181  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Dive Into Bitwinup: The Ultimate Crypto Trading Arena is Here! 🎲 on: May 16, 2024, 11:36:09 PM

It's good to see that our suggestion has been added, now we have the 15sec and 30sec time span. With 15sec having a minimum stake of 5 Matic while the order with the minimum of 25 stake .

With this new innovation one can play with a amount less than $3.5 now, which makes this one of the house's offering less amount to play this game amazing. Now something like a review campaign will really help to bring others to this house again.

Bitwinup just showed that they are listening and they are trying to be a competitive platform in a highly competitive industry based on the stat provided in the data, they are doing great, and the income has stabilized I'm sure marketing is part of their plan to keep their platform moving and get more attention from the betting and the trading community.
If they reach a certain level of popularity, I'm sure more platforms will come out that are very similar to Bitwinup.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Casino Community Service Possible? on: May 16, 2024, 03:57:08 PM

If you think this is not a new thing or there are casinos doing this, you could please drop the link here or material or facts for us to see for ourselves and applaud the casino for that singular act of theirs.

Here in our country, our casinos and lottery platforms are managed and run by the government, and a huge part of the revenues goes to social services like hospitalization and health benefits for the poorest of the poor. In fact, some of our major public hospitals are being sustained by the agencies that run these gambling platforms.

This is the reason why gambling is legal in our country because the huge revenues go to fund projects by our government to serve its poor people.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Naturally Chase loses in gambling.. on: May 16, 2024, 03:18:08 PM

So, from your own understanding, what do you think makes people chase loses aside greed which I believe many of us are already familier with?.

Apart from being greedy, its ego, we always want to have something that we lose to recover, it is inherent and part of us being human, which is why gambling platforms are so attractive to humans because we display our emotions and we always remember our loses when we are playing instead of concentrating on how to have fun.

Some gamblers just can't accept the fact that casinos have an edge and it will play out anytime they believe in themselves that they can beat the house and once they had an initial success they will remember their losses and that's what triggers the motivation to try to recover their losses, that will eventually lead to more losses.
When it comes to losses, some gamblers cannot accept the reality.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 16, 2024, 02:29:11 PM

I think it's still to early to retire, he is 36 years old now and Pacman even retire at 42. So I guess maybe 2 to 3 years, that would be enough for him to gain more big fight and maybe retain his championship belt or beat the other champions if he decide to move up. The hype is on because of his big win, so the fans are hoping not to see him retire as there are plenty of boxers now that Loma has a chance of beating them.

I also believe that he's too young to retire. It's just that fake news has leaked that he wants to retire, but unless there's a formal announcement, I still believe he will keep fighting. Loma is such an extraordinary fighter. It's not easy for a fighter to be fighting at a very high level when your country is at war.

In the coming days, we will read the announcement on who he will fight next or what are his next plans; it's better for him to go after Lopez and Haney; these are two fighters that beat him, but the way he performed against Kambosos he can still beat these two.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 16, 2024, 01:13:45 PM
And imagine the trash talking of Tank Davis and not respecting Loma at all.

That would motivate Loma more, of course he can do that because that's part of marketing, he sell the fight and both are happy with the paycheck. Based on the current ranking now, it's Tank Davis who is above Loma, so most likely the betting odds will favorr Tank Davis as the heavy favorite, and that means we all who believe in Loma here will be happy betting on Loma.

Tank hasn't fought a tough challenger after beating Ryan, I think this time he needs to consider Loma which is a real threat to him.

Lomachenko's career resurgence after the win is evident, and since he is in the retirement stage, there were rumors of him retiring, but there is no formal announcement yet; he should go for top names in his division, and we can all agree Tank is the best choice for Loma, and Loma is also the best choice for Tank.

This will be a big demand after Tank defeats Frank Martin; Martin is one tough customer for Tank.
Of course, I also want to see Lomachecko get revenge on Haney because it's a controversial win, and they need to run it again for the boxing fans and each other so there will be a closure on who is a better tactician between the two.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your slices Luck that would have made you millionaire in gambling? on: May 16, 2024, 11:50:25 AM
.. And what I understand is that if you really want to be a millionaire through gambling, you only have to increase in your amount that you stake the higher the amount the richer you can in a minutes. I don't know for yours, what's yours?
That's a wrong belief, and if you keep holding on to it, you will end up losing everything. Gambling will always be a game of luck. It just happened that your friend got it, but that doesn't mean that it will work for him; it will work for you right away. Your friend's luck is very different from your luck; not every person will have the same luck.

People should understand that gambling is never guaranteed to make money you cannot summon luck to be in your luck, so you'll hit these jackpots, treat it as a form of entertainment, and only invest what you can afford to lose if you're lucky you will hit the jackpot, you never expect luck. Luck happens, and sometimes it happens in unexpected ways.
187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jaron Ennis vs Cody Crowley For Welterweight Title July 13 on: May 15, 2024, 03:53:46 PM

Yeah, I do agree that Ennis is the real deal, although is just caught the tail end of the Crawford or Spence rivalry that's why his name is not inserted between the two. But if he is present or at least here when there is the hype between this two boxers, maybe we can see this 3 fighting each other.

Crawford and Spence shunned Ennis when both were still champions. Ennis's name never came out when Ennis was beating a lot of boxers; he virtually became a gatekeeper of these two, maybe because their respective promoters wanted to protect their records and reputations until their unification so the unification became a major success.

Now, it's Ennis's time to shine, and the boxing community will give him the respect he deserves. Let's see if Spence will challenge Ennis and try to regain the title.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Taylor vs Catterall - April 27 on: May 15, 2024, 03:00:22 PM
I thought that this fight has ended already, but when I checked it has moved to May 25.

And with that, the odds as per Stake, it's now 50/50 at 1.86. It looks like Josh Taylor though has seen better days and the wear and tear is not affecting his body. So I wouldn't be surprised if Catterall finally get the numbers here against his arch nemesis.

Thanks for bumping this thread I saw this in my feed, and I remember there was a thread created for this match. This may not be a title match, but it has all the excitement; just like a World title, it is a grudge match, and we boxing fans love it when there are personal reasons involved; there are so many thrash talks between the two parties, the Usyk - Fury is coming, and after that fight, we have this fight to carry on our excitement in boxing, this is a great month for boxing fans.
I have a feeling that the fights of the year will be those that happened in April or May.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy is a failure if you are consistent with it on: May 15, 2024, 02:16:34 PM
I can agree with your assessment the longer you play using Martingale, the more likely you are to lose money Martingale sounds good but when implemented, you will see how bad it is, and yet we are attracted to it because it is backed by logic, I can't remember how many times I used it and I even employ from time to time out of curiosity or I just want to play just for the sake of playing.

Martingale is so popular among newbies because newbies, when they start to play will search for a method to play or they will discover all by themselves the theory of doubling until you recover your losses, Even when these newbies discover or read articles about martingale they will still ignore the warning because they are attracted on the idea more than the established results.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful with people's money on: May 15, 2024, 10:25:56 AM
People should check the background or character of the people they entrust their money with, but unfortunately, some people are so good at hiding their character that they only get exposed when the deed is already done.

Temptation is really high for people to take a chance on gamblers, especially if they see a match that they figure out could give them a sure win.

This is why companies do not put people in a sensitive position dealing with money who they know to be bad at handling money or addicted to gamblers. I'm not saying they cannot be trusted; it's just that the temptation will be hard for them to resist.

191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accessing gambling sites only on desktop as a means to prevent addiction on: May 14, 2024, 01:23:55 PM

That's it basically. It's what I do also. For me it's a preventative measure to save time but also prevent addiction or financial ruinage. For others it might be a recovery tactic. Who knows. You can try it or tell us how it has worked for you if you already tried.

It may work for you but it may not be for others I have known a lot of gamblers who become or still addicted even if they are only using desktop to gamble on online casinos.

You become addicted because of your weak character not on the device you're using for an addicted individual they can always find a way to play in their favorite platform, I have known people who do not have their own desktop but they are addicted to gambling and they can always find a way by going in internet cafe.

For these people device is not important they will find a way, and for some people its better this way because their family will not know if they are gambling of course with the advent of cellphone things has become easy for gamblers to play on their favorite platform.

192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Where are you hyper focus, online casinos or physical casinos on: May 13, 2024, 03:34:10 PM
I don't think there is a topic created about this, so I'm creating one.

Physical casinos do not have clocks or windows on the gaming floor, and they offer free drinks like wine energy drinks, and food so the gamblers will be hyper focused this is why gamblers spend hours without even knowing they have already spent, while online casinos offer free spins, rakeback, and cashback so you can continue to play to level up to enjoy these perks.

So between the two where are you more hyper-focused and how many hours do you spend on one compared to the other?
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 13, 2024, 02:37:42 PM
I think Haney will be able to regain himself here. I don't see his opponent to be dangerous to be honest because he has a low KO rat
He may have a low knock-out rate, but the guy can box and is very sleek he almost beat Teofimo Lopez if he had not rallied in the latter rounds the fight ended in a split decision, he can beat Sandor but he will have a tough task doing this because part of his resume is a fight against Mickey Garcia which I already mentioned, I think this is a good test for Haney if he can pass Sandor who is a worthy opponent then Haney is back on the track, those beatings coming from Ryan will take a toil for a long time if he can knock out Sandor then he is really back and can move on with that harrowing experience.

Quote
based on https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/578364... out of 42 wins, he only have 15 KO, and he has 3 losses already. So I believe this fighter is not really a threat to Haney. This might look like a tune-up fight for Haney to get back in the game, but he is not the same fighter anymore as he was already beaten by Ryan Garcia.
I believe he is a threat and a very challenging opponent he is a technical fighter who can hurt his opponent but let's see if Hearns will do something to avoid Sandor; Sandor can upset Haney, and this is not a profitable fight for Hearns, some people may see it as a tune fight for Haney, but there's a risk involved if it's coming from an experienced fighter like Sandor.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making bets with my stupid friend on: May 13, 2024, 01:44:15 PM

Do you make bets with your friends?
What do you think about this experience  ?

Yes, and it is always fun; we friends should not take everything seriously when it comes to betting I have read in the news that friends end up fighting and hurting each other because they bet against each other.

This is something that we avoid; we do not want to end our friendships because we quarrel because we are taking our bets seriously; when we play, whoever wins gets to treat the whole gang.

Betting between your friends is a good bounding and everyone should have a mutual understanding that things should not be taken things seriously everything should be for fun and for bounding.

195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 13, 2024, 11:59:23 AM

The WBC organization has ordered Devin Haney to defend his title against Sandor Martin, but the question is he ready to get back in the ring against the dangerous Sandor Martin, or Devin Haney and his promoter will prefer to  give Sandor a step aside fee because they want a unification fight on other champions on the 140

It remains to be seen if Haney and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, will attempt to delay the fight against Martin by giving him a step aside or asking the WBC for an exemption by setting up a unification match against one of the other three champions at 140.

Source: Devin Haney Ordered To Face Sandor Martin, Big Decisions Ahead - Boxing News 24 (https://www.boxingnews24.com/2024/05/devin-haney-ordered-to-face-sandor-martin-big-decisions-ahead/)

The purse bid is on June 17, and based on Sandor Martin's statement, he will not likely accept the set-aside fee; Sandor is a big threat to Haney's future. If you remember, Sandor Martin retired Mikey Garcia and almost beat Teofimo Lopez.

I will update this thread for development and the date of the fight, but I'm certain this fight will happen.

196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling? on: May 13, 2024, 10:50:52 AM
.... tapped me and said that gambling is Satanic and I should desist from it, at first it sounded so funny and made me laugh but with a serious face he further said that it's manipulated by demons and that's why the house would always have the higher edge. He said he used to be a gambler but stopped when he discovered that and that there are demons helping the casino and sport betting owners to manipulate people into becoming addicted and getting more money from them.
People who are purists and very religious will tell you that, but they are wrong in saying that demons are the ones manipulating the results, the results are based on its system, and it's a business model meant for people to enjoy the platform not to make money and we all know that it has nothing to do with demon controlling the system, it's the individual character that will make him addicted, they become are addicted to gamble because of their weak control and character, and there are many responsible gamblers.

Quote
..... i think he's lost too much in gambling before he stopped and is looking for anyway no matter what to discourage people from being like him or he's just being too superstitious. What's your opinion about this please?
I think he loses a lot of money which is why he hates gambling and doesn't want people to experience what he experienced but he has a wrong belief that the reasons people are losing is because of demons, gambling is a game of luck, you could win, you could lose you just need to enjoy the game and don't become a hater every time you lose.
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: May 12, 2024, 03:53:14 PM

Romero and Haney already lost though, it's not Pitbull Cruz, although Haney retained his WBC belt because Ryan Garcia didn't meet the weight requirement of 140 lbs. But as far as Matias, yeah, he has power in both hands but he still hasn't break into the American fans. But maybe this fight might propel him if ever he wins and this fight like goes into a war like Fundora and Tszyu and then Matias win? I think his name might be in the radar of Teo for unification fight. Teo though is the lineal champion at 140 lbs, and for me he will be the A-side whoever he faces any other champions in this division including Matias.

Yes, I agree with you, there was initial hype after he won by TKO against Ergashev but after that, there's no news on Matias there's no hype on this fight in the US, of course, this fight is already popular in Puerto Rico but unless he beats a very popular name like Pitbull Cruz, Teofimo Lopez or Haney I don't think his name will level up in the US ground.

Lina Paro is not even popular, and you cannot consider him a main-event fighter. If this fight is going to be held in the US, it cannot stand its ground and will likely end up as a co-main event.

After this fight, Eddie Hearns should arrange a much bigger fight that will make Subriel Matias a household name
Matias deserves no less than the best fighter in his division to face.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jaron Ennis vs Cody Crowley For Welterweight Title July 13 on: May 12, 2024, 03:21:00 PM
Crowley might have an undefeated record but he will still be a huge underdog. Ennis has had a lot of hype as the next king of welterweight, but thus far the big fights have eluded him. He is now working with Matchroom, who will look to keep him busy. He can start to build a resume by looking good against Crowley and perhaps he will eventually get noticed by the bigger names around his weight class.

Exactly, this could be a great fight for Ennis to showcase his talent and he had a lot of hype in his name, and they want to challenge or have been calling Crawford in the past. But first if he wanted to be noticed by Crawford, he needs to show something in this fight, and we can appreciate if he can win against his customer in Crowley.

And his target is really Crawford, obviously he is the other belt holder, but Crawford is moving up to 154 lbs. But who knows, if Ennis can make a eye catcher win, then Crawford can have a unification fight with him.

After Errol Spence, only Ennis and Ortiz could challenge Crawford in the welterweight division. Still, we are going to a new era in Welterweight after Crawford decided to leave the division, maybe because Crawford was running out of time. He wanted money and a legacy fight only the upper division can give him.

Ennis is not yet a money maker, and we all know when a boxer wins a huge fight, he will become picky to protect the legacy fight that he earned; Ennis is not a money maker and could give Crawford a hard fight, so if he prefers a well established named as his next opponent.

Ennis must have an impressive win to show people that he is the next big name and after this fight, he needs to fight Ortiz, Spence, or even Garcia to show that he is taking over the division.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chased loss, got it back and lost everything. on: May 12, 2024, 01:36:46 PM
Anyone here familiar with this kind of scenario on the title? Just recently saw a compulsive gambler diary which he manage to recover everything when he chased loss then later on he loss it all.
I know the experience and the feeling, it is something that is hard to forget and shrug off, you will blame yourself and pity yourself for what you've done. It will take time to heal from what happened to you but you will learn and be a better gambler because you have something to avoid and a feeling you don't want to experience again.

Quote
I’m sure other players can relate to the part that you still keep playing after recovering your losses for a hope to win a little bit before you leave.
We have this mindset that we should strike while the iron is hot or in gambling keep on playing when we're having a string of luck because we have heard other gamblers winning huge and able to recover their losses, when we are winning we tend to remember our losses and we are tempted to try to regain those losses.
200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 12, 2024, 12:02:26 PM
Well this is the end for me. No luck. Sad

I appreciate everyone who contributed to my post. I may come back another time when I save up the money I lost.

- Mimi

Nice try I hope you're ok and still fine, I know you posted that you are ok with whatever may come but as a gambler myself, it still hurts because you have a plan in case you win, and it's not a small amount, in our country its a six-digit figure and a five-month salary of a minimum wage earner here.

Don't come back right away with the mindset of chasing your losses, take your time, enjoy your blessing but don't save money for gambling use it for something worth pursuing like your education and I still say even though it has been said a thousand times before
