1941  Economy / Economics / Re: Unemplyment at least 50% how world will look like then ? on: September 22, 2022, 08:37:44 PM
Unemployment at least 50% in usa at least so how THE wprld world will look like ?
Definately all prices will 80-90%down

Where do you base this random and frankly absurd figure of prices falling by 80-90%? It seems like you have a weak grasp of the economics involved for prices to fall that far. Frankly I never see unemployment falling that far unless society has radically changed and working becomes an optional pursuit. There are many theories out there like universal income which at a certain point could become a possibility, if billionaires were willing or forced to relinquish their grip at the very top. In theory a lot of the tasks we do could be automated eventually and that will free people up to do more creative tasks, as long as people get the basics like housing and food sorted then it could work.
1942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 22, 2022, 07:17:54 PM
As a long time Stake user this makes me feel concerned, I'll be withdrawing all of my funds and going elsewhere!

Interesting to see that Twitch are going to be actively banning mention of these crypto casinos in future, so it looks like streaming services are starting to see danger in associating or allow advertisement of these highly risky gambling sites. It's actually surprising that there has not been more aggressive prosecution of them advertising on sites that are heavily visited by younger children. As always, it seems like the regulators are quite far behind in dealing with the problem effectively but this does not bode well for a positive outcome for Stake.com. It is shocking to see such a high number thrown around but they could probably pay for it with a long term profit share instead of having to sell up, we see the massive amounts they can spare on advertising already.
1943  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: September 22, 2022, 07:06:29 PM
All around the different regions/parts of the world, they have the same issue that's causing mass protests. It's HIGH INFLATION, HIGH FUEL PRICES, HIGH FOOD PRICES, HIGH COSTS OF LIVING, AND LOW MINIMUM WAGE.

That's what happens if a non-elected cabal is made to have control over the money supply. Look at this list. Start researching about your country's central bank policies, read the news, and know if your country is about to have, or is currently having high inflation. Because your country could be next for a mass protest.

Inflation is a contributory factor and may even drive protests in some of the countries you listed, but there are all sorts of problems facing the world today. They can be related but it's better to look at them individually in order to tame the underlying problems - things like the war in Ukraine, which produces a massive chunk of things like wheat and much more importantly - oil & gas into Europe, which means there is less to go around. China is constantly shutting down and re-opening production in their factories due to zero Covid, again limiting all sorts of supply chains. Droughts and floods are disrupting the crop planting season. Unfortunately for poorer countries, the richer countries are often able to absorb the problems much easier.
1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money do you leave in crypto casino? on: September 22, 2022, 06:45:54 PM
Since most of the crypto casino nowadays offers free withdrawal fee on most of the cryptocurrency sometimes immediate withdrawal after the game is very convenient now but for players like me that usually play on irregular basis, I really want to leave my balance on the casino so that I can play immediately whenever I like.

I only leave money on casino balance if it’s less than 1000$ or less but this is only applicable on casino that I used for more than a year.

What about you guys? Do you leave your balance in your casino balance or you withdraw immediately regardless of the reputation of the casino?

It would really depend on what you consider disposable income, but to me leaving a thousand dollars in is far too much, I'd even consider clearing it out as it approached a hundred dollars. Everyone has different levels of betting though, if your salary is $250,000 a year and you have wads of cash lying around then it's not such an issue, but if you are on $25,000 a year then that is equivalent to two weeks worth of work. You have to consider that even if a crypto casino/sportbook is fully legit, it can be struck by all sorts of hack attacks because they are such high priority targets that can be taken down for big payoffs. They should have plenty of security but a determined hacker or even some zero day exploit could ruin it all.
1945  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto jobs make government jobs irrelevant in the near future? on: September 21, 2022, 08:23:07 PM
As more and more projects keeps unveiling in the crypto and Blockchain industry and many unemployed, self employed and employed are picking up new roles and careers in the crypto and Blockchain industry how much importance will government jobs add to the future generation many will opt you working for projects that will keep them and their earnings anonymous for life especially working as a Blockchain dev or community Manager. If we go by intense stat the crypto and Blockchain space offers more secured, privatized , decentralized and always evolving opportunities. There are thorns of jobs the crypto industry offer and here are a few of them:

I would say that technology in a much more broad and overall way will make many jobs redundant over time. We're seeing in places like supermarkets that used to have hundreds of people working in them being replaced - automated checkouts or even scan-as-you-go type devices have replaced cashiers. Eventually shelves will be stacked completely by automated systems. If you were to multiply that by the tens of thousands of large shops around the world it is an immense loss of jobs. However as long as societies resources are distributed in a fair and equitable manner it is not necessarily a waste. Some of those people freed up might go on to build their own creative outlets which become the next line of jobs for generations ahead.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: September 21, 2022, 07:35:50 PM
Today, Twitch took to their verified Twitter account to announce that they will be banning gambling streaming in their platform by October 18th this year, - this is less than a month from today.
In their announcement, they said the banned gambling sites will include stake.com, Rollbit.com, Duelbits.com, Roobet.com etc.
They said that they will identify other gambling platforms and ban them too as the move forward.

Link to the official announcement
Link to publish news: https://remitano.com/home/ng/post/105248-twitch-to-ban-crypto-gambling-livestreams-after-backlash-from-influencers

What do you guys think of this development?
According to the published article, the reason for the ban is due to backlash they(Twitch) received from influencers.

Do you think backlash received from influencers is enough reason for Twitch to ban gambling streaming on their platform?

That is a pretty big development from them and it did seem like the gambling section had exploded lately with these activities. It makes sense really because there is no skill involved in these type of platforms and the outcomes are all predefined statistically speaking. Twitch was also opening itself up to all sorts of pressure from regulators in various countries because they have such a young viewership and could potentially have been the subject of fines or more. You could tell that all of those casinos were constantly pushing the limits of what would be allowed and it's rare to find streamers who will actively admit to their privately orchestrated advertising deals.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: September 21, 2022, 07:26:12 PM
I see this that lets go to war means let us ulter the existence of certain economic progression. Apart from death of people both soldiers and the civilian, it take back the system backward from the party in the war but the effect is more on the people not in the fighting, the world at large. It is effect more on the world as it increase inflation and reduce the living of the people of the world if the countries have major contribution for the world economy.

The effect of war include rising inflation, extreme poverty, increasing food insecurity, deglobalization, and worsening environmental degradation. All the effect here are what we see in the Ukraine and Russia war, example is inflation that is affecting different country in their economy because products going out from Ukraine like wheat or corn leaving out there in small quantity and expensive. Russia is not supplying energy to Europe neighborhood and that slow access to production in the region there and causing life to be difficult.

Quote
Russia is a major supplier of fossil fuels, especially to Europe. Disruptions to supplies of these commodities are driving up prices.

The degradation of environment is also there if war happen and this is major effect on agricultural produce leading into the food shortage and insecurities around that.

There are many negative effect of war but no profit and  rebalancing fiscal priorities could prove quite challenging even in advanced economies.

War is easy, in the sense that it just requires destruction and hate, it does not produce anything good. It's a lot harder to be constructive and creative, which blossom best in a free society. Unfortunately in many authoritarian style governments these sad old men, who are getting close to death and have nothing else to lose, are content to kill many people in their pointless conquests. Take Putin for example, he has positively shattered any illusion that Russia is a real superpower in the world, it's economy is now in tatters and generations more Russian's will suffer into the future because of his arrogance. The Russian military has been exposed as a terrible joke and he threw away any image of strength that might have existed before this year started.
1948  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will Investing Help the Economy of a Country on: September 21, 2022, 07:16:33 PM
Investing is Widespread now in the Society such that the Inability of not Investing, is Paving a room for not Benefitting from the Outcome.
And Right now Investing in Crypto is a yardstick of measurement and has created an opportunity that's reliable and trusted..
But I really can't tell how thus Investing in The Economy will help one's Country.

What investing really does is potentially help your country to keep more of it's wealth "in house" as it were. If you are American and buy shares in American companies, you help to keep all the earnings and subsequent profits within the borders of the USA if you live there. It gives you more say over what direction the company can take, at least in theory (but you would need to become a major shareholder to have any actual influence). The alternative is your companies being potentially taken over, useful parts like intellectual property and technology can be taken overseas which might make it harder for your country to be successful in the longer term.
1949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino and prisons on: September 21, 2022, 06:49:18 PM
What if prisons were given license to operate a casino will it be safe for inmates . A similar incidence happened between 1932 and 1967 in Nevada State Prison. Despite not having licence to operate the casino existed for over 35 years and ever since then nothing of this kind has ever occurred.

Quote
Throughout its 35 years, various wardens either tolerated the casino or considered it a worthwhile distraction for the inmates. This changed in 1967 when a bill in the State Legislature to prohibit prison gaming was defeated in the Senate. Shortly thereafter, the State Prison Board used its authority to close the casino. The sandstone building which housed the casino was demolished.

It is interesting to note that this casino had no licence and wasn't recognised by the Nevada gaming authorities but the inmates ensured there was no cheating there by creating a self policing system.

If you consider that prisons are meant to be there as a form of punishment, in some cases for extremely sick and serious crimes, then finding new forms of entertainment for prisoners is not exactly going to be on the top of the ideas that the public will support. In fact prisons actually actively try to stamp out the small forms of gambling that prisoners try to get away with because it ends up creating debts and some people create debts they have no intention or even ability to play off. What would prisoners want to do more of after a day of officially sanctioned gambling? Continue it back in the prison block - they have very little else to do to fill their time anyway.
1950  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: September 20, 2022, 08:57:13 PM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?

If you find large groups of people in one place, and Facebook is arguably the very largest of those in existence, then you are going to find people trying to sell things. Facebook themselves have been running their own internal advertising platform for well over a decade now and make a lot of money by allowing advertisers to target certain niches. If you get an effective advert blocker then you should be able to avoid the worst of it, but in another way - these platforms need at least some sort of baseline revenue generating model to offer their services for free. Then you also have the marketplace section which is actually a good method of joining people together in geographical areas who might be interested in buying and selling in an ebay-type setup.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch gambling problem and Sliker issue on: September 20, 2022, 08:47:31 PM
Silker is a Twitch streamer and would use his influence & position to ask for money from his viewers, other streamers, friends, etcetra. Then he would gamble away all of this borrowed money on sports betting. Mostly tennis matches lol

Here's a tweet by Jake Lucky on this https://twitter.com/JakeSucky/status/1571309473402355712

Twitch has turned into a cesspool of gambling addicts and gambling pushers. Do you think it's a responsible content creation & moderation on a platform which is used by teens, kids, and young adults?

Will this be the straw that will finally break the Camel's back and will force Twitch to ban gambling streams?
I hope it does.

There are a lot of parallels between people getting addicted to gambling and people who follow some of these streamers in a cult-like fashion. Many people out there look at the lifestyles of streamers, getting paid all day to play games essentially, and end up worshiping them like a celebrity. It's slightly sad in a way because they think through donations and other activities that they somehow form a bond with these people, but once these streamers reach a certain level they will just be churning viewers. At that point they are earning so much money from donations, sponsorships and other funding they really won't notice if all their original subscribers left and new ones came in. Not even sure why Twitch tolerates this when they are meant to be a relatively young fan base orientated site.
1952  Economy / Economics / Re: Removal of $100 bills from circulation on: September 19, 2022, 11:37:48 AM
I used to read the news about it, but didn't take it seriously. But recently I heard a discussion that 100 dollar bills will be banned in a number of countries, and then in the USA and Europe, fiat will gradually be replaced by digital money(CBDC).
It's not a quick process, but it's rumored to start later this year.
I'm interested in hearing your opinion on this issue.

"Rumored" being the keyword of all of this. This is not going to happen because it does not need to happen. It's a scare story that only someone who is focused intently on pushing a crypto narrative would pick on. Dollars are the reserve currency in the world, the whole idea that "other countries" (of which there are two hundred plus) banning it would somehow spur the US and EU to take such action is pretty dumb. America's monetary printing policy is not determined by a foreign country banning a certain format of their bills, on contrary they are likely to take stern action against a country that bans their currency and force such laws to be reversed or impose penalties for it.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 19, 2022, 08:25:04 AM
In order to understand the psychology of gamblers, i have decided to come up few questions for discussions, and here is the first one.

Suppose that you are a responsible gambler who have allocated a certain portion of money to gamble each month. Now you came across a poor person/family who is in urgent need of money. Will you quit the gambling for that month and give the allocated money to the poor family or will you prefer to gamble as you can't live without gambling ?

If you've gone to the lengths of setting up a budget, you probably have some money set aside for gambling and some set aside for a charitable activity. Unfortunately you do not know the conditions of everyone around you and cannot save everyone in the world. There are people who abuse goodwill by acting poor or even through the best of intentions do not have the ability to manage their money effectively, making it hard to distinguish a worthy cause anymore. If someone approached me saying they are hungry, I would offer to buy them food but will never give cash out because it is all too often used for drugs or alcohol, which while it may be a coping mechanism is not going to solve any problems.
1954  Economy / Economics / Re: What is regulations turning into on: September 19, 2022, 07:10:01 AM
Tornado Cash was sanctioned by the Office of Foreign Assets Control in August, claiming that the smart contract the mixer is using has helped to launder over $7 billion in crypto since when it was created.

Quote
Tornado Cash was sanctioned by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) back in August. OFAC claimed the smart contract mixer has helped to launder more than $7 billion worth of cryptocurrency since its creation in 2019, including over $455 million stolen by the North Korean-linked hackers Lazarus Group.

When the mixer was sanctioned, it affect innocent people that wants privacy, even though if truly it is used for the illegal activities, but how about the innocent people. I have read in the past that stable coin company, Circle even freezed the coins of Tornado Cash users.

Coinbase is in lawsuit United States Treasury Department about the sanction on Tornado cash. Why?
Read it in full:  https://blog.coinbase.com/defending-privacy-in-crypto-e09db33dece8

And according to what I saw on the news:
Quote
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said in a statement that Treasury went too far, taking “the unprecedented step of sanctioning an entire technology instead of specific individuals.” In addition to claiming the sanctions exceeded the department’s authority, Coinbase argued the measures:

Remove privacy and security for crypto users;
Harm innocent people; and
Stifle innovation.

Are regulators not overdoing?
Is USDC company, Circles right about freezing of Coins linked to Tornado cash users when not requested?

Stables coins like USDT and USDC can be frozen on noncustodial wallet.

In reality, these regulators have access to much more information than you or I. Criminals are always looking for ways to move money about and trying to clean it after whatever method they've used to acquire it. It's a very real threat that any responsible government should be investigating and trying to take steps to minimize. It is how fraudsters get away with millions each year, how violent gangs are able to stay out of banks and how other nefarious activities are able to take place. As long as laws are designed in a fair and reasonable way, nobody should fear them. The people who make the biggest stink are sometimes those who are trying to avoid things like paying taxes which is a necessity to live in a developed society.
1955  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: September 18, 2022, 09:06:53 PM
Age has being a factor depreciating some people in vitualising their dreams. They keep saying "I'm too old to go school", I'm too old to start a new career", I'm too old to start a business". This make them remain stagnant throughout their life time. Age does define success as success comes in all forms. An adage says "when there is life, there is hope". That means success can still be actualized at any age so far ones is still healthy. Let's consider the list of 5 successful people who found success and achieve their dreams at above 60s:

CONCLUSION
Don't let age be an obstacle in achieving your dream. It's not to late. Neglect your age and let passion move you towards achieving your desired dreams.

It is only natural that age will prevent you reaching some dreams. Many people would love to become a millionaire before they are 30 and that dream is almost always shattered. People want to become a millionaire by such an age because the body goes into a slow but steady decline. To ignore that is to ignore reality, it is better to embrace and accept it rather than deny the truth. Dreams can also change over time, those things that we thought were most important when we were young may no longer be important as you get older. Many older people would happily trade half of their wealth to get some of their health back because it can get debilitating.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you being secretive about your gambling activity? on: September 18, 2022, 12:27:46 PM
Are you hiding your gambling activity from your loved ones, family or so?
Or are you being 100% open about gambling?

 Huh

I'm quite open about gambling if it comes up in conversation, I stick to low level amounts and generally try to make the most of freebies - have had quite a successful year (up a few hundred) considering the minimal stakes involved. I wouldn't actively bring up a conversation on this topic, as to avoid accidentally encouraging someone who might not have a good grasp of the statistics or odds involved, and because it can lead to terrible addictions for certain people. However if the topic does come up in a social circle that understands the risks, then it can make for interesting conversations. If you're hiding this sort of chat, then it's possibly because you know you're losing and should perhaps quit it altogether.
1957  Other / Off-topic / Re: IT boosts up the economy on: September 18, 2022, 12:07:47 PM
Hello, community
I have a question about how a country gets benefits from freelancing, e-commerce, or any IT skills by its residents people

It is clear that having a strong IT sector is a fantastic boost to the finances and skill base of any country. Countries without a stable and fast internet connectivity will struggle in the modern world to keep enough jobs growing for their people as more business moves online. The best part is the wide range of activity that suits people of all types - whether you are doing low level data entry (like converting old newspaper articles into an online repository) or doing super advanced stuff like developing apps which might go on to serve many millions of people. Even low level jobs like shop assistants and food service industry jobs may slowly disappear as elements get replaced by technology, so learning a useful computer skill (even just typing at a fast pace) is going to be essential in future.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why going for 1.02 odds and below on: September 18, 2022, 11:54:32 AM
On sportbooks, I have noticed some odds lower than 1.1. I definitely know that if people are not going for such low odds, bookmakers would stop adding such low odds. Even 1.08 is still better (understand me correctly, I am not saying it is better), I have noticed odds like 1.02 and 1.01. On in-play (live matches), I have even noticed 1.001 up to 1.005 to be included. Why are people going for these kinds of low odds?

Assuming I have $10 to bet with this week, going for 1.02 odd, the profit is $0.2. That means I have to bet 50 times of the same 1.02 odds to get $10 in return. But my $10 betting fund which I could lose in just a single bet. Is it worth it?

I am thinking it does not worth it at all. Why are some people going for non valued bet of such low odds? It would only encourage them to increase the amount of money they stake on a bet and yet losing it at once is possible. Not a good strategy at all.

What is your opinion?

I have to agree that they are really not worth placing a bet on and for the risk involved I don't think even considering 1.05x payouts to be worthwhile either. I have actually seen several (in a row) bets of the 1.02/1.03 fail to win, so they are not guaranteed by any means. You also have to remember that most sportbooks will add in a buffer amount, so in reality the sportbook sees these bets as worth simply 1x or slightly less. Unless you have the facilities to really do mass and large scale arbitrage betting, you'd be better off avoiding this type of bet altogether because it will take you such a long time to pay off and just one miscalculation can wipe out a fifty successful bets that happened previous.y
1959  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The economic danger of China and Taiwan war on: September 17, 2022, 01:40:44 PM
The Dangers of China and Taiwan war

From looking into the war in Taiwan, the dangers of third world war is coming. I read the effect is worse with Russia and Ukraine. USA is not very friendly with China and it is possible that China will close the straits for USA Navy movement in that environment this going to cause US to put sanction against China including trading sanction restriction of Binance.

What effect is coming if Binance is sanctioned to operate in NATO countries.

The possible effect of Taiwan war on Binance exchange I have think of and I believe that US will do everything to cause some negative effect to Chinese if they are in the war with Taiwan by sanction of trading in Binance because China own it. I thought wide about this and go online to search for the information and see that the world economy will be difficult to survive and what will happen to Binance if NATO implement no trade in their country there.

I expect such sanction will drop the volume trading from Binance and tax to Chinese government will reduce from Binance.

I hope that China is seeing the mess that Russia has brought upon itself with their war in Ukraine and thinking twice about any sort of invasion. Their economy is spluttering right now and this zero Covid strategy is a diabolical mess. At least in the very short term, until dictator Xi is confirmed again for his third term later this year, there won't be any changes to his strategy. He most likely would want to rebuild broken economic ties because stunted growth makes the CCP look very well again.

Hello,

I was looking for a dice gambling bot and found one. Its called ncttechnology. But arent sure if I can trust this. Found nothing about it on google.
Does anyone of you know this script/bot. Is it real or scam?

Greetings, Getschilm

You absolutely, categorically and without doubt should never use any type of supposed gambling bot or cheating software. Hackers and scammers spend every day scheming up ways to get you to install software that can take control of your devices, steal your credentials and wallets. Gambling companies are in business to do one thing: Make money. They cannot make money if any single one of their games is paying out to customers on a regular basis. Even if in some bizarre alternate reality this was somehow possible (it's not) then why would anyone sell this software when they could just switch it on and make an endless supply of money. People will come up with all sorts of reasoning to trick and lie to you, but such programs do not exist.
