181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle emotions when you lose during trading. on: April 04, 2024, 09:58:47 PM
Just don't over-trade. Like you said, that's the most important part. Successful traders do their trades monthly. Sometimes even yearly. 4-5 trades/year is more than enough if you want to make money from trading. If you are doing 10 trades every day, you are probably addicted to gambling and you are probably losing money. Always trade a portion of your portfolio and keep a huge hodl stash and keep them in a cold wallet. I am hearing some bad news on exchanges locking people from their accounts randomly. You don't wanna end up like this trust me. Especially binance don't give a shit. They can keep your acc locked for months without giving out any information on what's going on.
Lack of emotional control makes you more prone to overtrading. So as much as possible, learn to handle your emotions first so you won’t push yourself into overtrading. And at the same time, don’t trade using leverage, it will only heighten the risk to lose, most especially if you are still new in the trading market.

Trading is a risky and dangerous thing. This is why people should not rush into trading if they are not knowledgeable and skilled enough, otherwise they will only trade in search for quick profits, when in reality trading does not magic like that, as it should be dealt seriously and skillfully.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone here ever visited El Salvador and tried paying with bitcoin there? on: April 04, 2024, 08:33:11 PM
~
I've not traveled to El Salvador and I don't wish to visit anytime soon but if I wanted to travel to a bitcoin friendly nation, El Salvador would be the least of the countries on my list. The difference between El Salvador and other Bitcoin friendly countries is that Bitcoin is recognized as legal tender, aside that the adoption rate is still at infancy. From what I've been reading, a vast majority of the locals still prefer US dollars as a medium of exchange for their businesses.
Right now, I still have no plans to spend my earned bitcoin since I’m still in the process of accumulation stage, so I have no plans also to explore El Salvador as I’ll only be tempted to spend some of my hard-earned bitcoin. But maybe probably in the future, I will as I also include El Salvador in my bucket list so I can exactly tell how bitcoin adoption went there. And maybe by that time, the crime rate would also lessen as well, unlike now that it’s still somehow not totally safe at all.
183  Economy / Gambling / Re: My experience on live bet on: April 04, 2024, 02:33:44 PM
Seeing that the OP has been on the forum but hasn't come back through the thread to comment on any of the issues we have raised, I'd bet he's already gone back to play what he won and lost it.

OP had already received a lot of comments regarding his post and had probably understood that there's nothing wrong with the amount the site has offered to him. The amount is small but probably still relevant to him, and I think it's not the amount (whether small or big) we are talking here but it's our expectation regarding as to how much could a sportsbook give us if we cash out.

Quote
Being the first time and having won a total of $1.2, that would be most likely.
And even thought of cash out... I wouldn't if it's in my case, but it's him and that amount is significant for him.
184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This bitcoin bull market isn't over yet ! on: April 03, 2024, 11:59:58 PM
Yes, bitcoin bullish market is not over yet. In fact, we are still starting to see what a bullish market looks like, most particularly for those who are new in the market. And because of that, everyone is expecting bitcoin to reach a significant price despite of its price correction that is still happening as of now. But we all know price correction don’t last, and it’s only here temporarily as it’s also part of a crypto market. However, the most important thing is we have upcoming bitcoin halving and bull run which both promote positive scenario for bitcoin. So let’s root for it.
185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: April 03, 2024, 11:31:12 PM
There are those types of investors that are looking into quantity and not quality because that's their principle and strategy on this market.

To me, that's fine because it is their money and whatever works for them should be done by them because they believe that works.

But based on my experience and what I have seen with many folks, it doesn't really work like magic because the more you invest in various altcoins, the more complicated your portfolio becomes.
You're right indeed. Your money, your rules, so you can chose to invest on your own. However, trying to invest in a variety of altcoins will never guarantee multi profits. Instead, it will only make you more susceptible to losses most especially if you ended up investing in the wrong coins. The risk to lose is certainly high, once you entrusted your funds more into altcoins than bitcoin.
Exactly. Don’t fall for altcoins most particularly when there is bull run as you are increasing your risk to lose from buying them at a high price, as there are no guarantees that they will continue to gain higher price but may suddenly dropping their prices anytime. Instead, stick to bitcoin.

However, if you are interested to buy altcoins, buy when the market is bearish at a minimal amount. That way, even if you lose in the future, at least you only lose few of your funds, so that won’t be a big deal for you.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be looking only at the brighter side on: April 03, 2024, 10:49:53 PM
Being a Bitcoin investor or a holder comes without it's own ups and downs that makes us want to sell off all of it without looking back, but know one thing,  their is actually a light, at the end of the tunnel, we should not be looking at the higher transaction fees, the network congestion, the complications and effort needed to hold perfectly without you selling due to financial pressure, the negativity and speculation around it by hater, the stress and measures put in place to secure it well from scammers,  but as a true Bitcoineers, we should only be look at the brighter and the bigger picture of how much you stand to gain, if you keeps on holding, look only at the brighter side of it, because that's what going to motivate you when you feel tired, cheer to all Bitcoineer🍷🥂🥂

I wouldn't blame those selling due to financial pressure. I think comparing that with other reasons for selling like negativity towards Bitcoin coming from others or your disbelief if its future is wrong. Being very optimistic about Bitcoin's future I myself was selling it many times in the past at pretty low price exactly because of the financial pressure at the moment.
Financial pressures is certainly common for everyone, and if we decide selling at that times, then at least our investment has probably serve its purpose. Remember that we are not just investing merely to buy and hold, we also buy bitcoin at it cheap price so we can sell it quite a decent amount when financial pressures suddenly strikes. Hence, it can also serve as our emergency funds, that we can get something out from it in times of money troubles.
187  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: April 03, 2024, 01:55:02 PM
even those licensed casino , all we need is trust because we are entrusting our details to them.

Definitely, but not every license casino can be trusted.

You know what, the game in the gambling industry is not about license only. The most important thing to consider is its reputation and license is just to solidify it. Now, let me ask you, would you play to a casino that only have a license but its reputation is not yet refine, or play with a casino with good reputation but does not acquire a license yet?

Me personallly I would not choose between the two as I believe that both factors are very important for a casino to gain trust from gamblers.

Basis formula it is when finding a good casino ... reputation + license... without those two, skip it or you'll regret later.
188  Economy / Gambling / Re: DoCryptoBet.com | Welcome bonus 100% | High Betting Odds on: April 03, 2024, 01:06:03 PM
Looking at post about your site being accused as a fake one, I think that needs to be taken care of first.

Address it immediately and come back here with clear explanation and supporting documents or anything that could help convince a big community like bitcointalk. I like to say I'm impressed as I visite the site, but like stated, I don't like to take risk on a site that is accused of using a fake license. Anyway, good luck and hope you'll not miss an opportunity this community could give to your company.
189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Achieving a goal on: April 02, 2024, 11:38:16 PM
-snip-
No one knows that's the point. When investing in Bitcoin or any volatile asset, one should understand that there is no guarantee that they are going to get a certain percentage in returns after a specific period because the price is unstable and unpredictable, it's priced above $70k today, ...-snip-
Guarantee or certainty does not know, but with price volatility there is its own pleasure and for me about price volatility that is the pleasure if the investment is carried out in the long run.
Gold investment volatility may be low, but in expecting price returns are very slow. Bitcoin with high price volatility, although it cannot guarantee, has proven to be faster and greater than gold investment or other stable investment.
Volatility is what brings thrill and excitement to every trader. However, no one can exactly tell if your goal price will be achievable within this year as I find it hard really to achieve such high price. But still patience is they key. Who knows if bitcoin price will suddenly jump again twice than the current capital, then it will be easier to reach $200k already at the end of the year. Just hold tight on your coins particularly if market correction sudden occurs.
190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: April 02, 2024, 10:57:52 PM
Trading will never make you instantly rich, so you don’t have to jump into trading and think immediately about making profits. Majority of novice traders trade not because they want to learn trading, but because they want to satisfy their greed for profits, that’s why we’ve been seeing them trading even when the market is not suitable to trade. The reminder to trade only when you are ready and when the market only favors your trade is never new to us. But it seems it’s only easy to say but hard to do for novice trades.
Newbies traders are too self-absorbed to care about anything else but their own desires, and honestly believe that just because they want to make money the markets must accommodate them, a mistaken notion but one that is very common among those newbie traders, and once they predictably fail, they begin to make all kind of outrageous claims about the whole market of cryptocurrencies being a scam, when it was their own choices what caused them those terrible losses.
This the reason why newbie traders are not advisable to engage in trading activity. They are only seeing trading as a get rich quick scheme, and that’s the worst expectation from trading. While others continue to create successful trades from their trading activities, that’s because they have been losing too much from the start that they end up learning from all their mistakes that made them wiser and smarter as traders.
191  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies take bitcoin as long term Choice to get the best out of bitcoin on: April 01, 2024, 11:58:55 PM
They should remove that thinking because reaching to that point will also depend on what kind of effort they do and also the amount of capital they start with. What I am disappointed with most of the newbies is that they always complain about being too late in buying BTC and that's why they choose memecoins and other altcoins instead. That's the disadvantage they always point out but if they're serious with it, they will buy it without any complain and I agree that it should be for the long term. They won't feel the essence of holding Bitcoin in the short term when they have bought it also at the peak. But if they will plan out their purchases and DCA, they'd see the huge difference of it that they'd be happy that it is their choice instead of altcoins.
It's clear that they don't make sufficient research with bitcoin if they think that they're actually late to enter bitcoin investment. The truth is, bitcoin is everyday a good buy as long as your goal is to hold it as a long term investment. But if your goal is to hold it for short term so you can make quick profits, you are doing the wrong thing. Bitcoin is even more risky if you invest in it for short term, that's why a lot of us here always manage to make bitcoin as a long term investment.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If everyone is holding their bitcoin, will there be a balance? on: April 01, 2024, 11:24:25 PM
I have read several posts encouraging people to hold their bitcoin for the greater good of bitcoin and probably more reward in the future. I have also been able to buy some for myself and also holding. But there is this concern that usually pop up in my head anytime I am meditating and that is what will happen if everyone is holding their bitcoin and no one is willing to sell. This can possibly happen in the future when mining reward becomes too small. I know some people will say that miners will continue to mine and sell to sustain their business but when there is reduced selling, will mining still be a profitable business?

Without buying and selling of bitcoin, the price will not be changing. because what make the price of Bitcoin to be changing is the sellers, when the demand is high the price will get high because people who need it are more than people that are going sell. so, you will see that they will be the one to change the price of Bitcoin and this is why the price get high you know nobody will sell at lost and since people need it, they will make the price to go higher so that they can get much profit when they sell.

However, it will be very hard to see people who don't want to sell their Bitcoin, everybody will sell their investment because that is the main thing why they invest. but if we say we are using bitcoin as the main reason why it was created, I will say the price may stay the way it is, since people will not be selling or buying. we will just be using it as a means of making payment whenever we purchase something from stores, and you know that is why the currency was design from the first place. So, the thing is that everybody will sell their investment nobody will hodl and don't want to sell.
Obviously, the price of bitcoin greatly depends on its law of supply and demand. When the demand is high, the price will eventually increase, thus leaving the supply low and limited. But if it's done the opposite way, the price will definitely decrease while leaving the supply high.

However, it's certain that people in the bitcoin community will buy and sell when the time is right. Hodling is good and brings also profits, but people won't be satisfied just by hodling alone, they need to sell their coins in order to gain and enjoy their real profits.
193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on the market right now? on: March 31, 2024, 11:50:46 PM
I want to stock up on alts for the spot now. What do you think, should I buy now or should I wait?
Better secure your funds into Bitcoin rather than looking for altcoins. Yes, of course, some altcoins are profitable but the idea of having them now is not a good decision. Why? Just take a look at the current market condition, we are in a bullish state and we know that altcoins never stand high long but sudden and massive drops are very possible.

If I were you, don't force yourselves into buying altcoins. Don't chase on x1000, there is no assurance for that. Better to wait until the market turns bearish again rather than choose to risk your money. Or, consider Bitcoin over these altcoins.
Altcoins are only good to buy when they are at their cheapest price, no matter how high their potentials are. That is because altcoins do not guarantee that their prices will continue to appreciate, unlike bitcoin does. So I  suggest it’s better to wait for the bearish market to take over the bullish market, that way you would not spend too much on altcoins that have no clearer future profitability. And do invest at your own risk, most particularly for altcoins where losing is predicted already.
194  Economy / Gambling / Re: Buidling a New Crash Game with Community Experience on: March 31, 2024, 09:53:58 PM
About the house edge will be %1. I know I have to provide different things to users. If I won't do that, people probably prefer to Bustabit.
I don't think that house edge is the problem. There have been many casinos with almost 0% house edge but no one has succeeded over the ones that have 1% or higher house edge. It's also super easy for bustabit to change their house edge and make it match yours, so it's not a big deal. I think that you have to offer something unique and different, something that will be hard for bustabit to change and will require lots of hard work from them. To my mind, a crash game with one of the best UI/UX and animation effects with some new unique features will be the key for your success.
Remember, it's easy to copy UI but it takes hard work and dedication to copy features. From the rest of your post, it feels like you are on a right track.
True, 1% is just reasonable, new comers doesn't have to play with the house edge since the bigger casinos could adjust easily. More unique approach especially in the marketing side and that includes promotions already would be more suitable for new casinos. @OP figure it out, you are entering in a competitive market, I'm sure you already have good strategy in line to reach out your potential gamblers..

you don't only focus on the casino's design (UI), house edge or anything related as there's more to it, these are just basic but the most challenging part is how to introduce your casino so you'll get their attention and would try to experience the new crash game you are making.

Just try to observe what other casinos are doing to be popular in the forum, for sure you can get an idea.
195  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: March 31, 2024, 09:08:35 PM
Not only lots of time but also some players leave very far on the location of the casino especially province area like me that will takes 4hrs to 6hrs ride depending on the traffic just to play in the casino although some casino provides shuttle service fin the province but still it’s time consuming and waste of energy just to play offline casino while you can play it comfortably in your house.

Not to mention that offline casino slot games have lower RTP and they don’t have rakebacks or any form of bonuses unless you are a VIP member which in online casino you can be a VIP instantly when you register and receive multiple bonus on your first game. The online casino makes everything easier and feels like VIP players that you can’t experience playing offline based on my own experience when I visit Okada manila here in our country.
Online casinos are slowly displacing offline casinos on the preference of the average gambler, as the features they offer, the simplicity to open and fund your account and the ease of access are making it an option that is many times more attractive than offline casinos.

Since even if I can recognize that offline casinos have a few aspects that cannot be replicated by online casinos, at the same time online casinos are too convenient, and I would think that as time goes by the gap between the two will disappear, and online gambling will become the most common way in which people gamble around the world.

With the world that is moving online now, eventually in the future more people will be focus on online gambling but you can't compare the experience when you are gambling to a physical casino becasue you'll certainly have the best experience if you came to enjoy. Let's use Vegas for example, personally, I haven't been there and it was my ultimate to be their but I would not compare the online gambling experience than going to vegas as it's not only gambling that we can do in Vegas, a lot of things like getting drunk and other fun stuff, you can't do that with online gambling, unless you enjoy being alone doing those things which not my cup of tea.

The experience is really different for playing on offline casino since this is more addictive and people going on that places find hard to resist some temptation on that places since the atmosphere is the one can make people engage on some games you can enjoy there. Online casino is just making the life of gambling enthusiast to have accessibility to play the games the like at home and also they can easily access it anywhere they want but sometimes for sure we get bored especially if we got used to the games we usually play. That's why I always choose physical casino if we talk about nice experience since we can enjoy each game we choose to play their. But for now since I don't have much time to go on that places that's why online casino is really the best solution to eliminate our boring down time  and we have something to enjoy for short period of time.

Let's not talk much about "addiction" in comparing the two. Gambling is fun, you just choose which is more fun to you, going in an actual casino or just play it online. Because addiction could happen anytime and at any venue, that's up to us on how we control ourselves. Being responsible is very important in order to have fun in gambling, otherwise, we are just throwing money but not really getting the reason why we are gambling.

Duelbits has been one of my favorite sports betting venue online, I'm happy using the site but I always aim to experience better entertainment like going to vegas which I'm sure does require me a lot of money to have fun, so at the moment, I'll stick with this casino I am still getting what I want.

If you win some money, they can make up the excuse that you use a VPN, they must say that VPN is supported or not, if they say nothing about VPN, do not use VPN, they will use that against you when you win.

What would be the cause for your funds to be frozen? Just because you use a VPN they'll easily freeze an account? I think that is not a just practice of a casino, they have to ensure that there are TOS to be in place and being followed, if VPN is not mentioned in the TOS, then you'll not violate anything if you are using a VPN, unless if they decide to scam which any argument will not work anymore.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 30, 2024, 10:18:42 PM
Dejounte Murray played a great game and was the game winner. The Atlanta Hawks surprised again and won the game in overtime.
As I said, it was a difficult game to predict, many people who bet on this game may have lost because of this game.

Dejounte Murray played well, he set a career high, but he scored 44 points on 44 shots. He used the ball a lot, so that kind of overshadows the scoring record a little bit. But no matter what, he deserves credit for a great overtime performance and a game winner from long 2. While Trae Young is out, it was to be expected that he would use the ball more, and he made the most of it. Also don't forget Bogdanovic and Hunter, who both scored 45 points total.
Hawks needed that win. They still have a chance to finish 9th. Although it's hard to say who would be a better opponent for them in first play-in round.

They can try again today against the number 2 team in the East.

I think if Bogdanovic shooting is on point again, they have a chance to beat the Bucks. Murray can't score the same number of bigger because he is now a mark man, plus how can they limit Giannis whom for sure will use his dominance inside. What bugged me was the point spread difference because against the Celtics they were +14.5 while only +4.5 now... Does it mean that bookies are not anymore underestimating them or just the Bucks not as good as the Celtics or even close?

Anyway, we will find out few hours from now but I'm keeping an eye on the Hawks, if they still play the same intensity they showed vs the Celtics, then I guess I might be tempted to put a bet on them to win straight up.
199  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: March 30, 2024, 09:37:47 PM
IMO, it's time to change our belief that bitcoin is not money because it is, we are not in the early stage where we still doubt the future of bitcoin, now it seems like the world already know it and thanks to regulation as it strenghten its value.
We are not the ones who decide if bitcoin is money or not, governments are the ones who make that decision, just look at El Salvador, for them bitcoin is money, but for most of the countries bitcoin is just a digital asset. And that's the problem how can you regulate casinos where the users don't bet money?

Some countries might not adopt yet but big countries are already considering or have considered bitcoin as money, or not yet totally but widespread adoption will make it as money.

As definition on money.

Quote
Money is any object that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a given country or socio-economic context. The main functions of money are distinguished as: a medium of exchange; a unit of account; a store of value; and, occasionally, a standard of deferred payment.

Right now it's not yet generally accepted, but like I mentioned, onces widespread adoption happen which is only possible with the help of the government, it will become money that we can use to pay for products and services, well gambling belonged to the services I guess.

The government has to regulate a casino because even if bitcoin is use or any other currency, but no one had inquire that by not using money. You need money (dollar for ex) to buy bitcoin, and then you can use bitcoin to gamble, when you win, you'll exchange it to money to enjoy it, in this case bitcoin act just like a payment system or sort but at the end of the day, the beginning and end of transaction always falls to money.

If I didn't convert what the cash out amount in the OP I wouldn't know that it's only $1.25...

Let's not focus on the amount, instead focus on the feature.

Well, cash out option has been there already, but it may differ from sportsbook to sportsbook, so you can't question the casino if the amount in the cash out is lower than you expected. What you have to do is just don't mind it or mind it... cash out if you are not sure with your bet, but if you are confident you'll win, you'll let the games to be over and see what happen. You know, the best feeling in gambling is when you are brave enough to accept whatever will happen and cash out option is not for the brave ones.
