481  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hosting companies that don't ask for KYC? on: January 19, 2024, 03:01:27 PM
I want to create an e-commerce website on WordPress and was thinking of buying a domain and hosting a website on Hetzner but I have heard that they ask for KYC verification, is that true? Does anyone know any good and cheap hosting website that will let me buy a domain and host a website without KYC documents? It will be good if they accept Bitcoin and altcoins but that's not mandatory. Don't suggest a random list, recommend one that you have used successfully.

I have used and already had an account on Namecheap for 5 years and they never ask me for any documents, they will only ask if there are illegal activities on the sites that you are hosting on their server, Namecheap is a very friendly hosting company, they will give you the best service.

I don't know why the decision that you don't want KYC, doing KYC is actually for your own protection and there's a big risk of losing your account and your domain if the host can't verify that you are the real owner of the account if ever there is a breach, all legal and reputable hosting companies want their owners to protect themselves and they can do that if they have your document the reasons are

At Namecheap, the security of our customers' accounts is a high priority. Our verification standards and procedures are designed to protect you from being a victim of identity theft, account takeovers, and any fraudulent activity or financial losses that could happen should someone attempt to gain unauthorized access to your account.

We request that you verify your identity in several situations.  These include where you may be part of a domain ownership dispute, where you have an account access issue and request our help in accessing your account, and/or various types of abuse claims that may be brought to our attention.  We may request certain document(s) to verify your identity as the domain/account owner, legitimacy of your payment, or confirm your claim.

482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 19, 2024, 01:18:03 PM
This is obviously edited photo as winner probably wanted to stay hidden. I personally understand it well, its not possible to win and be recognized in my opinion. People around you would directly start asking for money. I suppose its best to stay hidden. Also I don't think its a proof to corruption. Officers working for lottery wouldn't want to be involved in such situations because huge money is involved with lottery. Risky for their lives.

There are better ways to present the winner without resorting to taking a picture and editing the picture such as covering the face and the body of the winner, they don't even have to show anything because the outlet where the bettor made his bet will confirm it, now by editing the image people will think that everything is a setup the manager already apologized, its a lesson learned that they should not resort to editing because editing is very easy to expose because the netizens have a very good eye when it comes to editing because people are already uploading edited pictures on social media so they can easily tell if a picture is edited

Now the picture has become a laughing stock and the lady become a meme just look on these pictures.

483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Casimero (possible fight in 2024) Let's discuss! on: January 19, 2024, 06:13:38 AM
Looks like its getting more impossible for this fight to takes place any time soon but we wanted to see this match takes place anytime it is available .

I for now will accumulate money to use as betting here if goes possible in the future.

Maybe it will not happen anytime soon but I don't think it's impossible to happen. As long as Casimero will not retire and he will continue to follow Inoue then I believe the time will come that they will eventually meet. Casimero is a quality fighter but it's just unfortunate he doesn't have a good ranking, but his ranking will grow as long as he remains active and of course will continue winning.

As for the amount you will bet, just don't save for it or accumulate, just bet small and have fun.  Smiley

There's hope for the Inoue - Casimero fight, Inoue floated the idea, he will soon leave the super Bantamweight division, and the best way to leave a mark on that division and welcome his coming in the Featherweight division is to beat the fighter who's very eager to fight him.

Their supposed schedule was canceled due to the pandemic and it created hype during that time, It is about time that the Inoue camp gives Casimero a chance to prove himself worthy of the challenges because so many videos of Casimero he keeps criticizing Inoue for avoiding him.

If he doesn't give Casimero a chance, Quatro Alas will keep criticizing him even if Inoue goes up in the featherweight division, It is on Inoue call to stop this criticism

Quote
Inoue himself floated the idea of a voluntary title defense versus former three-division titlist John Riel Casimero as a third fight for 2024. Mr. Ohashi was not quite as giddy over the matchup, though Inoue views the matchup as unfinished business; they were due to meet in an April 2020 bantamweight unification clash in Las Vegas which was canceled due to the initial wave of the global pandemic.

484  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: January 19, 2024, 05:10:21 AM
Bitcointalk is an original forum of Bitcoin and a birthplace of many other top projects where legends themselves were actively posting and what is altcoinstalks? By the way, I want to say that Bitcointalk was probably the only forum with signature campaign, are there any other forums like this one? Campaigns pay high rate today because this is the OG forum and has the highest traffic with a good SEO profile.
You say that if the traffic on altcoinstalks increases, so will increase the payrate but how is that going to happen? How will traffic grow on altcoinstalks? Explain me this part.
It has already grown since the ban of Mixers on Bitcointalk, with some of the forum's reputable members and many more having already transferred their accounts there. FYI, traffic to Bitcointalk increased when the signature campaign launched in 2011. Nobody expected Altcointalk to reach the level of Bitcointalk, but it is now on the right path to compete

The traffic of Bitcointalk don't only increased after the launch of signature campaign in 2011.
Mind you, Bitcoin is just 2years in 2011 and it's harr for an innovative digital monetary system to gain huge acknowledgment and that's what happened with this forum then. Another thing is that Bitcointalk backlink is more powerful than the forum in the subject and Bitcointalk it's also the number one in everything related with cryptocurrency if we're talking about forum.
Bitcointalk after 13 years has gained a huge number of backlinks for it to lose organic traffic, as the domain and the website aged, the search engines are giving it a, especially for any search engine keywords queries if one writer writes an article and that's the only subject in the internet and if some also write that unique subject here in Bitcointalk it will beat the other site even if it is written a year ahead, what subject Bitcointalk tackles it always landed in the first page and that's where generic traffic happens, as long as you are in the first two pages of the keyword you get organic traffic.
Study shows that Searches never get past three pages in their queries.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does signing up with affiliate links gives these benefits? on: January 18, 2024, 04:24:15 PM
Many youtubers and friends share their referral codes/affiliate links, saying you will get bonuses, real money, or free spins. but I wonder if casinos give extra help or benefits in some different situations.

For example, when someone wins a big multiplier and multiplies their account by 100x, then some casinos take a long time to process the withdrawal, or they may not even give the money. however, some say that if you sign up using a good affiliate or influencer affiliate code which have huge audience, then you won't face these type issues. also, if you promote the casino using your referral link, they might not hold back your withdrawal because you helped them get new customers.

is this kind of things is considered shady practice, or is it considered fair in the online gambling world?

These are all not true no VIP or top affiliate can help you once you encounter issue with your account, they are not a third party to fix your issues, whatever issues you encounter it is for you to resolve it, even if you bring in a lot of customers they will still restrict you if you violate their terms in fact they will happy to dispose you because their earnings will eventually go to their coffer.

Don't make a mistake that a VIP or super affiliate can intercede in your behalf, they can only offer you cashback or give you methods you can try for a chance to win buy interceding on your issues they will just ignore.

Two things that you need to remember first if you're an affiliate abide on all their rules be a good affiliate and a player, second only play and promote a reputable casino they will treat you fairly and they will take care of you.

Well, why do you think no one can help? If a gambler has not broken any rules and faced some problem in the casino, which he can not solve on his own, he can highlight his problem through the same Influencer or youtuber on the referral link which he registered. Such people in most cases have a large audience and highlighting the problem on such platforms can attract quite a large number of people to the problem. The casino does not want to spoil its reputation and tries to solve the problem as soon as possible.

I wonder why you missed this point even if you bring in a lot of customers they will still restrict you if you violate their terms no VIP or Youtuber can help you with your case if you're a violator they will ignore you its a different case if you're account is clean they can help you out the community can also help you but if you're a violator then you're on your own

487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 18, 2024, 03:37:41 PM

So winning that money he quickly went ahead to get a new bus to continue his public transport business. From his voice he seems like one whose lost hope has been restored by that single win. Gambling can be a life saver too for it's not as bad as non-gamblers portrays it. To all gamblers' when you get lucky make good use of your gambling win do not chase for double portion.

It takes a responsible man with a plan to do this, many lotto winners become big spenders and live extravagantly they spend as if the flow of money never ends there are a lot of reports that so many lotto winners after a few years go back to their old condition because do not know how to manage money.

Some people suddenly accumulate a lot of money that comes unexpectedly, they realize all that they want, they begin to spend on things that they only dream of buying and go to places that they dream of going, and when their money is diminishing they resort to gambling in casino in the hope that they will gain what they've loss from too much spending.
That's where disaster happens you never try to grow your money in casinos, because you will eventually lose everything.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 18, 2024, 12:53:18 PM
This picture below with the woman holding a check is the winner of "P43 million lotto 6/42 jackpot prize on Wednesday, Jan. 17.".

That's almost $800k if converted in USD.

As we can see in the picture, it appears to be just an edited version, casting doubt on whether there was a genuine winner or if corrupt officials inside are attempting to claim the victory using that picture as evidence.

What's your thought about that picture, is it real or edicted?
The picture is viral and the netizens are tagging the administrator of PCSO the lotto governing body, but this is not something new to the lottery system in the Philippines has been questioned many times but so far they have maintained its reputation.

The netizens are quick to check for the flaws because we have a lot of coders and online designers who are betting in the lottery, it looks malicious but like what others have mentioned they intentionally edited it because they want to hide the identity of the winners. After all, it's different in the Philippines once people know you are a lotto winner people will envy you and you may even become a target of bad elements or the lotto ask that it be edited to protect his identity.

Quote
How about in your area? How reputable are your state-sponsored casinos?
I don't think people will lose interest in betting in the lottery because of this issue, majority of the people believe the lotto ticket is their ticket to get out of poverty and change their destiny, people will eventually forget this and will still bet especially if the prize becomes huge.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 18, 2024, 08:47:02 AM
How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.

It's getting worse every day. I'm extremely depressed I have thoughts of unaliving myself more often, some times I feel the betting companies manipulate people spiritually to get them addicted where be playing without plans and strategy. Once a bet place get cut, there is this uncomfortable urge to quickly book another one with the plans of recovering the first money lost but it will end up cutting again.

If you're in a very bad situation it is time for you to reach out to people who can help you like your family, when you feel very depressed and feeling worse a lot of worse things come to mind, It is not your fault that you are in that situation we are just human and we tend to lose ourselves, especially on something that excites us and give us false hope.

The best step is to have an open dialogue with your family and have you consult to medical professional sometimes our excitement causes imbalances in our hormones, I have seen people's behavior because of chemical imbalances and they need medicines to calm their nerves, you will not know this if you don't consult a professional.

You cannot blame the casinos because they have a warning in their terms that you should gamble at your risk and only play with money that you can afford to lose, unfortunately in your case, you failed to do this.

This is an interesting trivia that I just found out now when one fan posted that Usyk and Beterbiev fought during their amateur days and even though Usyk beat Beterbiev it is established in this fight that Usyk has weakness in his body, Dubois scored a knockdown through body shot against Usyk when they fought recently and Beterbiev also did it when they fought in the amateur.
If Fury will include the Beterbiev - Usyk fight in scouting Usyk he'll know that Usyk has a weakness and he can exploit when they fight next month

491  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 17, 2024, 03:55:43 PM
I am curious to know who are their targeted audience and at what age group. In general gambling people target countries like thailand more but probably this is not the case with crypto. Do they target nerds or total dumbs? How efficient they are between their marketing tactics?

They target responsible gamblers and those of the right age who agreed to follow their terms they are not targeting specific countries but countries that allow their citizen to play on their platforms, Cryptocurrency casinos are very different from fiat-based casinos, one important requirement is you must know how Cryptocurrency works because it's the main currency that Crypto casinos are using.
When it comes to marketing it is easy to market Cryptocurrency casinos because there are so many Cryptocurrency users and they like the anonymity and privacy of Cryptocurrency casinos

Do they target nerds or total dumbs?
I'm not sure they are targeting specific people with those characters, but they want dumb people to play because it guarantees money for the casinos  Cheesy
492  Other / Meta / Re: I heard that this forum used to have advertisements on: January 17, 2024, 02:02:17 PM
It is odd that these advertisements went away as they were a major source of revenue for the forum. It would seem like if theymos wants to continue to distance himself from responsibilities here that he would’ve found someone else to take control of the advertising, but I guess with all the money laundering operations trying to advertise here it wasn’t worth the liability anymore.

Based on this post by Theymos as quoted by OcTradism he doesn't want the liability of checking if the projects are legit or not or if they will turn into bad projects in the future he doesn't want people complaining that they use the project because it was displayed on Bitcointalk, even if there is a disclaimer people will still blame the platform where they see the ads, without the ads Bitcointalk become a trusted platform and a real community for Bitcoin enthusiasts.
They will maintain their reputation and their rank as the number one community of Bitcoiners

Note that I've decided to suspend ad sales. These auctions will probably be permanently ended, and I'm not sure whether or in what form advertising in general will be continued. Maybe some ads will go up again fairly soon, or maybe there will never be any more ads; I haven't decided yet. The main reasons for this decision are:

Firstly, I'm finding it too difficult to determine which services are legit/safe and which are not. It takes me 30+ minutes to research each new service to reach at least some level of confidence in it, but at the end of this I often still don't feel fully confident. Bitcointalk.org is meant to be operated "as a service to the community", so it's very important to me that bitcointalk.org not be seen to be putting profit above the interests of its users. (I've been kind of shocked at the crypto-related ads that are shown on TV, which are often way beyond anything I'd accept here. And I'd like to tighten our standards.)

493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 17, 2024, 09:25:22 AM

How would you feel if you had the opportunity to cashout this amount, and later loose all?

cashing out or waiting till the end of game which is more better?

I had a very bad experience of not cashing out and losing everything, this was for me the best lesson on controlling yourself when faced with temptation, it is a bad thing but you will learn a lot and you will be a better gambler because you will analyze to see what went wrong and promised not to do it again but after getting depressed and having bad nights of losing opportunity of making huge money, it will make you aware of the house edge and the theory that the longer you play there's a probability that you will lose everything and of course you will moderate your greedy.

So if you are faced with this situation cash it out enjoy your earnings and just come and play again with your allocated bankroll, in gambling if you're too greedy you are likely to lose everything learn to be content its a secret to a successful gambling experience.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: January 17, 2024, 06:29:49 AM
I don't think we need a poll for this, Loma is an easy pick here, he has speed, and power and is more technical than Kambosos, if Haney beats him easily Loma can do better, kambosos have problems dealing with technical fighters unless Loma shows signs of aging which I doubt he's not based on his last fight Loma still has it, Its good that it's a title fight Loma had a good chance to be champion here.
Loma can easily beat Kambosos if he is the Loma that we all know, and Kambosos to beat Loma needs technical trainers by his side and to focus more on power and endurance its hard to deal with Loma because of his illusiveness and great fotwork.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 16, 2024, 11:14:22 PM

It's just my view that most online casinos could do many things to improve the social aspect of their sites. Not sure if there would be demand though.

Many players fall into this category of players who love to socialize while playing as they do at physical casinos, they love to do this to relax while betting, we all know it is always high risk when we bet, some players turn on the sound to relax, some chat on social media but it's different when done in the casino platform with fellow players who you choose to chat.

This is a big difference between online and offline casinos, on offline casinos you can enjoy conversations because you are face-to-face with other players and bystanders there are gamblers who play little in casinos they are just there for the ambiance.

Maybe some casinos will pick this idea and install not only a group chat but also a peer-to-peer chat, who knows we'll see this feature in the future they have to keep their players online, and a peer-to-peer chat is such a good idea so players can chat with a player of their choosing and share tips and methods.
I'm not very active on chats I am more concentrated on my games even though there are platforms I'm playing that are giving tips that I'm missing.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith January 13 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: January 16, 2024, 03:00:43 PM

Yep, it's time for both of them to face for the undisputed, there have been talks for this to happen already and now that Canelo doesn't want a rematch with Bivol, the only fight that make sense for him is to fight Beterbiev. Maybe the volume might keep Beterbiev from coming forward, but for sure this is a great fight. Perhaps we can compare it to Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito wherein Margarito was a come forward fighter and then Cotto defending himself by picking up shots. Bivol should need to make this fight in the middle to give him more room to throw his punches.

That would be after Ramadan Beterbiev will take a break during Ramadan and he will resume talks after Ramadan, his promoter Bob Arum assures that they can get into the fight 3 months after Ramadan and possibly in Saudi Arabia, we have seen a lot of great rivalries for the undisputed title but talks are too slow, Arum was the manager of Crawford and he did not materialize a deal against Spence then.
I hope this time he will get the Beterbiev - Bivol to materialize

Quote
"Ramadan is coming. Ramadan ends some time in the middle of April so about three months after the end of Ramadan we'll be ready to fight Bivol, probably in Riyadh," Arum said.

Artur Beterbiev wants undisputed light-heavyweight championship fight with Dmitry Bivol next: 'I need a fourth belt!'
Beterbiev record of 20 fights, 20 wins, 20 knockouts is outstanding but even if he retires with a perfect record there will be a blemish in his record because there is one in standing in his era that could possibly beat him and yet they failed to face in the ring.

The boxing community is hoping that 2024 is the year they will finally meet in the ring and resolve once and for all who is the undisputed heavyweight and possibly greatest Light heavyweight in modern generation.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 01:36:23 PM

Lets start with "you pretend that you are good in gambling when you can hardly win". How did you come with this conclusion? Just by watching how much others bet, does not make me a bad gambler. Now really, I want to know how can you tell if someone is bad or good at something just by reading the post?

"you have a problem with your ego, you don't want other people to beat". Another mystery for me. What made you think I dont want others to beat me? I've said I envy their win, but it means that I only also wish to be so lucky and afford to bet such amounts. This isnt like this facts eats me or something. I do it for fun anyway.

Apology for the wrong use of words in trying to make it general among gamblers who do this and its not meant to target you but to make it general among gamblers who pay attention to other people's bets, I emphasize and categorize these kinds of gamblers not you, hope we can move on to this, apology again.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 12:09:53 PM

That is how the idea of this topic appeared. I watch others gamble, I watch how the bet, I start to think about betting more than usually. Do you have such feeling also? Do you have a feeling that if others make large bets, that you also must bet large, otherwise you would feel like uncomfortable, or feel like a poor among rich, or something of that kind.

If that's the case then you have a problem with your ego, you don't want other people to beat you and you always want to be ahead or imitated, and this kind of attitude or character is difficult for gamblers, you pretend that you are a high roller when you're not and you pretend that you are good in gambling when you can hardly win.

A responsible gambler plays within his bankroll, within his allocated time and he never compares his results and how he plays with gamblers because he understands that every gambler plays differently, they have their level of enjoyment, bankroll, and a time frame when playing and if you're an average player you can't beat a high roller because they back up their bankroll because high rollers are businessman and wealthy individuals.

So it's important to emphasize that while resources for self help can be good, they can also do more harm than good in certain occasions, so it's good to remind everyone that if available, the best option is to always work with professionals.

Now with that out of the way, I feel like it's important to recognize that anxiety contributed negatively to his one might approach gambling. First step with dealing with anxiety is to recognize it. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/anxiety/symptoms-causes/syc-20350961

Those suffering from anxiety they recognize it are afraid to ask for help because people might think that they are weak and what they are suffering is ignorable, once you recognize that you have anxiety you need to approach the right people who can lead you to the right medication and people who can guide you to overcome.
People are afraid to open up because they don't want people to look down on them and laugh at their weaknesses so they prefer to keep it to themselves.

I used to suffer from anxiety and it is not good if you don't have someone mature enough to understand you, you will lose hope and become disengaged from things that you love doing.
It's good that I overcame it with the help of the right people. The right medication and right healing can only come from the right people.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 15, 2024, 02:22:03 PM
Do you believe that you will be more disciplined in sports betting if you have a dedicated bankroll?

Yes absolutely, how you manage your bankroll defines your attitude toward gambling, you will never be a responsible gambler if you do not take your allocation seriously, this is where gamblers first lose control of themselves.
When they do not know how to stop they never look on their bankroll all they care for is to win and if they lose they want to recover their losses right away.
I always see to it that no matter what happens I manage my bankroll properly it's not easy, you need to motivate yourself and remind yourself when and how to stop so if I put $100 for a two-week allocation I need to make sure that $100 will last until the next payroll to fund my bankroll.
