181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 19, 2019, 06:41:24 PM
I couldn't hold it back any longer; as I have sold off my major portfolio because of Christmas celebration. This hold started from last year July, 2018 and now, couldn't hold them again as I have sell off my assets because of the pressure from the family members. After the sale of this asset this evening, I was perplexed as how much I just dumped, all in the name of Christmas.

What are your experience: positive or negative.

In order for you to keep on holding, you must stand upon the pressure given by your relatives because if you keep on listening and following to sell your assets because of pressure, the long wait you have endure all throughout will become useless and once the assets you have sold get back into having a great price, you will just regret selling them at lower price value. This year, my portfolio is also not favorable for the upcoming holiday season which is Christmas so in order for me to have money to be used this holiday until New year celebration, I have worked too hard into my office work to be able to earn an income apart from those that I can attain from my cryptocurrency holdings so that I can still have my money even I am not selling my assets and keeping them in tacked on holding because I do still believe and trust that time will still come that those assets I have held for a long period of time will all be worth it once the market have rise up once again. So I will just be patiently waiting while working and wait for that time to happen.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: December 18, 2019, 11:58:50 PM
From my point of view, scam projects have taken away the glory of genuine projects.
Due to too many scams around crypto space, investors are not confident on investing in new projects. It's Becoming very difficult day by day to find out the legitimacy of the projects.
This in turn affecting the projects and result of this is not raising the funds as expected and required for further development of projects. This is daviating projects from their roadmap which is resulting in too much delay or even failure.
Missing interest in investors is somehow obstacle to growth and further research of dApps projects.
I think, rugulations will solve the topic to great extent, but is there any other way to stop the scamming and not just going away from it?
Please apply your thoughts.

I do think so. It is because of the traumatic experience from recent scam projects that the investors have been into that drove them away making them avoid investing into projects that involves cryptocurrencies. Even bounty hunters are afraid of engaging into projects because of those scam projects that they have gone through. We are all suffering because of that. Now, the mentality of investors as well as bounty hunters are into the concept of generalizing all bounties or projects are scams that is why we are poorly supported by investors making the market down that leads to the failing of some projects in the market. For me, in order to make the bounty hunters and most specially the potential investors to get back into investing on crypto project, we must establish once again good credibility.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to introduce crypto currency to newbies on: December 18, 2019, 11:29:48 PM
In your opinion, what is an effective way to introduce crypto currency for newbies, and how important do you think?
I think platform like the Brave browser are a very effective way, this is important because newbies are the future?
Give all your thoughts here

I think introducing cryptocurrency to newbies must start from the very basic on telling them what is the difference between a cryptocurrency and the fiat currency we do have outside the network or offline. By telling them that, it will gain their interest to know more about cryptocurrency because they will now seek more information of what is something compared to what they have already know on the old times. Telling them than the technological advancement is one of the key factors why such type of currency was created way back 2009 and still up until to the present time. Tell them the benefits or things they can acquire by getting into cryptocurrencies compared to fiat. Although those two are different, if you really want to caught the interest of a newbie, marketing cryptocurrency to them will be the best strategy to boost their eagerness on knowing what cryptocurrency really is.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin Be a Good Investment in 2020 on: December 18, 2019, 10:58:09 PM
We can never say what will most likely to happen on Dogecoin just like we do not know very well what will happen to the rest of the coins within the market. As far as I am concern and known Dogecoin, what I can say is that Dogecoin might be a good coin just for a short term or short period of time and not good for a long term holding for the reason that due to many new coins that are entering the market in no time, people are most likely seeking for a more profitable coin which is I see far beyond from investing into Dogecoin. Also, a lot more promising Altcoins will soon to come as 2020 enters the calendar and I think people will get along with those than Dogecoin which is for other people is a strange coin.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty is over? Shut up! on: December 18, 2019, 10:13:35 PM
Many people keep saying bounty is over, the bounty has no future! I just want to say shut up your mouth, please. You know nothing. Bounty is still good, a regular bounty hunter is still earning good money from it. Just research this year. From the first month of this year, a regular bounty hunter got money from IRONX, VANTA, MiraCletele, Harmony, Coinhe, SERO, Tokoin, and so on. They are leading their life through bounty earnings. Bounty reward is not like before, you have to forget the golden time of it and try to use to with the present condition and keep doing good bounties. Good Luck Hunters.

I do agree. Bounty is still good in this present time just like what we have before. There are still plenty of good bounties out there that are just waiting to be discovered due to the fact that many people are avoiding bounties today because of the trauma cause by some unruly bounties that victimized other bounty hunters. But we must not put into generalized that all bounties are like that because they are not. There are still good bounties in the forum but many people are just blind to see those because they keep on comparing the bounty system from the gold times and wanting bigger rewards compared today. We all know that we are into a dumping market so we must be thankful and contented of what we can have and stop complaining because there are lots of ways we can earn on crypto which includes bounty. We just need to appreciate good things that we can acquire as of the moment until such time come that the market will boom once again.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $100 million worth of ETH? on: December 17, 2019, 11:54:59 PM
At the peak of the market during the massive bull run of 2017, the Ethereum Foundation liquidated 70,000 ETH. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin convinced the foundation to sell at that time.

The price of ETH peaked at $1,400 during January of 2018, which would have netted approximately $100 million from the sale. Buterin also disclosed a personal sale of 30,000 ETH at the same time.

Full news here

Holy smokes! Now this is why their projects can keep up for a very long while.

To me, it was a wise decision for them to liquidate their ETH when it reaches its all-time high back then. Even the “extraordinary terrestrial” himself, Vitalik Buterin, sold his personal 30,000 ETH.

I just wish it was 2017 all over again, when we could have sold some ETH and other tokens during the big bull run. However, I honestly think that it will not repeat ever again because the market has matured already.

Good for them. Well done!

If I will be on that same position in the year 2017 holding such massive number of Ethereum in my account, maybe I will surely be tempted to sell out all of it in one blow because of what I can acquire like what Vitalik Buterin did. It is a matter of decision making with the instinct predicting what might be the outcome of the scenario and the flow within the market. So Buterin have made the right decision selling what he have because if he have waited longer, maybe he won't be able to sell his ETH at a higher value compared for today.

Never doubt what the market can be. I, myself honestly still into believing that what happens in 2017 can happen in no time so we must just expect the unexpected to happen.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just feel sorry for Simplecoin users on: December 17, 2019, 11:31:24 PM
Simplecoin, a cryptocurrency mining platform with a focus on accessibility, will be shutting down in the new year.

According to a press release via the company, Simplecoin will be shutting down on January 1, 2020. This is due to the European Union’s eventual implementation of a new Anti Money-Laundering Directive, which will force Simplecoin to adhere to new know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money-laundering (AML) policies. The platform, based in the Netherlands, will have to change its policies to comply with this legislature, which stands against what Simplecoin believes in.

Source link here

I know how it feels that things won’t last long, especially for Simplecoin.

Shame on these regulations, as Simplecoin cannot see themselves complying with the KYC and AML policies. Simplecoin users may have until the end of the year to withdraw their earnings.

However, they have stated that “it’s not over yet” for them, as they may be coming back in the near future with a different approach. I just don’t know what would that be, but I just hope that they won’t get into regulatory trouble if they are to open again.

I would like to hear about your reactions about this guys. Thanks!

This was really awful news for everybody specially for the Simplecoin users that depends their living through mining. It is really sad that because of non-compliance to the government regulations, a certain mining will be down due to the fact that Simplecoin have a different belief which is a part from what the government regulations have been stated. It is the bad side when the government have already get into the world of cryptocurrency in which they will put certain regulations to be able to let the government have part on what the cryptocurrencies have been up to. Well, there is point on putting such regulations to control mining usage and to better know Simplecoin users identity if they are really into existence or not. Simplecoin users must not be too sad since Simplecoin may be back as soon as they will fix what the government wants and pursuing their aim for their customers on a different approach.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Best Cryptocurrency Wallets on: December 17, 2019, 11:15:32 PM
Among those cryptocurrency wallets that are good for storing or keeping my assets in terms of crypto safe, I would go the best into Ledger Nano S and Trezor because I sure that my assets are safe and secure on hand because I have it on my hand and offline. For me my assets are more secure offline rather than online because as far as we all know that as technology rises, the strategy and techniques used by the hackers are also improved to adapt into the improving and rising technological advancement. Although online cryptocurrency wallets promise to secure all your assets through the ways you have chosen to secure your account, for me, the best thing to protect my cryptos for storing is keeping it offline in which I am sure that I am the only one who can have an access on it.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: crypto and gold on: December 17, 2019, 12:46:45 PM
Both are good assets but have unique capabilities to the world of investing and the way they behave is totally different because if we compare them now I guess crypto is more hyped than gold.

I agree with you. Both cryptocurrency and gold are such a good asset in different industry we have. Which are in digital and real world. We can all do benefit from both in many ways depending on how we perceive the scenario or the situation. Maybe we are just experiencing a devaluation in the market of all the existing cryptocurrencies as of the moment but if we perceive it as a challenge that we can surpass, then we can see and believe that cryptocurrency can be a lot more profitable than gold. On the other hand, if we want a real and on hand secure investment, gold will be a good asset for the reason that as time passes by, and as the demand on gold rises but supplies get into shortage, the value rises overtime. The point is that both are valuable assets in different time and scenario so the sense of comparison must be eliminated because both of the two are performing really well depending on how we see it. But what the secure fact about those, both of them are profitable on different platform and manner.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JuSt a wish on: December 17, 2019, 12:23:43 PM
This is just if, new projects are finding it hard to list on top exchanges because of listing funds but since market is not in a good season why is top exchange listing fee still that high? Top exchanges are not making it easy for new projects to list on their exchanges or am i missing some good information?

And about binance IEO is there anyone on here who can tell me more about them? i mean if a project like eminer can conduct IEO on binance why can't others? is there some kind of agreement like taking IEO fundraising fee after IEO is successful?

Damn i wish new projects can just have their chances as well, now that bitcoin is losing its value things are getting more harder for new projects

Maybe the reason why big or well-known exchanges keep their listing fee that high despite of Bitcoin's devaluation in the market is to secure that only top performing projects can be able to afford being listed meaning, for a new project to be able to afford getting listed into such exchanges, they must have a successful output on sales from bounty hunters and investors most specially because getting into a big and well-known exchanges somehow means that the project have already established a good credibility through publicity and popularity demands to wish being listed into the top exchanges in the industry. All of the projects are capable to be listed on those exchanges but they must be able to establish first a good credibility to be able to have good sales in order to afford getting the needed funds to be listed on big exchanges.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency? on: December 16, 2019, 02:02:37 PM
as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?

Maybe investors are not interested as of now maybe due to the reason that there are still no unique projects that caught their attention to get into investment because mostly based on what I have observed, most coins in the market just share the same features, some just add up their unique feature comparable to the first existing one in a sense that they just do a minimal manipulation or revision on how it will be used but the same aim on why that coin was created. Maybe also added by the fact that existence of scam projects results to traumatic experience on potential investors that is why they are laying low up to this moment of time because they might find cryptos to be not credible enough anymore these days. But I believe, sooner or later they will regain their trust on crypto and go start investing once again.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs, what we can do? on: December 16, 2019, 01:48:39 PM
Hi, recently so many past-ICOs turned into a scam or a deadcoin.
Is there anything what we can do to punish them? More than 2 years ICOs are scamming us and still people are investing, is this really a world what we want to create?

We cannot totally punish them directly because first of all, scam projects are hard to determine at first because like successful project, they also look pleasing and promising to the eyes to be able to attract potential investors to get into their project. But if we can be able to notice this at first base, of course with tough proof, the best thing we can do is to inform the public so that everyone will be able to be informed about such project so that they can avoid to be victimized by such. Informing others to avoid engaging into such project will be our greatest revenge or punishment that we can do for them not to acquire what they really want from us bounty hunters as well as investors so that at first base, scam projects won't be able to launch their project successfully just for their own sake.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto/Blockchain hype over? on: December 15, 2019, 04:40:35 PM
With ever-declining prices on the crypto market since 2018, there has been a decline in the number of ICOs and the emergence of new crypto projects within the mainstream world. 2017 was believed to be the golden year of crypto and Blockchain technology as people invested massively across the market. Crypto startups, companies, and businesses have been largely successful since then. Due to the hype, we've seen many projects come up with a Blockchain solution for nearly anything in life. But the truth is that Blockchain is not needed for absolutely everything.

It's today, and there seems to be a decline in crypto interest among people in the mainstream world. The number of crypto startups and companies have been reduced too. Does this mean that the crypto/Blockchain hype is finally over? Or is it still going on?

What are your thoughts? Huh

It seems to be true. Yes, 2017 is said to be the "Golden Year" for cryptocurrency which we all have notice that despite of the circumstances that we have faced on that year, still the market have managed to keep the price up until the end of that year. A sudden drop down have happened up the entrance of 2018 which is for me gives shivers and shocking reaction on how come that from a fast growing market, turns out to be down all of a sudden. Maybe the excitement of the people in 2017 have not gone through the year 2018, which leads all of us into a down market up until to this moment of time. In my opinion, I am still into believing with cryptocurrency because it have gone through many ups and downs way back it have started and still manages to continue even without the hype. I am hoping that sooner or later people will realize the relevance of using crypto and how can crypto be helpful in such ways possible driven by the innovation brought by the rise of modern technology we have.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins a definite solution against a bear market? on: December 15, 2019, 11:59:26 AM
Somehow, somewhat, stable coins might be a definite solution only for those people who do not want to take part of the sudden turn down on the prices of the coins within the market. It will be a great choice or option for the people who want to play safe and secure their investments with stable coins. But since we are mostly or let us just say all of us are risk takers, getting into a stable coin might be our last resort because up to this moment of time we are still into supporting Bitcoin and Altcoins despite of the mark up and downs happening in terms of the value and prices they show which mostly discourages us all. But still we are into believing into these coins so getting into a stable coin is just an option for us specially for traders and investors.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Power belongs to the investors, they are not to be toyed with on: December 15, 2019, 03:37:13 AM
Investors needs to have interest in other for a project to survive, once investors lose interest its the end, this is why i think developers need to be serious from now onward, there will come a time that new projects won't see investors investing on their projects and its because we have had enough of crappy projects, if there is no more good ideas developers need to stop building projects

I totally agree. That was totally true. There are lots of existing projects out there but the success will be just possible if and only if investors will be interested on the concept that the developers have put into their project to attract potential investors to get into partnership on investing into their project. It is not enough that a project was new for the eyes, it is also in need that it has a stabilize plan and concept with detailed work flow to be able for an investor to be interested into it. Even though we are into a crypto community, still investment is a business so if we want investors to dig in into the projects, developers must be able to present the project well so that many investors will decide to get into investment leading for the success of the project. We must establish credibility for investors to keep on coming into crypto world that may be a great factor for the market to rise up once again.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: December 15, 2019, 03:18:04 AM
There are lots of crypto coins that you can buy aside from Bitcoin that you can see in the market for today. The once you have listed are some of those crypto coins that you can have. Many cryptos are really promising even Bitcoin is currently down as of the moment. We all do have our different preferences or standards upon choosing our coins to be purchased aside from Bitcoin. Well, I do have mine and you have also yours. What is the best thing to do is research on your own to better know which coin will suit into your preference because you will be the one who will purchase on it. Believe on the power of your decision making because in the end, even we do say a lot of coins, it will just lead you into confusion due to the fact that there are lots of coins in the market you can choose from. It is the best for you, yourself to discover the best coin for you.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will binance reach $23 as per experts prediction? on: December 13, 2019, 11:58:43 PM
Did you know?

According to experts, their is huge possibility that the token will recover to the value of $23 in the best case scenario.

 https://coinpedia.org/information/bnb-binance-coin-price-prediction/

Let me know your point of view on this?

Well, that was totally a good because all of the coins within the market do truly have the capacity to rise up in terms of pricing and become beneficial to everyone. If the prediction will be true, there will be a great possibility that those people who have supported Binance will surely benefit once that predicted scenario becomes true into life already. For me such price improvement was already great. Improvement in the prices of all the coins in the market whether small or large improvement must be appreciated because most of the time, market is down so to hype up, even small improvement is already grateful.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects that failed to keep their promise in 2019 on: December 13, 2019, 11:32:05 PM
Here are some projects that get listed on exchanges but ignore bounty hunters and airdroppers like they don't exists

1. Sparkpoint
2. Decimated
3. Nestree
4. Sero
Etc.

Any one has a solution to make this stop? if developers can't keep their promises even when they raise fund successful why needing how help to create awareness then?

It is awful that there are lots of existing projects that seems to be so promising at first just to attract bounty hunters to promote their project to gain the attention of the public specially the potential investors that will support their project but right after it, they suddenly changes the informations in their white paper which literally means that they have already failed following the project description leading to failing their promises as well. I think the solution what we can do is public awareness about such projects but not just by allegations. We must have proofs to let everybody know about it to avoid many people to be victimized by those projects.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good advice or bad advice? on: December 12, 2019, 11:42:32 PM
I spent most of my time doing research on many altcoins, their old price to the present value and i find out that even if you sell your tokens today leaving few tokens worth few dollars for many years can worth something. For example if you left 9$ worth of bitcoin in your wallet since 2012 you would never have imagine what it will become today, in jan 2017 you can buy 5000 pieces of Ripple at 0.007$ which costs 35$ and in jan 2018 a XRP cost 3$ which turns 15000$, there are many examples like this on CMC, remember Tron too? My point is its bad selling off all your coins, if you needed money that bad always leave coins and tokens worth of few dollars left in your wallet just in case

It is not totally bad to sell all of your coins in your wallet because it is still into your ownership and you are the only one to decide of what you must do to your coins. It will be regretful at some point of time but if you really in need of money and you do not have anything, the call for selling all of those just to sustain your need will be your last resort. But if you can still manage to hold your coins and find another source of income, why not? It is really regretful to sell your coins because we do not know when and what moment of time the price might go up unexpectedly. That is why I am just still into holding my coins and seek another source of income for a while just for me to sustain all my needs because I do really hope so that one day, the market price of the coins I keep for a long period of time will be worthy.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be afraid of making mistakes on: December 12, 2019, 10:54:02 PM
You can try to avoid mistakes, but never be afraid of making one and neither should you be afraid of failure.
The fear of what will happen might be a limitation.
Cryptocurrency sometimes can be very complex and funny, most especially when you find yourself in a situation you have never been exposed to.
When the market is all good, mistakes are not easily detected, but when the situation of the market seems to be on a negative side, then fear sets in and sometimes, we become afraid of what may likely happen if we take a step further, to do what we have never been exposed to.
Even if you eventually fail, it is a stepping stone to become become better and achieving greater success.

Indeed. We must not be afraid of making mistake or experiencing mistakes because it serves as our training ground to better know what is right or wrong. Experiencing mistakes makes us learn and realize a lesson that we must know to be able to avoid making the same mistakes the second time around we have encounter the same situation. When it comes to cryptocurrency, we must not be afraid of having a mistake especially we are into the vast world of crypto wherein there are lots of existing coins, existing projects that can give you opportunity to earn. Having the experience of mistake in crypto world makes us even wiser to distinguish what is a scam or not because once we have gone through that, we are now be able to be that observant not to be fooled once again, creating tactics or strategies to be able to surpass such circumstances we may encounter. So do not be afraid of making one because every mistake we make, is a new learning and experience to be earned that we can be able to use in the future.
