1761  Economy / Economics / Re: Track the movements of big players and mutual funds. on: January 20, 2021, 08:26:32 AM
Who tells you they do not work together, I believe all these Bitcoin whales work together to pump the price and they have the price target they have in mind. There is no way no whale can put all the money up to pump Bitcoin from $10k to $40k. I am also scared of these institutional investors if there is anything the stock market has taught me, they are never your friend
It is in their best interest to work together so I have to side with you when it comes to this speculation. Don't be scared with this whales though, yes they are not your friend but you should know that there will always be an exploit that can be abused, always find positive in negative situations right? Why should we track their movements? Even if we do track their movements, what can we do about it anyway? If they create an alliance then we will call it a monopoly and the prices will be stabilized although the pumps and dumps will be unfavorable for individual investors.
1762  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you will have 100 Billions of dollars on: January 20, 2021, 07:45:33 AM
If I have that kind of money, I will be spending some money to get all of your nonsense post deleted in this forum and while we were at it, I think that I will also hunt the trolls and alts that are posting the same nonsense. I do not mind not making another 100 billion, if cleaning this forum of nonsensical and hypothetical post will be enough of an achievement. Most of the replies are ambitious which makes sense if you have the money. Back to the topic of how to spend it, I would just go buy an rest house in a tropical country and live there till the day I die.
Maybe if I had $100 billion dollars, it would change me. And I would become a different & worse person. The way that success and money change people. It wouldn't necessarily be all sunshine and rainbows I would guess.
It is within your willpower that you will change as a person, if you become a worse version of yourself then it is your fault not the money. Also I saw this line in the movie Parasite, money does not change people, they only show what a person really is. It is not the exact words but you will get the gist of it.
1763  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Navalnoy vs putin on: January 20, 2021, 05:52:06 AM
Really? What's the point of this stupid question?
I want to humor OP's question because I think OP doesn't know who Putin is. It may look like Putin is using everything at his disposal but you will never mess with an old man who works at a job were men die young. Vladimir Putin is a spy for USSR before becoming the President of Russia, and before that he is also the head of FSB(Sort of KGB) at the time of Boris Yeltsin. If you do not get the gist of what I just explained OP, then to make it clear, I am rooting for Putin in this hypothetical fight.
1764  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could Blockchain be used to create a platform for whistle blowing/leaks? on: January 20, 2021, 05:05:39 AM
There was a actually a concept done by some programmer that became a member of Cicada 3301. It is an escrow type of program that is transmitted across servers from different countries if the author of the article does not log in to the program which is then published around the world, the target users of this program were whistleblowers and journalists that are living in countries that have a backwards policy and no freedom of speech, it didn't gain traction but it was a good concept. If you want to create a platform, I think that you should just download Tails OS because that is the primary use of that one.
1765  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DID I GOT SCAMMED? on: January 19, 2021, 03:59:26 AM
yea you have been scammed. There is no action to take apart from learn from it and dont fall for the same thing again.
OP has fallen for it three times and I do not think that this will be the last time that OP will get scammed. I had a good laugh reading OP because the fact that a 30% did not seem to raise some questions on the legitimacy of the scheme. The first time should have been the last time that you have fallen for it because that is how some of this scams work, they say they want you to send money and then they will say it was not sent so you need to send another which is illogical in the first place. I know that your time was also wasted but next time try to do some research and ask some questions on this board before doing anything.
1766  Economy / Economics / Re: Jamie Dimon & Tulip Bulbs on: January 19, 2021, 03:17:51 AM
When there is money, bankers will abandon all prior principles and go with the prevailing sentiment.

This is exactly what happened with BTC and Dimon.

Nothing has fundamentally changed about BTC except for the fact that it is now attracting a lot more adoption and institutional investment. Being the innate opportunist that Dimon is, it is quite obvious why he has completely 180'd with his stance on BTC. He wants a part of the cake, and doesn't want to lose Coinbase and Gemini as clients either.
That is just one trait that makes bankers the real evil that needs to be exterminated in this God forsaken world. A principle that bends depending on how much profit they can get, bullshit morals that prioritizes their institutions instead of the welfare of the people, a gaslighting advertisement campaign that makes people docile and tamed and many other evil traits, I could go on but I think I will only highlight some. This dude doing a 180 on his opinion is an evidence that institutional investors like him will be the demise of many cryptocurrencies because they will definitely want this untamed power.
1767  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy restart big Boom and prosperity Coming on: January 19, 2021, 02:31:41 AM
If anyone miss any chances of success in life, another one will come, it may not be as big as before or noticeable as opportunity but it will come. Cryptocurrency does not make everyone rich and also notice that most people make better decision with their second bullrun than the first. Third bullrun could be generational wealth. The opening of economy will be slow and there are very few fund that most people can invest in the space, next year when the economy is better only the daring can pick something from here
It is not cryptocurrency that will make you rich, it is you the one that will use it will be the one to make that happen. The opening of economy shouldn't be the problem of the individuals, it is the problem of the government, if they put that blame on you as an individual then you need to evaluate your decisions on who are you voting for during the elections. If you do not risk something to make a better life for yourself and loved ones then you do not deserve to prosper.
1768  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: January 19, 2021, 01:19:59 AM
Not really, the majority of people still depend on the government and the centralized system. As you can see, millions of people use social media, banks, etc in order to make life easier. Soon, they give up on control their life by themselves and give that system more and more power.
This sounds pretty dystopian, I do observe this kind of situation in my country too. I think that the reason for the people submitting to the will of the system and being another cog in the clockwork is because we are conditioned to the point that we can't truly exist without spending money and depending on this archaic institutions, our education system did not teach us what we will encounter when we become adults, they created organic machines that is smart enough to do the paper work and passively submit to crony power. Hopefully, this will all change with cryptocurrency and new generation of thinkers.
1769  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of your total assets would you rather invest in bitcoin? on: January 19, 2021, 12:34:20 AM
It is possible that there will be a few more bitcoins in the future
As per coinmarketcap.com, the total bitcoins mined is 18,603,550 which leads to a remaining unmined bitcoins of 2.3M. Considering that bitcoin is a limited supply cryptocurrency, that's already a very few amount while it's starting to become known worldwide. But due to halving, it is slowing down which is assumed the last bitcoin will be mined by 2140.
You also have to consider the lost coins because there seems to be a lot floating around the void never to be seen again.
and there will be a possibility that the bubble will burst?
Assuming that it's a bubble, then it has to burst soon. But with its adoption rate that we see based from the news and the scenario that we had right now, I doubt it that it's a bubble.
Not all bubbles burst really fast, considering the waves in the bitcoin market back then with all the sharp turns and curves, I think that in a way it is a bubble.
1770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adult companies and bitcoin? on: January 18, 2021, 02:46:23 AM
Ahahaha pornhub did the right thing by introducing the ability to pay with Bitcoin.

Bur seriously, it's a really cool idea. Companies don't stand still and trying to introduce new cool features that will attract new customers. Amazing! I'm already waiting for when I can pay with Bitcoin in a taxi and buy eggs and bread in the store. Cheesy
Those things that you have mentioned will still be far from happening. Pornography industry is a very specific sector of Internet so I do not think that a lot can happen when they are putting crypto as part of their payment system. This will be favorable to the people that do not want a pornographic website taint their transaction history.
1771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to still make a good return from Bitcoin? on: January 18, 2021, 02:08:28 AM
In my opinion, why not make bitcoin a side job, yes, you can do your main job and invest or trade as a side job, and many of them also make people millionaires.
This quote is the most sounding option for anyone that is still confused including OP. Bitcoin is still considered by some as an asset so it is in your best interest to buy and hodl and get your profits when the time comes. Making a lot of income streams is the best course of action, if you have the resolve and determination to do a lot of work.
1772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Own only a small amount of bitcoin? Regardless, DON'T LOSE THEM. on: January 18, 2021, 01:32:53 AM
While the days of getting rich easily in crypto are in the past, it is always good advice not to lose your money. However, when it comes to Bitcoin, one man losing coins makes all the rest of ours more valuable, so it’s tough to shed too many tears about lost BTC.
That's really dirty but I do have to agree with you, satoshi even said that. The articles though, they are more of an hindsight for many of us because we never knew that it will reach this height in the first place, our best predicted peak was 20k but we have reached a double number. The only way I know that works for safekeeping my coins is to have a cold wallet that is inside a case together with a paper with the passwords written on it.
1773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people hold 1 Bitcoin at the moment? on: January 18, 2021, 12:54:39 AM
I don't think am excited to find out how many people has the equivalent of Bitcoin in their Bank account, so am not all excited about how many Bitcoin there is in Bitcoin wallet
Me too, I do not see the point of keeping tabs on people that have a x>=1 bitcoin in their wallet, that is like asking strangers what is the amount of money that they have in their bank account, which is pretty embarrassing.
1774  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that bitcoin could hit 10 million ever? on: January 17, 2021, 09:28:42 AM
There is possibility of 10 milliondollar in the future but what will drive the price there. We already have institutional investment that we have been clamoring for since 4 years ago, they created an unprecedented scarcity among new investors in cryptocurrency. We are considering the unit to take care of the trade but for whales they might struggle with liquidity at that big amount if need comes for trade.
I think the only thing that will drive the price to that point is a massive chunk of the capped supply is lost, my estimate would be around 75% of the capped supply will be lost before that kind of price happens which is impossible because more people that are involved in bitcoin are more careful with their private keys and their wallet so it will be unlikely that that kind of loss is possible. Maybe a war that would drive down cyber infrastructures could damage the supply.
1775  Economy / Speculation / Re: The best Bitcoin price analyst on the bitcointalk on: January 17, 2021, 08:44:24 AM
It feels good to be a good predictor and congrats to the two who came close. I just hope people do not build their investments around future predictions with the excuse that they (the acknowledged predictors) have been correct before and would still stand a great chance to be correct in their upcoming predictions.
Kudos to their prediction but I do not think that alone is enough to call them analyst, a lot of people say things about the prices and the events that are happening and there are other people that have the same opinion although they vary if they ask the prices. If they really are a good analyst, shouldn't they be more confident about their predictions, @guigui371 seems to have no idea. Maybe the better word for it is predictor rather than analyst.
1776  Economy / Speculation / Re: to sell or buy BTC? on: January 17, 2021, 08:08:43 AM
If you have been hodling around the 10k price point, I think that it is best that you harvest the bounty that you deserve for your patience. Constant hodling wouldn't get you nowhere but FOMO, remember that prices could go down and this is your chance to get a more than decent profit from your bitcoin. Buying at this moment with the current prices for long term is a good thing but remember to take out the other bitcoin that have been sitting there before buying a new one.
1777  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your price expectations for 2021 on: January 17, 2021, 07:32:27 AM
If price reaches $100k and then stops there, reversing into a bear market then it puts an end to the history of bitcoin bull/bear cycles and we can no longer predict what will happen next because it will all be new. We may not even see a bubble and the bubble burst anymore.

But if the previous cycles that have happened at least 3 times repeat, we should see $400k at least and it would mark the next bubble for bitcoin then kick start the bear market in 2022 with another 80% drop.
So far (starting from previous bubble in 2017) everything has been pretty much the same in the pat 3 years.
If that price peak is reached, it will be unpredictable but if the next halving did not have the same result as what happened in 2020, then that means that we had reached the Mt. Everest of bitcoin market. If they cycle happens as the quote says then that means that the growth is exponential and predictable which means that more people will only get in the train and more FOMO testimonies will be posted in this forum more than ever.
1778  Economy / Economics / Re: Stinulus go big or go Home on: January 17, 2021, 06:21:12 AM
snip
I believe so. They are not so weak so I think they can still sustain even though they print more money. However, there's no guarantee after all. Such actions will definitely result to inflation, the severity of the damage just depends on how their economy reacts.
It will bounce back, when the vaccines hit their target number of population. The rate of inflation will go up but I think with more people investing the money back to financial institutions at this time of pandemic, I do think that it will not hurt them. Remember that USA is the brainchild of capitalist pigs so they will do everything in their power to make the printing still sustainable.
1779  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big prosperty time big wealth on: January 17, 2021, 05:39:19 AM
I'm not surprised you haven't got any merit so far. If you write carelessly people won't give you merits. In general, as time goes by, there is more prosperity in the world. There are some ups and downs, obviously, this is not a straight line.
That's harsh but a needed statement to be honest, there are a lot of this radical members that put sensational nonsense. Regards to prosperity, I don't think that having a down in prosperity is not a good thing, as much as possible it should a straight line.
However, contrary to what certain ideologies tell us, today the rich are richer than 100 years ago and the poor are also richer than 100 years ago. We can apply this to 200, 500, 1,000 years ago, etc.
Thanks to inflation, the value of commodities increase overtime which is a good thing because a maintained inflation is a symbol or indicator of a prosperous economy. The only problem that it faces is that companies are reluctant to increase the minimum wages when the price of commodity increase which is counterintuitive in making the economy prosper.
As for the financial advice you give, it's fucking bullshit: to sell everything to buy bitcoin is like to play single number roulette. It's much more sensible to have a house paid for and then put the money you don't need in the short term (less than 5 years) into Bitcoin.
I was dumbfounded by that advice too, first rule in investing is to not put all your eggs in one basket and there is someone that does the opposite, obviously it is a gamble but considering that there are some that got lucky I think that it seems reasonable, if you want to be a homeless bum for awhile, I think this advice will be a good thing to follow.
1780  Economy / Economics / Re: Vaccination Started in India | Impact over Indian Economy & World? on: January 17, 2021, 05:03:27 AM
Getting earlier access to vaccine and giving them to public can be a great factor to regain the economy status and getting back to normal would be much faster. But as we are distributing the new vaccine there were already new strain that has more virulent and can spread much faster so there would still be problem even they had early access.
It is the X Factor in these economy puzzle, with more vaccinated population means that the workers are safe and can do their usual routine of going to work like there is no pandemic. The only problem with vaccinations is the logistics, which is a tricky problem to solve for some countries that have poor roads. The new strain is closely related to the older one and I think that once someone is vaccinated, it will not be a problem.
