So, MT fucking Gox was down for a few hours, and you'd think that panic might set in at least temporarily, you know, the usual flash dip...
so far it's showing resistance at 135...
I think we'll see 160 today at some point!
Fasten your seat belts!
I agree... and most people who signed up with Gox in the past two weeks haven't even bought in yet. $500 here we come withing two weeks!

Fuck no, give me a dip, I want my coins back !  (only a small percentage for dip trading, I am not so stupid to sell a large amount)
1822  Economy / Speculation / Re: OK, THIS IS FUCKING INSANE on: April 03, 2013, 07:10:39 AM
I've already made my call $250/BTC by April 30, 2013.

Might be conservative.

Dude I'm a fucking atheist but nobody makes money this fast and this easy without going to some sort of hell....

 Grin

My small investment is growing so fucking rapidly, and is becoming a not so small investment.
However, I love everything about bitcoin and am also afraid to sell  Grin

+1,this is starting to get somewhat serious for me.  I can't even imagine how the real early adopters feel (one might argue that everybody buying now is still an early adopter).
1823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 03, 2013, 06:52:49 AM
So are the bulls all in or do you have ammo to dampen the weekly dump?

Ready for a dip
1824  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: April 03, 2013, 01:19:30 AM
Lastly, from a philosophical standpoint I have become quite demoralized about the potential for Bitcoin itself to have a net positive impact on humanity.  Thus I am ever more evaluating the situation with an eye toward cashing out significantly and maximizing my financial reward in doing so.

Why? Please explaiin.

tv is such a tease. Wink

WARNING: A large amount of "cold" bitcoins get moved yesterday, this movement is the largest since the beginning of February.

And we all know how badly bitcoin suffered in February...   Wink

fair warning though.

He sent me and another user a BTC @ $100 after stating it wouldn't hit $100. If he's trolling, it's an expensive troll.

No real bear holds bitcoins up to $100.
1827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see double digits again? on: April 02, 2013, 10:36:03 PM
"Bitcoin prices have reached what looks like a permanently high plateau."

Your definition of a plateau is fucked up.
1828  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 02, 2013, 10:32:41 PM
Damn, I shouldn't have sold at $114. This thing is going to explode by tomorrow!

You never go broke taking profit.

That's bullshit.

Take profit "in what"?

You never go broke diversifying.

Man, I wonder how long we can keep doing this  Shocked
1830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $100 per BTC reached, lets start using mBTC as default unit. on: April 02, 2013, 02:02:14 AM
We should let people communicate about Bitcoin and price goods in Bitcoin however they see fit, and when the majority begin talking in mBTC, it will become the norm.

Indeed.  My guess is we'll see it around $1000.
1831  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can't handle these prices... How much was that again?? on: April 02, 2013, 01:44:04 AM
A bitcoin mined in 2009 is a bitcoin.
If you bet a bitcoin, you're still betting a bitcoin.
A bitcoin is still a bitcoin.

Grin

Yeah, but how hard it is to get those bitcoins back has changed, as has what you can get for 1...
Cpt. Obvious for the win.
1832  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can't handle these prices... How much was that again?? on: April 02, 2013, 01:28:07 AM
Maybe it's just me, but I have difficulties adjusting to these recent price changes. In my mind a BTC is still somewhere around ~$9 USD, it has been there for so long, I guess it just kinda stuck. Now I suddenly see things like 9.7BTC being sold for 1000.- USD and I thought it must have been some kind of bug..?
So now we gotta calculate everything back to fiat again, just to get a somewhat accurate sense of what the value actually is?

Anyone else feel this??

I have it when I make a bet on betsofbitco.in .  Used to be ok to bet a bitcoin or 3, now I am like: "wait, how much am I betting here?"
1833  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you gain more dollar(your currency) value last month in Bitcoins or work? on: April 02, 2013, 01:24:09 AM
Just curious.

I come into work some days thinking, holy crap...I made more money last night than I will make all day at work.

Might want to make clear what yes and no mean...

I hope to god that the people from bitcoin central did that as a security measurement....

1839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 01, 2013, 05:36:23 PM

Verification is not even necessary for such small sums except from Europe. I would say any European that bothers to try his luck with Gox has on average $25,000 or more to invest. Otherwise they would just get verified with Bitstamp, which happens in about 2 days..

No, I am verified, and I invested significantly less than the sum you suggest.

Please tell me more about it! In Sep 2012 I spend a good 30 days trying to get verified w/ Gox (finally with success). Did you also do yours at that time?

Because now I don't think it is very prudent to wait this long as prices are increasing..

Looking back at my emails, it took a little less than 2 weeks between creating my account online, and my first funds arriving.  (end of september 2012, looks like I started earlier than I remembered, of course, those days were a lot calmer than now  Smiley)
