What determines the probability of block validation? As I understand it's not depends on SEM amount. Is correct?
It's simple round robin. Validator are listed from highest to lowest and get to validate the blocks one by one. If one validator is not available during its turn it will get skipped(miss a block) and the responsibility will go to the next validator in line.

how can i be a delegate
Delegates and Validators wiki What do you get as a validator Validators are the ones who forge and validate the blocks ang get block rewards. Only validators can mine.

what is the mining specifications, I guess is based on something similar to Bitcoin algo. Wallet needs to be fully tested before release
its still on beta, you can mine semux when you register as Delegate(one time cost 1000 SEM) and vote up for yourself to become a Validator, you need more than 14770 SEM now Rank #55. you can see it on Wallet tab Delegate. correct me if i'm wrong But with the validators number increasing (100 max) this amount may lower right ? Yes, when dev increase the max number, but i hope dev will work on better system, now it's looks not so fair, you can always kicking out as validator if poeple has more SEM As far as I understand, the number of validators will slowly increase until it reach 100 and not move from that. And a pool should be added, a validator where people can vote and get shared reward. Or at least a few words where said no Discord. I don't know if it's still the plan or not. That's the plan. Max 100 validators. A pool need to be setup.

Great idea when listed on exchanges?
We will finish beta testing first then the launch of main net before thinking about any exchanges. This will happen most likely early 2018.

Is there a minimum system requirement for running the SEM wallet?
If you are not running a validator then system requirement is pretty low. At least 1GB RAM, Single core processor and Java.
|
|
|
how to update wallet to beta 4?
- Download the new wallet at Github.
- Copy the database folder and wallet.data to the new wallet.
- Run semux.bat or semux.sh

Yes, this project seems to bring something news that'll rock hard. Still, I saw a few dev having really bad reactions to Java. I'm not coding do I don't understand why, maybe someone can help me to understand why they're reacting so badly when they spot the Java word ?
It's a matter of preference really. Most experienced dev thinks Java is too easy and is suited for top level applications only not for critical systems. But for this project Java is well suited, it's portable and cross platform.

Where can we find the requirements for being a delegate? I'm getting an "insufficient funds" message A comprehensive guide is still in the works. If you want to register as delegate it will need to have 1000 SEMs for registration and 0.005 for network fee.

This will always show you newest blocks first so if you see a smaller block number growing quickly then it's syncing after a reset
Why the explorer re-syncs so often? Again it at block ~ 13,000 and if I want to check block with last airdrop it throws 500 error. The block explorer is quite new and some bugs were found, hence the resync. So far it looks stable now.

What does the rate column under the Delegates tab mean?
This is the rate of the delegate is able to successfully validated a block. Validators take turn in validating blocks and will he rewarded for doing so. If it's your turn to validate but you got offline had wallet issue or other problems which prevent you from validating successfully your turn will be skipped. You will miss a block and your rate will go down. What determines a delegate's likelihood of validating a block? Everyone gets to validate taking turns. Round robin style. my semux balance as not increased since i started as delegate why is it taking that long? Sorry forgot to specify. When I said everyone I mean all the validators. This are the top delegates with V on the delegates list.
