d) for better or worse their names are now tied to Bitcoin. Don't underestimate egos. If this thing hits big people on Wallstreet will remember who launched it, who bought coins when most people hadn't heard of Bitcoin, who "got it right" and laughed all the way to the wallet.dat.
Once again I caution this is just my speculation but it seems illogical they would go through all this simply to unload some coins.
That's an interesting side of it I never thought of... what a great way for them to be seen as the "guys who mainstreamed Bitcoin" and not "the crybabies who sued Facebook" Yeah I think it is a lesser consideration but it is important to remember people are people not wealth accumulating robots. Motivations often have a very human element to it. As an NYSE trader, I would definitely be buying some shares of the ETF. For some reason I just don't think it will get approved. Hopefully I am wrong!

Sounds like driver issues. Had the same problem when I first started with my 5850.
Had to do a fresh install of Windows and used Catalyst 13.1 and everything worked fine.
I'm using 13.4 at the moment. Can I downgrade it without reinstalling Windows? You might be able to. I needed a fresh install because I was using an NVIDIA card before putting in my 5850, then I proceeded to download like 5 different versions of Catalyst and SDK so I couldn't get it to work right. I finally got cgminer to work but then was getting nonce errors. Uninstall everything and use Catalyst 13.1 and see if it works. The errors definitely look like driver errors though. Once you get GUIminer working, I suggest moving to cgminer. You will notice better hashrates with that.

More freerolls will be nice, specially at more friendly hours for us across the pond, it's quite late here the current daily freeroll of Hedge Poker, and has I've been seeing in other bitcoin poker sites, freerolls seems the way to get an active user base.
The freerolls have been great and they are definitely a good way to get active users. Other than a referal bonus, the only thing I can think of would probably be too hard to code as I only see them at house games or casinos... Bad beat table bonus, cracked aces bonus, etc. Maybe do a weekly freeroll for 100-200 credits for users who have participated in x amount of tournaments.

I saw that thread man... guess it took a turn for the south. I don't know how much faith I'd put in the integrity of a lot of characters on here. You are throwing a lot on the line by doing escrow it seems. Looks like you got hit hard by some stupidity. Good luck to ya ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

Bet placed. Go Yankees! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) BTW, I am using Nitrogen Sports and I think that if the Yankees win, then they will send the money directly to you tonight since I had you send it directly to my account there. So if you see a 0.0187 BTC deposit tonight, then that means the Yankees won. What should I give to you in return? (Since you asked for the loan you should get some profit) lol, if the Yankees win, then you can send me 0.005 or something. You gain a cool .0037... if the Yankees lose, you get your money back. You are essentially gambling vicariously through me with a 0% chance to lose ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Yep, I find that NitrogenSports usually offers the best odds.
and the best design imo

A signed letter of collateral would be sufficient for any attorney with half a brain to sue me for the assets (i.e. stocks) listed on the letter.
But, I understand it is a risk not many will be willing to take. Can you help me out, Vod?
No, I prefer to have collateral in my hands, so I can sell it and recoup my investment. I don't want to waste time and money on a lawyer. Truth! Alright, well I am going to get a MoneyPak and try to buy some BTC tonight. Do you know of anyone that would be able to trade a money pak for BTC in a short time-frame... say... 8 hours or so?

But, I understand it is a risk not many will be willing to take. Can you help me out, Vod? I can go get the cash out of my bank account after work and buy a money pak at the store. Do you know of anyone that would be able to trade a money pak for BTC in a short time-frame... say... 8 hours or so? Obviously I should have done this last week but I didn't think the USB miners were going to sell so fast! I could transfer the account information, a signed collateral contract, photo ID, etc. to a preferred escrow account - John K?
I'm completely fine with using escrow for this but it would definitely need to be someone extremely reputable as my Scottrade account has my bank account information linked to it.
The main problem would be getting this done before the group buy closes tonight.
Actually, the main problem would be you contacting Scottrade and regaining control of the account after you have received the coins. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) You need to have something that can transferred non-reversibly to the lender. That is collateral.
