Hi everyone,

I've been lying low for while plus been busy with normal work etc, etc.
I see that nothing has changed here and KNC seem to be getting worse with their customer relations.  Oh well what else is new...

Why I'm here is because I did receive tacking number for my Titan and UPS have called me to pay for customs, taxes and fees which amounts to a wopping $1320

Now what I'm thinking is if I ask KNC to re-invoice me for the Titan to a lower amount so I can reduce the Tax that I have to pay.

What do you guys think?  You think KNC would comply and help me out?

I think this would be fair especially because the value of a 400MH/s Titan is now $6995 which works out to appoximately $17.49 per MH/s
So for a 300MH/s Titan 300 x 17.49 = $5247 which would reduce the Customs tax bill by a few hundred dollars

Am I making sense, you think KNC would do this?

Cheers
merv

What is your approximate order number?

my order number: 1930X, paid on 19th March

I have tracking number but hasn't arrived as yet, it will probably be next week.

That would be illegal of them to do, but if they do please send me a copy of the invoice  Grin
(I would love to use this against KnC Group AB in court)

other companies I've bought from have lowered the value, Spondoolies did, pcfli with the Dragon miners did

gee I'm not asking to put a ridiculously low value, just a realistic value.
to put this another way, what would a 300MH/s Titan be worth now.  How much do you think you'd get on eBay for one?

Anyway I'm going to send KNC an email and see what they reply if they reply at all.

Thanks guys for the replies

Hi Marco,

what do you mean with the minimum power consumption at 50kW?
does this mean you'll only consider customers using 50kW and above?

if yes, why not cater for smaller mining operations like a couple SP30's etc..

This group buy of 1petaHash will raise diff by 5%. Crazy that a petahash is such a small percentage now...

isn't the hash rate over 100 PH/s, so 1 PH/s wouldn't even raise it by 1%

I suppose 24 chips down? that's ~4% down on hash rate.

why do say 24 chips down?  isn't it 8 of 192 Hammer ASIC chips off/down?
ASIC chips no. 24 to 31 are down.

BTW, what are you running your fan speed at?
are you running 'turbo mode'?
have you tried tweaking it to get more out of it?

is this normal or it needs fixing?

I have 1 of my SP10's with 1 asic showing |xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx| permanently from day I received it, not worried thou as it seems to be hashing just fine.

I now have 5 boxes running, but 3 boxes have 2 DC/DC's not working   Angry

They show: DC0 =  0.0035V 0.0000A 0.0000W  25C

Does anyone know the procedure to kick them ?

did you say you're using 1600W LEPA PSU, was that 1 or 2 of them?

if you're using 1 only, then you're Neptune is probably starving for more power.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 20, 2014, 12:24:18 PM
I have it running now (I guess I'm the first...)

It does: about 3.3 Th  and 1950W at the wall (the internal ASIC-monitor gives about 1440W...I have no idea where the difference is going to).
The chip is running on 475 Mhz (and can be set to 500 {not tried yet}).

There is one new thing on the controller-board: on plug-6 there is a small display-board which gives info about the IP-address and Hash-speed (very nice)... but this means as well that 5 boxes is the maximum.

The one PCE-power plug isn't running hot {the fan is indeed pressing air through the hole}, but the cables are 44 degrees Celsius.

Wait! What? You actually have a Neptune in-hand? Fuck yes, you're the first!

that's what I want to know also...  didn't Phoenix have the earliest order number?
how about a photo?

Photo later..... too busy testing and configuring every thing.

how long ago did you post that you received your tracking number?
how long did it take for delivery from receiving tracking number and actually getting the Neptune?
did you have to pay VAT/tax? if so, how much?
