1081  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Trading job on: July 02, 2022, 11:22:47 PM
I think this discussion would be appropriate on the "Project Development" board since you're looking for a business partner for your project.

oh great! another trader with prophetic visions who can "find every dip and each top" for you... Let's be honest here, if you really can, you wouldn't be here posting this.
I tend to agree with this and that's a good suggestion.
First, OP should prove his legitimacy but the problem is OP isn't trusted yet.  TBH, there are a lot of discussions here the same as OP, asking and looking for a business partner but the problem is how you'll trust them.  I think that's a big problem that you might consider first in the first place.
1082  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Beware]New scammer scheme using exchange on: July 02, 2022, 10:59:46 PM
They'd level up now. Cheesy

I freshly remember the same scenario in your case but the difference is when it comes to withdrawal.  In the same procedure, someone asked me to create an account because he can't access the exchange site due to the country's restrictions, and then, without hesitation, he transfer all his funds to my account, and now when he said just withdraw it and transfer to his Bitcoin wallet, the exchange platform asked me to deposit half of the amount that I wanted to withdraw which is very suspicious.

That was on Telegram, we should better avoid dealing with strangers on Telegram.
BTW, thank you for the awareness and we hope this could be a lesson for those people who are greedy, they thought they will get easy money but it's the opposite, it will drain their entire wallets once they will be scammed.
1083  Economy / Speculation / Re: Q2 Bitcoin Close -56% on: July 01, 2022, 11:59:48 PM
Sorry but I didn't follow your Q2 Bitcoin prediction, can link it down here?

For Q3, I didn't see any sign of a green market, it could be the price will drop more because of the global recession, and not only crypto was experiencing this but also the stock market.  But I'm hoping that I have a wrong interpretation of the market condition, the market is still unpredictable and it could be every now and then the market will flip up and it could be the bull market will begin.

All I can say, there's a struggle that the market has nowadays and it will not recover during this year, it could be next year I guess.
1084  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You can avoid most scams by simply keeping your private key/seed to yourself on: July 01, 2022, 11:55:08 PM
You can avoid most of such scam attempts by simply keeping your wallet's private key and seed phrase to yourself.
No, this isn't enough that has a guarantee that you'll not scam.
If you remember back then 2018, the Electrum wallet server has been a leak and it was infected by identical phishing which when you open your Electrum app it will pop up the update link which content phishing link that directly uses a scammer wallet address and that incident stole estimated 200 Bitcoin.

You need more careful in handling your private key and properly using them, hardware wallets could be safer than other wallets.
It's very crucial if you will save them online, so it must always be offline and be vigilant always.
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador Purchase More Bitcoin At $19,000 Each on: July 01, 2022, 11:42:49 PM
"Thank you for selling cheap"!
This is how the whale speaks and they'll laugh when someone selling at a cheap price.

It's good to hear that they continued to support Bitcoin even though the price was dropped too much, I'm thinking before might they be disappointed with the current market correction but look at now, it seems they encourage everyone to invest while it's cheap.
If they don't, why it was posted on Twitter?
1086  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: June 28, 2022, 11:58:14 PM
People are waiting to buy lower, but what if you're wrong and this is the bottom?

You never know what's going to happen next.
That's exactly the fact in the crypto world, everything is unpredictable and no one really knows what's will gonna happen.
We really don't know the bottom price in the market, but I'm sure we're in a massive correction, and anytime Bitcoin price will plunge and give everyone a good profit those patiently waiting.

That is why I personally prefer to do DCA or buy Bitcoin by average at certain rate drops.
I tend to agree with this and this is what I usually advise people when someone wanted to invest in Bitcoin but didn't know where's the bottom price.
Purchase Bitcoin in a DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) way, this is a very safe way of purchasing Bitcoin while waiting to resist.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is buying Panda Elon a good move during this bear market? on: June 28, 2022, 11:41:09 PM
I don't know if investors didn't learn from those previous meme coins that give nothing return to them.
Now, here it comes another nonsense token again, what did you expect from this coin?
But if you really wanted to try just give it a shot that only you can afford but don't expect too much because it might you have a profit or it will lose your capital.  Investing in meme coins seems to gamble for me, you gamble on it because the trend is based on the hype not on utility.

So the decision is still yours.
1088  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fear of losing my coins grabbed me by neck on: June 28, 2022, 11:23:06 PM
Though I know that possible hacking and malware infection in mobile wallet apps but fortunately, I've never experienced it in how many years using an android mobile phone.  But you shouldn't create your wallet on your mobile phone in the first place, upon creation finds a device that is rarely used on the internet, a laptop would be better to create a wallet through Electrum.

But if that's a big amount that you've wanted to store in a long run, it would be better if you have to spend a little amount to buy a hardware wallet which is pretty safe.  Don't risk your investment and might you'll regret it in the future.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another "Bitcoin Is Here To Stay" Thread 😁. on: June 28, 2022, 10:58:22 PM
It's a part of the evolution that leads us to progress and have innovation.

I have heard different stories before from my parents, there's no internet at that time even sending a letter could take a week before it will arrive at the receiver.  But now through the help of technology and the internet, everything is just in one click on the internet using our device.  Even sending money is very easy today not like before when there was the internet and that's why Bitcoin was also created here to alternate the traditional financial system.

Trivia;
The internet was discovered on January 1, 1983, and has communication online.
1090  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com issue on: June 28, 2022, 03:00:11 PM

Since your problem with your old phone is the charging pin/port why not disassemble the unit there are some guides on youtube on how to disassemble the unit and try to fix the charging port replacing it actually is very cheap it's around 10 cents but if it's iPhone charging port is around $2 I guess.
After you fix the phone maybe you can still able to access it with your old phone like someone said to me before that you can only access it with the same device where you created your wallet.
Nice suggestion.
If I am unable to find the problem, then I will just take out the battery, and charge it externally. Once it's charged, I will extract and delete important data. Then give it to some service center for repair.
I think the best thing that you can do is to fix first your mobile phone.
Find a technician that can repair your mobile phone at home and you should be there.  Charging pin/port is very easy to fix for them and once you will recover your phone, you can transfer it to an open-source wallet or replace the battery with the fully charged one so that you can access your wallet.

I will definitely report this issue to them.
You're lucky enough if there's CS will answer you quickly, it might you will wait for weeks or it worst for months for that.  We've heard a lot of complaints here about their problem, lack of customer support.

I suggest you once your account wallet were covered, just transfer it your assets quickly and it's better not to use this as your wallet.
1091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculators : Bitcoins is up now 21k buy buy buy ! but... on: June 27, 2022, 11:59:24 PM
Speculators : "Bitcoins is up now 21k buy buy buy ! yeah 100k coming soon  "....but it was 47k this March and 61k in 2021 ... so how the ..f..uck is bitcoin a winner ?

The only guys that won are speculators/traders that pumped and dumped and miners, the rest got wiped out ...

It starting to feel that "Bitcoin game" is a scam ...a big ponzi ...
Bitcoin is something we can not be excited for it price, because of the dimensions it takes for price speculation, we were expecting a bullish market that will get up to seventy thousand to hundred thousand (70k) to (100k) but nature of market retrace. So our expectations for Bitcoin to that particular prediction of yours should be next year.
There are a hundred or thousands of people who feel regret when they didn't invest in Bitcoin while it was cheap in the market from 2015 onwards.
Because they doubted it and suspected it of a scam, Ponzi, or what so ever relatively fraud project.
But in the year 2017 when Bitcoin is on ATH, everyone talking about it regretted they didn't invest while it was cheap, and might OP feel this way.

Just understand the possible risk and invest only in what you can afford are the common advice that you've heard but it's very effective.
1092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful ! 4500 Bitcoins has send to coinbase pro on: June 27, 2022, 11:47:22 PM
Don't worry too much because that 4,500 Bitcoin is nothing if you'll compare it to other transactions that were in and out in popular exchanges.

There are more huge Bitcoin transfers from exchange to unknown wallets or vice versa than the larger amount you posted.
Follow the Whale Alert Twitter account and you will find out more Bitcoin transfers.  Recently transferred, 6,002 Bitcoin to Gemini exchange from an unknown wallet.

Just stay calm, though Bitcoin has struggled on pumping the price, at the end of the day, there will be another ATH again.
1093  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When to take profit? on: June 27, 2022, 11:35:02 PM
I am thinking of taking out my initial investment when I double my money and just leaving the profit to see what returns I can get long term. Is that a common way or is it best to just take small amounts at a time?
If that will be enough for your needs then go for it, because IMO, I only take profit when I needed it most and I think only dumb investors who sell at a lower price.  The important thing is you've satisfied the profit that you have, if your goal profit was achieved, then that's the time to take your profit out and reinvest when the market decline again.

It sounds greedy to me if you're seeking more profit to come.
However, that's not a big deal but it should be you must be contented with what you'd have.

I would prefer to hold it for a long term and wait for a bull run or even when another ATH will come.
1094  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: information about crypto price on: June 27, 2022, 03:14:28 PM
It's just because the price varies for these reasons on different crypto exchanges and that's what they called, trading arbitrage which all the above comments are true.
  • very first the liquidity
  • demand and supply
  • Fees

Even when you're looking at the crypto price on CMC, how can you be sure that the results are exactly accurate?
They have different results because they calculate it based on the last traded price in the most prominent crypto exchanges which they got different results on different exchanges.
1095  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: June 27, 2022, 02:26:29 PM
No one really knows about the market movement, this was still a puzzle in our minds when the Bitcoin price leads.
But only fool people who will sell their Bitcoin under the price where they purchased, just keep holding until your profit was there because the market has a chance to resist and might at this moment there was still a barrier to pump the price.

Stick on Bitcoin instead in altcoins, altcoins will follow on Bitcoin price movement and that's proven and tested in crypto space.
Hodlers will receive a better prize when they have their patience, wait for the bull market.
1096  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How trading during bear market can save your portfolio on: June 26, 2022, 11:31:02 PM
I did some trading stunt recently that made me to marvel. And am beginning to see my trading skills as a force to reckon with, i studied the market during last last 2 years and have realised that floating with the market can earn you good profits that you can imagine. Take for example if you bought Bitcoin when the price dropped to 19k by now you will be making 30% profits so here is my strategy i hold alot of ustd>buy during the dip sell buy buy and buy again since am holding large ustd.
The market is unpredictable and you don't know when to enter to make a profit.
What if the market continues declining?  What's your possible move on this?
It's easy to say, buy the dip and sell when the price is up but the problem is there's no perfect prediction when the exact time frame of this, that's I advise people to buy Bitcoin through DCA way (Dollar-Cost Averaging), it's a safe method of investing Bitcoin while in a bearish trend.

You've studied the market for two years for sure you know how it will work when it comes to price movement, when there's a dip, it's quickly recover so possible you'll make profit on it.
1097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Swapping Bitcoin for "stablecoin": Smart move or disloyalty? on: June 26, 2022, 10:58:35 PM
Do you think swapping your BTC for stablecoin makes you are solution to Bitcoin bearish run or a contributor to the challenge?
Not a solution to a bearish market but you can escape the possible massive loss of value of a dollar in your Bitcoin holding.
That's what we call, "diversifying asset" smart move should must in crypto because this is very volatile and very risky but if you're not sure of what you're doing, better to remain to hold your Bitcoin than diversifying it.

Do you fell that wishing or believing that the price of BTC should fall below $10,000 makes you a real fan of Bitcoin?
I'm a holder so I wish Bitcoin would pump up and if you're investors, of course, you will wish that there's a bottom of $10k.

1098  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Access to BPIP is problematic. on: June 26, 2022, 03:12:27 PM
Just curious, how much it will cost for renewing SSL?
It's very helpful to us on this site and I hope it too this will be resolved soon.

It's a free certificate and apparently we're getting what we're paying for.

I'm on it.

Edit: should be ok now.

I guess I need to go old school with it and put it on my calendar to renew it. Scheduled task keeps failing for some unclear reason.
Thank you for enlightening me, glad to know it.

Confirmed, it's accessible now.  And also, the Bpip chrome extension working smoothly and fine ATM.

Thank you.
1099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin was exist in world Financial crisis of 2007–2008? on: June 26, 2022, 03:07:38 PM
the financial crises would still have happened. bitcoin is not meant to replace fiat. but it would have helped people have another financial escape away from fiat to store wealth
I tend to agree with the bolded part above, remember that this wasn't a goal by the creator of Bitcoin and it wasn't created to fix crises even if it's existed during a recession or during a financial crisis.  Instead, it was created to make people have a choice regarding privacy and have freedom over the traditional banking system.  This wrong perception of Bitcoin should stop that Bitcoin was the answer to the world financial crisis.

If Bitcoin does really exist during there's a recession that year, it might be you're a very rich person right now because you're storing the value of Bitcoin
1100  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Access to BPIP is problematic. on: June 26, 2022, 02:21:27 PM
The reason also why Bpip chrome extension doesn't work for me now and I wonder upon opening my account there's no Bpip rank under on my profile.

In addition above, yeah the validation of their certificate was expired based on xolphin.com/sslchecker.
Validity

Valid from 2022-03-28
Valid to 2022-06-26

Looks like the SSL certificate expired, so we'll need to get it renewed..
Thank you, very helpful, hope it will be resolved quickly.
