here's a funny thing, i think it may be posted in this thread somewhere. why don't you go look for yourself? I have noticed every few pages or so that a newbie account will copy/paste a comment made earlier by someone else word for word. It has happened many times already in this thread and seemed strange to me.

what was the console command to unlock the wallet. I was using a bat file but the new wallet version does not have SHAcoind included.
walletpassphrase "password" 9999999 true Thanks bud. Wallet is now accepting blocks and the blockchain is matching what I have. I am always nervous minting now because my wallet seems to start finding a lot of blocks quickly. But as stated the blockchain is now keeping up with me. you're the lucky one my wallt is *still* synchronising! i'm up to block 16579 with ~20 restarts on the wallet. dire. For what it is worth. Here is the conf that I am using. listen=1 server=1 daemon=1 maxconnections=100 rpcuser=xxxxx rpcpassword=xxxxxxxxxxx addnode=142.54.179.178 addnode=23.88.228.99 addnode=198.98.120.30

My wallet starts going wackadoodle every time I enable mining. I end up having to delete everything and repairwallet. Then when i think it is all ok I enable mining and it starts finding blocks very fast.

FWIW I checked the txid on my oldest stake on the block explorer and it is there. Here it is so you can check it 4489c407f1e12f2bdb7a120eddf837a383288c1f13d62303fcbd28e8b053815c It was from earlier and only needs 70 more blocks to confirm.
so in 70 blocks, they will dissapeaer from his wallet? We will see I guess. I'm not sure how me sending him coins is tempting fate tho, lol. What is your address. I will send you some. I still only have a few connections. Interested to know if it is working or not. Just got them, I'll either send them back to you or send them to someone on the same block as the block explorer. As I am ahead of the explorer. That is fine.

My wallet is having trouble making any connections. It can only find one.

The chain seems pretty borked. PoS blocks obviously can't be successfully pushed to the network when this happens. When PoS chains go wrong they become their own worst problem. Quite a few old clients on the network still and everyone restarting won't help nodes to find a consensus, if that is even possible. Code needs to be reviewed. Anyway, I've set-up 2 addnodes. addnode=198.100.127.34 addnode=198.100.127.36
... Added. Thanks

so how many gajillion coins do you have to have to get a stake? I'm not gonna blast all four cores mining to MAYBE have it get something every few weeks. I spent a fair amount of electricity to run this failed experiment. If 89k coins is not enough to generate a stake, then what's the point?
You will use hardly any cpu power. I am showing very minimal use in the 0.x% range.

I have mined 165 blocks and counting in just over one hour. Close to 700,000k in my stake. Still more balance left to go. now we know who can control the price. On a side note: In all the commotion I just realized that I have not updated my wallet yet. I just did the repair to the old one and re-synced. I am afraid to touch it now with all the staked coins.

We need the word out quickly on this to let people know that they can get in very cheap and almost be mining from next to no cpu power.
Indeed. If the dev would kindly take his head out of the sand again for a moment that should be added to the OP or something.

I have mined 165 blocks and counting in just over one hour. Close to 700,000k in my stake. Still more balance left to go. First mined block today still has 322 confirmations to go. Yes , it will slow down after first stake stage It has. I also assume that because I transferred two lots of 100,000k to exchanges and then transferred them back after a day or two that would have affected those coins age ?

Hope this shit is working now because my wallet is mining like a madman right now. More than 10 blocks per minute
you ate all the pies. I can only assume that I am getting so many due to my coins age and the amount I have. I had 2 nice fat blocks too. One for over 600 and another for over 400. wait. Is the wallet supposed to be set to mine, or just the wallet unlocked? Set to mine. Encrypted and unlocked. I open my wallet then run a bat file located in the wallet folder. @echo off @echo Enter PPC password... SET /P variable=Password : SHACoind walletpassphrase %variable% 9999999 true Then I put in my password in the window that opens. That then enables mining. I unlocked it from the console rather than the batch method... but do I need to set generate to true also? This is what I have for a shacoin.conf file #SHACoin.conf # JSON-RPC options (for controlling a running ppcoind process)
#Server mode allows Qt to accept JSON-RPC commands server=1
# You must set rpcuser and rpcpassword to secure the JSON-RPC api rpcuser=xxxxx rpcpassword=xxxxxxxx addnode=142.54.179.178 addnode=23.88.228.99 addnode=198.98.120.30
