1741  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: April 22, 2023, 04:58:58 PM
What sense does this make? Would you agree or disagree?

It does make sense for the government so they can save the economy but sure it didn't for the people in France which already cause unrest in the country.

AFAIK part of the culture in France is leisure. Taking that away from someone who is about to get 62 is like slavery. These people already planned to travel somewhere a year ago for their vacation. But now they have to work for 2 more years to enjoy pension.
1742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Suspended NEBL Withdrawals on: April 22, 2023, 05:49:27 AM

There were tokens more popular than this NEBL but were also delisted by Binance long ago. Cease trading on all trading pairs however is already too much but why are they not allowing the tokens to be withdrawn. I do have some tokens long time ago where Binance also have delisted and not enabling those tokens to be withdrawn.

If its not on their interest, you can just forget the token.
1743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 21, 2023, 06:07:17 PM
I do like to see Gilbert Burns fight again but ain't this too risky? And if he loses in this match there will be tons of reasons why. If I were his opponent I won't like it either. Winning against an opponent who should be resting and didn't have enough preparation time.

It is risky. Dont forget, that Belal trains with Khabib and Co. Which gonna help him to counter Gilberts take down attempts imho. Not going to say that Gilber is on a higher level, or Belal is to weak for him. But I see that Belal 16 out of 22 victories were by UD. Some say that a win is a win, but that guy has some problems with finishing his opponents. That is not a good sign. Even though victories were UD, everything could have changed 180 degrees in his fights just after 1 punch.

Yet again, fight again in 1 month, or in just two weeks (as their fight was announced today), that means Belals potential opponent screwed something and Burns was to save that fight. There is definitely something behind that. Gonna search for answers.

Burns will still be delighted to give it a shot even if there will be just a few weeks of preparation. The fighter is very successful in most of his fights and he only loses high-caliber opponents to which Bellal is definitely not at his level of skills. It will just be a bonus win for Burns.

Burns almost did it against Khamzat, I can only credit that fight to Burns he can sure fight someone that is heavily trained in Khabib's camp.
1744  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Essential one to new traders in Crypto currency on: April 21, 2023, 05:53:45 PM

One piece of advice I have read and I kept reminding myself about it that new traders should also realize before diving in is that there is a cycle of bull runs and bear markets. When the goal is to avoid loss, it's the investment timing and then waiting for that is to point out for them.

The volatility can be used to advantage but usually, it's BTC that has high volatility even in the bear market.
1745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: April 21, 2023, 05:18:36 PM
I am just curious to know why people favor one Sport over another, when it comes to betting? Is there specific Sport that increase your win chance or do you bet on those Sport for other reasons?

I know most people will favor certain Sport, because they know more about the players or the teams and information is power, when it comes to betting... but some Sport are 50/50 when it comes to the outcome of the match. (One lucky punch or kick can make a underdog a champion)

Please share your thoughts...  Tongue
Because we are used to it. When you enjoy watching a certain game for example in my own experience my favorite games are volleyball and chess so there's a huge possibility that I will bet on these two things. People also want to bet in their comfort zone, imagine you live soccer but you bet on basketball though same game but different rules, length of play and teams.

That is usually the case for gamblers who enjoy the sport, they bet on it because they also watch the game.
Not very different from the people who like the UFC as he said in the 50/50 that he is saying was that there is a very uncertain result of the match like in the MMA where an underdog can suddenly be a champ because one opponent is not well trained in a certain martial art like Wrestling or Jujitsu.

There are also users who aren't really a fan of the sports, they still bet but only depend on the picks of some users.

1746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of crypto influencers. on: April 21, 2023, 04:40:49 PM

As crypto gets adopted though, more and more of them are uploading their content. They are also motivated to make money for themselves. The other newbies who just learned how they make money are going to be interested to also do what the influencers do.

I see a lot of new crypto channels actually almost every day in my feed are new channels I have not visited before. If it becomes easier to be one of those influencers because of AI, don't be surprised they will grow in numbers.

Do you think they are a threat to campaigners in bitcointalk?
1747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any benefit of bitcoin to the government? on: April 21, 2023, 03:56:32 PM
A government can benefit thru the profit of course if they have a BTC stash.  The Kingdom of Bhutan was in the news that they were stashing BTC and ETH according to Forbes. They however put it on Blockfi and Celsius. : facepalm :

BTC will be useful to countries that don't have their own currency like El Salvador. They were using USD and BTC is an alternative to them and so they are mining. I'm not sure how true the news was but recently, Russia was said to be mining BTC.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: April 20, 2023, 07:58:48 PM
You don't need to worry about the odds from Biden or Kamala because chances are just a percentage of winning and not necessarily the truth.
Regarding the Covid wave, it might be very influential, especially in terms of the economy, but it seems that the Covid wave will not really be like a few years ago and if it has an effect, it might only affect economic and financial inflation.
Biden is indeed quite old with his current age which is 80 years old but he is still quite healthy so the risk is there but not too big to get to 18 months eighth.

You can't ignore COVID though. People are still dying and every now and then we are hearing about new variants and spikes. The last major variant (Omicron) had a low mortality rate compared to the Delta variant. But there is no guarantee that a new, more lethal variant will not appear all of a sudden. Anyway for POTUS 2024, a bigger risk is the poor health of Biden. He seems to be suffering from dementia, and it gets worse with age. Health condition of the candidates will definitely be one of the hot topics for the 2024 elections.

The world can not afford a new variant. Right now we are already allowed to go out and work to survive this crisis. If there will be lockdowns again because of the new variant, people will take it to the streets. Care nothing about this virus but breaking into some grocery stores.

With the announcement of Kenndy Jr running for president, I think Trump and Biden may just be out of the picture. This could be serious once he gets a ton of supporters since this is the time when there really is an adult in the room to just how to make things right.

1749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: April 20, 2023, 07:28:14 PM
Hi I have been toying with the idea of investing in BTC but have waited due to some investors saying the price will drop to 12 - 16k again. do you think it could still drop to this or are we more likely to move on up to 40k?

thanks in advance.
If you are one of the long-term holders, what is expected is an increase and for those who have not yet started investing, it is expected that the price will fall to $ 12K- $ 16K in order to make a purchase. The point of view is different from the assessment of the two, so it tends to decide conclusions based on knowledge about the market. The price has been passed by Bitcoin and currently the lowest price has not touched $ 25K in the near future.

That means Bitcoin has progressed from the previous correction process, I am not very sure that in the future Bitcoin will go down to the price you think, but I can guarantee that correction will re -occur for the next month. So decide to buy at this time or wait for the price to be higher.

I think it could still go drop in a few weeks but it will first go further up.

A long term investors though can start naking sats which is always been recommended to do as they said just DCA. Because you never know it may not really go down by now. It's a good time to buy while the price dips. Don't wait for Bitcoin because Bitcoin will not wait.
1750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does It takes time for market to be bull on: April 20, 2023, 05:36:32 PM

It is all related to supply in the market because, in the bear market, there are lots of investors sending their BTC to the exchanges and short-term holders are selling with plans to return when the cycle is about to explode again. All these take time.

When there are lots of traders already withdrawing their BTC from exchanges, the supply diminishes while halving also affects the supply from the miner's side.

1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 20, 2023, 05:21:41 PM
Saturday night event! A big one. The fight that we had been waiting for. The expensive one that I just mentioned above.  Grin

https://www.premierboxingchampions.com/gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia
April 22, 2023 Saturday, 8 PM Eastern Time.
The undercards:
Sena Agbeko versus David Morrell Jr. WBA Super-Middleweight Belt (Regular)
Gabriel Rosado versus Bektemir Melikuziev - Super Middleweight Fight

Place your bets!
Hopefully, I won't be that busy so I can watch this fight. I already got Tank by stoppage but I honestly want Garcia to score an upset. It's really crazy how Showtime tries to mislead by calling Tank a 3-division champion. And Tank is starting to believe these lies when he said that he already belongs with the greats.  Cheesy

Yes, fight is already approaching near! This should be a good fight and yes, I also got Tank to win by a way of TKO.

Tank's odds are still decent but I just cannot lie that Ryan Garcia's odds are more juicy. The bookies do really know how to do their job because I pretty much had a hard time weighing things and whom to bet as this two are both KO specialist, so there's no way of knowing who really got the advantage as a one simple clean swing will be enough to finish the fight.

With the help of Showtime, it can become a reality. You know when the lies are being said over and over it somehow becomes a reality. It boosts Tank's confidence too.

I have the feeling that the bookmarkers and the likes of Showtime want us all to be on one side and lose when suddenly Ryan wins. It's just a matter of who gets to land the clean shot to the jaw.
1752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese coins pump coming? on: April 20, 2023, 01:59:37 AM
Hongkong may life the ban on those coins next months but i think that it will not give a huge impact on the price. The era for those coins is already gone. This time the only new coin that got hyped. The hype will come after bitcoin will be pumped so high again.
I think that the price will remain the same. Even after such news and there was a big change in the price of tokens. There's no movement at all. Im skeptical with chinese coins these days.

It could either be the calm before the storm or the Chinese just have no interest in these tokens. FIL token pretty much have a good value back when it started but looking at it now, it seems like only the dev team is holding on.

We may really have to wait for what sort of regulation clarity they have for the Chinese otherwise it will be just like what Gensler is doing. There will also be a turf war for regulatory boards.
1753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 20, 2023, 01:03:07 AM

The game is based on luck and you know you couldn't be that lucky every day. It's not possible. If there is a strategy that would make money every day, we would all be doing it already.

This is not the kind of game that we use to play where there are numbers as clues on every block. It's pure guessing which one doesn't explode.
1754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advise to a friend on: April 19, 2023, 04:42:19 PM

He once was introduced to a scam altcoin and to his limited knowledge the one who convinced him to invest in the altcoin is influential to him. Though he may have learned his lesson after the loss, he may not be interested anymore until something will force him to. But today his friendship with that influential guy must have turned sour.

You can only advise so far but its still his decision.

1756  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: April 19, 2023, 02:00:54 AM
~Snip
To the people's eye, that's how it is. But if you dive deep into it. Only then you can find the true motive of the USA and NATO. They are helping, but in the process, they are the one getting all the benefits. This is how their politics works, and they use strategy to stay in power.
To regular people, they are helping someone in need. But their true motive is always personal gains. Don't you agree that USA possess the best technology and weapons? Are they not capable of ending this war? Then why they are not providing that and ending this? Of course they have some other personal agenda behind it.
This is how they manipulate the world and keep holding the majority of the "power".

Both parties are justifying how they don't end the war so far. The West wants to rule the world and Russia wants the security of its sovereignty. And the West seized Russia's reserve so Russia grabs the eastern regions of Ukraine. They both are benefiting though and only Ukraine is lost by far.

This war is spilling over already and China vs Taiwan is the next as if the crisis is not enough. Taiwan is supported by the West. I get the feeling that this is all just a play that eventually China unifies Taiwan and we the people are just being played.
1757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 19, 2023, 01:24:52 AM
It's not that we "should", but we can always give them a try if we have confirmed that they aren't really scammers that will just be gone once they have received our money. That's the thing with small platforms, it's a hit or miss, and if it's a hit, they usually don't have that much patrons to keep their business afloat. Even if these platforms offer unique experiences and other quirks that aren't present in huge platforms, at the end of the day those huge platforms will still get the larger share of the pie because they give a lot more value to people's money through promotions and a lot of bonuses.

The vouch of the users who tried the smaller platform can be good. Those minor platforms however will need to have funds for the marketing for anyone to see thier ads that somehow guarantee the risk takers to gamble in minor casinos. Sometimes they are going to try a signature campaign here in the forum for 2 weeks only. Funds are really a problem for small casinos and this is enough for suspecting gamblers to stay away.
1758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC calls Algorand a security - thoughts? on: April 19, 2023, 01:18:25 AM

Gensler is likely involved in insider trading. It was said in the hearing that personally promoted this Algorand. He was really grilled n the hearing and couldn't answer a simple question as to which is the basis for treating a crypto a security or a commodity.

They were already suspecting why regulation was yet not finalized after 12 years of them having watching over crypto markets. I suspect they are waiting for the CBDC before they will really do something.
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 18, 2023, 02:56:13 PM
I am not sure why. Does anyone want to be with unsecured gambling platform than the old ones with roots or high reputation and trust?
There must be a reason behind why other gamblers are sticking with the minor gambling platforms. It could be because of their VIP rankings. They cannot leave them or everything will be a waste. The wagered amount is so big that switching to another platform means starting a new account and lots of money being spent before reaching the highest VIP rank again.

I don't see any reason to stick to the minor platform but just to just something new.

However, I have been in a minor casino for sometimes so the reason that I go there could be just the same reason why someone would try out the minor casino. And it's becuase I have invested in the token released by the casino. If I weren't an investor in that casino, I might not stick to it.
1760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question Of Thought About Crypto Winter on: April 18, 2023, 02:32:06 AM

There were tokens that did not survive, now classified as scams.  But there are also lots of tokens that survived because they receive a lot of funds in thier ICO. It was a painful bear market as there were lots of newcomers in crypto because of the ICOs and it also had installed a valuable lesson after it.  The bear market in 2021 is not already affecting much since those investors already know what's coming. This cycle will keep repeating.
