This match did not provide a satisfactory assessment and it is possible that there was an agreement with the referee and from the Tottenham side, as I know there were many violations that were intentional but it was not a problem, whereas for Chelsea they always get very strict supervision.
The referee became the center of attention in this match, there were a lot of odd decisions made by the leader of the match between Tottenham vs Chelsea. Overall the match was very interesting, however it was marred by the "bad" referee. I personally don't think there is any flirtation between the team and the coach, but the facts that have happened give us opinions.
It's obvious the referee Anthony Taylor's officiating was very bad and very incompetent, there was an infringement on the duo of Havertz and Cucurella which resulted to the goals scored by Tottenham, there had been so much complains about his bias officiating against Chelsea, I believed it was the bad officiating that led to Tuchel squaring up with Conte at the end of the match, the match was quite entertaining and competitive, Tottenham came for a revenge of last season thorough defeats suffered in the hand of Chelsea in all competition, though Chelsea needed to sign a competent striker else they will continue to miss scoring chances in matches against top teams
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 14, 2022, 01:42:49 PM
Real Madrid will visit Almeria in their first match. At first glance this would be a win for them. Real Madrid are at the peak of high confidence having won the trophy before this match. But they should not underestimate the opponent they will face this time. Maybe Almeria will give a surprise. Like it would be interesting if we bet on this match.

The result from yesterday's Barcelona match is an example of power off the pitch not guaranteeing win on the pitch, 80% predicted win would belong to Xavi and his team, but what happened was beyond expectation. Real Madrid need to maintain consistency if they want to secure the three points, for me the start of the season always comes with surprises from the big clubs in every league.
I think Real Madrid squad is more stronger and formidable than Barcelona and basking from the euphoria of winning both UCL and Super Cup is a confidence booster as they visit Almeria, I am predicting an alright win for the Los Blancos as they begin their title defence playing with the hottest and one of the best striker in the world and the likely winner of this year Ballon d'Or Benzema, Almeria will have to play defensively else they might concede a lot of goals, though based on past records Almeria has not fare badly performance-wise, but I don't they can pose a threat to Real Madrid today.
1843  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mastering the market movement is what aid profits and not the price. on: August 14, 2022, 10:02:55 AM
As a day trader or a passive trader, most are confused about how to make the best out of the market, and many will always complain of losses during a bear market, meanwhile with the right mastery one can make massive profits in the bear market and this goes further to clarify the fact that market conditions do not have much to.do with your profit maximizing but proper market mastering is what gives profits in whatever market.
It is not that simple, market conditions do have an effect on your ability to produce profitable trades, any trading system needs a trend to make profits, so even if you do not care about going long or short you need big enough movements so after you buy the market moves in your desired direction and then you can sell for a profit, this means there are some market conditions in which it is almost impossible to produce profits even for the best traders.
Cryptos market do trend most of the time an experience trader knows when the market is trending bearish or bullish and when the market is in ranging mode, when crypto trends it is noticeably obvious especially bitcoin thus a trader with a working strategy enters the market when the trend is established pulls the trigger for Long trade in a Bullish market, Short trade in a bearish market and stayed out of market in Ranging mode which is not profitable and might even ended in losses, however this bow down to the fact that experience and skills is needed to becoming a successful trader which doesn't come easily but with determination and courage it can be achieved.

Does Manchester United deserve to be dubbed the team of clowns now? After the humiliating defeat they suffered in the second match of the English Premier League.
It's unbelievable what they did in this match. Actually I'm not too surprised if they lose. But what surprised me and couldn't believe their game in the first half, was beyond expectations.

They conceded 4 goals in 35 minutes.  I hadn't heard in a long time that Manchester United couldn't score points in the first two weeks.  It seems that Manchester United will draw a very bad graphic this year as well.  I would be very surprised if he finishes the season in the top 6.  Erik ten Hag's tactics did not help Manchester United recover either.
From my own point of view David DeGea was culpable in yesterday defeat against Man Utd, he made some mistakes that allows cheap goals in the first half, though he had been very brilliant in the last three seasons winning player of the season for the club, it is his duty to make goal bound saves and avoid conceding cheap goals,  no doubt the other players are very horrible too, infact Man Utd attack was very poor likewise their midfield and defence, even with the exit of Pogba, Matic and Lingard from the team the club is still underperforming it's almost the same usual problem with club no noticeable changes in their player's performances.

Arsenal are very comfortable now by being 3-1 ahead against Leicester. Leicester did a good job by scoring a goal in the first minutes of the second half but Xhaka answered in only two minutes. I'm expecting Arsenal to have this match under control to win at the end. I really appreciate Gabriel Jesus' performance so far a lot. It is like he has waited for leaving Manchester City to show his skills more often.
Arsenal performance today was really quite stunning, gabriel jesus so far has made a big contribution to arsenal game and i think this season arsenal has found the missing piece in gabriel jesus, unlike the case with leicester who seems to have left a big hole after Kasper  Schmeichel departure, in my opinion the defense of leicester city is quite chaotic coupled with the lack of good performance of D. Ward under the leicester city goal today.

Gabriel Jesus scored two goals for Arsenal today, last week in his debut match in EPL he fired blank but was impressive in that game, Arsenal scored four brilliant goals against poor Leceister City today, Leceister City didn't sign any new player this season, however sold their best goalkeeper, I think it's necessary they sign new players else they will struggle in the league, honestly I am very sure for a win by the gunners based on past records against Leceister City, the club has always been well beaten by Arsenal even the season they won the EPL they were beaten by Arsenal both home and away,

It is very sad for the history of football that Ronaldo could not make a transfer despite his desire. His career is about to come to an end and this year he will be playing for a team he doesn't really want. I think his manager has a responsibility in this critical problem as well. They could have managed to plan this process better. A world star football player like Ronaldo has become a football player who cannot find a club for himself.
It's a matter of time in my opinion, he wants to leave at the wrong time. Several considerations from other teams caused them to say no to working with Ronaldo.
Indeed he will play for a team he does not want, but he will be more accepting because that team is a team that played a big role in growing his career in the world of football.
The fact remains that the few clubs that wanted to sign Ronaldo backed out due to backlash from their fans, Atletico Madrid fans protested against signing him when speculations was rife that the club may sign him, Chelsea withdrawn their bid probably his signing might unsettle or unbalance the team, Ronaldo wanted to play UCL unfortunately Man Utd is playing Europa league that prompted his desire to leave the club, except he accept paycut if offers comes European clubs else he should stay at Man Utd and help the club at this trying time, I don't think it's crime to play in Europa league the club is bigger than any player.

They were doing good in their game against dortmund until the last 15 minutes, they were leading the game and they have been playing well, but thanks to dortmund manager they managed to turn things around with his subtitues if there is someone to praise in today win it should be Terzic.
If I have to give credit then I have to give all the Dortmund players today for doing so well in the game to win the game. The coach of Dortmund should also be commended in this regard for being able to provide more quality enthusiasm and direction for each of his players. And the result Dortmund have managed to win the game.
Hopefully Dortmund can be very consistent from the start of this season to the end so they can win another title in the Bundesliga.
Credit must be given to Dortmund for a great comeback in a match that is almost tilting towards Freiburg who could have won the match, the visitors were not at their best especially their playmakerJude Bellingham, Dortmund equilizer came at the appropriate time no thanks to the costly error by Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekk just similar to the error made by Karius of Liverpool against Real madrid in UCL finals in 2018, that equilizer changed the game thereafter two more goals were scored by Dortmund in quick succession, fortunately I won my bet played a double chance Dortmund to win or draw.
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to hedge/cashout bets before end of sport event? on: August 12, 2022, 08:27:07 PM
As OP says I also don't see this profitable thing. But its not supposed to be profitable at all. It is when you are sure (you should have no doubts left that you lost bet) of losing and you get some money back. I see it as somekind of insurance as well.

In my case, I prefer to stick with my initial bet and that's it. I don't think it's profitable but as a kind of insurance for lock in profits as has been mentioned, but at the cost of potential profitability. It is a way of minimising both profits and losses.
Cash out is available when the odd favors me or the chances of winning my bet is bright in my betting site, unfortunately the pay is too low thus I don't bother to cash out, I will wait till the outcome of the bet irrespective of the outcome of my bet it's either lose or win, of course I will only place bets whose chances of winning is sure, if a gambler cashes out continuously before the end of a bet in the long run the profits won't be reasonable at all, I don't think it's wise idea to cash out during the bet that is why I choose No on the poll. Meanwhile if the odd or accumulated bets is huge and the gambler had almost won the bet with few games to having bet with a small fund it's advisable to cash out.
1849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay Utility Bills With Bitcoin In Nigeria on: August 12, 2022, 02:18:47 PM
but, right now, can they actually pay without getting in trouble? reading the previous posts it seems that bitcoin is banned in Nigeria and reading the article, although they have added the option of being able to pay with cryptocurrency it seems that it would still be risky to do so because the PHCN is hoping that the regulators will loosen their rules so the Nigerian citizen can pay without getting in trouble.
Truly cryptocurrency is banned in Nigeria the article looks suspicious to me because the Central Bank of Nigerian CBN being the apex and regulator of all banks had notified all the commercial banks to freeze any account that had done any crypto related transactions, if a transactions is processed and remarked as crypto transaction that account will be frozen, however I was surprised to read the article about PHCN adoption of Bitcoin as a means of payment of utility bills contrary to the government non acceptance of Bitcoin, personally I won't advice any subscriber to start payment now so as not to get into trouble but rather wait till the government makes a new statement on crypto related transactions.

I think this is a direct insult on Manchester united
Unfortunately that statement credited to Graham Porter is a fact, gone are the days when Man Utd command a big respect in the league, during the era of Sir Alex Ferguson it's either Man Utd or Arsenal any other clubs are minnows and underdogs, now every time, dick and harry club always give man Utd a run of their money because of lack of quality players, bad recruitment policy and constant change of their managers despite the huge investment on the club by Glazers family the Red Devil problems still persist, it's becoming clearer that the club has a long way to go in bringing them back to reckoning to be able to compete with other top clubs like Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 12, 2022, 10:44:13 AM
Earlier this summer, Guardiola wanted to recruit Marc Cucurella but refused to pay the £55 million asking price, allowing him to sign with Chelsea instead, leaving them without a reputable left-back after Oleksandr Zinchenko left for Arsenal.

Kieran Tierney of Arsenal is one of the names on Manchester City's short list for a new left-back this summer, though they are aware that a move for Tierney will be exceedingly challenging and expensive to complete.
I think Gourdiola shouldn't have allow Oleksandr Zinchenko to sign for Arsenal, this is a big mistake, since the club doesn't have enough backup as their left back, the club has four centre backs, three right backs but no left back, Benjamin Mendy is out of the club due to face some criminal charges. Arsenal won't sell Kieran Tierney to Man City having sent Tavares on loan to Merseille, Kieran Tierney will backup Zinchenko as well as his replacement if he is injured, Man City will have to scout for an experience left back before the transfer market closes else Guordiola will have to convert some of his defenders to a left back.

Thomas Tuchel is now pressuring Chelsea owner Todd Boehly into making a good offer and fight to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, having lost Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner this summer.

is a 33 year old Aubameyang really the answer to Chelsea's striker woes? This certainly looks like a short term fix for Chelsea. Probably just for a season until they can get a good striker in. They could go for Ronaldo, since Ronaldo wants to play in Champions league for another season.
Chelsea atm lack a formidable scorer and I’m confident that Aubameyang could be a good choice to fill that void. Ronaldo? I think Tuchel will prefer Aubameyang to Ronaldo considering the fact that he knows Aubameyang well from their time together at Borussia Dortmund. And Aubameyang knows the Premier League and the city of London well following his four-year stint in Arsenal and would bring a guarantee of goals to a side in need of them.

Aubameyang is definitely better than Ronaldo. Ronaldo's performance in the Premier League last season was not enough good. Moreover, Ronaldo is now almost 38 years old. At this age it is very difficult to maintain fitness consistently in a competitive league like the Premier League. And so Aubameyang is a better fit for the Chelsea squad than Ronaldo.

Aubameyang is not in doubt about his ability, this 33-year-old player is a target for Chelsea and Tuchel also asked Aubameyang to immediately enter the Chelsea team. But about the comparison with ronaldo of course completely true. Ronaldo is still able to play with high performance even though he is 38 years old, 4 years older than Aubameyang. Roaldo remains a Legend and the best player, still no one has matched his record.
There isn't any need to compare Abumeyang with Ronaldo both of them are good strikers, however Ronaldo records in the game outweighs that of Abumeyang he had won anything winnable in the game, there comparison dont matterI believe Chelsea needed to address the issue of not having a permanent striker once and for all, Timo Werner had returned to his former club likewise Lukaku had also gone to Inter milan leaving Chelsea without real striker, Abumeyang isn't new to EPL he will quickly adapt to EPL if Chelsea signs him I believe he will accept the offer because of Lewandowski signed by Barcelona will reduce his playing time.

6. Ignore personal bias

I have seen fan addict who still bet in favour of their team despite knowing the opponent is better in form, stronger and we'll coordinated from proof of previous match winnings, they bet and lose with the proud feeling of going down with their team. The Manchester fans are the most culprit of this in my area. They usually include man u in their slip and they lose the bet at the end, sometimes it is only the Manchester United game that stop them from winning the bet. Like during last season between the Liverpool and Manchester, this happened despite knowing Liverpool was going to defeat their team.
I never consider personal bias in placing my bet, I am an Arsenal fan and last season the club had been very inconsistent in their performances thus I placed my bet based their present form and past records, imagine placing a bet that Arsenal will win against Liverpool that is absolutely unrealistic last season, rather I placed my bet that they will lose and won, it's unfortunate that those Man Utd fans prefers personal bias against reality, money is involved in gambling thus it's so important to place a bet on sure bets based on the past statistics and records of the participating teams irrespective of being the fan club or not.

After Manchester United lost their first Premier League game of the season 2-1 to Brighton at Old Trafford, United legends continued to criticize Erik ten Hag's strategy in the selection of players in that game.

Rio Ferdinand, a Manchester United legend, made his version of the starting eleven for the match against Brentford.

Can this formation be considered effective and Erik ten Hag will try it?
Let's wait for Saturday at home to Brentford vs Manchester United.
It seems that Ferdinand version of the starting eleven is more promising than the starting eleven that was played by Erik in the early game. Cristiano ronaldo is certainly better playing in the main striker position than the previous formation where Eriksen was the main striker but there was no contribution from him. Now we will see if Erik will be interested in input from the Manchester United legends or will he use his own strategy with slight changes to the front line.
Ronaldo was unfit that was why he wasn't in the starting eleven against Brighton last weekend but later came on, instead Erik Ten Hag played Eriksen as a false nine, a bad tactics indeed, had it been Ronaldo was fit I think Rio Ferdinand formation would have been utilized by the manager, Anthony Martial who should have been the alternative striker was ruled out due to injury while Rashford and Sancho played at the flanks thus Man Utd were left out without a real center forward, however I think Ronaldo will work on his fitness before the end of the week to enable him to start and play as their main striker while Eriksen goes back to his usual midfield role.

According to a news report Timo Werner has completed a permanent move and return to his former club RB Leipzig after spending two seasons with Chelsea he had 89 appearances and scored 23 goals for the club, Timo Werner is a sharp attacker who runs in between their opponents defenders with pace thus always play very well for the club, though he usually miss a lot of scoring chances, however he helped the club to win UCL as well reaching semifinals last season, he had paid his dues for the club, his return to his former club will guarantee him a regular playing time so as to get a call up to their national team for the upcoming World Cup.

The first week of the English Premier League is over. Tottenham Hotspur occupy the 1st position because they managed to score 4 (four) goals. The second position is AFC Bournemouth. Arsenal is ranked 3 (three) and Manchester City is ranked 4 (four).

Liverpool only got 1 point in the first week for drawing with Fulham. Meanwhile, Manchester United failed to get points at home because they lost to Brighton.
Positions of the club in the First week of the league doesn't determine the eventual winner in the long run, in the second week it's obvious the table will change with losses, draw and winnings recorded by some clubs gradually the stronger teams will begin to contend for the title while the weaker ones move down to the bottom to battle relegation, meanwhile Liverpool who managed to get draw and Man Utd who lost their last match might pick form and improve on their performance and move upward to a better position on the table.

Manchester United is currently eyeing Arnautovic, a 33-year-old player who played an important role at Bologna, hearing these rumors is certainly a question mark for us why Erik Ten Hag wants to sign Arnautovic because currently MU still has Ronaldo and Martial as strikers so Arnautovic's presence will make The MU squad has three strikers, could it be that Erik Ten Hag doesn't believe in Ronaldo and Martial's appearance as strikers so far, so they want to bring in Arnautovic.
Unfortunately Man Utd bid to sign Arnautovic had ended due to huge demand of sign on fee and fans preventing him from moving away from Bologna, Moreso Arnautovic is 33, I don't think he can be effective at that age considering the physicality and quality of EPL, the club should scout for a young striker like Halaand, Man Utd will now have to rely on Ronaldo who is not fit while Anthony Martial is out Injured, according to a news report Eriksen played as a false nine last weekend while Rashford and Sancho played at the flanks that shows lack of center forward in the club thus despirately searching for an experience striker.

The score did not surprise me. Starting Eriksen at the striker, keeping Ronaldo in reserve in the first game? Captain Maguire? Indeed, if Manchester United continues like this, they will surely miss the last season and think 'wow that season was wonderful compared to this'. I hope we would see the old Manchester United but I don't think so. It does not suit United for such a team to lose to Brighton. Also, you are in your own field, you play 4 midfields with Bruno, your only goal hope is Rashford. If you come out with such a squad, you will lose the first half and the game. It is obvious that this year is not ManU's year.
Manchester United defeat came as a huge surprise to me and I was shocked a giant like Manchester United would lose to a team like Brighton. Not here to poke at Brighton fans but Brighton shouldn’t have been a problem to Manchester United as “on paper”, Manchester United would have won Brighton but like we all saw, Manchester United got beaten by the underdogs and on its home ground too.
I hope Manchester United won’t let this defeat determine the rest of the season and hopefully, the club would bounce back stronger
Honestly it's like Man Utd unconvincing performances of last season is about to continue this season without any  changes yet, It's unbelievable that a star-studded club like Man Utd will lose even at Old Trafford to lowly rated Brighton, however I believe there is room for improvement, I am very sure Erik Ten might have taken notice of the tactical lapses recorded in their last match and prevent will it as well as correcting it, as the team play Brentford in their next fixture, I am expecting a more improve Man Utd squad who will try to redeem their image and make their fans happy once again.
