1921  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria leads sub-Saharan Africa’s P2P bitcoin trade on: August 31, 2021, 02:28:10 PM
It seems P2P is the only way of trading BTC there at the moment because of bans. IMO it doesn't show a surge in use/activity etc., it just a consequence of the ban. Anyway, I hope there won't be further law that makes ownership of BTC or P2P trading illegal (or the law already exist?). People should be free to own/buy/trade BTC though, but you know authoritarian government can do whatever they want.

I really enjoy IDR slots betting on Stake as $25 can last for a long time, even with bonus buy Grin
Can I request more IDR support for Pragmatic's games since not all of them can be played with IDR. It's better than playing with FUN balance!
1923  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [FUD] Binance vs Mamarika, Inggris, Jepang & Korea? on: August 30, 2021, 07:19:52 AM

Maksudnya dijadikan wETH BSC gitu?
1924  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: August 30, 2021, 06:48:35 AM
This isn't really something that makes sense if you ask me
It makes sense because their promotion model is only valid per person/household, thus they need something to identify the account. Without KYC, cheaters can easily abuse the promotion.

I rather have these places have zero license, zero registry, zero accountability and still gamble more than any other place that has KYC.
Really? Not for me. I prefer legit casino with good governance.
Anon casino can steal your money and just disappear.

I think that I just got $25 free bet from Fotunejack for participating in Majestic7 competition and prediction five correct goal scorers in Matchday 3, and it could easily be six if I didn't mess up with one prediction for Liverpool vs Chelsea.
Congrats man, 4/7 for me aka no luck.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's wrong with uniswap? on: August 30, 2021, 03:03:05 AM
It's not only about Uniswap. In general, ETH network is congested, and the new fee algorithm (EIP-1559) is shit. ETH is practically useless with the average fee of $30 (source)
Just use other chains with similar dex, like BSC-Pancakeswap, Matic-Quickswap, etc.
1926  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Diskusi] Tentang NFT dan bagaimana menjual produk digital on: August 30, 2021, 02:54:05 AM

OpenSea now offers cross-blockchain support across Ethereum, Polygon and Klatyn.
Sumur.

Politik mungkin lebih bermain di sini, karena bisa aja opensea pakai BSC daripada Polygon. Apaan tuh Klatyn, belum pernah denger ane.

1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Temp question on: August 27, 2021, 11:20:15 AM
You can find the answer here: https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/l60f9h/should_i_care_about_the_memory_temp_as_long_as/
The memory sensor isn't there for some vendor of RX 580, so you need a laser thermometer or similar device to shoot the temp.
It said also GDDR5 along with the under-voltage typically won't have problem with temperature, so people just ignore it.
1931  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pacquiao vs Ugas rematch on: August 27, 2021, 11:11:54 AM
He wants to fight because he thinks he was not able to give his 100% in that fight, his legs were tight so he was not able to move well like he usually do in his previous fight, and we all witness that, so maybe let's give him a chance.
C'mon man! As you grow older, your legs will be tight most of the time Grin
Cannot give 100% is because he is old, and the percentage will drop along with the increased age. Last fight he gave perhaps 85%, surely next fight will be 80%, and keep decreasing.

Anyway, it's not only about the legs, but his speed is just not there anymore. I doubt this match will be realized. The only good thing about Pacman is that he didn't receive enough damage that lead to injury, he should retire while still healthy.
1932  Other / Meta / Re: The forum culture is to kill all newbies? on: August 27, 2021, 09:56:41 AM
I don't think nowadays this forum is harsh for newbies. The other way around, I often get "hate" response from newbies who have toxic attitude. I advise you to keep the drama inside the reputation board, and solve the problem/accusation there with proofs. You have an abnormal merit count though, so his suspicion is understandable.
1933  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did the FDA actually approve a FUTURE covid “vaccine”? on: August 27, 2021, 09:39:12 AM
So they can approve vaccine without long-term studies? It's not the FDA approval that is important, but the empirical data from long-term studies. It's only like 1 year or so data? Not convincing (for skeptics). Anyway, time is ticking, and soon we will know if the vaccine is safe, and all the debates about the vaccinated will die in x-years shall be put to an end.
1934  Economy / Economics / Re: Masters in Blockchain and Digital Currency on: August 27, 2021, 09:22:13 AM
Higher education is not for everyone as it's expensive, takes time, and probably won't land you better jobs. It depends on your financial position though whether you are already rich or struggling to get some income to survive. Since you already have BSC, you would struggle if you get a master in programming related field, since you don't have strong basic in computer science (I assume), even though it can be learned along the way, but it's still difficult. Blockchain, etc., is basically programming, cryptography, computer science, etc. It's interesting, but not for everyone, especially from those from social science.

I'd suggest that you work first in the blockchain industry and take the education if you still see it useful. There are lots of area that don't require you to have programming skill, such as law and regulation, and other supporting area (H&R, accounting, PR, etc).
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 27, 2021, 07:59:21 AM
I wonder who came with that formula, because it seems that even though we're not close to 100% capacity, yet this formula has lead to very high base fee. Do you know who invented and enforced this formula onto gas fee structure?
Vitalik Buterin (@vbuterin) et al.

I guess authors don't have knowledge of economy, thus thinking that centrally planned fees (even though it's algorithm) are good. What we see here is a definition of inefficiency, where some blocks aren't full even though the network is congested. Also, it introduces lag, where the lower fees txs must wait for the base fees to decrease before it can be included in a block. This setup surely doesn't belong to POW when the miners maxing their fees, and fight in the "hash race."
1936  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Diskusi] Tentang NFT dan bagaimana menjual produk digital on: August 27, 2021, 06:43:10 AM
1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 26, 2021, 01:55:23 PM
Good, now use your superior intelligence to connect this:

Quote
With EIP-1559, the base fee will increase and decrease by 12.5% after blocks are more than 50% full. For example, if a block is 100% full the base fee increases by 12.5%; if it is 50% full the base fee will be the same; if it is 0% full the base fee would decrease by 12.5%.
https://metamask.io/1559

And this:

Now call me master!

Why do you have to reply if you have no idea what you're talking about?
Why you act like an asshole where some random guy trying to help you to figure out this phenomenon? That's a wonderful way to keep people from posting here.
If you are so smart, why you asked this question, and not figuring out by yourself. OMG people nowadays.

A final important note is that blocks themselves are bounded in size. Each block has a target size of 15 million gas but the size of blocks will increase or decrease in accordance with network demands, up until the block limit of 30 milion gas (2x target block size). The total amount of gas expended by all transactions in the block must be less than the block gas limit. This is important because it ensures that blocks can’t be arbitrarily large. If blocks could be arbitrarily large, then less performant full nodes would gradually stop being able to keep up with the network due to space and speed requirements.

You are looking at the wrong metric smartass...

1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 26, 2021, 12:59:46 PM
Probably it's not because of how many tx, but the computation power, thus you can have blocks near empty but they are resource hungry and congest the network.*

*It's only based on my common sense, it's like token transfer needs more gas than moving ETH, so probably minting and moving NFTs also require more gas.
1940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be Careful Sharing The QR Code Of Your Wallet Too on: August 26, 2021, 12:31:29 PM
You have heard about never share your private key or recovery phrase but sharing qr codes is as dangerous.
It depends on what kind of QR codes. If it only contains your (public) address, I think it's safe. But there are private QR codes that you should keep it for yourself, such as, private keys and websites sync which is quite popular for login from phone apps, or vice versa. Binance, Okex, and other popular exchanges also use this method, so keep it (the qr code) secret.

Anyway, thanks for mentioning this so that newbies won't fall to scams.
