I collected a wallet from your sources on GitHub.
Especially for so many years, I have never seen viruses for Rapsberry or any bad programs ...

No problem, I am not accusing you of anything. But there is still a theoretical possibility of malicious intents here, so people need to be warned. Generally it would be more helpful for everyone if you would work together with the Espers team instead of releasing downloads on your own. Because then they can verify your work and make an official release from it!  Smiley

It will be necessary to ask friends if they can do this. Guys really want to see the movement forward. If I understand correctly, will there be any payment for creating a wallet or will they be accepted into the team?

Everybody of us is the "team", there are no special privileges tied to that. So of course if your friends want to be part of the active community then they are free to offer binaries to other users here.

Everybody please be careful with downloading binaries from random people, the only official binaries are released by the team and will be downloadable from the website https://espers.io.

@Andrey123 Thanks for your work, if you want to contribute to the project please compare the steps you did with the official tutorial here:

why there is no trade on livecoin ?
the only marketplace to  CoinExchange ?

What happened?

There were MULTIPLE exchanges that ESP was traded on, and now CoinMarketCap is only showing 1 exchange for Espers: CoinExchange.io

What is going on? Is ESP getting removed from these exchanges?

Espers used to be on many more exchanges, like Livecoin and TradeSatoshi, but now is only listed on 1 exchange.

What's the point of the Espers Team doing so much work, if they are removing it from all of the exchanges?

Can someone please ask the ESP Team why they have removed ESP from all of the exchanges except 1? Do they want no one to buy ESP anymore, or are they just shutting down?

What a waste of time and effort, I thought ESP was going to be a great project, now it is only listed on 1 exchange.

Please list it on the other exchanges like it was before!!!!!!

Coinmarketcap has a new policy of removing exchanges from the list that have a low volume. You can still trade ESP on all those exchanges you named. You can find the official list of exchanges here: https://espers.io/buy-espers.php

Hope that helps!  Wink
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Wisp [WISP] - Anonymous cryptocurrency project - Spectrecoin fork on: October 05, 2018, 05:18:43 PM
Why can't you just get someone to build a wallet, like an .exe so more people can use it. Is it not a bit elitist when you have to be able to compile to take part in Wisp?

It's not intentional bud.  Wink  I am using Linux and tried cross-compiling the wallet but failed due to missing dependencies for the cross-compiler. The wallet has a lot of dependencies. Using a VM would work but then again I have no experience at all with Windows and the build requirements so it would be a bit doubtful. JBG has had enough of cryptocurrencies so far after he was harassed so intensely for his work and the delays. DrStrife said he could make binaries but stopped replying for now. Otherwise I'm not aware of any community member who would be able to build Windows or Mac binaries. If you know someone, please send him our way.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SPECTRECOIN | Anonymous Tx | Tor | Ring Signatures | Stealth on: October 05, 2018, 10:16:28 AM
Hi, I would like to ask a question: Have you guys checked whether Spectre is affected by the recent Bitcoin vulnerabilities? (CVE-2018-17144) Would be cool to have a statement on this.

Also what is the current development focused on? Have you achieved some minor milestones during the past ~1 month? Any other interesting things that happened? I think as an ICO member I should have a right to get some minimal information about what is happening, and other people in this forum might be interested in that as well.  Wink

Is there a way to get notified of new "newsletters" / blog posts except via Twitter? Same for new wallet releases, is there a way to get notified or will all minor versions be announced here? I used to get this information via Discord but after being banned from your server despite always supporting the project, it would be helpful to have an alternative information distribution channel.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Wisp [WISP] - Anonymous cryptocurrency project - Spectrecoin fork on: October 04, 2018, 03:46:12 PM
Kinda feel bad for the Gandalf.Dude is trying his best to keep this going and is active as much can one be and still thinks he will get some work done from jbg and other members. people are gone with the wind as everyone expected.no one is taking this project serious so its gonna die with time.sorry gandalf hope you comeback to xspec team

I would be happy to participate in the XSPEC community, but Mandica and their team banned me from Discord for notifying Cryptopia about Wisp.  Roll Eyes  It's a ridiculous reason of course but I guess the actual reason is that they feel like I would be disrupting their flow when being on their Discord. It's ok for me, they should do whatever is best for Spectrecoin.

Also don't be so pessimistic, we still have millions of stake weight here (people staking Wisp) and we don't even have released binaries yet. This split off of Spectrecoin is still in a very early phase, people will get more interested as we progress slowly (binaries, block explorer, exchanges etc). Patience is not a very common trait among investors, people come and go, it's pretty normal. You should only start judging a project after nothing happened for multiple years. Mind you that the fork happened only 1.5 months ago!  Wink

Here is a little teaser for the new upcoming wallet, based on Bitcoin 0.16.3.  Smiley

In the meanwhile you can download the old wallet from here:

If you are a miner, the difficulty is pretty low right now so it's a good chance to mine some coins before difficulty rises again.  Wink
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - TIT community self defense on: October 02, 2018, 10:42:35 PM
Hello party people,

the new wallet based on the most recent Bitcoin codebase (0.16.3) is 50% done. Just need to insert some nice graphics, set up Gitian and do lots of testing to ensure full compatibility with the existing Titcoin network. Give me ~2 more weeks for this. The new client will give us:

  • Modern design
  • Better robustness
  • Better network stability and security improvements
  • Option to upgrade to recent Bitcoin improvements like SegWit in the future
  • Can be compiled on recent Linux operating systems since it uses up to date library versions. So pool operators, miners, exchanges etc. will have a much easier time setting up their infrastructure for Titcoin!

I am still rebasing some commits, so you can't watch the progress on Github just yet. But it will be released on Github when it's ready!  Smiley
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - TIT community self defense on: October 02, 2018, 09:40:42 AM
I just want to say this is a great project iam so glad to be helping out on this whatever I can.

I started to mine this coin again too Smiley

Thanks bud! The chain is running again.  Cool

8.625 I wish.   Might be something wrong with TheCoin.pw thing  cause its taking like 6 hours to find coins    HMMM

Hmm, thanks for reporting. Does someone know how to get in contact with the owner of that pool?
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - TIT community self defense on: October 01, 2018, 02:14:48 PM
Titcoin hashing power is at an all time low right now. You can get 8.625 TIT per minute!  Wink  This coin is extremely undervalued these days. Unfortunately a stale chain makes testing the new wallet harder, so please help by running a Titcoin miner!

Thanks to you for your great work!

Thanks for your encouraging words mate, I am very excited about the future of this coin!  Smiley
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Wisp [WISP] - Anonymous cryptocurrency project - Spectrecoin fork on: October 01, 2018, 07:49:43 AM
When there is a fork even if it brings improvement, then still the number of users does not grow.
Just because none of the newcomers is entering the project. It is very important to run the bounty as well as the exchange to buy there project tokens. For example, I want to buy a little but it's not clear where and how to do it. So if I do not understand, I probably just pass by. I really like the project and im want you to do it perfectly all guys.

Thanks bud, I am taking your suggestions seriously. Right now we will first try to have some binaries released, and then we'll look into further opportunities to get on exchanges or start some marketing efforts. After all, the most important aspect of a coin is how it is being USED for actual payments.

If I have a Spectrecoin, can I get WISP?
And is there a protection against re-spending coins in different chains?

If you had Spectrecoin in your wallet before the fork, you can import your wallet.dat into the Wisp wallet and will have access to your coins. Otherwise you will have to buy it from someone else. There is a protection which was implemented by the Spectrecoin developers, yes.

See also https://github.com/wispproject/doc/wiki/FAQ

So basically only the holders of Spectrecoin will get Wisp because of the fork.
And probably the size of the community of Wisp won't be larger of the Spectrecoin one.
Devs won't do much to develope the coin - they have declared.

Not quite correct, you can still buy Wisp from exchanges (in the future) or from other people, so everybody can get Wisp. Regarding development, see the "Roadmap" section in the ANN. We just don't have that many resources at the moment, but it might change in the future.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Wisp [WISP] - Anonymous cryptocurrency project - Spectrecoin fork on: September 29, 2018, 07:11:50 AM
What is premine Amount ? Is there any Airdrop / Bounty ? How to get WISP ?

1. There is no premine, Wisp is a fork of Spectrecoin which has existed since 2016.
2. There is no airdrop or bounty at the moment.
3. Currently only by buying it from individual members of our community. As soon as we are listed on Bisq or some other exchange, you will be able to buy coins there. If you are interested in buying coins please come to our Discord and ask about it. Maybe we will make a dedicated Discord channel or Bitcointalk thread for OTC trading if enough people are interested in that.

Hello everybody, here is a new repository location for the original Titcoin client: https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin-original

You can safely use this one until a more up-to-date client gets released. Please do NOT follow changes released under the previous repository location (https://github.com/OfficialTitcoin/titcoin-wallet), because that one is owned by the TittieCoin developers now and the changes will almost certainly be something stupid related to swapping your TIT to TTC.

Thanks for your patience! If there are any developers here who would like to get involved, please PM me.  Wink

That will be something interesting. If I understood correctly, then the new team is going to. Do you need coders and people who can promote the project on social networks?

Definitely bud!  Smiley  The more people are involved in our project the better, because it makes our community stronger. Please join our Discord for getting involved, working out a marketing strategy etc.

As for translations, you guys don't need my or anybody's permission to start a thread in a different language. Just send me the link to your thread so I can add it to the links section.  Cool

About Wisp

Wisp is a fork of SpectreCoin that runs without development fees. At Spectrecoin, every 6th block reward goes to the project founder. This system was introduced in a hardfork on 2018-08-21 @ 22:00 GMT (Source). The Wisp project is a group of independent developers and community members who believe that users of a cryptocurrency should NOT be forced to give money to a single person (and neither to a small group of people for that matter). Instead, we strongly believe in freedom and decentralization, as these are the main points of cryptocurrencies.

The goal of Wisp is the original vision of Spectrecoin to build a solid privacy-focused cryptocurrency based on Proof-of-Stake, but with an even stronger focus on freedom, fairness and radical decentralization. As such we don't support centralized exchanges but encourage our users to use decentralized exchanges (DEX) instead. Our developers and active community members are volunteers or work based on unsolicited donations by other members. There is no central "team", instead everybody is encouraged to contribute what he or she can. You don't need permission to start working in the Wisp project, and if you can code and your contributions are good, you will get repository access.

The Wisp project in a wider sense is characterized by the association of individuals with a focus on decentralization, liberty and privacy. As such we see ourselves in the philosophic heritage of communities like the Tor community, /r/Rad_Decentralization on Reddit and the original Bitcoin community.

Anonymity

Wisp uses several mechanisms to protect the privacy of its users. Connections to other clients are exclusively made through the Tor network. Received payments can be made unlinkable using dual-key stealth addresses (DKSA). Sent payments can be anonymized using a ring signature token system originally invented for ShadowCash (SDC).

For more info, please refer to the Spectrecoin whitepaper: https://spectreproject.io/White_Paper.pdf

Wallet

The current wallet is based on Spectrecoin v1.4 and can be accessed from this repository: https://github.com/wispproject/wallet

We currently do NOT offer binaries, since the binary release process is inherently centralized and relies on trusting a single person, which is not compatible with the philosophy of Wisp! We encourage our users to compile the wallet on their own system if they have the ability to do so, or let a trusted person build a binary for them. You should generally not run executables from people on the Internet that you don't know.

One goal on our roadmap is setting up Gitian, which should (partially) solve the trust problem. If you are a developer experienced with using Gitian, you could help us to set this up if you like!  Smiley  We're also aiming to create comprehensive compilation instructions for Windows users so that it is easier for them to compile the wallet.

Exchanges

Wisp is currently not listed on any exchange. Generally we consider exchange listings to be the task of the community. So if you are interested in getting Wisp listed on your favourite exchange, please come to our Discord, propose your idea and join forces with other people who also want Wisp to be listed on that exchange.

We are planning to get Wisp listed on the Bisq exchange as soon as possible, because it aligns perfectly with the radical decentralization approach of Wisp.

If you are lucky you will find someone here or in the Wisp Discord who is willing to sell you some coins OTC (over the counter).

Roadmap

The plan is basically to follow the changes released by the Spectrecoin team, and making our own adjustments in cases we don't agree with what they did. The main reason we have our own blockchain is simply because they decided to implement development fees into their core protocol and we did not. Except from that, the two will be pretty much the same.

Any other developments really depend on our community members; since we're an open community anybody who has a cool idea will get the chance to include it into Wisp if the rest of the community agrees.

Contributing

Wisp is a community project, so contributors and developers have a very high reputation in our community. There is a special membership status in our Discord for contributors, and we have an exclusive channel that only contributors can write on. If you are interested in getting involved, you can basically contribute whatever you like! The most important positions to fill right now are:

  • Developers / code maintainers
  • Social media experts
  • Node operators running static IP nodes or DNS seeds

Acknowledgements go to:

  • The Spectrecoin developers for their past and ongoing work on the Spectrecoin wallet that Wisp is based on
  • jbg for building the foundation of our current wallet and build system
  • HippiePyro and vvc for initiating the Wisp project
  • Tom14 for building an awesome website
  • Huber Humphre for creating our current logo

Please ask if there are any further questions, and welcome to the Wisp community!  Smiley  You can find the Discord invite link in the "Links" section above.

I have started working on making a new Titcoin client based on the most recent Bitcoin codebase (0.16.3). It should take between a week and a month, roughly. If there is some Bitcoin developer here interested in helping out for a small reward, please message me.  Cool
