1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 18, 2023, 02:07:08 AM

I believe everyone on this forum has made both good and bad decisions in terms of investing in altcoins. I recently made a mistake buying a lot of Dogecoins after Elon Musk changed the Twitter logo into the Doge logo. Price was surging and due to FOMO, I bought a lot at the price of $0.099 and afterwards it started to dump like hell. If I continue to hold Dogecoins, the price might be dumping even lower but if I sell them now, the losses become concrete and I'll never have a chance to win back. Have you ever had the same experience ? What did/would you do ? Please share your opinions. By the way, I am with FireDAO team, in charge of the global community. Please contact me if you have any inquiry.

I am one of those who made good and bad decisions in investing altcoins. But i had learned from my mistakes so many times. If an altcoin is on hype we should not go on with the flow because it could turn losses or income for us. Be very careful in investing altcoins. If you had bought them at a high price and suddenly it went down better to hodl them and wait for it to recover to be able to get profit. As an investor I would still hang on with the altcoins that i had until the bull run comes because i do not want to loose the original amount that i had invested.

I got your point and have learned the lesson. Actually I sold most Dogecoins when the price went down so I did lose some money but I still kept some in my portfolio. As of today, the Doge price has increased similarly to where I bought. I won't sell the rest and choose to keep them until the bull run comes. It's not that bad to sacrifice some losses to learn a valuable investment lesson. More importantly, this lesson applies to many aspects of life. I am happy with my losses and gains.  Smiley

What do you have in plan to not make this mistake again?

I used to join some bounty campaigns for altcoins and I started liking the tokens when the price goes up during the bull run, the price went down after it. I tried waiting for the next bull run hoping it could rise above its previous ATH. Sadly they are not pumping to its ATH anymore. The lesson that I learned is that sell them all during the bull run.

1762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: April 18, 2023, 01:56:49 AM

Things could change rapidly when CBDC is implemented in his coming election however so the edge is still with Biden. So many advantages to the money that he can print.

Some political analysts actually said that having no war during Trump's time is not a good idea. People like wartime presidents. More soldiers deployed more men will serve the country.
1763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are hidden signs to look for when you're dealing with a Fraudster / Scammer on: April 17, 2023, 08:17:55 PM
The first sign is that if they are the first to contact or initiate the conversation then they have a motive and most probably can scam you. You would need to ask yourself what's in it for them that they need to initiate talking and by then you can already sense what thier goals are.  I can trust more if I am the one initiating a conversation.

If you see they are very aggressive and forceful even when you both know there is no contract agreed upon. Something is wrong which is enough to suspect a scam.
1764  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 17, 2023, 04:31:51 PM

I can't see how you can decide which horse to bet on. Are you able to see the features of these competing AI horses?
It could be rigged all the time much like the phony race of Yobit. You can't complain about what is unfair to this kind of game. That's how it sounds and the house typically could just program which will win, all you can do is wait for the pattern and when it is your turn to win.

It's in meta though so are we the ones riding as the jockey?
1765  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe Not Possible For Governments To Get Off Fiat?? on: April 17, 2023, 02:17:24 AM
With the existence of BRICS nations gives the other countries to actually have an alternative to where they wanna trade. And then there's also cryptocurrency as an alternative for the citizen for which the political sanctions of powerful countries may not be as effective as before.

What could happen though is always a regime change for leaders who are not agreeing to the bloc. The consequences are quite devastating to the economy and when a country is divided, it will have chaos like what is happening in France these days as Macron visits China.
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting vs fantasy sports on: April 17, 2023, 01:20:40 AM
The newer generation probably can relate to that fantasy sports, they are likely the ones playing NBA games on PlayStation. It's not a real sport but definitely, someone with a good analysis in picking which athlete to put in a team has good skills.

The real sports where people buy a ticket are the real thing. It's something that people talk about online and are on the news.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 17, 2023, 01:11:56 AM

Every casino has giveaways for you to participate in a lottery game. This is the kind of lottery I believe where you pick patterns and many of us can win which is against the house as well.

There is another lottery game that I don't join especially the lottery where participants contribute to the pot and only one will be the winner. Its a big win though.

1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 16, 2023, 09:52:27 PM
gambling responsibly is a very hard thing to do. In fact, I think people underestimate the power of gambling and overestimate their own willpower. We are all only human, after all. And being human, we can only be as responsible as the universe allows us to be.

The secret to a somewhat responsible way of gambling is to develop your own discipline. This takes months even years of practice though and most people would not do it due to self-discipline being a hard thing to achieve by yourself.

If you write down your goals on paper and hold yourself to your promises, thats a start. Thats how I do it, anyway.

Probably that is one of the reasons many religions and organizations try to enforce onto people strict norms on gambling, because if someone gets into gambling without doing some previous budgets or setting rigid limits, it can be relatively easy to spiral into problems.

Regardless, I still believe that it can be easy enough to gamble responsibly. I have seen many people in my family to do so while I grew up. Nonetheless, I think there are people who are more inclined to become addicted to gambling than others.

The fact that a person set aside to allocate for gambling seems odd for some of these religious groups and then judges us about it. Not even thinking that each of us are different. But it's what they've been taught by their leaders as well.

Everything that's too much is true to be bad. That's why gambling needs to be done seriously by someone who is engaged in it. There are just people who won in one day and then the next day decides to make a living out of gambling like they could win everyday. In reality, we don't profit everyday.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: April 16, 2023, 09:26:17 PM

DCA seems to be used in BTC only. If you want to invest in altcoin just buy in bulk with your allocated amount for it like $500-1000 for every altcoin you see potential. But just buy the altcoin with a price that is below $1. It would be too much to invest a lot in tokens with a price of more than $100 already when you could have a massive profit from altcoin that is worth $0.10.
1770  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone remember trueflip.io casino? on: April 16, 2023, 09:19:31 PM

I remember their promotion in bitcointalk, those are the days of scammers. According to thier CMC page, their website is TFL.io and it doesn't work. There could be confusion as to what CMC is referring to. They must have abandoned the token and proceeded to just develop the casino.

Quite odd that they are not updating the Ann thread anymore and then suddenly emerge right now in time while the market is ripe.
1771  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Binance] Address expiration? on: April 16, 2023, 08:56:07 PM

I also received this email but didn't really check it. If there is a chance that the tokens sent will not be credited, it's best to just use the new ones that they actually give to us. It's interesting to know what is the difference between the new and old though.

Don't you think they will ask for a fee to recover the amount sent accidentally to the old address?
1772  Economy / Gambling / Re: $100 to $2519 on Strikebits.com today! on: April 16, 2023, 08:42:55 PM

New casinos ask thier players to review them and specifically point bitcointalk, that is like asking you to spam this forum in order for them to gain users here. Of course, this is a plan. Every new crypto casino today has plans to promote but new doesn't always mean real and the possibility of scams is out of the question.

That is very convenient to them while not really introducing it thru ANN thread. The community will not have the means to give them a trust rating if they don't have an account here.
1773  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽🎮🎲 Coinplay.com | Brand New Crypto Sportsbook & Casino on: April 15, 2023, 06:57:25 PM

Hello,

You failed to respond in the Askgamblers case and they ruled in my favour. Why don't we hear anything from you anmore?
https://www.askgamblers.com/casino-complaints/coinplay-casino-closing-account-and-confiscating-winnings-with-no-further-justification

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5446504.80

I doubt that you will receive any reply from them by posting a message here. It's clear that they are now dodging the issue since they already stopped their long active signature campaign and their official bitcointalk account is inactive since April 13. It's either they will abandoned the forum promotion or they are just preparing necessary document to counter your case. Because paying you is the easiest way to deal the issue yet they let the issue escalated without any official statement from them.

Let's see if they will come back and choose between the easy or hard way on dealing with their issue. One thing is for sure, Your case is valid but we can’t do anything to recover it since coinplay doesn't care about their forum reputation.

Right now it's too late to play him. Even if Coinplay pays him today, the reputation is already ruined because the attempt to scam is already done.

I could be wrong to assume this is in thier mind right now which is the reason for not coming back to reply. But it's also just a small amount that it come to this already. Such a waste they have built this casino.
1774  Economy / Gambling / Re: PVP Games Lounge launching soon on: April 15, 2023, 06:27:55 PM
I don't think won't be the conclusion of the OP. To develop a good project takes some time, I don't believe that the OP has given up of his early idea of the project. If the Op was active on the 9th of this month then that is to say he is working on the project and coming here to see things and take some information and continue his project. He will surprise us one day with his project. It might be a long term project. Let us not draw the conclusion on the matter here.
I like your positive way of thinking. yes maybe it's true there is a possibility that OP is currently developing his project and wants to surprise us all by providing a very interesting PVP game for us to try.
but a little disappointment for everyone here is only when OP is active, people here just want OP to give a few words that make us all believe more that OP is developing his project. because sometimes I myself also don't believe whether the OP is really developing his own project whereas when he is online he doesn't give any news.

OP posting all these himself could mean he is developing this project all by himself. It could be that he is the jack of all trades but marketing always matter to make it up there. He needs more than just a huge fund.

I'm gonna be playing the negative here  Cheesy PVP will be great, it will be appreciated of course but once it's launched many developers with bigger funds will simply copy the idea and release a game with more advantages.
1775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FTT comeback on: April 15, 2023, 06:04:35 PM

Creating another token would be ridiculous. Alameda and the FTX itself are holding these tokens, it's in thier best interest to continue using them and pump the token to make money out of this comeback.

The best that FTX can do is allow its users to withdraw thier balances and if they really will re-up the exchange for good, then it's up to them. But I can already see an uphill battle to regain the trust.
1776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can this be effective against the increasing numbers of gamblers? on: April 15, 2023, 05:44:11 PM

Those gambling platforms will advertise somewhere else and put their logo still visible to audiences and most likely they will also be advertising online. Who knows they are going to be in bitcointalk more.

The goal I think of removing their adverts on the shirts of the players is because it is somehow visible to fans who are kids, thereby generating minor gamblers.
1777  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of crypto casinos with high wagering requirements on: April 14, 2023, 06:44:46 PM
Livecasino only applies x5 wagering requirements when you are suspected coin mixing as per the terms and your table details. X1 is there standard wagering requirements which is unfair to list them along the casino that have a standard wagering requirements above x1. I play on livecasino a couple of times and I only bet x1 to withdraw my account.

Yppou will need to play a lot in the casino or withdraw immediately before completing x1 wagering requirement in able for your account to become suspected as coin mixing.

I’m a bit confused. You say that casinos have wagering requirements to withdraw a no-bonus deposit. Does that mean if you deposit your own funds that they will not let you withdraw until you’ve gambled a certain amount? I could understand if it was for some sort of deposit bonus, but otherwise it sounds like you lose the second you make a deposit.

On Trustdice case yes because their bonus doesn't have wagering requirements.

That's surprising they have a condition only for those users using mixers. Sure they have thier reason.

This thread would seem to damage thier rep. This is not marketing stuff for the casinos but entraps gamblers to deposit and play more just so they could withdraw.

Quote
LIVECASINO.IO   |   >x5   |   wagering requirement of at least 5 times the deposit amount when suspected

That's funny. They know bonuses are exploited so the bonuses are also used to bait.

1778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Federal government and banks are threats... on: April 14, 2023, 06:27:10 PM
All governments and banks are threatened by BTC also. Nigeria is where the CBDC has also experimented and they want all people to use it. If people are not using it, the government is alarmed. In order for you to try the CBDC, they will definitely coerce the use of CBDC by banning and seizing crypto assets from Nigerians.

Quite totalitarian but they will do what's good for them and you as a person who wants freedom also do what you need to do.
1779  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price movement with a millino on: April 14, 2023, 05:38:11 PM

The volume is much more than $1M. Today it's $22B which means this $1M will hardly move the price up or down.

But it must affect the price if you do it in the small exchanges or in a DEX since the price in those exchanges is very much different from the large exchanges. But I'm not sure if you can influence the prices to be dumped and people to start buying when you do something even when you try with $10M.
1780  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the support zone ? on: April 14, 2023, 05:20:14 PM

The resistance zone usually becomes the support zone in the bull market. For example, the $25200 price in the daily chart was once a resistance zone that price hardly can't break since February but it finally breaks above resistance in March.

In the next few weeks, if the correction happens that $25,200 could be the support zone which is where you might wanna buy more BTC to gain in the next spike.
