ref link. Welsh's post is correct.

OK, thanks. Got it!  Smiley

Magari una soluzione potrebbe essere anche una tipo quella adottata da Cloudminr.io che tra le regole della campagna aveva messo: You can post in our main thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=832448) 2 times per week, provided your post is efficient towards raising awareness(Eg. post if our topic is not on the first page.)

Just my 2 satoshi

Wink

Cointellect is a ponzi, not a mining pool.

True, their payout are way too high than any other pools. They also ask people to install their own "miner" application.

You can also avoid installing it. People use also scrypt mining with them ===>>> https://cointellect.com/download/advanced/
Cloudmining 101 rate it less likely to be a fraud than other cloudmining companies. Nevertheless, It is Always better to not put in more BTC than you're willing to lose.

No bitches waste my nervous...

I'm sorry to hear that Cryptsy gave you frozen masturbation instead of internet service. Possibly, you should consider not putting all your money into bitcoin if you have a cash flow problem with fiat.

Some of us *like* frozen masturbation ... excuse me while I put some Cryptsy carrots on this swelling.

We can prove it, also!

1173  Economy / Economics / Re: Were the Keynesians wrong? on: January 16, 2015, 08:22:33 AM
As the price was rising, all of the Keynesians kept harping about how nobody would spend bitcoins because they would want to wait to spend later when the price is higher, never spending their money.

And yet, for the past year the price has been going down, high inflation, a Keynesian dream. And yet, the spending did not skyrocket.

Why are Keynesians always wrong about economics?

Keynesianism has nothing to mean to BTC price since Keynesian doctrine relates to macroeconomics (economic policy). So far, BTC is going down since more players/parties adopted it - as per the old Exchange saying: buy on rumors, sell on confirmed news - also, i guess that the bitstamp hack add some burning fuel to the smouldering ashes.

CoIntellect is paying as usual!!!

Just got my daily payment in just 1hr from withdrawal to Cryptsy balance.
They've also made an announcement to say payments are processed normally. https://cointellect.com/news/view/?id=41
1175  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cointellect on: January 16, 2015, 06:38:40 AM
Im not able to buy basic+ contracts so if buy a pilot will be available instantly basic+ contracts?
Or I should wait until pilot contract expires?

To buy a BASIC contract you shall unlock it by buying first a PILOT one; however, after you have bought the PILOT you can buy BASIC contacts immediately.

FYI, this is a HYIP. Play safe.

Quite unusual comment given your red trust score. However, caution must be excersised with every BTC/money deal not only with Cointellect.
By the while actually they're worst scam than CoIntellect around, see Cloudmining 101 for reference.

FYI, this is a HYIP. Play safe.

Can you elaborate? How do you recommend playing?

CoIntellect is suspected to be a SCAM/Ponzi by some users; however, scores of other cloud mining initiatives are fare more worse than it, You could see it by yourself in the Cloudmining101 thread.
As usual, I recommend you to use it firstly as a mining pool than IF you want to put in some money to buy contracts, I recommend doing as me to not put 1 satoshi more than you can afford to lose (e.g. I could put in the money I waste on booze, but not the one I need for my flat rent).
Basically, as with every investment, do your own due diligence, play safe....and enjoy life.

Anyone know ways to make money on this forum?

As I have said earlier in another similar post, You can make a few BTC being enrolled in a Sig campaign - summary here - and making quality posts contributing to threads.  Making a quality post is not difficult since means only posting like in any forum while respecting forum rules. Since as in any other forum to be a respected part of the community you have to know the rules; I suggest You to earn some BTC by helping the forum reporting a spam!
By this way, You can swiftly learn Bitcointalk.org forum rules & guidelines as well as making some easy extra-BTC in the progess.

Just my 2 satoshi.

By the way, what is Signature campaign?

Signature campaign is an advertising campaign in which someone pays you to keep their promo message in your post signature space.

Non direi proprio...

http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitana_di_Napoli

O forse consideri come metropolitana qualche altra infrastruttura? Quale?

Ciao!

Stemby, La linea 2 della Metropolitana di Napoli in passato veniva considerata in tal senso. Probabilmente El Emperador intendeva riferirsi ad essa.

@Grand_Voyageur I can only see reports against newbies but I can see that you have had three bad reports recently all for what you have marked as things like 'low value post /1-liners' etc. I'd suggest only reporting posts that are very poor quality and not just for merely writing a sentence or so (one liners can be relevant). Whilst the posts may not have much effort gone into them it's subjective as to what constitutes spam so bare that in mind.

Thank you very much hilariousandco, I really appreaciate such a feedback since, as mprep wrote in the unofficial guide he compiled, "when deciding if a user has broken the rules, the staff have the right to follow their interpretation of the rules." So, You're really helping me understanding the rules better. By the while, it seems that while i can improve further I'm not the bad I tought myself since i'm above the average for my actual rank.
