1961  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnC Miner list of orders - Neptune on: July 06, 2014, 04:39:54 PM
I ended up canceling my order and getting refunded in BTC. Best of luck to those still waiting on their miners!

Anyone else getting a crc error when extracting "InnoSilicon Customized WebGUI RPI Image for A2 Miners (2014-06-18)"?

Sweet, thanks for posting the image.

Anyone have any tips on how to control the clock speeds? Firmware 2014-05-21 includes 1000MHz, 1200MHz, and 1280MHz. I'd like to try higher.

Is anyone else having difficulties with one or two blades going dead when switching pools?

1040GPU/1500MEM tc 8192 -g 2

or

1040GPU/1800MEM tc 8192 -g 2

Find a stilt BIOS for your card and the first setting will be golden.

Time for me to chime in.

I placed an order on Dec. 5th for a Neptune, and paid BTC11.7595 for it. On May 7th, I asked for a BTC refund VIA email, and got a quick reply from KNC stating that they would begin the refund process. I exchanged a few more emails with them between the 7th and the 12th, and on the 13th I was refunded BTC29.2039.

Overall, I could not be happier with my experience. The whole thing was painless, and I made a lot more BTC than I would have by mining with the hardware. I see it as a very high interest loan to KNC.

Great work! Program works perfectly for me now. Smiley

Very nice looking program, but I can't get it running. Scanning finds my 5 ants, but they don't show up in the Ants page. Manually adding their IPs doesn't work either.

All 5 are running the latest firmware, default username/password, stock CGminer, API access enabled for CGremote, and overclocked to 400MHz.

Network looks like this:

192.168.1.x

My PC --> wired to router --> wireless bridge to garage --> bridged router to 8port switch --> 8 port switch to 2nd 8 port switch --> 5 ants

I can access them all normally through Firefox.

My app uses the Windows "browser" object to talk to the Ants.  That's Microsoft speak for imbedded internet explorer.  What version of IE do you have?  Are you able to get to your ants via IE?

M

Yes, I just successfully logged into them with IE 10. Is upgrading to 11 (or whatever the latest version is) worth a shot?

Edit: Just read the rest of the thread. Looks like the issue is having 3 pools filled in, and I only have 2. For some reason my ants won't let me access the pool management page, and I never had a good reason to look into it. I'll wait for your updated version that doesn't need all 3 to be filled in. Smiley

I run the free version. Just downloaded and started the .bat file. Is that all to it? It is running by the looks of it. Anyway, how do I see the number of connections on the wallet, because I cannot have the wallet running at the same time right? (It asked me to close the wallet when I tried to start it the first time).

More technical. How does the miner know how to connect to the rcp-port? I have a custom user/pass combo. And how does it know to what address in the wallet to put the block money? Nothing in the bat-file points to rcp/wallet/me.

Did I miss something and am I mining so my eventual block will be gone forever?

I'd like to know this as well.

Well, if you're willing to spend the time instead of money and appearance isn't too important, I suggest tracing your circle and then drilling a lot of 1/8th of an inch holes following your trace. When done knock out the wood, and possibly sand the hole clean if needed.
1975  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Electrical Responsbility on: April 15, 2014, 08:00:27 PM
How many AMPs are you pulling? Do you have a standard 200A service?

I doubt they will want to upgrade hardware on their dime, you aren't a typical customer. If you were to move they would have over built, under utilized infrastructure. Time to look into commercial/industrial locals.
1976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining is dead on: April 06, 2014, 09:26:28 PM
GPU mining died when LTC skyrocketed. Everyone and their mother bought any GPU they could find to "get rich". That's when I stopped buying GPUs.
