1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bots and fake accounts in Telegram channels on: August 17, 2021, 11:28:46 PM
Lately the number of fake accounts and bots is rising in Telegram groups.
Because there are too many services offer now on how to add a Telegram bot member on a group or a channel and so far, I didn't find any services that identify a bot in a telegram group or channel.  That is probably a reason that Telegram is a house of scammers and fraudsters because it is easy to fake even a member of a group/channel.

However, this isn't related to your question but I found it an interesting topic on Reddit.  A Telegram bot that can able to show which telegram groups a person is member of.
1942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Youtube Scam? on: August 17, 2021, 10:51:01 PM
I assume the scam here is you then contact that persons whatsapp or phone or telegram, then they ask you for money... then you get scammed?
It's very common nowadays, it's also on FaceBook and almost every day I got a message on my spam inbox offering their services something like investment or trading that they were trying to help you to make money.  Imagine, if they can able to make money through trading and investing, why not they can't do for themselves for their own benefits right?  We should be careful dealing with unknown people on the internet, for sure they had hidden evil agendas just to take advantage of someone who will fall into their trap.

If we saw like this that obviously scam, we can report which social media platform they are.  Like on Youtube, there's a report button there, just simply click report and let Youtube's staff will handle it.  Most likely if there are a few reports, they will be deleted.
1943  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What time frame do you use when day trading to set your support and resistance? on: August 17, 2021, 03:38:34 PM
Let me ask first this question before I will answer your question.

  • How long do you want to stay in the market?
  • How much time do you want to spend per day as a day trader?

The higher time frame means low risk and less pressure of analyzing (4h might be good enough and take a minute to analyze) while you have a job and you only have time at night, while the low time frame which is if you can spend more time setting in front in your computer and it could be gain more experience faster in trading which is every trader wants to make successful in trading.

I can't be able to participate in day trading since I have work daily, therefore, I suggest you choose a low time frame like 5 minutes down to 1m to set your support and resistance, it will boost and enhance your experience in trading.
1944  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your first choice of a bitcoin wallet? on: August 17, 2021, 02:46:26 PM
A paper wallet if you really want to skimp on spending and want it to be safe maybe?
It's a crucial step in making a paper wallet for a newbie, I will not recommend this if you're a rookie because most likely there's a possible error that could lead to your fund will be lost.  Much better if OP uses an Electrum wallet that can prefer as an airgap Bitcoin wallet if you really want a cold storage wallet, it's offline and very safe to anyone, because, for me, anything online will most likely be there's the potential to be hacked.

Actually, there are too many various kinds of single Bitcoin wallets online that you can free to use, but only Electrum wallet has a good feature that I prefer to use.  It should be,
  • Open Source
  • Support Lightning Network
  • Can able to RBF
  • Can work offline
  • Support SegWit
  • It's totally free

IF that is a big and huge amount, Hardware wallets are the best for you.

Thank you for sharing this link in your thread, I have zero ideas on how this project going on maybe because I don't have interest from the start.

They're very trending now on social media and also they're everywhere on my Facebook page, I read in the content that mining on your mobile phone to earn cryptocurrency (which they claim it's crypto) but I don't believe that the smartphone has a capability to mine more cryptocurrency that's blockchain-based crypto, but the thread that linked above showed, there's no trace about them which means they don't have a real product.

IDK the real agenda with this project, but isn't worth trying to risk your personal information as to their KYC before you can mine.  The referral affiliate program makes them become hype and they're now on social media.
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gwei: How much at least? on: August 16, 2021, 11:59:22 PM
Although I'm dissatisfied currently with the gwei of Ethereum. But the OP has a higher price for its gwei way back a few months ago.

Well, can say that the current gwei is much cheaper but this isn't what we're expecting. It should be cheaper then and let's see if within the upcoming weeks, there will be changes.
I've also waited for that opportunity that the ETH gas fee will lower at least below $7, I have a token that I want to sell but I can't transfer it to the exchange because of the high gas fee.

I just currently monitoring the fees because of this, I just wanted to know if how much the lower fees were dropped during this month or the last month.  Is there a chance that the gas fee will reduce down to even $4?  It's quite frustrating to see that the transaction was always like this, I can't able to make a transaction because currently, it reached $14 for the minimum fee.

1948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many consecutive looses can you handle in trading? on: August 16, 2021, 10:59:31 PM
HOW MANY CONSECUTIVE LOOSES IN TRADING CAN YOU HANDLE BEFORE YOU ACCEPT THAT YOUR CURRENT TRADING STRATEGY IS BECOMING LESS EFFECTIVE?
It could be 2-3, there's no reason you if exceed on that range since you already know that you have already a failure within consecutive losses, in the first failure it serves warning should learn mistakes, second, trying to correct your mistake and in the third times, that is too much just leave it and find another one.  It's really hard to predict and make your own strategy, trial and error don't seem to work either.

There are too many strategies to try, but all of these didn't have any guarantee that you will succeed in trading.  Plus another factor is, there's no real strategy that gives assurance of gaining profit, all of them will remain predicting the market.
1949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my tokens trying to transfer USDT from binance to exmarket on: August 16, 2021, 10:51:20 PM
the wallet you pasted didn't show ant recent transactions & the tx ID also didn't bring up any result, so m afraid you may have lost your USDT.
There is.

If the Exmarket exchange platform will refuse to recover your USDC to their wallet, there's nothing you can do is to accept your loss and sorry for that.
Try to approach them again and try to tell them that you are willing to pay just to resolve this case and get your USDC.

I saw your coin was still there and it will be stuck forever there if there are any changes to get it.  Next time you should be careful and keep in mind that the ERC20 and  BEP20, since it was pegged by the Binance network, should be on the BEP20 supported wallet.
1950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not be able to stay above 45k for ten days in a row ever again. on: August 15, 2021, 11:59:24 PM
I checked all your threads and it's quite interesting to me.

We are waving on bullish ahead and I believed this thread and Bitcoin price should move forward after 10 days or this is so far, 4-5 days will might Bitcoin price move again in a bullish direction.  Though we saw that there's a small correction but in just a matter of time, it will always have resistance.

"Beer" months expecting the price will rise so that holders can buy more beers when cutting their profit. Wink
1951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Strategies changes with time on: August 15, 2021, 11:39:10 PM
One reason is just that the market price is unpredictable and there are no strategies and analyses that can give accurate results upon predicting the price.
However, you can use these tools to have support your forecast but it doesn't mean it will give full accuracy.

We should know this from the start, trading isn't just an easy way of making money.  Even expert traders have also encountered losses even how good they are in technical or even fundamental analysis.  You can use different techniques and strategies in trading but make sure that only the amount that you can afford.  This isn't a trial and error, it will always involve money.
1952  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading's best coin on: August 15, 2021, 11:13:17 PM
First, bear in mind that trading and investing cryptocurrencies is a high-yield but high-risk because of the volatile price and it could be crucial for us to explore without a knowledge and that is why it's highly recommended to always be knowledgeable enough before putting your money on crypto.

There's no the best coin ever aside from Bitcoin, this is the most leading coin in the crypto space if you asked me which is the best one, Bitcoin is considered as best.  However, if you really want to explore altcoins choose always those in a top rank or high in the market cap so that the coin will not possibly be manipulated that commonly use in a pump and dump group to fall naive people to their trap.

DYOR as always I can advise and don't rely upon suggestions of others.
1953  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HELP for MEW wallet on android on: August 15, 2021, 10:47:35 PM
you need to secure first your private key or your seed phrase/ or you can send it to your email/Yahoo to be secured because it is very helpful to you to recover your wallet.
You should never do that and never encourage others to do it. Storing your private keys/seeds online (emails, cloud storage...) isn't any different from storing your coins on exchanges/web wallets, actually, it's even worse.
The best way to keep your pk/seeds safe is either by storing them digitally on an air-gapped device or physically by simply writing it down on a piece of paper and hide it in a safe place.
Exactly, because everything online can be hackable and email accounts are prone to compromise by hackers, so it's not advisable to store your seed phrase and password there.  But instead, store it offline that is safe from any disaster that possibly comes.

Regarding the OP problem, I think there's nothing we can do if OP didn't back up the seed phrase, reformat means it will clean up all files on your phone especially if that is a hard reset of your phone, it wiped it all and nothing left aside from factory default.  We should be responsible for keeping our wallet credentials and treat this as valuable stuff, digital currency is very crucial to hold and any time it can be lost.
1954  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: issue "operation not valid with the current stack size" on: August 15, 2021, 04:03:04 PM
I tend to agree with the post above mine, it's better to share your signrawtransaction if you don't mind so that members will try to figure out your problem and make sure you're decoding the right TX.  If this staff member @achow101 will respond in your thread, I know he/she explained very well, I saw before it seems he is very expert on this.

Just like on this thread, it seems familiar to your issue and it might help.

1955  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: making fake HW wallets(will we see this scam next)?? on: August 15, 2021, 03:25:37 PM
I don't see that there's a scam next if someone making their own fake HW wallets.  If there is, that's a noob or innocent one that is new to the crypto world or considerable as a lazy one because it doesn't even have their own research regarding the no-brand wallet use.

Let say if they(scammer) modify the HW wallets and you bought it from the unofficial distributor store, I think the reset button is enough in the first place to secure your wallet and the hacker has nothing to do because it will generate another seed phrase and address.

All I see on this matter, it's unrealistic to happen.  No one will risk their crypto assets from an unknown source of HW wallets.
1956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin as a local currency! on: August 15, 2021, 02:57:39 PM
Everyone on the forum knows what Bitcoin is. We already know that many countries have removed this currency from the ban. I mean, will all the nations of the world use Bitcoin as a currency?
Look at this, Legality of bitcoin by country or territory.
There are some countries Bitcoin is legal but the banking ban and its worst most of them are totally banned which is illegal and lucky those countries was implemented legal tender.  Now, if the banking system banning Bitcoin, how could the nation use Bitcoin as one currency.  Probably time will come, those countries that banned Bitcoin will someday realize how it will useful to society, or until such day they will realize that most of their people using it and no one can stop.

Quote
How important will it be? It will not go to the good side to the bad side?I want to know the opinion-
The fact is, most cryptos of those enthusiasts realized that keeping Bitcoin to store value is much more important than using this as a currency to pay online.  They are hoarding this and waiting at the right time to gain profit.
1957  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Has your bank or credit card told you they will stop you buying crypto? on: August 14, 2021, 11:15:13 PM
Since the start, we know that the Banking institution always fighting in a war of fraud and different cybercriminals that most commonly use are cryptocurrencies.  But this is a case-to-case basis and depends if where you live because each country's governments had their own perspective view about cryptocurrency, some of them become legal tender while others become neutral.

There are too many options upon buying cryptocurrencies if your banks are against it and if you want not to link your credit card as a crypto buyer.  You can use P2P exchanges which totally safe and there's no trace if you buy Bitcoin.  It's a decentralized platform that gives security to both individual transactions.

1958  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I wish i knew about Bitcoin before now on: August 14, 2021, 10:41:49 PM
How I wish I knew about Bitcoin before now, before my previous discovery about  the existence of Bitcoin and Blockchain interface which seems late to me. If I had known about Bitcoin during it's early stage, I don't think I will be in the same level that I am now. sometimes I do imagine the net worth of people that had stored Bitcoin in there fortfolios since the early stage of Bitcoin existence till now that the price had gone really far from the dip. I will not ague/blame those of us that are just investing in Bitcoin as a late comer and I know that many are still going to concur to Bitcoin existance.and adoption later soon.
You're not late mate, if you believe in Bitcoin existence, you can still have a profit when the price goes up.  For example, we're now at the current price of $47k at the crypto market, if you will invest at this moment and wait for how many years or after a year, the price could be double or triple from the price where you have bought, it could be $100k or more than that.  Unfortunately, Bitcoin didn't have promises like this, it all depends on the demand and supply that becomes Bitcoin more expensive in years passed.

Quote
With this step I've taken to invest more of my funds in Bitcoin I hope and believe that I'm going to benefit more like the early adopters who believed in Bitcoin. I just hope the market can reset so I can buy more from a good price. How I wish Bitcoin antagonists could understand what they're missing from the internet gold.
Lucky for them but I think most of them that actively monitoring their portfolio have been sold their Bitcoin, IDK if there's someone who holds from the early stage until at this moment.  Reset is impossible to happen, the Bitcoin system has its own protocol that no one could change, the price was based on us, holders.  The more who accumulate it becomes the price fly high.
1959  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New to the forum and to Trading crypto. I’m looking to start trading on margin. on: August 12, 2021, 05:00:30 PM
I have accounts with Binance, Kraken, and KuCoin where I hold several crypto’s. Just wanted a crash course, so to speak, on how people in the US are able to trade on margin, and also recommendations on which exchange is the best to use and why.
If you're using Binance exchange make sure it is on Binance.us but I think this platform has a margin trading.
I heard Kraken and Coinbase pro are good exchanges in the US but it has a light restriction that must be found of the Term of use.  This is very important because the margin or trading of CFDs is generally prohibited.

Kraken
  • Min investment- $20
  • Initial margin- 20%

Coinbase Pro
  • Min investment- 0.001 Bitcoin
  • Initial margin- 33.33%

My source is here, read furthermore for more details.
1960  Economy / Reputation / Re: Red Trust Signature Campaign on: August 12, 2021, 04:07:43 PM
It seems to me that forum members who get involved in these campaigns don't care about personal reputation and negative trust at all.
Whether they are really so desparate for that earnings or have more profiles on this forum so they don't care, I really don't know.
Maybe some newbie members are really uninformed and don't understand the consequences of getting a negative trust on this forum.
Just because all that accounts who participated in scam signature campaign that now actively promoting are throw accounts that has different mistakes before and got a negative tag on their profile.  They can't join in a legitimate signature campaign because of the negative tag and since this forum doesn't moderate scams, there's nothing we can do is to let them be, soon they will disappear and the negative tag and the red flag was a great feature so that we can easily spot them and their thread has warned of scam.

Newbies should do their diligence before using a site, scam accusation, reputation, and also this section was a section to spot tremendous scam services on this forum.  I think this thread also considering this section so that also newbies who visit don't know where is reputation and scam accusation boards are also aware.
