1221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pizza Day 2021 on: May 21, 2021, 09:46:16 AM
Didn't celebrate in the past but now that I am on a lockdown with this pandemic, I think that I might order two pizzas and have some soda for drinks. Just a little celebration won't hurt and if you have access to stocks of Pizza company, you might want to buy now since the prices might go skyhigh with people starting to notice this exclusive celebration.
1222  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutional investors capable of selling their bitcoins? on: May 21, 2021, 09:00:29 AM
The answer is yes, they can sell their bitcoins, they have their reasons to buy bitcoin and hodling for the sake of the other people isn't one of them. This thread wouldn't exist if OP asked himself as to what he/she is going to do if OP has a lot of bitcoin which is pretty obvious that OP will sell those bitcoins.
1223  Economy / Economics / Re: Real Truth about money economy and Investment on: May 21, 2021, 08:03:39 AM
I tried to really understand your write up but I don't get it so I will take my point from the subject. Many people have different form of training be it  formal and informal. For investment many people can really venture into this but in studying, reading about the economy you need a proper education.
Not everyone who invests needs to have a proper education, I know some people who aren't a college graduate but they still did an investment, I think that if you have someone who taught you something, you don't have to get some fancy degree just to invest.
1224  Economy / Economics / Re: Risk of Scarcity. on: May 21, 2021, 07:25:36 AM
This has a lot of effect on my economy even before the pandemic we have been experiencing more import of goods and services than the import rate. Prices of goods and services have been on the high side since the pandemic and we are still facing it.
If a country doesn't support their local produce then an increase is really going to happen since import of goods is an expensive thing plus the time its shipped gets delayed, the more it becomes expensive. This isn't a pandemic problem, this has been happening for a long time.
1225  Economy / Economics / Re: The Downfall of TSLA on: May 21, 2021, 06:37:35 AM
Apparently they're getting into trouble with their solar roofs project.  Someone's filing a lawsuit.  They do seem to have a talent for pissing people off, heh.
Not any different from other big companies out there, I think pissing off people should be a natural talent for companies to make it big. Never heard of the lawsuit with the solar roof projects but I have heard that they had problems with people in Texas near their Spacex planned basecamp.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the motive behind the anti gambling campaign on: May 20, 2021, 01:00:28 PM
I don't respect people who are anti-gambling as I myself am a gambler, that's an insult to me.

The problem here is not gambling, but it's the gambler who lacks knowledge as they become irresponsible in gambling.
When we lose money in gambling, it's not gambling that should be blamed, but us, because we are the ones who is managing ourselves.

haven't we thought that the gambling industry is also contributing taxes to the government we all benefit from?

If we don't know that, then there's no surprise we will hate gambling.
Why would it affect you though? You are just a player and most anti-gambling campaigns are targeted mostly on the gambling businesses that profits out of the "irresponsible" gamblers that you are saying. The taxes that the gambling industry is heavily written off so I don't think that we are going to be happy about that too.
1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos ordered by IBF on: May 20, 2021, 12:13:49 PM
We usually heard this kind of excuse when they lose, it's not new because Manny Pacquiao also had an excuse that he has an injury when he was fighting Mayweather, why can't they just accept and give credit to the winner. If Loma really is not 100%, then maybe he can ask for a rematch and I'm sure Lopez would give him that any day.
It's not that easy to ask for a rematch because they have to feel what the crowd currently feels because if they decide for themselves without the hype of the public, the next rematch is going to get cricket noises. I find it hard that people gave away reasons and can't accept defeat but sometimes, you know that people have to protect their big ego. This fight looks kind of uneventful if the Federation is the one that is putting it.
1228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: May 20, 2021, 11:10:17 AM
~
pre care and main care are important because if it done right the gambler wont become addicted again but if they are not sure of the pre care and main care that they do thats the time they need to conduct a after care  .
all types of addiction is seriously dangerous and should be treated imediately by the help of a parent , relative and friends of the addicted person if they cant be able to surrender themselves in the rehabilation centers  .
I think that the three timelines that I have set should have equal importance because a lot of people forgot about the after care where the user is the most vulnerable since these are the parts where they are cold turkey.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 20, 2021, 10:10:24 AM
The point OP wanted to make was probably like this - there are Muslim countries where gambling is allowed. No one will say that Morocco is not a Muslim country, just because they allow gambling. So that means that it is possible for Muslim countries to allow gambling in their territory. Personally, I believe that religion needs to change with changing times. There is no point in sticking to ancient customs and rituals when the world is changing.
The problem with that is that there are hardcore believers of the Muslim faith so a change is going to be difficult remember that back in the so-called "Dark Ages" of Europe and all throughout the Middle Ages, Muslims are the greatest intellectuals and scholars of math, science, and philosophy to name a few but they suddenly stopped the innovation because they know that it will eventually challenge their faith.
1230  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: May 20, 2021, 09:18:08 AM

I believe Rollbit has policy on that, maybe you need to read this: https://rollbit.com/aml and as a licensed gambling firm they are that strict with this kind of thing, just my two cents.
The image didn't show what they were to do specifically to do that and they even clearly say that after playing there and spending 10$ then you can withdraw as much as you want.
1231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Too late? on: May 20, 2021, 08:06:52 AM
I don't know much about the mining part but the bitcoin purchase part, I don't think that it is too late but you have to do the final decision because if you buy now, there's no guarantee that you will get a profit immediately and you will have to really wait for a long time sometimes to get a decent profit.
1232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: $9 Billion worth trades got liquidated in last 24 hours. on: May 20, 2021, 07:29:47 AM
A lot of people lost money. It is what it is we all know the risks when we go for margin trading. Shorting would have been a god option in last couple of days but that is kinda agains human nature.
Shorting is the least expected because people have been expecting that bitcoin is going to go up after a really hard dip in the prices and you are right that people are losing money, a friend of mine shared a story about someone who committed suicide because his life savings got wiped out because of leverage.
1233  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading futures without knowledge of chart patterns, is gambling not trading on: May 20, 2021, 03:57:10 AM
That's right, moreover if it is only based on the feeling and also following other people free signals.
This is exactly gambling without any consideration. Once they are fortunate, they will get profits, and then they can fall so easily.  But, this is very often happening in the crypto market because they only think about the profits, not risks.
The problem is some of them got peer pressured to try futures because everyone around that person does it which is a suicide for your money because you clearly have no knowledge and your friends who do it doesn't have a clear idea too.
1234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's the easiest to trade when you aren't trading on: May 20, 2021, 03:07:26 AM
~
So we don't have to bother monitoring prices every day, and usually if we are right in choosing coins for investment. The holding of these
coins should be able to provide a large profit.
That's another problem that irks me, people are checking the prices almost all the time which leads to unnecessary anxiety in trading which leads them to doubt their decisions that can cause them to panic sell and disregard their plan.
1235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's the easiest to trade when you aren't trading on: May 20, 2021, 01:29:41 AM
An interesting strategy. I am of the opinion that you need to buy some coins and keep them until you reach a certain goal, then sell them. This is not necessary to do with bitcoin, you can also use altcoins.
It's how some of my friends do it, they buy some coins and park it and let it sit for awhile and watch the prices, hodling is pretty much the same as this one  since it tends to get long-term instead of a short-term stint, if you aren't good or don't want the hassle that trading has then you should probably do this.
1236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price goes down below 40K and how much it may go down? on: May 19, 2021, 01:42:36 PM
I wonder how many stories of wallets deleted or Bitcoins burned will surface in five, ten or even twenty years time from inexperienced newbies who joined the Bitcoin bandwagon during to Tesla 2021 smoke and mirrors gold rush?
Probably two or three of these stories will be true but I am pretty sure that there thousands or even tens of thousands who will make a claim that they have thrown or bricked their HW because they panicked and they thought that the Elon episode in the history of bitcoin is going to be the end of it. I don't know how low it will go down but I am sure zero is an unlikely number for bitcoin to land with a lot of lost coins.
1237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: any opinions about the recent btc price crash? on: May 19, 2021, 01:07:07 PM
I think negative news has a huge effect regarding this bitcoin price dropped. Many bitcoin holders sell their bitcoin for profit and the demand is not huge enough to maintain the higher value of bitcoin. But I believe it will not last long because whales are waiting to buy in a dip.
It's not just the negative news but also the current decisions of different entities that contribute to the increase in the prices, Tesla suspending the payment of bitcoin for their cars and China banning crypto altogether are just one of the most notable decisions that are causing the prices to go down.
1238  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: holding is not an easy thing on: May 19, 2021, 12:05:47 PM
depending on the situation, for example when reach all time higher then there's a drop it will be difficult to keep holding because people will think of taking a profit but i recommend don't sell all asset
Why would you sell when the prices drop when you could've sold when the prices reached the all time high. Also you are right that it depends on the situation but sometimes what's currently happening sometimes isn't the right time to sell. Only way to hodl for a long-term is if you have other means of making money so you won't have to use your bitcoin.
1239  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Atomars Scam on: May 19, 2021, 11:31:52 AM
You both need to post proof of your deposit without revealing any dangerous information. Scans of chat logs or emails will help you make your case too. There is also a scam format that you can use to make your case more readable: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0
But there have been more recent complaints about atomars: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5331690.0
@r34tr783tr78 is right, provide some proofs to make your claim more believable. The reason for providing evidence is to prevent false accusations from happening which is pretty damaging to any entity or person.
1240  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Burst.Money project, scamming bounty manager and participants. on: May 19, 2021, 10:09:37 AM
Never thought I would see the day that a prominent and efficient Manager is going to be duped by some bounty although I think that OP doesn't have to carry all the fault but the participants have the final say on what happens.
