What a huge steaming pile of shit this is turning out to be. Really looking forward to forking out over $1000 in duties when this scrap metal arrives at my door.
1882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7xGPU + Windows // modding AMD video driver is the answer on: September 26, 2014, 06:09:39 PM
OP doesn't state if 14.7 R3 is supported

OP does state this, tho -
Supported driver versions and operating systems
Any Windows and any AMD driver version should be supported in theory.

Anyway, if you try it and it won't work, I'll take a look.

It works perfectly with 14.7 RC3. Thanks for the great tool!
1883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v7.0 - Windows and Linux on: September 26, 2014, 06:06:27 PM
ANN: I will release an update soon, most speedup (about 5%) is for 280x cards and for old cards.

Any news when we can expect new updated miner?
Tnx

1-2 days.

Will the increase in speed cause an increase in power consumption?
1884  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: September 25, 2014, 03:52:52 PM
I REALLY want to order some S4s, but I can't at this price. Just doesn't make financial sense.

Guess I won't be getting any S4s. Whole lotta nope.

We have mitigated the attack that BCX announced 3 days ago!

Details? And comment on my last post?

uray, your new miner is nice, but uses a huge amount of RAM. Normal? Is there any way to limit usage?

use small stagger size 4096 or 8192

Hmmm. Can't do that now, all plots are optimized already. Guess I'll have to use dcct's miner in a VM, it barely uses any RAM. His latest version works just as well as yours on your pool I imagine?

Just to compare, dcct's miner uses only 30MB of RAM compared to 10GB for your miner, reading 20TB across 7 drives.  Huh

My main rig is:

Intel 5960x @ 4.5GHz for now
Rampage 5 Extreme
16GB DDR4
4X 290X
~25TB HDD + 512GB SSD

Do I win the smallest penis award?

any ideas why optimized plotes not finding share on pool???
optimized 20tb but cant find a share for hours wtf need to plot again???

Not sure, but I can say that my optimized plots work perfectly. Chances are, if an optimized plot isn't working properly the original plot wasn't either.

Hi Miners,
if i had round 12TB on one burst address and 14TB on the other address.
What could be the best option?
1. Mining solo? Yes if you're patient
2. Dev.Pool2 No unless you're impatient
3. Urrays Pool? No unless you're impatient

Is the GPU Plotter now in a functional status? Yes

Thanks 😎

C++ clone?

could be better yes

Its crazy.  Remember the virus clone?  People jumped on it without a second thought.  I guarantee you many will jump on next clone.  Shit or not.

Yea, without even checking the source even once. Its that "ooh, something new, lets make quick money"-people. Let them go  Wink

Yep, let the dummies walk off the cliff.

It would take something very worthwhile to get everyone to replot their drives.

with gpu is easy to replot, not for me because i've sold them all lol, but the point stand

GPU plots fast, but creates very small stagger sizes. They need to be optimized using dcct's merge utility, which takes a very long time.

has anyone cloned burst yet?

No. There would be no point, no one will replot their HDDs for a shitcoin.
