801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and skill, which is more important for gambling success? on: November 12, 2023, 03:42:36 PM
I have the belief that success in gambling requires a mixture of luck and skill. This is opposed to some people who believe that gambling is entirely a game of luck and others who believe it is entirely a game of skill.

So I am tempted to inquire if skill is all that is needed to be successful in gambling or luck. Whichever is the option, which of them is the most important factor for gambling success?
It's not every day that you can summon luck to be at your side, but when you have the skill, especially in sports betting you can repeat your winnings which leads to success, so skill is important but even if you have the skill you must not underestimate the power of luck to get you massive winnings.

Both are important to gain success in gambling but having a skill is preferable you cannot apply skill to all gambling, skill is applied preferably to sports betting it's hard to apply it on luck-based games, that's where luck is the big factor.
Both are important for gamblers, a casino is an entertainment portal but you will always entertain the idea that you can make money if you have both or at least any of the two.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 12, 2023, 01:49:14 PM

So if a gambler where to go into bitcoin trading, do you think that the experience of taking risks in gambling will be an added advantage to face the risk of bitcoin trading?

It's possible because they face the same risk and luck plays a factor in the two niches, and the saying that only invest or play what you can afford to lose applies to both industries, they have the same mindset and that is to make a profit but your chances on trading is higher compared to gambling because on casino platforms especially the luck-based games like dice, slot, and crash, luck plays a major factor, compared to trading where your chances depend so much on your analysis.

The only difference is on gambling you can treat it as an entertainment portal and you can enjoy playing games in casinos, something that you cannot do on trading, I seldom see traders having fun while trading, because you have to maintain your focus, follow the market, and upgrade your knowledge on trading and there's no fun in doing that.

803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sites with bonuses without deposit on: November 12, 2023, 12:42:44 PM
Hello everyone, do you have sites with no deposit bonuses or no deposit free bets?
I don't know of any of such sites aside from freebitco where you can earn a minimum of 2 Satoshi every hour by rolling the faucet, noticed i said minimum, this implies that you could win even much more, but the minimum is 2 Satoshi, and with this, you can participate in betting on bitcoin, eth or fun token prices, or you buy lottery tickets to participate in the weekly lottery where you could win up to 0.06 bitcoin or even more.

Other than Freebitco.in I can't think of any reputable site that offers no deposit bonuses or free bets, because it looks too good to be true but Freebitco.in has maintained those freebies, for many years because of the players' investment support.

In the past, I almost got victimized by new platforms that offer free spins, the scheme is they offer free spins and manipulate the result by letting you win but before you can withdraw your earnings you'll have to deposit funds, their reason is they have to verify the address where to send your earning by sending a specific amount to their address.
I would like you to be aware of this not all that offer free spins or free bets without deposit are legit.
804  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet through Asianconnect using Bitcoin, plenty of promotions waiting for you! on: November 12, 2023, 11:47:24 AM
I advise everyone to stay as far away as possible from this broker. I deposited some funds earlier since I wanted to check out what they were offering and proceeded to complete KYC verification which is pretty much mandatory with these brokers.

I submitted everything including face verification, but they didn't accept my ID stating my photo was old which is bizarre since that ID is a one-time permanent ID card. This ID was accepted pretty quickly by Betinasia btw.

I am unable to withdraw my deposit now due to this issue which is messed up to say the least.

When these things happen I check this announcement and it goes back to October 18, 2017, this thread is already 6 years you better post your accusation in the
Scam Accusation and include all your proof just be sure you follow the right format this is to warn others here, checking the internet there are already scam reports that go back to 2017.

Op is not very active here but he is online and he addressed your post you can follow his instructions but it's still better to open an accusation and only mark it resolved if they address and resolve your issue.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 12, 2023, 11:05:21 AM
Do owners of betting companies place bet on their own platform or is there a policy specific policy that restricts them from betting. Do you think that there would be conflict of interest or that it will be unethical if owners bet on their own platforms. These are the questions that I am seeking an answer to.

Online, the owner/owners never include this in their terms I have read a lot of terms but there's nothing that stipulates what the owner can't and can do they are the policy makers so what they posted on their terms of service are what will stand, and if owners play on their online platform I don't see anything wrong as long as they will not manipulate the games for him to succeed, since this is their platforms they want to see the features and the interface on players' perspective and I like to believe that some owners are playing in their platform but this is online.

But when it comes to land-based casinos it is very unethical to see anyone in the rank and files of the casino playing in their own casino, their clients will see this and this is not a good image they portrayed, it's a different perspective on online and offline, this is one of the rare instances where the online and offline policy differs.

806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use bitcoin when gambling? on: November 12, 2023, 10:10:35 AM

Whatever your preference is, feel free to express why that is and also answer the poll (optionally). It's for research purposes only. Cheesy

For me, it depends if there is no congestion I prefer Bitcoin it doesn't matter to me if the price moves up or down as long as it is confirmed on time but if circumstances force me to use other coins I'm ok with stablecoin, what concern me is the transaction fee and the time of confirmation, a gambler do not want to wait hours for him to play you will end up adding more funds to accelerate the transaction so its better to use stable coins and just trade it to Bitcoin if you win.

807  Economy / Gambling / Re: Jacksclub.io - Next Evolution in Online Gambling on: November 11, 2023, 03:17:49 PM
Your other locked thread has a better announcement than this one, why create a new one to replace a new one are you relaunching the casino or do you want a fresh start, I thought it was a newly launched casino until I saw your other thread.
I'm sure you know how things work here so better to create a more well-designed announcement or post images on the best feature of your casino since you already have a Copper account.

I'm not quite sure why they need to create a new ANN thread to be honest, but it seems the jacksclub.io account has just moved to other person.
The link provided in this new thread is different compared to the old one.

I don't remember you launching a campaign here maybe this is the right time, I checked your feedback and there's a tag that the site is managed by Rollbit's old team, will this association harm or benefit the platform?

They had signature campaign 2 years ago but it was for several weeks only IIRC.
Correction (bold) jacksclub is managed by ex Rollin team not Rollbit, these are 2 different casinos.
Rollin was a popular dice site in the past, can be said as one of the early dice sites in the crypto industry.

Thank you for correcting me bro if there is a change of account then they have to state this, its not often that a casino create another announcement when the old announcement is doing good, I checked the scam section for any reports and there is none and they do have good reviews from casino review sites so its a good start from Jacksclub.io.
As long as there are no valid accusation they can relaunch their casino but they have to make sure that they are better than their last campaign.
I think its better for them to launch another signature campaign, so they can regain their old players here that left the platform I'm sure they are familiar on this platform, and to gain new users also.

809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting online courses? on: November 11, 2023, 01:25:45 PM
Checking online, some sites sell sports betting courses and these sites are

https://coursesity.com/blog/best-sports-betting-courses/

https://www.udemy.com/topic/sports-betting/

But I doubt if there are proven formulas to continuously win in sports betting, all these courses will teach you methods, guides, and what to look for and to properly analyze, but the implementation and how you go in depth in sports betting is what will give you winning, its your analysis and how consistent and persistent you are in familiarizing yourself on sports that you are betting.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 11, 2023, 10:36:44 AM
While gambling some people gamble with small amounts which is not very important for them, but for those who are new to gambling and not able to control themselves or play with something reasonable amount.
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.

What an idea, it's like hypnotizing yourself that you cannot go overboard on what you can bet, it you tell yourself that money is hard to earn it's like saying that don't gamble at all, just allocate a portion of your income then you are good to go, you don't have to remind yourself that money is not hard to earn, you deserve to have fun and when you mean having fun you don't tell yourself that its hard to earn money.

You are playing and having fun so you can forget the hardship of making money and this is your reward for all your hard work, so telling yourself that it's hard to earn money you will miss the fun and enjoyment of playing.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sad reality: some countries gamble more than they can afford on: November 11, 2023, 04:28:43 AM

What do you think about this issue where people gamble too much in countries where the vast majority of the population isn't well off? Should governments step in and restrict casinos more perhaps?

Based on the article you provided this is the amount the government of Greece received, it is for players only not included in these taxes are industries that revolve around these casinos online and offline, and it could grow in the coming years if the trend does not change.
Quote
Last year, according to EEET data, the State received 743.1 million from the taxation of players.
The government cannot just ignore the figure that helps them sustain their treasury.

The government can only educate its people on the many negative effects of too much gambling and like the casinos they promote casinos whether online or offline as an entertainment portal, it's up to the gambler how he treats gambling, there are who treats gambling the right way and some players who go the extra mile and treat gambling as their ticket to financial freedom.
As long as the people are not stealing and many are getting sick because of gambling government will not cut these casinos which sustain their coffers.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Andre August - December 15th in Florida on: November 10, 2023, 04:56:11 PM

if there is one thing that Jake helped in combat sports is that Dana still signed Tony Ferguson in a UFC contract regardless of his age because Dana doesn't want him to fight Jake.

That's likely going to happen, of course, Tony Ferguson if offered a good prize will likely take Jake's Paul offer, and it will be a scourged on Dana White because Jake Paul wants to accumulate UFC fighters to knock out and that's something Dana White avoid, but he can't stop that there will be former UFC champion who will take Paul's offer because prize money is bigger than what UFC is offering.

Dana has become a victim of his own game by paying his fighters less than what they should be taking they opted to fight fighters like Paul even if they lack the training and experience of a boxer and so far Jake Paul has zero losses against these UFC former champions.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex was hacked (Security Breach Discussion) on: November 10, 2023, 03:56:15 PM
Well, guys, I guess a lot of you already know this. Poloniex, aka Justin Sun's own Exchange, suffered a hack of 60M+ USD, and they are offering a 5% Bounty (if there are any white hat hackers here or do you know an interested one, here is the official announcement https://x.com/Poloniex/status/1722956238160536049?s=20).
On the other hand, TRX and USDD do not seem to suffer any backlash from this news.

Topic Security Breach and Protection Layers. Do you think that Exchanges and DeFI need more development and investments here or is this just something we have to lay down our heads and deal with?

Not the best time to happen but at least Poloniex assured its users that they will reimburse users that are affected, actually the 5% whitehat bug bounty is specifically for the hackers just to return the funds they are not looking for white hat hackers, if hackers is good in making that fund untraceable I don't think he will take a bite on that 5% but if he wants to keep it safe he might send back the funds and keep the 5% bug bounty.

Offering bug bounty exchanges just encourages hacking but what if hackers offer a deal of 15% or even higher will Poloniex take the deal, we will see in the coming days if hackers agree to take the 5% bounty and return the fund or challenge the authority to chase them and prosecute them.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What conditions might cause you to stop gambling? on: November 10, 2023, 02:55:59 PM
Health, if I have a disease that can be caused or triggered while gamble, sadly I will stop to gamble since I care with my body.

What am thinking is the disease like heart attack where you should to avoid anything that increase your heart beat, get surprised or something like that. Imagine if I gamble and hit the jackpot, pretty sure I will be surprised at that time.

But many gamblers continue to play even if they have heart problems and land-based casinos are fully aware of this in fact that is there are defibrillators in many land-based casinos in case one of the winners suffers a heart attack, health concerns especially heart problems should be the main reason to stop gambling, gambling is a very excited form of entertainment it's being advised by doctors to their patients with heart ailment to shorten the time they gamble or be in a casino with a medical facility and if you're gambling online you should have someone beside you in case you suffer a mild attack.
Heart concern should be the number one reason to stop gambling, what is the worth of winning a big amount of money if you cannot enjoy it?
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 10, 2023, 01:35:55 PM
Avoid being emotional. I guess that's the number one thing. If you are emotional, you will be carried away by joy, greed, despair, etc. If you are winning and you're very emotional, you could end up losing everything. You think you're lucky and would continue to play even after winning big already. Or if you lost, you could be angry and you would chase your loss and try to recover it. This emotion is equally damaging. You would go home with a bigger loss.

You cannot stop being emotional when you win 10 times your bankroll or you hit a huge jackpot when the underdog you bet comes out the winner, its ok to be emotional its part of our gambling experience we're paying to have fun, and be entertained and that's part of our emotion.

There are two kinds of emotions, losing your ability to think right and satisfying your desire to have fun, if you're a responsible gambler and you have been into a lot and are an experienced gambler, you will act the latter and that's satisfying your desire to have fun.
We are just human beings and being emotional is part of everything we do especially when we are aroused or stimulated, we just have to make that emotion positive.
816  Other / Meta / Re: I don't have good account security. on: November 10, 2023, 12:24:04 PM
I am new to this forum and have not learned anything yet. I don't see the account security in this forum, I opened the account and got no email notification, I logged in again and still no email notification. I think security should have been given while making this account.

No one is complaining except you, all you have to do is to create a very strong password and kept it to yourself, be sure that your PC has a good anti virus, you should not rely on email verification only for securing your accounts.

What makes Bitcointalk is you can stake your Bitcoin address here so in case you lose your account, you can easily recover it, and if your account is compromised the community will see to it that the one who stole your account cannot use your account, while you are in the process of recovering your account.
I also did not get an account verification when I first sign up, and already active here for years and I did not made a complaint, you have to educated yourself on how to protect your account and do not rely it on any platforms.
817  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: About 3Aex Platform on: November 10, 2023, 10:38:00 AM
"I received an introduction to this site from a friend I met in a chat.
The worst place to take advice when it comes to where to purchase coins is from someone you just met on chat or social medias especially on telegram, not unless they are recommending a top exchange to buy top coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum
Quote
Unable to imagine it was a scam, I naturally visited the site he sent. Trusting my friend's seemingly genuine instructions,
The rule of the thump always is to protect yourself and your funds and you fail to do that, if you're going to purchase a huge amount you should do an investigation and dig deep it seems $40k for you, is not worth doing an investigation first before sending money.

Quote
I purchased $40,000 worth of ETH here and transferred it to 3Aex through NDAX. However, when I tried to withdraw funds now, the online site only shows 'under review,' and the customer service is unresponsive. Additionally, my friend insists that I need to pay a fee to withdraw the funds.
There's a money scam report that works like this you need to send money so you can withdraw the funds, if this is the first time you encounter this then you have been scammed and this is a lesson learned for you.

Quote
not sure what to do. Upon reflection, I realize I only know his name and his photo what he shown. And what country he was from ; I don't have any other information. If possible, I'd appreciate advice on what to do in this situation." Also, If, like me, you were introduced to 3Aex, be sure to check it out first. Otherwise, you will find yourself in a difficult situation like me.
About 3Aex Platform
This is what happens if you do not do an investigation all the signs are there that it's a scam scheme if you're only aware of the many reports here and you know how to do an investigation, now you know that you need to be very careful when meeting someone online, this is a hard and sorry lesson.
818  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomarketing services are they always scams? on: November 10, 2023, 08:58:22 AM
SosSpagetti, why it takes you 19 days to address this, if this is how you do your business then so be it, if you're getting clients and getting results then it's up to you, I just realized that when it comes to marketing you have to offer something different and if you think using shilling based on your interpretation and implementation is something that your clients want, as long as these projects are good and legit then have it your way.
It all goes down to the projects that your platform picked to promote, hope you are responsible enough to pick the right project to promote.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 09, 2023, 03:01:09 PM
I voted nothing it's still be the same if I had $50 for my bankroll the price of Bitcoin wouldn't have an impact I would just use the $50 to wage, I think the amount that I use to play will not have an impact in my portfolio as long as I have a job to support my accumulation, although there were times that I play more when Bitcoin is going down and less when it's going down it has something to do with my job or something very important to attend to.
The price has no impact whether it goes up or down it's the circumstances in my life that will make me play less or more.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rodriguez Vs Edwards IBF and IBO WORLD FLYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DEC 16 2023 on: November 09, 2023, 01:49:02 PM
Rodriguez is very good at finding angles, and being a southpaw makes it hard for every fighter that he fought, I saw his highlights, it is hard to face someone who can shift like that, Pacquiao made it part of his arsenal but Rodriguez perfected it, even if Edwards has slick moves, Rodriguez punches will find its mark based on how he shift and prepare his left hand to land.

I love it when both undefeated fighters go for the title, they are fully prepared to get the title and at the same time take the undefeated record of their opponent, I'm sure this is going to be an entertaining fight, this is a not to be missed fight.
