you seem not to be very verbose about your plans so please allow for some brainstorming here Smiley If you communicate plans for the software part, more people might jump in. The most interesting question is, how is 2flav going to be used..
2flav is just droping their value on yobit exchange
and i think its again to their lowest value and its not good for 2flav holders like me
dev should gives us some good news about 2flav coin if have any

Just what I have been saying all the time. These guys don't want to listen. You might join the Slack to get some more info, PM church about an invite. The current "plan" is to build up more Twitter followers ... which CAN work, he's building breadth first and depth later. The Twitter gateway on Slack is giving some insight into that.

The plan with regard to the software is, from my understanding, just to have a dedicated blockchain for music promotion. There is no further plan other than using basic Bitcoin features in the wallet. The promotion itself will be centralized to the Flavorcoin project and the music radio. People spend coins to have their music promoted. That's the use case. For promotion you need a large social network, so that's what's happening right now, and will be happening in the next months, besides adding more music to the radio channel. The promotion network will just grow slowly and steadily, until the first people try to pay him to promote their music. Then the coin's price will explode to Mars. Church knows how to build a promotion network, so this is what will happen eventually.

Dev just gives a damn about this forum, the coding action has already been done, the main action is happening on Twitter now. Just do it like me, fill your bags with 2flav and enjoy the show.  Cool

Ohh forgot to add. There will be a built in block explorer in the new client Smiley

That's amazing! Smiley  I love it.

Less coins is better for trading imo.

Right but this coin's main purpose is not to be traded. It's about being applied in actual applications. The developers decided that for their purposes, a high coin supply is beneficial.

Just a thought: when CLAM was launched, it used the private keys of other alt-coins such as litecoin and bitcoin so you can "claim" your CLAMs.

In this case, if you know the private keys of your ESP 1 wallet, you could make it so that ESP 2 wallets will already be funded by a specific date. I believe the intent is to "kill" the version 1 wallet, because after some time no one will be using the old wallet, no one will be mining on the old ESP 1.

This way, there would be no need for a "swap". Just before ESP 2 launches, you just make a snapshot of the ESP 1 blockchain so you know exactly how much each address in the ESP 2 blockchain should have. You could give an exact date and time or an exact block number, and people will simply stop using their ESP 1 wallets, import the wallet.dat or the priv keys to the ESP 2 wallet, and all their coins will be there divided by 10.

After that, ESP 1 dies a natural death, all miners go offline, all nodes disconnect or shut down. ESP 2 goes live, and everyone has their espers.

If you intend to do the burn method, that will be more work for you guys, but either way is fine with me.

I too think that this sounds like a nice idea ... I don't know about the technical advantages or disadvantages though. Would it be easy enough to write a small helper application to automate this? But then again you could also just automate the burning procedure, it doesn't really matter which method is automated right?
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: August 29, 2016, 06:20:02 AM
I do not intend to make trading ( multiple Buy and sell ) .... I intend to sell my ESPERs after 0.0001000 btc.....55000 would be great -  Cool

Lol not in my wildest dreams. 1000 sat (0.00001000 BTC) with the new supply of 50 billion instead of 500 billion would already be a market cap of 290 million USD. That's third place in crypto right after BTC and ETH. 55000 sat would mean a market cap of 16 billion USD, which is almost twice as much as Bitcoin is worth now. I, uhm, doubt that this will happen. We'll see.  Wink

Btw. just for reference, with the new supply, the market cap at 1 sat is 290k USD. With the current supply, it would be 2.9 million. We should be easily able to achieve one sat soon.

Changed the thread name back - hopefully they make some sort of warnings for it. Just wanted to make people aware.

OMG this is a game without rules ... hope you had fun.

For everyone still interested in porn, Titcoin is still looking for developers to continue the project  Cheesy You can find it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423523.0

The block explorer was a misfortune that wasn't his fault.I'm sure it will be taken care of.

There is a new explorer in the ANN now. Nice!  Cheesy The new link is https://chainz.cryptoid.info/flav/#
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlavorCoin version 2.0 (2flav) PoW/PoS sha256 on: August 23, 2016, 09:02:51 PM
...
The available supply on Coinmarketcap is completely wrong as well, resulting in a wrong displayed market cap - many people are using CMC as an important information source, you should fix this.
...

don't know what coinmarketcap you are looking at, but it diiffers about 2k coins, which depends on the measurementintervall.
i don't think cmc is updating every coin every minute.

Hey nice! When I last looked at it, the coin supply was 4M and the market cap was $2K. It's nice to see it fixed!  Smiley

Church working silently again? Cheesy

The ANN seems to be edited, it now says "Original supply" instead of "max. supply", probably referring to the old fixed-amount crypto token Flavorcoin v.1? That makes more sense, although I don't see its relevance here.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Espers [ESP] | Selling | Buying thread on: August 23, 2016, 11:38:32 AM
No volume there

We are mostly seeing big offers in this thread. Maybe the volume on exchanges would be higher if you would make the same bids there as you do here. Personally I would rather like to use Cryptopia as an escrow than some guy from this forum. If you want higher total volume, everyone should rather move to the central places of exchange instead of trying to make trades in a decentralized fashion. This could be proven by networking theory. Trading means matching asks with bids, so it's most efficient if everyone meets at a central location.
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Espers [ESP] | Selling | Buying thread on: August 23, 2016, 10:08:48 AM
I wonder why you guys don't simply put your buy and sell orders on Cryptopia? Nobody will accept your offer here if the market's offers are better. If they were not, you would have the best bid/ask on the market so your order would be fulfilled eventually. And you'd get escrow for free.

Could someone explain what is the advantage of posting here?
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlavorCoin version 2.0 (2flav) PoW/PoS sha256 on: August 23, 2016, 08:13:36 AM
Just wanted to say that the Max. supply on the ANN post is still nonsense, because we're already far above it and because POS is not capped.

You have also still not explained what these numbers are supposed to mean:
Quote
POW: 6464067 FLAV

POS: 6464067 FLAV

The block explorer from STEPS is dead but you seem to be working on it, which is nice.

The available supply on Coinmarketcap is completely wrong as well, resulting in a wrong displayed market cap - many people are using CMC as an important information source, you should fix this.

(I am hesitant to mention that the ANN post's "roadmap" still looks pretty messy because you are not going to fix it anyway lol, even after you said you would. You are the marketing expert of us. Tongue)
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: August 23, 2016, 08:07:17 AM
Could someone try to fix the available supply on Coinmarketcap? I just saw it's still not available. Coinmarketcap is an important information source for many people. Maybe you could put that on your TODO list after successful swap.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: August 22, 2016, 08:50:53 PM
when will we have proof of reliability?
We have found that PoR Needs a lot more testing needs to be done to justify going live with anything. testing that will take a lot of man hours that frankly we dont feel comfortable dedicating right now. Instead we are focusing more on the Secure Emailing which i think the community is more excited about, POS Which will make the transition much easier as well give us a basis to test PoR some more, and the Swap-out which has been requested by the majority of the community to lower the count.

Sounds like a solid decision to me.  Cool

Nice movement on Yobit.  Cool  About 10 people chatting about in in the Yobit trollbox, while listening to Flavorcoin Radio. Watching the pump. That's how I like it!  Smiley  Continue the good work!
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: August 18, 2016, 06:59:10 AM
How long start to swap proces? What conversion?
CryptoCoderz said they are working on it, time to go is maybe one or two weeks. The conversion is 10:1.
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: August 18, 2016, 06:33:23 AM
Hi everyone!! I'm in the opposite part of the world for work and I could't follow the news, Have I to take back my coins from yobit and Cryptopia? Thanks guys!
That would not be a bad idea at least. Otherwise you are putting your trust on those exchanges. Of course you can do that if you trust them. I've lost my trust by some unfortunate incidents.  Undecided

So generally, can we have a mining thread finally, please? Sure there isn't much that would be left, but questions like the above would, and there wouldn't be much left that I don't like to read because it doesn't concern me. This thread should be reserved for project-related discussions. Mining is not project-related itself, it's some kind of hobby for people who like fiddling around with source code and graphic cards. Well that's not for me, I have no idea of graphic card internals that's why I don't concern myself with writing optimized miners. The project source code is public, everyone can write their own miners for it. I mean that's the beauty of a decentralized currency, right? The more effort someone puts in, the more value he gets. The value is built by people proving that the algorithm cannot be exploited to more than a certain extent, which reflects inversely in the amount of coins generated. Project developers even paid big buck for an optimized GPU miner to release it for free (which might be a debatable decision in the context of the last pages of thread here, but it's a thing of the past), yet this has been left unacknowledged by some ignorant people here, insisting on their childish claims to have everything served for them for nothing.

Project related things do belong here, developers whose job is to develop the coin belong here. Miners and people trying to write optimized miners, or people trying to use them, should go to their own thread and discuss their own issues there. Just my 2 cents.
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: August 14, 2016, 07:59:10 PM
1. Ofcourse if the community decides the features that were all discussed will be implemented into the current source, however do to sheer simplicity we are offering a faster alternative which will allow the system to get much closer to what we envisioned and provide users with a great service.

2. As for the technical reasons for why we are recommending the swap is this: It's a VERY FAST conversion to a much newer base reference source, it will immediately have PoW/PoS and have the messaging system built into it (this will take longer to properly implement into the current source as many changes are required). As for the MAX TX issue there are other ways around it besides lowering a coin count, however, lowering coin count will significantly make it easier for the system to handle the current issue if not negate it entirely thus avoiding the need for a "fix".
Now for the PoS concern, we do have a legitimate reason to implement PoS as PoR will need to pay a little extra to bagholders PoS would make for an excellent solution to that while PoR would still be running via the connection count process we've explained before. In other words again it would make the project progress faster.

3. Espers 2.0 would not just be a dopamine spike, we are offering many new features with the swapout immediately upon launch as apposed to changing the current source and burning considerably more time that could be used to further the project to our vision as you aptly put it, we have a vision, we are heading towards it.

(...)

The addresses for the new system will have the same starting letter of course but no this is a complete swap to a new system that will not remember your old addresses or balances. As for swap via import of old DAT file. It's a very neat idea don't get me wrong but there many logistical concerns with doing so and abuse concerns, as such we were hoping to conduct the swap over the course of a week ourselves upon uproval to conduct the swap by the community. So far it's been a positive reception with Gandalf raising some good points and of course being concerned about losing focus of the end goal which is not what's happening here, this swap is intended to assist us in providing you folks with all the features we stated are the end goal.

This isn't a pump, this isn't gimmick or a "dopamine spike", this is just something that we are offering to shove all of us users and devs alike forward.

Ok what you are saying makes a lot of sense to me. It appeared to me before that you wanted to implement some things just because someone requested it, and that you were planning to do a coin swap for that reason. However, if you have technical reasons to do so, sure why not.  Cool  Nobody is using this software for production yet, you are in the development phase ... you can do anything you want IMO. Remember to communicate well with exchanges when doing a coin swap.

Oh and one last thing, we will NEVER conduct another swap after this. EVER. Just thought you folks should know this won't be a habit.

You should never only say never under very specific circumstances.  Wink
1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: August 14, 2016, 12:08:14 PM
So, I assume that we will get the other features as well when we don't change the project settings?

Honestly, I like the big coin supply. We will eventually be able to trade for BTC so what is the problem? Is there any technical reason to lower the amount of coins? If I remember correctly, you had good reasons to make a high coin count, to allow for better granularity. Did that objective change? You shouldn't change this projects objectives just because most exchanges nowadays don't support trading below 1 sat yet. The project is way too innovative and ambitious to be influenced by those constraints. Maybe in 2 years all exchanges will enable trading sub-satoshi? Do you know?
Regarding MAX TX I'm sure you can find a better solution than lowering the coin amount.

Regarding PoS, uhm, I don't know... why exactly would you want to do that? Isn't PoR enough to enable people without mining hardware to run the network? Keep it Simple. The request for PoS just sounds like "eh I know PoS, I like it, I want it. It's better than PoW for me". Again, what's the technical reason?

Espers 2.0 is just another dopamine spike ... it's worth nothing on the long term if the changes are not worth it. What matters is what your decisions now will lead to in one or two years. Have a vision. Follow it.

Ok sorry yeah you are right, it's your project. Just wanted to share some ideas for improvement, but of course you are free to do it your way. Sorry if I made it sound too insistent. I think I'll better just watch and enjoy from now on. Good luck! =)
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlavorCoin version 2.0 (2flav) PoW/PoS sha256 on: August 08, 2016, 10:32:44 PM
Hey Simon,

what do you think about making a weekly update here, just to keep the thread alive? There isn't much happening around this project otherwise because the coin is still not in use. If you could make a progress review once a week, just select a weekday, that would help all people interested in the project here.

Meanwhile the price is rising, highest buy order on Yobit 31 sat.

Ceterum censeo, the ANN post must be fixed.

What a stable price!!! for months ,it still keeps 1 sato, great!!!! Grin

Dude we are trading in LTC because of the large amount ... why do you even talk about satoshi price here, it's meaningless.
