181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: February 10, 2018, 08:35:50 AM
For everyone asking when Semux will be listed, the dev is already working on that and is currently contacting multiple exchange. They are just waiting for reply from these exchange sites. Also, there are still codes needed for semux to be easier to add to exchange and the dev team are currently working on these.

The team is currently focused on the following codes to help semux in the long run:

- Multisig
- DDoS Resistance
- Wallet optimization for Large Number of Accounts,
- Validators slashing protocol

hmm so basically i ve spent 1000 sem for nothing

btw i m the only one delegates in the whole african continent so please feel free to vote for me and help me out guys

my name is papamoi in the list i m in 102

One way to make your delegate productive is to have it as a public pool so other can vote for you and in turn you share the rewards. Download the pool software below and set lower than  most pool fee. Then visit discord to announce your pool to get more votes and make it as validator

Signature Campaign of week9 is not paid now? I donot receive it.Is it over?

Calm down man, there is sometime a little bit of late, all signature rewards will be paid. Stay tuned!

But on the first page, there is still not notify when Signature Campaign of week 9 is paid. Why devs don't make some bots for doing something automatically? I believed that there was a few participants after eliminating all newbie and jr.mem.
Dev has scripts ready for this. What happened is that during the processing of rewards for the signature campaign the was a downtime on bitcointalk. Dev will process the payout for the signature campaign later.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: February 05, 2018, 03:33:21 AM
There has been a delay of the signature campaign rewards due to bitcointalk downtime earlier. Dev will send out rewards later.

As i understood semux isn't traded at exchanges yet. The only way is to buy direct from users?
That's correct. Devs are still working on the code to make it easy to add to an exchange. For now you can visit our Discord for OTC thread: https://discord.gg/MWFPBEv
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: February 01, 2018, 06:58:08 PM
It is possible mine Sem as a delegade without 1 vote?

That is not possible. Votes are the only way to be a validator and to mine. Only the top delegates called validators can mine.
Hum, but when I look in my wallet at the list of delegate and validator and doubleclick a delegate with 100% Ratio it shows me that this Delegade just forged Blocks ?

This means that at one point that delegate was a validator forging blocks. But if it is already a delegate and no longer a validator that means he has been voted off from the top 100. The 100% Ratio it shows is indicative of its performance when it was still a validator.

i have only 500coin, so can i mine this coin???  Roll Eyes
p/s: Semux seem like masternode coins.

You can earn by voting for a validator pool. This will lock your coins and will earn daily rewards.

Here are the known pools that automatically share rewards:

Anonymous pools:

General 01-02-03-04 they are all individual pools and the fee they are taking %20 (%18 for themselves %2 donate to the developer of the pool manager.)
Semuxpool_com and Semuxpool_com2 are taking %20
Mddsemuxpool - Mddsemuxpool2 are taking %20
Semux_pool_party are taking %8
100_tokenpar_com is currently only giving %0.5 to semux dev and share the rest of it.
Pool_borderline is taking %0.5 fee for a short time after 2-3 days later it will be %6
lvl3pool is taking %6
Tent is taking %5

Need registration:
https://semux.info/pool
They are taking %25 for a fee.

196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: February 01, 2018, 07:18:52 AM

Thanks for this informative post.

For the anonymous pools, how can we be certain we can get part of the pool income similar to how semux.info does it?

The pool dev is still currently working on having a front end for the pools to show balance and estimated earnings.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: January 31, 2018, 11:47:04 PM
in the Wallet at the site of Delegates is a Ratio. What does it mean? By the way. Sorry for my bad english!
Ratio is number of forged blocks devided to all blocks which can forge that validator.
The smaller the ratios, the more blocks are missed (due server or software failure/shutdown).
Double click on a validator row and you will see detailed info.

meaning that the network should theoretically produce 2,880 blocks per 24 hours. In reality, 2,880 units were produce in 25 hours 30 minutes or 26 hours. It is dispersion or bug?
It's BFT). Not a bug. I described the process in the russian thread.

Thanks!

Can you explain here in English?

Why there isn't exactly 2880 blocks in 24h?

The semux dBFT protocol provides 1 block per 30 seconds. If that is the couner alone then you get 2blocks per minute, 2x60x24=2880 blocks in 24 hours. However there is also network propagation, 67 validators need to vote to certify thatbthe next block is not tampered. This happens in a span of 1-30 seconds. This makes the actual process go more than 30 seconds per block and 2880 blocks going ng beyond 24 hours.

We will release a whitepaper releasing more specifics about this.

Right now in discord, you can't get SEM unless you pay about 23k satoshi btc per SEM.  Thats around $2.5 per SEM.  Given that SEM in circulation is about 25 million (the other 75 million is block rewards), we can say that the market cap is around $60+ million.

You don't correctly determine the number of coins in circulation. Coins that are in the hands of the developer can not be attributed to coins in circulation. Therefore now it is much less coins on hands. I did not count for sure, but something about 3-5 million. Only these coins are now available for sale. More precisely, they can be accessed if someone wants to sell them.  Smiley

Just for info: 3,629,289 SEM in votes.

Do you mean that developer doesn't join the voting process and validation?

That is correct. The following coins will not be part of the voting process and validation:

#   Balance                   % of coins    Address & Name
1   9 866 788.89 SEM   39.5261%   0x541365fe0818ea0d2d7ab7f7bc79f719f5f72227 foundation (10M)
