1781  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Golden Cross approaching on: September 20, 2021, 03:24:44 AM
Moving averages relate to momentum in the price, its nothing more then data till conclusions are pressed as to how this will effect current price.  Its not especially far fetched for a rising average price to be considered bullish, the 50 day above 200 just implies a positive phase where as earlier this year we entered a sell off period quite normal after such rises.
They are indicative lines that lag behind the price movements. Golden cross does not make sense if you see it on a chart with decreasing volume. It can be fake golden cross. If you see a golden cross with increasing volume, it makes sense.

Speculative trades do tend to guess MA as support or guidance in some way which is probably where it becomes too stretched in its reliance however its never just invented its a reflection of price history so valid to refer to imo.  Right now we just above 2 day average, a very fast measure to trade along and also the monthly average price is in this area, sideways consolidation is occurring most likely.
Indicators with lags like Moving average are not good to use. Because you are late than others if you use lag indicators. If it says bullish, bull run already began for a while before. If you take the signal, and buy, you can get trapped.
1782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that it is said that South Korea will close many trading platforms in on: September 19, 2021, 11:25:37 AM
When people ask questions about ban, close of trading platforms, the answer is different.

Upbit became the first cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea approved by the government to follow FATF's guide.

Upbit is the first approved exchange but this achievement means South Korean government opens to approve exchanges that follow their guide. They don't have reasons to close crypto trading exchanges for whatever reasons.
1783  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc $100k prediction by eoy on: September 19, 2021, 11:00:51 AM
People have been predicting bitcoin to hit $100K+ by the eoy and with 3.5 months left, we're nowhere close.
$48k and $100k. Do you think it is not close? Two weeks of big run will bring Bitcoin to $100k.

Though I felt the same way, sometime like maybe its a pipe dream.. but a lot of people still believe this, and one thing that I think I saw for certain the other day.. That Walmart fake news for example.. The price within 10 minutes went from like 44k to like 47k .. I don't think that was small investors who drove price up that fast, I think that was institutional money buying the fake news..
News is part of the market and when the market is bullish, fake news can not bring the price down. Fake news can make some hiccups but price will keep rising.

Fake news only show its power in bear market and people are fearful and fake news make them panic.
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible for SHIBA INU to reach 0.01$? on: September 19, 2021, 10:51:21 AM
Agree. I wouldn't invest into SHIBA for the long term since the risks are too high. Inflation is what's going to kill the token anyways.
SHIBA is a short term FOMO altcoin and it won't be a good survivor when the Bear comes in the market. I don't know when the Bear will come but  if a coin can not survive through a bear market, it is not good.

Even an altcoin can survive through a bear market, what will it lose value from all time high? 90%, 99%. I would not take risk with SHIBA and would not consider it as an investment.

We should take the opportunity of the "Coinbase pump" to sell at a profit.
Buy the rumors, sell the news. This advice is always true. You can not practice it and sell at all time high or peak of each wave but practice it will keep you not be trapped with FOMO and stuck at peak or all time high.
1785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm back into Bitcoin! on: September 14, 2021, 04:07:51 AM
Today I woke up to this: 2.49 BTC sitting in the balance field. Man, I knew Bitcoin wasn't worth 20$ anymore! Let me tell you, this made my day, probably, my week or even this entire year!
Congratulations but is is a real story?

Such lost or lucky story with old Bitcoin wallet is very common. I don't request and I don't have rights to request you to show evidence and convince me that your story is real.

If it is real, you are very lucky because you found your wallet file and it was not encrypted and your Bitcoin was not stolen.

Enjoy it but don't sell your Bitcoin or use it to buy shit altcoins.
1786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: September 14, 2021, 04:01:57 AM
4 months ago Litecoin hit over $300, I sold a small part, but I have some saved for the long term. I believe it's just a matter of time (not too long) to be worth at least 3 or 4 times that.
The top altcoins will follow Bitcoin. Bitcoin moves up, top altcoins will rise together.

If you invest in Litecoin, and want to hold it, you have to think of Bitcoin. What will happen with Bitcoin price in future months or years (if you are hodler)?

If you think Bitcoin will have an uptrend (this year), you can hold your Litecoin. If you think Bitcoin will have long uptrend, not only in this year, you can hodl Litecoin.
1787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that it is said that South Korea will close many trading platforms in on: September 13, 2021, 09:21:43 AM
It is a fud.

South Korea is one of rising nations in Asian crypto market and in the nation, there are many changes in regulations so far. Government try to implement more regulations, to reduce scam ICOs and protect citizens. They are a modern nation not like North Korea so they know what are happening on the world. Consequently they will open with blockchain industry and crypto exchanges.

Close them all, no, never.

Do KYC, pay tax, and a few more requirements if implemented, then continue operations of crypto exchanges and trading activities.
1788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Solana still bullish now? on: September 12, 2021, 11:39:13 AM
I imagine that investing into something just as it has already skyrocketed never made sense to me at all. Does that mean that Solana will not go up? Of course not, it could still very much go up, or it may go down, nobody really knows. However irregardless of going up and down, it doesn't make sense to invest into something that shot up so much during the last periods.
Solana is hot in latest weeks but it can not rise forever. I turn on the weekly chart and honestly, it's not my offense to Solana fans, investors, in my opinion, it is time to sell Solana.

Sell it and spend a few weeks in coming to see how it moves. I wait for its deep corrections to about $70. There are other altcoins that can give investors safer entries because they have yet skyrocketed like Solana.
1789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin trading? can Bitcoin trading profitable without having lost? on: September 12, 2021, 11:29:36 AM
Trading is not easy and most of traders don't make money but they make loses. The percent of traders who end with loses from crypto trading is higher than general tradings.

Trading the Stock Market – Why Most Traders Fail

This statistic deems that over time 80 per cent lose, 10 per cent break even and 10 per cent make money consistently.

1790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Proof of Work still the winner on: September 11, 2021, 02:19:44 PM
“Clean Energy”, “Dirty Energy”, that’s the narrative the nocoiners wanted you to believe.
It is narrative attack to make bitcoin outsiders are fearful of any potential participation. It succeeds to prevent a massive flow of new bitcoiners but it won't be able to prevent all people become new bitcoiners.

Although mining uses renewable energy, as hydroelectricity sources are usually cheap, I think that all this dicussiion about renewable energy, pollution, etc is out of bitcoin scope.
It is another thing. Bitcoin mining industry is green because of big renewable energy proportion and also most of renewable resources are cheap.

Quote
Bitcoin uses energy to secure the network. Energy is something valuable, this is why bitcoin is safe.
The cost from energy and ASIC equipments constitutes the intrinsic value of Bitcoin. Yes, I agree that Bitcoin is safe.

1791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best taking profit techniques to maximize gains out of the upcoming blow-off top on: September 11, 2021, 02:13:56 PM
I heard some traders prefer to sell a % of their bags based of the % in the price increase.
It is good to take profit and enjoy the bull run. You never know when the bull run ends and where is the top. Therefore if you only wait for the top, you will sell under the top when it is reached, and price crashes and corrects to lower highs.

I suggest to sell part of your coin to retrieve your initial capital and you can take profit with a few more part of your capital to enjoy the bull run as said. The last part, you can wait for the top.
1792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [DOT] Polkadot Speculation on: September 10, 2021, 01:57:17 AM
DOT is a currency that has had a lot of attacks lately, now DOT has to resist the bearish attacks that have occurred, for now the price of 28usd dropped to 22usd, and investors are still buying despite the market direction:
No worries. Before a rise, attacks will appear first. From the rise of $SOLANA, I wait for $DOT around $100. After the attacks, after the healing process, after the market calm down, $DOT will have its turn.

September will be the month for $DOT. Moving back to the all time high, breaking it out and heading towards $100. $100 is x2 from the all time high currently, it is a possible mission.
1793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you profit from the dipAt on: September 10, 2021, 01:37:05 AM
For me I joined the trend after the formation of an evening star just above the overbought zone I knew it was going to be a massive sell so I joined the train and made some cool profit. It might likely take a longer time for another pullback for now let keep consolidating around $45k-$48k.
Bitcoin will dive again to $43k to $44k in next two weeks. After the mid of October, next month, things will become better on the market and we will see another campaign on social media for Bitcoin.

Since mid of October, I believe that on social media, there will be more positive news than negative news because market makers will try to lift the Bitcoin up, to the top of this bull run.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Proof of Work still the winner on: September 09, 2021, 10:57:54 AM
Bitcoin is green enough.

The Bitcoin mining network 2019. 73% energy for mining is renewable.

Bitcoin Mining Council Survey Confirms Sustainable Power Mix. 67% of power is sustainable.

Global Bitcoin Data mining Q2 2021. 56% of Energy power is sustainable.
1795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are there bounties in Solana or Fantom. on: September 09, 2021, 10:40:01 AM
Bounties are for lazy people who don't want to work but only copy, paste, shill coins and get payments. The forum has problems with bounty spammers and they bring it to Reddit, Twitter, Facebook too.

Contents from bounty hunters are no value.

Solana can help you because fee is very cheap and it saves you with small earning from bounties.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7th September 2021 Bitcoin becomes legal tender first in history on: September 08, 2021, 11:33:16 AM
The protests against El Salvador’s Bitcoin Legal Tender Law, not against Bitcoin, might also be supported and funded by the opposition of the government, who are politicians themselves whose agenda should always go against the current leadership.
It is chaotic political situation in El Salvador.

Yesterday, the first ever time in history of Bitcoin and the world, there is a first ever nation that bought a dip. What is the nation? El Salvador.

150 Bitcoin was bought in a dip by El Salvador. It looks great action from them but I don't know how the El Salvador government can quickly decide and take action to use their national budget to buy Bitcoin.

How did it happen?
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Prediction – Will ETH Hit $5,000 Soon? on: September 08, 2021, 11:23:06 AM
I really hope ethereum price will hit $5,000 but suddenly the price is dropped last night and also bitcoin is doing the same right now. Market is really confusing and why is it happen exactly? is it normal by the way?
hoping for the best to ethereum so the price will hit $5,000 or even more.
I believe Ethereum will jump into a long accumulation. It will hypernate for a while before it returns to a bull run. I think the hypernation and accumulation will take months. Perhaps it will complete in early of 2022.

Compares 2017 and 2021 markets (from ecoinometrics). The chart gives you some points of price for tops and bottoms if 2021 market repeats what happened in 2017 market.

I think it is very probably to happen because in 2017, Bitcoin topped in late of that year and altcoins top in January of 2018.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7th September 2021 Bitcoin becomes legal tender first in history on: September 07, 2021, 09:09:23 AM
El Salvador on Tuesday becomes the first country in the world to accept Bitcoin as legal tender, despite widespread domestic scepticism and international warnings of risks for consumers.
If officially happened, today. The first ever country considers Bitcoin as legal tender

Coindesk article. I read a news that El Salvador bought and hold 400 Bitcoin. It's a beginning, the first nation accepts Bitcoin and the first nation holds Bitcoin.

1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 07, 2021, 08:48:24 AM
The current ETH emission rate is 1.9 ETH/ min. The Burn rate (24h) is 7.12 ETH/ min, (1h) is 6.79 ETH/min.
Source:
https://etherchain.org/burn

Since EIP-1559. Rewards: 443,292 ETH; Burned: 222,861 ETH
Source: https://watchtheburn.com/

If the burn rate maintains like that, total burned will overtake total rewards since EIP-1559. Is it what Vitalik team aim at, only create a deflationary era but transaction fee is still expensive.
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 06, 2021, 11:06:34 AM
It will be one of reasons to bring a new FOMO wave to Ethereum.

Honestly, I see two opposite things from this record. The gas price is too high and the upgrade does not solve it for small Ethereum users. The expensive gas price and transaction fee contribute to high burned ETH and causes the deflationary day.

I don't know how it can happen if transaction fee is low. Will it be included in the algorithm of Ethereum? How long the deflation can last?

Does it only occur as side-effect of expensive transaction fee?
