1961  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: rank up and merrit on: February 22, 2019, 08:22:01 AM
Guys i created my account last year pa. ngayon nalang ulit ako naging active. will the new rules apply to me given na i created account under old rules. or applicable na din to saken.
Unfortunately, it's a Yes because the time you created your account has nothing to do with the merit system so you have no choice but to comply unless you don't want to rank.

Here's a link regarding this topic. I hope it answers all you need to know.
at paano ba dumami ang merit ko  at mag rank up.
You can acquire merits from your co-members. In order to receive one, you should make good quality posts but it is not as simple as that. It still depends whether somebody can appreciate your work and give you some. Good luck Smiley.

If you want to know some tips then read cabalism13's post, it surely helps. (Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5096483.0)
1962  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gaining quick profits or keep holding? on: February 22, 2019, 07:07:08 AM
Day traders can always make profits whether it's a bearish day or a bull run simply because the market is volatile, they can adapt into it and make it favorable on their side. But for small investors like me, selling/buying is not as simple as 1 2 3 because a bad decision means a loss of money. So right now, I continue to hodl and wait for a further increase of price before selling so that I can max out the profits I could possibly get Smiley
1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung confirms the rumor! on: February 22, 2019, 05:17:25 AM
Yup! I think this time it is for real Smiley. How funny to think that an issue which spread on social media sites couple of weeks before about pics of an alleged crypto wallet on screen of Samsung smartphone units now do come true Grin. A rumor becomes a reality! But to be honest, people from third world countries (like me) for sure will have a hard time to buy this because it's too expensive that's why they tend to buy a cheaper product but almost got the same quality like Xiaomi.

Nevertheless, this is good for the crypto industry not only because blockchain technology was applied once again but also the fact that Samsung — a big and well-known company — serves as a platform to advertise the use of crypto. For this reason, reaching our dream of crypto revolution becomes faster and brighter Smiley.
1964  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bitcoin ATM dito sa Pilipinas existing 3 years ago na pala? on: February 22, 2019, 03:49:11 AM
Akala ko yung UNION BANK ang una mas nauna pala to.
Yup! That's why I get confused why Unionbank tell that they are the first who established a btc ATM here in our country and why others believe the same thing (well, probably they're not aware of it). If they say that they are the first company/bank who did this then probably they're the first, but technically speaking, they're still not the first Grin.

By the way, here's my post way back the time when someone shared a news regarding this issue.

1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: February 22, 2019, 02:44:11 AM
Not always we should be positive but sometimes also we think about its negatives results and it is not bad at all.
You're right! Think not only of the opportunities of making profits (positive) but also think of the possible risks and drawbacks (negative) so that you can weigh whether you will become successful if you make a certain decision. So for gamblers out there, introspection is a must Smiley.
Maybe I could say, it will be better to stop gambling and much better find some other ways to be more profitable rather than of staying in here.
Stop it if this is now your last resort of earning money, you are now noticing that your behavior is changing or starting to get addicted but if it's not and you just gamble to enjoy then there's nothing to worry about.
1966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Mikey Garcia vs Errol Spence on: February 22, 2019, 12:53:42 AM
What are your thoughts about the fight?
They are both great fighters, no doubt about that. But since Mikey is the one who adapt on Errol's world (welterweight divison) then this might be a major disadvantage for him. But well, I'm sure that Mikey's team will not come up into moving up weight class if they knew that he is not comfortable with it in the first place so I don't worry too much. I just wish that he can make the required preparation for this because if a small weight increase can already affect your speed and stamina, what more if you change yout weight class.

To be honest, this is an exciting fight Grin.  They both have a clean record but one will be tarnished after their fight. This time, I'll go for Spence Jr. because for me he is a very aggressive fighter which is very obvious in his record (24 W - 21 KOs)
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OPSkins - Why people are using it? on: February 21, 2019, 02:01:54 PM
Can anyone explain to an ignorant person like me what's the point of using OPSkins and how come people spend so much money in that site?
Simple, to look cool or rich in the eyes of others. Like in playing MMORPGs for example, some gamers are willing to spend few bucks just to buy armor, weapons or fancy accessories in order to make their character stronger and more distinct compare to other gamers' avatar (proving that they are an elite among others) in short, they do this to become famous thus resulting to an increase of their self-esteem.

Actually, I do not prefer doing such act because I can't see the sense as well. They used real money to buy virtual things then they'll jump into a newer and more upgraded game when they ge5 bored already and spend again, and this thing might repeat over and over again. What a pretty big waste of money  Undecided. Well it's not our business so who are we to stop them, I just hope they'll soon realized that they are just wasting too much money for not so important things.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: February 21, 2019, 12:28:46 PM
Do not get discouraged, a few days are lost, but others are won and won big! The important thing is to raise your head and move forward, life gives many opportunities to get up and if life gives those opportunities believe me the game will also give them! Wink

This has to be some of the worst advice I've seen anyone give to a gambling addict.
Probably because he is a gambking addict too. I don't have any evidence to prove this but I guess no one will give such advice except for those who already hooked too much because they already don't know what is right or wrong.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 145: Blachowicz vs Santos Prediction and Info Thread on: February 21, 2019, 11:00:45 AM
I knew Thiago Santos somehow but the rest I'm already not familiar with them (because remembering European surnames is hard thus making me lazy, that's why Grin). Hmm, I can't predict what could be the outcome of this fight because they are pretty equal when I based on their record but for sure this will be an action packed fight. This is light heavyweight division, my favorite Smiley.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: February 21, 2019, 09:58:51 AM
It is obvious every gamblers thinking their mind set to get win and to make earn profits but for me this not the right way to earn profits.
I play gambling for just having fun not  a source of income but of course sometimes we need to accept in ourselves while playing gambling the temptation to get win is always in the mind.
I don't think fun is the main thing to be considered if you are aiming to win, strategy was (IMO) because if you bet and the only thing that motivates you is fun then there's a tendency that you can't able to pick the most possible outcome or have a "whatever will be, will be" attitude since your emotional well being overpowers your critical thinking — in short, you are out of focus and just going with the flow. And for this reason, you might face losses, Yes! You are happy but your pocket is not Grin.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: February 21, 2019, 06:32:56 AM
This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin
I feel sad for what you've said Sad. Well, past is past, just continue moving on. I know that it's hard but you have no choice at all, you have to be strong. Just try looking on the brighter side for you to recover fast, It helps a lot Smiley. Consider yourself lucky because you able to realized the mistakes you've done only at early stage unlike those addicts who already lose thousands or even millions of dollars yet continue their bad deeds. And at least, you already learned a lesson which lets you to avoid committing same mistake once and for all.

It doesn't mean that you will now quit gambling forever and ever, just be more responsible next time but if it is your choice then so be it, it was good for you after all Smiley.
1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Is Your Worst Moment in Gambling? on: February 21, 2019, 01:31:49 AM
my worst moment in gambling is when i bet on the lottery then i already win, but i will bet again so it happen i lose all my money. I can stop betting, because i know i will win, but i'm not that lucky. Instead of earn profit it lose, so think well, and control self is the important that we have in gambling. It feels very disappointed, because of greediness, and that is the most worst moment.
Oops! That's the consequence of being greedy Sad. But I cannot blame you for commiting such mistake because that's natural (sad but true) for a gambler. However, if what you did is that you set aside a partial amount of what you win then bet the rest then at all things are much better. Anyway, I hope that experience will now serve as your lesson and avoid doing it again. That's okay, i just hope the money you input is not so big Grin.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and investment - different discussion on: February 20, 2019, 10:32:12 PM
<snip>
when the confusion will had in my mind which is the best gambling or investment I choose investment for my first opening because it had some little guarantee to get the profits in the future but gambling is not like that if you entered into this it will give losses in most of the time.

I don't have a preference simply because both of them are set into my mind as a risk. For me investing can be said gambling as well because you are putting your money into a platform which have no 100% assurance of a good future (ICOs for example); in short, you are also risking your money to an uncertainty like gambling. Losing money there is still inevitable although the chances are smaller.

Anyway, I'm getting interested about investing in gambling sites. Is it like you invest then as the gambling site earns, you also earn by giving you shares based on how large the amount you invested? Is that the main concept?
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Gambling on: February 20, 2019, 01:16:22 PM
If you say that gambling is a losing proposition — where loses weighs greater than the profits — then why there are existing poker players (just for example) who are now multi-millionaires? This only proves that with a good combination of a little bit luck and tactics, being successful is not impossible.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 20, 2019, 11:55:18 AM
Maybe he just googles and sees who scores most without noticing who made the game! Durant is good but his performance and achievements couldn't be compared with LeBron's. There is still a long way for him to show off... But after he moved to GSW he will be always a shadow...
I'm not really a fan of Durant and as well as Lebron so technically speaking, I do not like both players. But without being biased, I think you are correct. Though Durant can also do what Lebron did in the hard court, I can't still get rid of my mind that that he was only able to achieved it mainly because he stick into a great team while on the other hand, Lebron already proved that he can carry what team he joins (seems Lakers do not belong in the list Grin). Knowing that, we can see the big difference. He will not be called the King just for nothing.
The next big star that it is rising is Antetokounmpo and when the King will retire he will be the best player in the world.
Hmm, I'm not sure with this. It might be Harden, maybe Curry, maybe Doncic or him, nobody knows? Nevertheless, Giannis has a lot of potential and I like him being a player because I can feel his monstrous performance without overpowering his humble attitude.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Gambling on: February 20, 2019, 10:00:01 AM
I would like to open a thread about the opposite.
Here are some disadvantages that come to my mind when gambling is involved, I did not copy-paste any text from anywhere, this is purely my own thoughts about it
However, this topic was already discussed so many times before and there's a chance that your perspective is also the same as the others' so I don't find any reason why this thread is necessary. Nevertheless, each one of us has the free will to share knowledge so I appreciated what you did.
4) Gambling can also destroy you individually
For me, this sentence sums it up. What do you think? Grin
All in all gambling is a losing proposition, these drawbacks weigh much more than any possible benefits you can ever come up with when it comes to gambling.
You have a good point but that still depends on the well being of a particular gambler. If he is disciplined and strictly follow his good principles then gambling would not be a probpem at all but if he is not then that's the time when problem comes. All is just a matter of proper handling.
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling streams on: February 19, 2019, 11:38:42 PM
I'm not a fan of watching livestreams so if I want to learn something then I only watch from youtube and Facebook videos or watch the uploaded live stream if it is my interest especially in sports.

Hmm, sorry if i can't recommend one but try to watch Immortal Gambler. You can watch there the players with the sickest hands Grin.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What currencies do you gamble with? on: February 19, 2019, 12:42:55 PM
Bitcoin is only favourite of mine because we can convert it into fiat as easy when comparing to other coins and also more sites accepting bitcoins when compared to ethereum or other coins.
You're right but if I ever had a chance to make a bet using eth or xrp then I'll go for it instead of using btc because first I want to preserve the value of my btc, I don't want to spend it as much as possible. And besides, there would no issues at all since the wallet I'm using supports such coins and I've also heard some few testimonies (though I'm not pretty sure about this) from other gamblers that using alts is also good because of faster transactions and lower fees.
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 19, 2019, 11:00:26 AM
Fuck I hate it when a fight ends like that. Now everybody's gonna praise Ngannou and trash Velasquez when there was actually no fight.
Velasquez deserves better than this.
Yeah! But well, that was a clean fight so who are we to complain? What ever reason why Velazquez got beaten up whether because of a hard punch or a knee injury, one thing is for sure, Ngannou didn't cheat in order to win so he absolutely deserve a respect Smiley
I'm a big fan of the "ground fighting" era, the one with the Gracies, Shamrocks...
Me too because I'm already bored of one punch KOs. For me it's more exciting to watch on how fighters doing various techniques to make their opponent tap out (sounds like a sadist but I don't mean it) and my favorites among them are twister, guillotine and arm lock.
For me the best fighters are still the ones that fight like Couture, Khabib (different from Couture but still a ground fighter), not like McGregor, Liddell...
Hey, Where's Royce Gracie and St. Pierre? Lol just kidding, I respect your taste Grin.
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How gambling sites can cheat you on: February 19, 2019, 08:46:55 AM
To avoid such things to happen. Just play on old sites, reputable, and has already build a trust in community by running for how many years.
You have a good point, but emember, every reputable sites we knew these days such as Fortunejack, Betcoin, Sportsbet and others also starteted from the bottom. For sure that they also experienced bash, bad comments and false accusations when they are in their early stage before becoming successful. What I'm trying to say is that there is nothing wrong of trying a new gambling site, yeah we all know that they could be a possible scam but let us still give them a chance. Just invest small amounts at first to test their credibility Grin. How the crypto gambling industry grow if we only revolve around the few sites existing at the present and refuse supporting emerging sites anymore?
