1021  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 02, 2022, 11:10:06 PM
It's sad what I have noticed to all new investors in Bitcoin because when the price drops, they will not invest or no one will invest.  But when the price started to grow up and if they notice that the bull run will come, there's a lot of talking to it and start to invest.  That's why when Bitcoin dropped the price, it's always been a struggle to spike back because of this behavior that I've noticed.

For those wise investors who invest through DCA way upon buying Bitcoin, it seems this idea is playing safe and it could be the best way if you invest for the purpose of holding it in the long term.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow fiat with your Bitcoin and never sell on: August 01, 2022, 11:59:27 PM
Have any of you heard of “Buy, Borrow, Die”? It’s what billionaires do, and it’s why they never pay taxes. If more Bitcoiners followed this strategy, the price of Bitcoin would also rise because we would have more holders.
I get you and this is how I love how Robert Kiyosaki inspired people about debt and taxes and it might it's good if you watch this short clip of him.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vZv-7NqI3NM

This man I most admire, it's sure you've learned a lot with him and I think this idea is also good to apply if you want to invest in Bitcoin and aim for a target range time so that you can get paid the interest.

Your idea seems good, but make sure you can handle it very well.  There should be a game plan.
1023  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why People Use Bitcointalk on: August 01, 2022, 11:32:28 PM
Almost From Seven Month i use Bitcointalk Forum. I see that have many Forum same like Bitcointalk. For Example, Cryptotalk, Altcointalk, Bitcoingarden etc Forum. But Why People Always like and Use This Bitcointalk Forum.
The legendary history of this forum might the reason why crypto enthusiasts were here including me.
The genius man or a group who created Bitcoin and also the creator of this forum Satoshi Nakamoto, you will find all his previous posts here in this forum and histories that we will never forget in crypto were also found here.

So that's it, it might that's the reason why people keep choosing Bitcointalk.org because its previous history that might catch interest them, unlike other forums which earlier found than Bitcointalk.org.

Another factor could be, that there are a lot of good and informative topics that surely a reader easy for them to understand.

1025  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Macroeconomic Situation of BTC on: July 31, 2022, 11:40:25 PM
These type of people won't buy bitcoin when the price is at all time low. But this same population will buy once they see an upward trend.
Exactly, I have witnessed this when there's a new ATH and if you compared when there's a bear market trend.
When the price reached a new ATH, a lot of people talked about Bitcoin, others blamed themselves why they didn't invest while the price is very low or while have corrections.  The reason also why Bitcoin price struggled to pump up during the bear market trend is because the FOMO continued spreading which commonly happens to new investors who are always afraid to have a loss.

There are too many factors behind this bear market not only this macroeconomics situation or we're just a bear market cycle which makes the Bitcoin price struggle to pump up, otherwise, but it's also because it's normal for Bitcoin to pump and dump because of it's nature of volatility.
1026  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Competition for the best slogan for Betnomi / Prize $100 in BTC! on: July 31, 2022, 11:25:35 PM
It's quite tough this competition upon reading those who posted earlier, just to make sure there's no the same entry.

Here's mine.

1027  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is crypto going up after the news of being in a recession? on: July 31, 2022, 10:58:32 PM
Do you guys Believe in this pump or is it just temporary until another leg down?
I personally am not sure so I'm just slowly  DCAing  in to my favourite projects.
You already answered your question here.
No one can tell us what's the perfect movement of the Bitcoin price, it's remained unpredictable and no one knows in the future.

Stick to Bitcoin and that's right, you're on the right path investing Bitcoin in a DCA way, you can minimize your losses through this method.

Speaking about recession, that's a different story here but sometimes these fundamental reports really have an impact on the price and it could be Bitcoin is a safe place against recession.
1028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your ideas about bitcoin adoption in the future? on: July 31, 2022, 10:49:53 PM
But the truth is Bitcoin adoption as of now not as a means of payment, Bitcoin adoption is storing the value that holders can make a profit in a certain time.
I doubt this becomes crucial now, when those big holders drop their bags and sell all their Bitcoin have, it will surely have an impact on the market which dropping the price.

However, the awareness has continued to spread and there are some stores now accepting Bitcoin, recently the US added more Bitcoin ATMs which means the demand of the buyers has been there.  So I expect that there are massive Bitcoin adoption in the future, in fact, we have a few countries has been starting Bitcoin makes a legal tender.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good and adequate staking platforms on: July 31, 2022, 03:32:02 PM
What good and adequate staking platforms do you know? Exchanges as staking platforms have shown themselves to be the worst, constantly changing even the fixed staking rates. Convinced by my own experience.
I am curious. How?
Worst is such a word that would describe it is doubtful at a highest level. But I want to know the reasons behind it.
Is it that bad even at a best possible exchange?
Sorry but I am against it, I don't see a better platform where a stake could be done. A reputable exchange is always where I run into with this kind of setting.
But I do agree that we should have better options. It should not be an exchange all the time.
I tend to agree with the bolded part above and that's why until now I didn't try staking even others tell me that they have earned on it.
The reason is that I didn't see any potential crypto exchange platform to trust my fund in a long run, all of them are CEXs and we know from time to time they'd have a right to change the terms, or worst, they will become bankrupt and shutdown.

This is what is also in my mind "Not your keys, Not your coins" which is staking you didn't hold your wallet key, it's on exchange.
Sorry OP but I didn't see any good and adequate staking exchange platform.
1030  Economy / Exchanges / Re: High withdraw fee rates by binance etc, Why?! on: July 31, 2022, 03:19:12 PM
Or use a different exchange
This, exactly. I don't want to swap my valuable bitcoin for some useless, centralized and insecure altcoin just because the exchange is ripping me off. Much better to find a more honest exchange.
There's nothing we can do if we're a trader, not a holder (we need an exchange platform to trade).  Just accept the fact that CEXs sometimes played a dirty way (not only Binance), because business is just a business for them.  Almost all crypto exchangers are the same as Binance exchange because this was the fact, it's a way they generate a profit, it's from the fees which one of their sources.

On this BEST Crypto Exchange Fee Comparison, it seems Binance really has a huge fee with a 3.5% withdrawal fee and I saw FTX exchange platform which is all are low fees and most of them are 0%.
Choosing the right exchange sometimes it's a very crucial part.
1031  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here is why they say to store your seed "offline" on: July 30, 2022, 11:32:31 PM
Any valuable data is a crucial component when storing it online.
That's why those seed phrases or any information that can be leaked to your valuable belongings shouldn't store in the cloud or any online storage provider to avoid such possible consequences of scam.  It should be on a piece of paper and kept in your closet or much better a safety vault.

Good thing that the Amazon cloud services provider announced this which is they also care about their reputation and I think 18 months is enough time for users to retrieve their files and important data out of that cloud service.
1032  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2017 : 20,000$ - Bitcoin 2022 : 20,000$ on: July 26, 2022, 11:59:29 PM
Think Bitcoin has lost its bullish momentum? It feels like now continuing to hold BTC is pointless ...
Just add some trust to it and you will admire holding Bitcoin.
This was I am before, I didn't trust Bitcoin but every time Bitcoin reached the ATH price, I always regret and blame myself for not investing while at the dipped price.  But now, I've learned, that holding while waiting for another ATH is worth it, and when a bull trend comes it will surely give profit or as a reward.

I tend to agree with the advice above, buying Bitcoin in a DCA way will help you to determine your loss.
Try to look out the market price chart history, it will always end up having an All-time high Bitcoin price even though there's a long period of a bear market.
1033  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Steps to owning sats on: July 26, 2022, 11:54:55 PM
We have already similar on this thread created by @GreatArkansas before, [Did you know?] Bitcoin Table of Units.

I didn't know also before that there's the smallest fraction aside from satoshi and I thought it was the smallest fraction.
Sometimes reading fractions made us confused about the real amount of Bitcoin.
1034  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you guys think is the best crypto signals group on Telegram? on: July 26, 2022, 11:42:18 PM
What do you guys think is the best crypto signals group on Telegram?
You can use them as one of your references in trading but when you call them the best trading signal isn't that right.  You can't rely upon them with your trading activities because they won't give assurance to have an accurate prediction in trading.  Sometimes, there's something fishy in the Telegram group, they usually called pump and dump group which is you should be avoided because that will only create a trap for all users and only the organizer will make more money that the subscribers.

Do your research instead of asking any telegram group or you can use as a preference as I said above.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to be a blockchain based developer ?? on: July 25, 2022, 11:56:55 PM
One place I know that have some zero to hero blockchain developer courses is Udemy, courses on Udemy are for sale, and I must let you know that some of the courses can be quite expensive, but I can assure you that if you get a good blockchain developer course and follow it diligently, you will actualize your dream of becoming a good blockchain developer.
I don't know how long OP will take this becomes a hero coder from a scratch but if OP is willing to learn about coding might possible in a shorter time because there's no shortcut to it, you need to take online courses like Udemy, watch video tutorials on Youtube or even read books and ebooks.  Use tools that make it easy to learn.

Understanding Bitcoin is very easy but when it talks into coding might be difficult and I didn't even try it myself. Cheesy

Well, good luck OP, hope you'll come back here and tell us about what you've learned.
1036  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recovering Old Username on: July 25, 2022, 11:32:55 PM
Thanks for everyone's help.

I think I tried to recover this once a long time ago, and the recovery rules may be based on my attempt. If anyone can provide me with Theymos' contact details or if Theymos can be shown this thread, I would be very happy, but I think I did this once before. I emailed Theymos proof of my ownership of a very old account, if he can see previous passwords used in account creation from the original forum.

Thanks
Try your luck to send a private message theymos regarding this matter, only admin or mods will help you out with this account that you've said that you wanted to recover.  Follow the link that was given above and create a thread of account recovery with the right format given.

Just a few questions, is your hacked account still active right now?  If yes, then let us know because we can temporarily leave negative feedback so that the account will not use any activities here in the forum like joining the signature campaign.

If you've staked your Bitcoin address use it's very easy to recover your account.
1037  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoin sell. price 15300$ on: July 25, 2022, 11:18:36 PM
Could you also specify the reason for selling it so cheaper than the current market rates? Also this is your first post and you are talking about lots of btc ,hope you dont end up scamming any innocent one!
Probably a scam attempt. Better for everyone to avoid this scam attempt or coin that has been used for illegally activity.
If there's someone have an interest in this I think that's dumb and greedy people who usually become prey on scammers, obviously, this is a scam attempt though it sounds funny why selling his Bitcoin at a low price.
People who want to try must use an escrow.

Hello.
I have 156 bitcoins for sale. Exchange for tether(USDT), etherum or other crypto altcoins.
Price is 15300$ for one btc. IF you want more than 10 btc - the price will be wholesale (10-12K).
PM or let me know when interested.
If you really have this number of coins (which is impossible to believe) just sell them in p2p exchange which you can lower the price as you want, you can cover your ass if you want privacy and for sure it's a matter of a minute everything you have will be sold it out.

1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Discussion] Our Successor in Bitcoin Forum on: July 25, 2022, 11:01:25 PM
Bitcoin is clear evidence of an innovation created to make it easier for humans to deal with transactions in the digital sector.
The convenience that exists in Bitcoin is able to lure many people to make it a future digital currency asset.
This is very common now that Bitcoin becomes a digital asset than the digital currency which the creator wanted to have.
More people keeping the value of Bitcoin than spending it as a digital currency, time will come for to Bitcoin will become so expensive if a lot of people hoard it to store value.

Have we ever thought on the sidelines of our minds being bored while in front of a computer/laptop/android and so on, who will continue our activities in this forum?
No, I didn't feel bored because I'm here when there was my vacant time and this isn't my priority, we have a job and businesses outside that we must to prior and this forum is our second place when we want relaxation while gaining information to educate ourselves further in Bitcoin learning.
Who will continue my activities?  Of course, it will stop when I will die.

Quote
If our answer is children, can they be as consistent as we expect? Are they able to divide the time between formal education and time learning about Bitcoin?
No one teaches us to this thing, it's our instinct to handle everything.  If we can able to handle and manage our time from here and into our outside activity, for sure they will do the same.

Can we hand over the account password and private key to access our Bitcoin wallet from now on?
Of course, why not, as you've said Bitcoin considering an asset.

1039  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Safest Exchanges in the World on: July 24, 2022, 11:29:11 PM
That's pretty bad practice if you don't want to lose in a bear market when coins are dropping then it is better to use virtual Bitcoin on PayPal for safety but the only problem is Bitcoin/other cryptos on Paypal can't be able to transfer to another wallet. However, the advantage is that you can able to exchange your Crypto back to fiat instantly. Since Paypal is a big finance company and it was here for many years Paypal is safe but the problem you don't actually holding a real Crypto.
I didn't know why you advised OP to put his money in Paypal since Paypal is a very strict company, we shouldn't trust any centralized exchange out there even though how big a company they are.  They're still prone to hacking or it becomes bankruptcy.

BTW, PayPal allows users to withdraw Bitcoin to external wallets anytime if you wanted to transfer it into your external wallet.  A hardware wallet could be the right choice because it has security features that can protect your wallet and never leave a footprint on any computers that you'll use.

CEXs IMO, should be used for trading and converting fiat to crypto or vice versa, they shouldn't be trusted on storing your coins in the long run.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 23, 2022, 11:59:47 PM
I thought after seizing the Bitcoin, authorities will automatically have an auction to sell the Bitcoin.

IMO, that's a good cause and has a reason to sell their seized Bitcoin to donate to Ukraine.  But it might have an impact on the Bitcoin price and might be the reason why Bitcoin still struggling with its price to rise.  It's a great help to Ukrainian out there.

That's how to clean dirty Bitcoin after being seized by the government and donated to the country that most needed help.
