KnC needs to put up a sign... BUY at your OWN RISK! As refunds may not be turned in the same currency your product was purchased in. Smiley

on that note is it true that the 3rd batch of knc miners (the ones they are selling now) don't have a refund?

somehow i can't seem to get an answer to this (or it is obviouse someplace and i read over it)

thanks
Searing

If every thing goes to plan then I can see them saying no to refunds, but if miners change from physical to virtual or there is a delay in production then they cannot/should not refuse a refund.

I really couldn't care if they say 'no refunds' in the terms, if they can't produce in a timely manner then they have to refund if they like it or not.

I might be delusional but this is how I see it.

Delusional?  What, did you lose too much weight too quickly?  How.  My dreadmill may keep me healthy but doesn't really address the midrift weight of insulin resistance.  Maybe I should get a big blue ball for sitting on at my desk.

what Huh  Undecided

Sorry.  That was my attempt at a light joke.  Saw three photos of Karpeles, overweight on the big blue ball, the photo of him declaring bankruptcy, and a third taken sometime between the two where he seems actually thin.  It would appear he lost a lot of weight quickly then put some back on.  Almost any effective fast weight loss scheme causes insomnia and an extended period of insomnia can cause delusional thinking.

for a minute i thought you were a little delusional... LOL

It's a principle at least as old as Rome in the common law: A unilateral change to a contract is not valid. Unless you're a government, then such things as morality and ethics have no meaning anyway.

Don't sign nothin' without a lawyer vetting it. YOUR lawyer, not KNC's.

There is nothing on KNC that says that they 'don't refund',  or have I missed something

they did have a point in details of first batch that did say they do give refunds,
but removing/deleting this point on other batches doesn't mean that your not entitled to a refund either.  no?

edit.  I never signed or agreed to any ToC's either

Looks like some people are being children again and marking various responses for deletion and asking the moderators to delete them..

This thread for well over 1,400 pages has been mixed topic, KNC abandoned it and doesn't care. It's surprising someone would bother moderating the topic, or that people here still don't like the truth and ask for certain posts to be removed.

I'd ask for KNC to provide us updates but, I don't think many folks here care that much anymore (I don't), and we know KNC won't provide them anyhow.

i amazes me how someone would waste the time to complain to moderate posts rather than just scrolling past a post or 2.

 Huh Huh Huh Huh
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 25, 2014, 09:43:03 AM
KNC would now be saying to themselves why oh why didn't we just sell all these jupiters to our loyal customers and make an extra 50 million dollars instantly.

now they are going to left with a multi million dollar mining farm and with tens of thousands BTC already mined in their wallets which could be potentially be worthless.

I love to be a fly on the wall in KNC's office right about now.

it's going to be an interesting 2 to 4 weeks coming.   Shocked
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 25, 2014, 02:52:13 AM
Bitstamp price has hit $500

at this rate we'd be able to buy 20+ BTC for a Neptune refund

KNC better start production soon and think about giving us a definitive date of delivery.

link to KNC wallet. http://beta.kncwallet.com/

I think they are trying to compete with their friend Josh at BFL and their wallet idea.

just noticed they also have this URL: http://www.kncwallet.com/

I have a question. Would people be interested in some of the 1th/s units they are 28nm 1000W and would cost roughly $5500 i haven't yet decided if we will offer gh shares or actual units or possibly both.

I'm interested, for BTC only.

any idea when they'd be available / delivered?

BTW, I'm located in Australia/Melbourne
193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: February 23, 2014, 01:36:36 AM
Well it can reach even more after we hit 21M limit. Maybe it won't be 5 digit number, but 4 will reach easily i think.

you do realize you'll be dead when it reaches 21M (126 years away), and 4 digit figure wouldn't even buy a loaf of bread.

edit.  it's actually 135.5 years away, I think
194  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Bi•Fury | 5 GH/s USB Miner [IN STOCK!] {NEW YEAR SALE !} on: February 22, 2014, 03:12:04 PM
Hello guys,

I need your help. Three days ago I have bought Bi fury 5GH, but I have some issues. My computer (win7) cant recognize it in USB 3.0, it can recognize as Unknown Device. I tried install many recommened drivers but nothing helped. My computer can easly recognize Bi fury in USB 2. Do you think that another FIRMWARE is needed?

Thank you for your help.

just install drivers while it's plugged to usb 2.0 port, then switch to 3.0 port, drivers should be loaded already

I did it but USB3.0 says Unknown Device and if i plug it back to USB2.0 it can recognize as Bi fury.
But i have another problem.
Even if it is plugged to USB 2... cgminer, sgminer, bfgminer still crashed after start... after start bat file it just appeard for a sec terminal.. Do you know how to fix it? i am trying two days fix it...
when i turn on cgminer and then plug bifury i got this error
https://imagize[Suspicious link removed]ageshack.us/v2/647x496q90/62/wo82.jpg

are you using usb port on computer or usb powered hub?
do you have fan to cool it down?
have you used 'zadig.exe' to load 'winUSB' driver?
are you plugging in after starting cgminer?

I am using usb extender, but i tried it in usb2 and usb 3 too, so i dont know if it is a problem using it through extender.
I have Artic breeze fan.
I reinstal driver with zadig
It doesnt matter if i plug it after or before.... but in beginning it didnt say that there is some error just it has 0 hash speed
There are some photos...

it should work, it seems you've done everything correct.

have you tried it without the usb extender?

Merv leave the current text in there because LAN covers for your local connections.  I do not know how to setup that to accept external IPs.  Unless you had a VPN setup then you wouldn't have to worry since it will be inside and on your local network.

thanks Powell

but what about the 5 to 7 words part?  or do they mean 5 to 7 letters?

and will this change the 'root' user login name when SSHing into miner?
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 22, 2014, 05:46:41 AM
Jupiter initial setup page with new firmware

could someone explain what is meant by 'use personal sentence of 5 to 7 english words'

'Admin Account' <-- is this the login user name?  does it really have to be 5 to 7 words? and will this also change SSH login user name?

'Management network' field, is this where you add your remote LAN IP address that will be allowed access to miner?  or do you leave it as 'LAN RFC1918'?

I need this clarified before I stuff it up, thanks in advance.
my apologies if it's been answered before

198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks have no deposit atms, we do on: February 20, 2014, 05:46:35 AM
Here in the US most ATM's accept cash and check deposits.

The ATM's automatically count the cash and it's available in your account balance instantly without any holds...

I don't believe it

in Australia yesterday one of our main banks got rid of all human tellers (in one branch) and they were replace with new ATMs that count all denominations of cash notes and coins and also you can withdraw all denominations coins included.  They also have video conference support.

....And 'Old Dominiom' was Alex'wantedtobeandgotpwndbyswedes'orama....

he had to get that shit off his birdchest....the gimp!

I vaguely remember that long post. Was it "Old dominion" rather? Right now search does not show anything on "old dominion" or even "old domimiom" (misspelled)

"The Old Dominion" is a nickname for my original home state before I moved to the west coast, that's it. I'm not really sure why you think what I wrote is something that Bitcoinorama would've wanted to get off his chest, since nothing in there is an attempt to justify KNC's less than optimal communications strategy, which was supposed to be his job near as I could ever tell. I haven't seen anything to change what I said though: this thread is still a lot of speculation being treated as fact, and not very much more.

I still think that as long as KNC ships out a box that produces around 3Th/s in performance, I will be able to run it for as long as I like and then sell it for enough that I'll make a net profit, so I don't have anything to complain about, and I have no idea why people feel compelled to keep banging on about whatever complaint they have based on promises KNC never made. Do they not have anything else to do?  I think the most annoying are the constant statements that "I won't buy anything from KNC again."  Ok, fair enough.  It sounds like you've made your decision, so please go clutter up some other thread so I don't have to wade through 3-5 pages of crap each day to see if there is anything of actual value in here. I ponied up ten grand and change, granted it was all monopoly money since it came from my Jupiter mining, but I do want to pay attention. If you didn't, or you decided to get a refund and bail out, it's time to let go and stop telling us about it here ad nauseam so I can have my 5 to 10 minutes a day of scrolling through meaningless posts.

don't you feel guilty when selling your miner for a profit knowing they'll never make their monopoly money back?
You think KNC are playing with monopoly money?

paid in btc - refunded in fiat today (refund requested 2nd february)

immediately wrote back to 'kurt'

i received 5,941.78 GBP today which equals 9,896.52 US Dollar

As you will be aware, i paid 10,253 USD to you on the 23rd of Dec.

Can you explain where 356.48 USD / 213.54 GBP has gone??

and more importantly can you see a way to rectify this discrepancy?

Sincerely

....And 'Old Dominiom' was Alex'wantedtobeandgotpwndbyswedes'orama....

he had to get that shit off his birdchest....the gimp!

I thought the exact same thing when I read that long boring post... it was either Orama or someone else that worked for KNC

let us know what KNC do about your skimmed refund?

what about others that got fiat refund, were you ripped off also?

KNC are probably skimming 2% to 3% from all refunds which could equate to over a million dollars stolen. thinking that no one will notice.
