1881  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Here's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK at your Monarch! on: June 25, 2014, 03:49:28 AM
What do you expect?

I expect BFL to be able to demonstrate a product that meets the promised specs. Yet here we are, 7 months late, and they can't even show a single full spec Monarch.
1882  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 25, 2014, 12:10:32 AM
Under 1w/gh. Not bad. Not bad at all!

Actually, it's quite horrible. It's not even close to what was promised.

Prospero X-1 will scan 100Ghash while using less than 55 Watts and Prospero X-3 will be able to scan an outstanding 2000Ghash while using less than 1050 Watt.

Just for the record, this is the last time I will give a date for anything. It will be ready when it's ready. I'm tired of the complaints not giving dates then complaints about missed dates after I reluctantly try to give an estimate as to a time frame.

Poor Josh, always missing deadlines. So rather than fixing his business to meet their own deadlines, he's going to punish customers by refusing to give dates ever again. Of course, this is against FTC regulations, but BFL thinks they're above the law.
1884  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] ProvASIC SHA256 ASIC on: June 24, 2014, 05:07:41 AM
Our Lead ASIC Designer is Roger Thorpe.  You can find a brief description of his credentials on the About section of our website, along with the URL of his LinkedIn profile where you can find further background information.  We believe his experience and accomplishments speak for themselves, but we'll pass along your comments.

Do you mind asking your people to post in their linked-in profiles their connections with your company?

How do you get 100 days for profit ?  SP 30  takes 150 days to reach a profit ,  if you steal electricity. Look at the upper link, where the cost of electricity is 0.01 $/kWh (the cost of cable to steal  electricity)

If you do not have a free electricity, I can not reach profit. Look at the bottom link, where the cost of electricity is  only 0,15 $/kWh

https://tradeblock.com/mining/a/b9b29a8efc

Not a good estimate beyond about 3-6 months from now. Difficulty isn't going to continue rising that fast for a whole year.

I don't see a scam either. Just many huge screw ups. These guys aren't like BFL.

It's getting close. While BA is shipping the X-1 about 4 months late, BFL is over 7 months late. At least BA is shipping something. BFL is shipping nothing. BA needs to get the X-3 out the door, and come clean on the compensation package ASAP.
1887  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I no longer work for Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 22, 2014, 05:51:15 AM
Watch him dodge this question:

BCP,
Have more than 5 monarch miners been delivered to anyone outside of the BFL employ? (i.e. a retail customer or business)

You can't ask specific questions like that. BFL is pro at redefining terms. When you say "Monarch", they mean a specific product sold only to customers. They can ship all sorts of products using the new chips and not call them "Monarchs". Just like how they mine with customer equipment because they don't call it customer equipment until they are done mining with it.

What happened to the 6/16 filing date? Was anything filed?
1889  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: June 22, 2014, 01:46:50 AM
I've seen the FTC proof (even though there were at least 10% duplicate items there), but the only "proof" to this is the statement by the probation officer.  Don't you have a nice spreadsheet from paypal like the FTC had?  C'mon Bickster, you're slacking here, get on the ball and get'r done!

Posting from work again, eh? Does Josh know you troll the forum while at work?
1890  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How many people do you think are trying to crack DPR's address? Comment why on: June 22, 2014, 12:36:44 AM
It is believed that he has bitcoin in a brain wallet. of some sort. Brain wallets are much easier to crack then an address with a "real" private key as the number of possibilities are much lower of what the brain wallet can be

Now that is very possible!

Update from your boy Josh:

We are still trying to work through getting the system to send out the activation emails and interface with the Cloud Hashing activation properly... not sure how long it's going to take, but we're mining on the hardware while you wait, lol!!!!!!!1!1

FTFY.
1892  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I no longer work for Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 21, 2014, 08:27:08 PM
One, bcp19, whose first name is Bruce, DOES work for BFL. Ask him and I'm sure he'll say yes, but if he doesn't, I have no problem with linking to pictures of him while employed at the plant. He's been there since last fall. I seriously don't know what game he's playing on this forum and what he's trying to accomplished, but I'm pretty sure it ain't good. To be fair, he is a nice guy.

Thanks for bringing this to light. bcp19 has been quite deceitful in hiding his employment (I'm not surprised, Josh does the same thing). In fact, he has now deleted posts to try to hide the fact of his shilling. Take a look at this quote, which he has now deleted:

As to why these threads?  That's cause that's where the majority of the stupid live.  Why read through 100+ threads a day when you can find all you need in the 3-4 Bick keeps necroing on a daily basis?

And that's why you're just a BFL shill. All the other threads are full of the same thing. Bitmine, AMC, HF, CT, BA, KnC. Yet you always come back to only BFL threads. Bro, it's not healthy to be so obsessed with BFL.

Now it all makes sense! That also explains why he was able to get a refund out of order (if he actually did request one).

SHILL

Quote
A shill, also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with the person or organization.

That perfectly describes bcp19.
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 19, 2014, 11:19:34 PM
Even 8 pin connector is only 384 watts.

But to get to that rating you have to custom wire the connector. Standard PSUs only have 3 hot wires, even on a 8-pin connector. 288w is the limit.
1894  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 19, 2014, 12:12:50 AM
Price needs to be under $1/GH

There's a lot of competitive products in the $1-$1.5/GH range, so if they do price it nicely around $1/GH they'll sell extremely well.
1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 19, 2014, 12:07:42 AM
KnC delivered on spec and on time.  Which other company did that?

Quite a few. Avalon, BitFury, ASICMiner, Bitmain, Spondoolies.
1896  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 18, 2014, 11:50:01 PM
Sorry to question your logic Hero Syke but your statement is only true if BTC goes to $1000. If it remains the same over the time interval in question, there is no difference. If it goes down and you guarantee me a 50% fiat ROI you'll be out of pocket ...

That was the claim. He claimed if BTC goes to $1000 then he has ROI'd in fiat. I proved him wrong.
1897  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 18, 2014, 11:28:22 PM
S-1s burning 400 watts at 25 cents a kwatt would make  fiat roi if btc goes to 1000 usd.   Those that say but if you purchased btc and held  you would have made more don't understand  the game at all .

Had this argument so many times.      Sad but actually good for me.

Fiat RoI is useless, and I can prove it. Let's say your target is +50% RoI.

BTC RoI: Buy a miner for 1 BTC worth $610 USD now. Miner generates 1.5 BTC over its life. +50% BTC RoI.

Fiat RoI: Send me 1 BTC now worth $610 USD. When BTC goes to $1000, I'll send you .915 BTC worth $915. +50% Fiat RoI.

If you truly believe in Fiat ROI, I offer you a guaranteed +50% fiat profit. How many BTC will you send me now?

I haven't read much about p2pool, but I'm getting 110ms from Iceland to CentralCavern so guess I won't mine there. Each p2pool has it's own luck and mines separately than the rest of p2pools or they are "connected"? I'm asking this because maybe I can rent a server from Iceland to setup a p2pool there. Does it need good hardware?

p2pool is a pool, so the "luck" is shared by all nodes, but your node actually creates the block, so you have full control over which transactions to include or not.
1899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 18, 2014, 03:53:19 PM
Do you really think they will be shipping in september? They said they expect to ship batch 1 and 2 before the end of this month..

Batch 2 is next month.

Quote
Batch 2 pre-order customers before the end of the month.
1900  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: June 17, 2014, 06:16:43 PM
By the way: Do all p2pool nodes work "together" at generating a block on the blockchain, or is it every node for itself?
Edit: Obviously all p2pool nodes together.

Both. Each p2pool node generates its own block, but shares the winnings with all the other nodes. That's why p2pool is so important. It's a truly decentralized pool.
