121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: March 30, 2024, 03:52:47 PM
The reason why I'm not addicted to gambling is because even before I started to play gambling I already understand gambling and its addiction, and my understanding has helped me on how to follow up gambling. Sometimes I ask myself why do people get addicted to gambling, is it because they have no understanding or awareness about the addiction of gamble.
It's not only on the understanding but on the character of the individual, some people started to gamble and once they experience winnings and how easy it is because they get lucky on the days they started to play, they will throw everything they know about how to get addicted to gambling, these people have weak characters

Quote
I think majority of people who are addicted to gambling is because they do not understand gambling as beginners, the rules and the side effects of playing gambling excessively.
We don't have data to sustain but coming from my experience, I knew that gambling addiction will lead you to bad things, but I eventually got hooked to gambling, and I'm just thankful that I found a way out.

Quote
I think if gambling companies can help to giving beginners to understand gambling and addiction it will help and reduce the rate at which people get addicted o gambling, I mean good lesson for people to get understanding.  Or do gambling companies benefit from gamblers who are addicted, which the awareness of getting addicted can affect their business?.
There's no guarantee of that gambling, companies already have warnings on their terms and on their homepage but those addicted to gambling or those who are starting just ignored that warning, I believe casinos want their players to be responsible gamblers and want to warn people about the harm of gambling addiction.
They don't want to be portrayed as evil in the eyes of society they promote themselves as an entertainment portal.
122  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tuloy Ang pag Ban Ng Binance Sa Pinas At Posibleng Dahilan. on: March 30, 2024, 03:16:44 PM

123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What nature of the the rewarding games would you prefer playing with friends on: March 30, 2024, 01:53:25 PM
When I'm in with the company of friends and we decide to have a game I want something that will build our relationship so I don't I will recommend the loser shouldering the cost of the events.

I prefer that we pool all our money and the winners get special food or drinks or anything, games should be friendly there should be no place for cheating, and no one is pressured to win.

It's different when you are in the company of your friends, the atmosphere should be light and there's no pressure or quarrel and everyone will go home thinking that they have fun and we all feel looking forward to the next event.
124  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can family members help a gambling addict? on: March 30, 2024, 12:42:00 PM
Many people are going through gambling addiction but they manage to keep it a secret from their families and loved ones. The only people that know about their gambling activities are their close friends. In the event that you are one of those close friend to a gambling addict, do you think it is right to tell their loved ones with the intention that they will be able to talk to him and help him overcome his addiction?
As a friend, I have a responsibility to tell his loved ones about his condition, so they will know what course of action they will take and they will not be surprised by his actions and manners, the family also suffers if one member of their family suffers from addiction, they are the one who can help because they know very well the member of his family and if they decide to rehabilitate their addicted loved ones they will be the one to should the cost and spend the time, so they have the right to know the condition

Quote
Can the advice of loved ones even help? What is the most effective way of going about gambling addiction.
It can help because of their ties with one another, and the only effective way to cure addiction is through rehabilitation, it is the only way to take out the symptoms, the rehabilitation center has a facility conducive to those who want to take out addiction to their system.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rolando Romero-Isaac Cruz to meet on March 30 in Las Vegas. on: March 29, 2024, 03:43:09 PM
^^ if we look at the odds though, it seems that odd makers see Cruz winning this fight. I think it's based on Romero's recent performance as he really didn't look good but we all know that Cruz is a pressure fighter.

But if Rolly Romero changes his style and likely be the aggressor, then we might be looking for a knockout win by either fighter. If he caught Cruz, we will see if his chin is strong, or if Cruz landed one of his wild shots, can Rolly withstand that?

Both are knockout artists they both have good records, and the fight could go either way but I like Isaac Cruz chances because he can take punches, he eats up Gervonta's punches something that Rolly Romero failed to do and if they slug it out Isaac has a better chances because he can do rapid punches compared to Roly Romero who picks his punches.
The Tszyu - Fundora match will be exciting to watch but this match will even match or surpass the excitement
126  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if an employee of a betting company misuses company funds for gambling? on: March 29, 2024, 03:19:55 PM
Do you think a betting company or casino will understand and not arrest an employee who has access to company funds and then misuses it for gambling? If this employee claims that he is battling from gambling addiction, will he be considered for a lighter punishment? If you own such a casino or betting platform, what will you do to such an employee, understanding that addiction to gambling can make people make decisions that are unexpected.

This is a betrayal of trust and malversation of funds or can even go to qualified theft, gambling addiction is not a good reason why you steal from your company.

The company puts you in that position because they trust you. You are so lucky if your manager forgives you but even if you are forgiven you should pay the money that you diverse, because if the manager tolerates your wrongdoing and forgives you without paying.

Those who will hear this story will think that using other people's money is ok as long as you ask for forgiveness.
It is okay to forgive and to make mistakes is human but you have to be responsible for all your mistakes and pay for them.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does affilate programs work in casinos? on: March 29, 2024, 02:47:12 PM
You need to be a gambler to become a good affiliate, some casinos have dedicated domains for their affiliate and some of them have tutorials on how to promote their casino, they even provide everything, like banners, bonuses, and giveaways all you have to do is to get your affiliate link and promote on places where casino links are allowed.

Promoting a casino and getting leads is not that easy you need to have your platform and a reputation for gamblers to trust you and sign up using your link because they know you are going to get a portion of what they deposit, which is why some marketers are offering cashback to their referrals and to motivate their referrals to deposit and play more
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 29, 2024, 02:17:09 PM
I was just playing Hi-Lo, making small dollar bets, if it's 5 number card I select higher card and win, if it's 10 number then I go with 'low' and win.

Then I was greeted with Ace card, minimal possibility for equal card right (i.e, Ace), so I go all in, and guess what happens, the result is Ace means I lost the bet.

Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.

It's rare but it happens, who would have imagined that only one card would beat you but it did beat you, it happened to a friend and it made him lose his faith but things like this happen, there are cases when you lose all hope to win because of the odds but you beat the odds, just like what an upset in sports, it also happens in luck-based games.
I'm sure when faced with the same situation you will not go all out with your bets.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been kicked out of a casino? on: March 29, 2024, 01:37:37 PM

Have you been in this situation before?
It's a pleasure to hear your story.

It's not me but my group on a gambling platform in our fiesta, we are so noisy that we become unruly that the operators called up the security on our localities to throw us out of the premises.
It's a lesson learned from me, and from then go I only go with friends who I think will not cause a scene, when we are in a gambling premises we have to respect people's space and privacy.

In online casinos, I have never been restricted or thrown out the only cases you will be restricted are violations of the rules and cheating or exploiting the platform you're playing.

As long as you have a good standing in the online casino you're playing, you will not encounter any issues, Casinos want their players to stay as long as they do not violate any terms.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: User experience Trends in Online Gambling: What's Next? on: March 28, 2024, 03:51:08 PM

This discussion aims to discover what users really value and want to see in the development of online casinos.

When it comes to features and development there's really not much to talk about but to improve what's already been there, and these are bug-free platforms, with responsive and fair support, continuous marketing, and fair treatment of gamblers.
Gamblers know what they are looking for on a platform and the platform knows how to please its clients so the platform should work in the best interest of its players, there's a lot of competition in the casino industry the casino that can give the best experience will get the players' money and attention.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: March 28, 2024, 02:14:04 PM

Does gambling excites you? What motivates you, winning or just the fun in it ?

There are two things why people gamble, the excitement and the potential profit, a lot of games are exciting to play, and you will come back again and again because of the thrill and the excitement and you will come back for more if you experience winning while feeling excited.

Every gambler has their favorite games that excite them, mine are Crash game, mine Sweeper, and of course dice games we cannot get over these games, and some gamblers' primary motives for gambling is the profit, although it's useless to think that way, they still believe that they can beat the house with diligent research.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: March 28, 2024, 01:38:20 PM

I have experienced placing bets with my friends and everything is fun and there's no pressure involved as long as you think it's all about having fun but when you're with your friends you should not indulge too much, you should not show them that you are a big bettor or try to show off that you can big bettor.

The only difference between betting alone and betting with friends is there is no pressure to win and you can accept your losses more because you are not the only one who loses.

But I don't want to bet with my friends all the time, there are some habits that you don't want to show when you are betting that you alone should know one of these is how you hate yourself when you are losing, you don't want your friends to hear cursing yourself.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Karate Combat on: March 28, 2024, 12:24:06 PM
This could be the next big thing in combat sports I love combat sports, we have a lot of karate black belter in UFC and other MMA organizations and karate was one big organization before Tae Kwon Do became very popular karate was first recognized.

I'm also very bullish on their Karate token because it passes everything that investors want to see in a project, a fully developed platform, and worldwide coverage.

They don't have an official announcement here in Bitcointalk, but I'm sure the developers behind this project are fully aware of Bitcointalk I hope they can launch an official announcement to gain more followers, this is better than PVE games let's see what the future holds for this new concept.
134  Local / Pilipinas / Re: TUTORIAL PARA MAACCESS PARIN SI BINANCE KAHIT WALANG VPN NA GINAGAMIT on: March 27, 2024, 01:33:08 PM
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disable and hide gambling videos on Youtube on: March 25, 2024, 03:47:53 PM
I'm using the Brave browser and I'm not getting any ads I use another email to watch videos on YouTube that have nothing to do with gambling on my searches.

If your account is subscribed to a particular interest YouTube will keep showing similar videos to build up your interest so for non-gambling related videos use another email and subscribe to more friendly channels like health concerns, old movies soft music and YouTube will show ads related to your interest that's how their algorithm works, its very similar to Facebook also.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 25, 2024, 03:10:16 PM

In general, I realized my mistake and no longer made my bets while I was tired. Concentration is the most important thing in any effort we make, and we must always be at full mental strength, as there are many factors that may affect your chances of winning or losing.

I hope everyone benefits from my experience, thank you

But some gamblers will still gamble even if dead tired from work or daytime activities, there are gamblers whose day will not be complete if they cannot gamble, these people are so addicted to gambling that it's part of their daily routine they prefer to cut their work and allocate time just to gamble.

Concentration and adequate rest are very important if you want to have a pleasant experience in gambling so if you are dead tired better take a rest.

Online casinos are open 24/7 so you can take a rest and just play after you wake up when you are fully rested, you can fully enjoy the game if you are well rested and you can think clearly leading to a win.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 25, 2024, 02:28:12 PM

Adin Ross is one of the most famous streamers in the world right now, with his content having hundreds of thousands of hours in watch time. Of course much of his content is direct promotion to slots games and such gambling. Perhaps Kick should add some limits to how "controversial" a streamer can be in their platform. People like Ross were banned from twitch after maaany violations.

What do you think about this? Do such people deserve a platform even on Kick?

Some streamers are deceptive and manipulative and they don't care about their followers all they care about is the number of people that will sign up using their code.

This is why I don't watch these streamers, they make it appear it's ok to lose huge money because there's always a chance that you can recover it.

But we must admit they are a big help to casinos to get more leads, they offer streamers money and bonuses to stream their platform, but with the way they sometimes do extreme streaming these controversial streamers will eventually lose the platforms they stream.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: March 25, 2024, 01:43:34 PM
So Canelo is facing a non-PBC fighter in what is expected as his last fight with PBC? But at least we now know who Canelo is facing this Cinco De Mayo. The tug of war between Canelo and PBC is settled in the middle. Canelo once again was able to ducked PBC's Benavidez while at the same time PBC was able to save its undefeated but inactive fighter Jermall Charlo.

Mungia is still a dangerous opponent for Canelo. I won't be surprised if Canelo once again losses for the third time in his career. And Mungia is not just a jabber, he loves to mixed it up and throw power punches. Canelo if he is not in his top condition might suffer a brutal beating here.

I love to see Munguia getting into the mixed with Canelo here. Maybe from the first one, similar to GGG vs Canelo in their first fight. Canelo could have lost the fight that time, but the judges save him.

As others said, Munguia is very young and very much motivated to beat his fellow Mexicans and became the next Mexican star. And it seems that Canelo is losing his fans here in the community as he clear ducks David Benavidez. But still though, Munguia could be a different fighter here.

Canelo will fight intelligently against Munguia he will not play Munguia's game, Munguia will be too excited and that's how Canelo will capitalize on Munguia being naive fighting in a championship, I already giving up the thought Munguia can beat Canelo, I just want an entertaining fight between the two.
Whoever wins the fight the Mexicans is the eventual winners here.

Canelo will continue to duck Benavidez because he is the real threat to his greatness and his status as the current face of Mexican boxing so he asks for an unimaginable amount just to fight Benavidez

Quote
"I don't need to fight anyone. I don't need to prove anything to anybody, nothing. I remember when this happened with other people, and now it's happening with David Benavidez? But if some promoter I work with comes to me and says, 'I offer you 150 or 200 million dollars,' that would be the only reason I would fight him," he said.

Taking advantage of this, Canelo was also clear in stating that he never received an offer from Benavidez, but, in case it was given, it would only be for an incredible sum.

This is the easiest way to duck people asking for a huge amount of money, he doesn't care about legacy fights all he wants is to enjoy being on top fighting people he can easily beat.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to handle unethical casino tactics? on: March 25, 2024, 12:42:23 PM
Crypto Casino usually use games from 3rd party game providers which means most of the casino has a similar games here. There’s no way a single casino can rigged their games because they don’t have any control of it except for house games which is the only games casino created by themselves.

I believe this topic is only for those online casino or physical casino that has their own game software which they can modify it on their own but this is not possible on crypto casino that use similar game providers. The only tactics some casino use to take advantage with their player is their ToS rules that gives them total control on every cases against players.

I don't know what the intention to pointing out a particular unknown casino to the community when based on his post he generalized the practice, he posted that he would not mention the name of the casino but he did mention it after a few paragraphs

Quote
Casinos employ various tactics to extract money from players, often by touting the superiority of their games and the legitimacy of their software, backed by monthly audits from reputable gaming auditors. No one wants to feel cheated out of their earnings, so we naturally place our trust in assurances of fair play. But should we?

I agree that casinos use third-party software so it should be the software that should be questioned if there is rigging going on, checking on the platform it looks like they are using third-party software, and about the winning circle page OP should ask the casino for proof first before making an allegation that they are manipulating the winnings of their winners
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cruel level of addiction, causing harms and still keeping it up on: March 25, 2024, 12:15:59 PM

The way I am looking at him, he is behaving unstable, as if he is now mentally derailed, he can communicate but gambling is the next thing he want to do, this have cost him is home, business and family.

It's hard to advise this kind of gambler, he is too deep into gambling that no amount of encouragement, or good words even if you promise him anything just to stop I don't think he will or he can, he is totally out of control

Quote
Where I am confused is that why won't he stopped already? Those that are addicted to gambling that i knew get to this same level of losing everything and they make a U-turn in the end, what is keeping him imprisoned ? His mind? or he is already crazy? Or even a spiritual attack?
Gambling addicts are like those people who are addicted to liquor or drugs the body and the mind cannot keep up or function without them, people will wonder what happened to these people but the only cure for these people is rehabilitation, addiction triggers symptoms so the rehabilitation center will try to replace those that trigger these symptoms, its costly and takes a lot of time, but this is the only cure, if the gamble will not go through this plan, healing will not come and the symptoms will surface once triggered.
