1901  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Random tips for beginners/newbies. on: August 04, 2022, 08:59:39 PM
If only the forum had to expel me when I was inactive because my rank de-rank up from Jr Member to Newbie (0 merit) then I really never made it to Legendary this time. But I'm grateful the forum never had a rule like this.

This forum is free for anyone without many expected limitations. Beginners will learn, ask questions, discuss something or maybe share their experiences outside of their forum here with many people. It doesn't matter to me because they are free to say whatever they want as long as it's constructive and doesn't break the rules. Beginner's prison will no longer be implemented in the forum, this is really not good.

Some of my tips are:
  • Consistent with the main goal.
  • Learn anything that interests you
  • Discuss anything confusing with the community.
  • Try to have a contribution to the forum.
  • Don't break the rules.
  • Avoid arguing about something unimportant.

1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 04, 2022, 08:45:06 PM
It's a bad situation for Barcelona and I just regret that when they get fresh funds they just keep buying players, the bad impact continues to this day. They buy players but sacrifice existing players such as making players' salaries cut and also selling off other players, if they say about wanting the related player to leave then can it be said as coercion. Because even the related player was completely left out of the squad and the comments from Dani Alves after his contract expired are proven and true. Barcelona really cannot appreciate players who have contributed to the team, at least as a big team Barcelona is currently in a chaotic situation and condition even though they have a squad with good quality that actually makes the situation worse.
I still don't think the real situation is what a lot of online media portrays. Barcelona are struggling to recover from their slumping team so they have weighed any risks they might think of including selling some of their players. But I don't agree that if they really force their players to leave without a deal, it has to be professional and every player has to understand what the club is trying to achieve.

The situation may still be different from what was reported because so far Barcelona are really trying to get up to challenge other teams for the title. Management should talk to every player and his agent so they know about the interests of the club, not just sitting around without a role in a team that only receives salaries without playing minutes. Of course the club will not be willing to pay his high salary without a commensurate contribution, it's a loss to keep him.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: August 04, 2022, 08:11:55 PM
Sometimes I think that I can't fully believe the big wins of the streamers while watching because to be honest they seem to be affiliated with a certain casino. Their winnings are ostensibly orchestrated although it may be difficult to prove, this is based on the fact that other gamblers still find it difficult to win bets compared to them.

I'd like to ask, do you believe a casino system can manage certain gamblers' wins like the streamers affiliated with it?
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐️Share Your Winnings Story. Why do people gamble?⭐️ on: August 04, 2022, 08:01:15 PM
Getting satisfaction when we win sometimes makes we are forget about disappointment when lose Cheesy Grin Grin , I think all those who gamble at first just try to find pleasure or satisfaction in gambling, but gradually the feeling of wanting to always win will grow by itself and that's what causes addiction to eventually overwhelm us, although I am not an active gambler but I don't want to be a hypocrite if I don't want to get a lot of money in a gambling, indeed gambling does not promise wealth unless we are really lucky to get a jackpot like in the lottery, but frankly some The gambler has made gambling as a means for him to earn an income to survive all this time.
There is nothing wrong with that, addiction comes naturally when a gambler's mindset changes for money rather than pleasure.
I forget about how many wins I've ever had in gambling because it probably doesn't really matter to me to remember. I like some games but wouldn't be too eager to win anything big, $50 a day is already too big for me and probably never going to be as often as before to take the risk.

In the end I just want to gamble responsibly. Gambling is not going to solve my financial problems, it must be logically correct but I never know when the lucky day will come for something big.
1905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: August 04, 2022, 06:57:45 PM
The percentage of crypto used for illegal activities is not very big. I think it's because of taxes why countries are regulating crypto.
Taxes are one of them, but as a new currency, bitcoin can be subject to law under the jurisdiction of any country. You can legally use it as a means of payment if your state does not prohibit it, but you must comply if your state prohibits it as a means of payment but you can legally trade it.

Currently my country has taxed every trader who trades his assets on a registered centralized exchange. It's already into the second month for anyone trading there, so taxes are one of several reasons why the government regulates them. The rest, I think another reason that is often mentioned is the problem of possible illegal acts and disruption of the national economy.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: August 04, 2022, 06:48:09 PM
You could really expect that there would be exemptions whenever we do talk about corruption or something and since we do live on an era where connections and accessibility is easy then getting rid of something

is really hard to be completely blocked 100% since we are already on an era where everything could really be easily accessed through online despite on banning it completely.
I dont really see for it to be needed to be banned as long the government would impose such strict rules and reminders about gambling addiction and related to it.
People wont be really ending up on a disaster if they do just simply play in moderation.
I know that the ban won't be 100% effective at preventing people online from accessing casinos to gamble, it's true.
I don't really care how people can access it even though it's banned, but it's clear that the government can't seem to control the proliferation of school-age children who can freely gamble on their Android. The lack of education and warnings would be ineffective even if gambling were outlawed or legal, but I wouldn't be too concerned about the regulations so far.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: August 03, 2022, 09:52:57 PM
I have no problem banning gambling in Islamic countries that don't want to take advantage of it. Nor am I insisting that it should be legalized just because of multiple interests, but it is more likely for me to accept any reason to ban or legalize it.

Indonesia prohibits gambling, but in fact some online casinos get away with it without a clear ban. Some online slots and applications are left without restrictions even though they are in Indonesian jurisdictions. It just depends on the corrupt government, it's really up to them.
1908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: August 03, 2022, 09:48:52 PM
The average says bitcoin helps criminals, but in reality bitcoin is just the same instrument or tool as fiat in criminal matters. I do not believe that this opinion is justified, because frankly the government does not want its centralized financial system to remain undisturbed by the presence of bitcoin.

Legality and prohibition are their way of preventing use and circulation. But the point is the government is just afraid of the other potential that a lot of people can do with bitcoin, and I would probably say is an unfounded form of resistance.
1909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Whales Store Their BTC on: August 03, 2022, 09:30:16 PM
I think of hardware wallet that support multi signature as the best option for whales to securely store their bitcoin. Hardware wallet are ideal for storing large amounts of bitcoin, but either way I don't think they will keep them in one basket. Every user who invests in bitcoin be it small or big then it is they who are responsible who must follow best practices to secure their wallet. I think the whales know how they do it too, and I believe they are still better than most non-technical Legendary like me when it comes to their bitcoin storage.

If we have 1-2 hardware wallets, it's probably 10-100 hardware wallets for them, but who knows if they may also consider a centralized storage service.
1910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 02, 2022, 09:38:00 PM
If you realize that inconsistency is happening to Milan as well and not only to Inter, because at the same time when Milan and Inter have weaker opponents they can end the match with a loss as well as a draw. So basically last season their inconsistency can be said to be balanced, so I can't agree if the inconsistency is only aimed at Inter. But however the season has passed and will start a new season in a few days, the preparations of the Serie A teams I think so far only Juventus has seen a major overhaul and I am looking forward to Dybala's performance at Roma under Mourinho.
Any Serie A fan or gambler who often takes advantage of the match will be well aware of it. The inconsistency of the Serie A team last season has made Milan win the title, but of course I believe Milan also has a good performance.

About this season there are a lot of teams that are starting to improve. Several new players have been signed and this will be good for Serie A as the title race will be intense. Roma in competition, Milan, Inter, Juventus and Napoli will also make Serie A even more interesting.
1911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: August 02, 2022, 09:09:02 PM
I'm very sure that if Satoshi should resurface and prove that he is alive, a lot of things are going to happen which will not end well for everyone in the market, have you noticed that anytime an old wallet addresses that were last active in 10 years back spend a single bitcoin, traders began to speculate and sell or close their position because they fear that he(satoshi) will dump his bags on them to gain access to the liquidity.
I wonder if that will happen to bitcoin in the future. LOL
We're just assuming, if satoshi was alive, he would laugh at how worried we are about his life status out there with his bag full of bitcoin. Some developers are happy to have him back, but neither for investors or traders.

Another reason why I think satoshi might want to remain anonymous could also be because the government will want him, they will want to hear a lot of answers, it is better things remain like this, not as if he did bitcoin alone, there has been lots of improvement since he was last seen online.
Obviously, he's going to be interrogated for days somewhere just because the government wants to get a way to make bitcoin centralized.
1912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 02, 2022, 08:48:35 PM
Haalaand and Nunez both departed from competitions outside England and they certainly still need time to adapt to the English league game, indeed in the Community Shield title match against manchester city yesterday Nunez performed quite well and he indeed to be praised, unlike the case with Haaland who was judged to be lacking contributed to manchester city in that match, but in some pre-season games with liverpool actually Nunez also performed poorly but gradually he was able to restore his game performance, that is also what happened to Haalaand at this time and maybe he still needs time in manchester city, in my opinion quality the two strikers are equally good and it is possible for them will become rivals in terms of the top scorer in the English league next season.
Well I would say great if his first season in the Premier League was able to score 20 more goals. I won't argue if you call him great just because he beat Manchester City, but he contributed well to his team by contributing one goal.

I expect competition between Haaland, Nunez and also Ronaldo if he wants to stay at Manchester United. These three players will be compared until the end of the season, but we don't know what they are capable of achieving. Hoping for the best, that's for sure.
1913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 01, 2022, 07:08:53 PM
with that i think manchester united should have hired more players who were good at scoring goals, this problem of theirs in attack will make them not finish even in 4th position
Did Ronaldo play in all those games? I think Ronaldo can help Manchester United in goal productivity and I don't think they need more players there.
Manchester United need to improve their defensive system and midfield. In attacking positions I think they are good but defense is always a problem especially if you look at it last season. In my opinion, it doesn't take many goals to win but 1 goal is enough but they have to have a very good defense.
1914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 01, 2022, 06:45:38 PM
Prior to the start of Serie A, Juventus was threatened by a storm of injuries. Paul Pogba, a recent free agent from Manchester United, was injured while practicing with Juventus in the United States.
Miralem Pjanic, a former Juventus player who is presently on the playing for Barcelona, is being considered by Juventus as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who is anticipated to miss a significant amount of time due to a lateral meniscus injury to his right knee. Even his participation for France at the forthcoming 2022 World Cup is in doubt. Even worse, Pogba was forced to undergo surgery to have a piece of his meniscus removed from his knee. He will be out of work for 40 to 60 days.
Pogba's injury is very heavy for Juventus because Pogba and some of their summer purchases are predicted to be able to restore Juventus' performance even better this season. Juventus have lost the competition in recent seasons with Inter and Milan coming out as champions at the end of the season. So now Juventus may be looking for a replacement for a while because two months is a long time to recover.

Miralem Pjanic may be good, but he is still a barcelona player whose contract expires in 2024. If Juventus want to sign him then I think they will have to spend a bit on Barcelona. Miralem Pjanic is 32 years old, but his form is still good in my opinion.
1915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: August 01, 2022, 06:13:03 PM
I just wonder: are Early Adopters rich?
Obviously, they become very rich only if they still have bitcoin up to now which means they can still access their wallets. Price fluctuations have determined their fate and you can probably find a lot of information about anyone who got rich in the last decade because of bitcoin.

What about others? Bitcoin Core developers? Forum admins or well-known old users? Are they crazy rich living in their own castles or did they lost their coins,
They don't tell you how many bitcoins they have in their wallet, just speculating about them might not solve the problem you want to know about. But I can say that there are quite a number of traders and investors in this forum. They are rich because of bitcoin, but anyway we don't know how much.

Then, this one:

What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5338254.0

OP, because you asked, then I thought I'd quote my answer a while back for you to read. So I don't have to rewrite about it. Newspapers and online media have invited me to this space.

I read newspapers and some other online media and I found bitcoin being talked about even though some of my friends have been here for bitcoin since mid 2015. I really didn't realize that until one day they admitted they had been here for a long time and even had hundreds of bitcoin. This is my 4th year on the forum, I'm really enjoying it now and I'm lucky during that time I'm enjoying some ATH.

But wait, why am I starting to think your story is unbelievable?

Fast forward 4 years I buy some Bitcoin the day i move to England just for some fun, completely forget about it for 2 years. One day I was completely broke and remembered I had brought some Bitcoin a few years back. I ended up making about £120 on my investment (crazy to me at the time).
Hello, Dear

Can anyone tell me which token should I use for my investment which will give me profit in a short time as I am investing for the first time?
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 30, 2022, 07:34:31 PM
the game finished with a left-footed shot from Haaland that hit the crossbar, signaling the start of the Premier League season the following weekend.
Unfortunately for Manchester City, instead of trying to score an equalizer after Liverpool led 2-1 but they conceded another goal from Nunez in the 90+4 minute. I have to say Liverpool played better and Salah's penalty has made their spirits even better. Congratulations on their win, it was the first title of the season for Nunez and his team-mates.

Unfortunately Haaland did not score in this match even though he played from the first half. Pep may need to evaluate his team's defense and fix it in the next game. I don't think it's bad, but it's a good result for Liverpool. Before the Premier League officially starts, I hope Manchester City have a way to improve their defense and attacking aggression. Especially Haaland, he has to try to be the best this season.
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 30, 2022, 06:08:39 PM
Juventus are still thinking about a move to sign Nicolo Zaniolo but I'm not very positive about Roma to sell him to any team now. It is like the time they need him the most because they would aim to have a better season with Mourinho. Zaniolo is a player who can play a critical role in making this real. Tottenham are also observing his situation from some distance and looking for an opportunity to sign him. I expect none of them to reach their goal at least for this summer.
Roma have to keep their players especially because the season is about to start. He's still needed at Roma and I'm sure Mourinho will try to keep his players this summer. Nicolo Zaniolo was an important player at Roma last season, he had 28 appearances throughout the season and scored 2 goals in Serie A. So even if Tottenham or Juventus want to go for him, I'm sure he won't be sold this season.
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 30, 2022, 05:46:55 PM
Finally after big press Manchester City found equalizer. Julian Alvarez scored his first goal in his first game. It was a clear goal but we waited two minutes for offside check in VAR. This should've been faster. Manchester City is the better side but they should find winning goal in normal time. İlkay Gündoğan finally comes in, he'd have higher chance to create something for Haaland. Liverpool closed down a lot. We may see extra time and maybe penalties as well.
And it's true that Manchester City finally broke the deadlock in this match where Alvarez scored. But unfortunately the draw did not last long because Liverpool were awarded a penalty which was well converted into a goal by Salah. Liverpool are ahead again, it's 2-1 and here I think they will secure the win.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 30, 2022, 05:34:06 PM
Liverpool played aggressively and managed to take the lead. Trent Alexander-Arnold took a classy shot from outside the penalty area and scored the goal that put his team ahead. It is very important to get the advantage of scoring in the final match. If Liverpool manage to set the tempo of the match, they can win this match. I think everything is in their own hands now. Also, I wonder how Pep Guardiola will interfere with the game. Today his job is not easy and he needs to do something.
Manchester City are still ahead statistically but they can't score. Until the 70th minute Liverpool were still leading the game with a one-goal advantage and it looked like it would never be safe because Manchester City could take advantage of the remaining 20 minutes to score.

Of course I don't think winning this game is easy for Guardiola and his team. Haaland was expected to be the savior in this match, but the game got better because Liverpool brought on Nunez from the 60th minute. A 1-1 draw may be true, however Liverpool have a chance to win this game by retaining their lead.
