1341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP! Talk me out of buying more GPUs!!! on: August 16, 2013, 04:55:38 PM
I'd get em.  I'm crazy though and like to mine and buy coins.

With all the alt-coins out there, some are crazy-pump-and-dump-profitable, and there is money to be made with GPU mining.

Never mind the silly folk like lightlord that spout GPU mining is dead.  It's as if they don't even know that alt-coins or Cryptsy exist... lol

1342  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bitcoin ASIC mining hardware price bubble? on: August 15, 2013, 09:29:11 PM
Do your homework. Difficulty goes from 37 to ~47..

Looks like you should have done your homework as OP's guess was closer than yours.

1343  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fantasy Football? on: August 15, 2013, 09:27:13 PM
I'd assume he meant American Football.

If it is World Football (Soccer) then I would definitely be out haha

1344  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY] HASHFAST/COINTERRA 1.55 BTC for 10GH, JOHN K. ESCROW, BEST VALUE on: August 15, 2013, 08:42:38 PM
hmmm... I want to wait for Cointerra but this seems like a good deal right here!

Might have to get a couple of shares.

*puts on thinking cap*
1345  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Have you ordered your HashFast Baby Jet yet? on: August 15, 2013, 04:55:39 PM
I'm waiting for Cointerra to show us what they can do.

Me too!

I am hoping to become a distributor or at least host a few Group Buys since they are only a few hours away from me Smiley
1346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hashrate Difficulty Climbing on: August 15, 2013, 04:05:04 PM
How accurate are the predictions that the difficulty will be at 178mil by November 2013?

I think that would be a best-case scenario for you.  Assuming a 40% increase every 14 days, you are looking at almost twice that by early November.

15-Aug    50,000,000
29-Aug    70,000,000
12-Sep    98,000,000
26-Sep    137,200,000
10-Oct    192,080,000
24-Oct    268,912,000
7-Nov    376,476,800

Keep in mind, that it will probably increase more than 40% with all of the hashing power that BitFury, HashFast, KNC, ASIC Miner, CoinTerra, TerraHash, and BFL will be releasing between now and November.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's over 400M by November.

Cancel your order and buy some Bitcoins if you want to invest.  That 50GH/s is going to probably net you about $5/day by the time you get it.
1347  Economy / Lending / Re: 5btc loan needed for bills and car repair on: August 15, 2013, 03:57:10 PM
i will not provide any personal info or collateral. Please do not ask.

These words are definitely comforting.  I'm sure you will get a loan in no time at all!

1348  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Phase 2: 1.2 TH/s Offers & Orders on: August 15, 2013, 03:51:21 PM
10% is not too high IMO. I am going to run my first group buy at a NET LOSS with a 3% fee because of rent and Avalon delays. Especially if he has to rent commercial space.

Why would you have to rent commercial space for three rigs?  I have a small house and could easily find room for three rigs...

This isn't a GPU farm.  This is essentially three desktop computers that could easily fit on one desk.

Sorry, didn't read the OP. I agree you could host three rigs in your house, but some people have wives and girlfriends that don't like noisy fans running 24x7 (three rigs would be quite loud).

Good call.  I should start a group buy and take 20% off the top, and pay for my mortgage as "hosting fees" lol

 10% hosting fees... wow

Let's just say the difficulty is 200M when you get 1.2TH/s online...

That will generate 60BTC per month.  So you will take out 6BTC (~$600) for hosting fees?

Let's also overestimate that you are using 3000W to power and cool the rigs, so 24hrs * 30days * 3KWh = 2160KWh

You either have very expensive electricity or just want to rake a nice chunk of the profits.

Others, like Moogle, are only charging 3% fees and offering escrow.

GOOD LUCK! Cheesy

1353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: August 15, 2013, 01:49:45 PM
good point. those websites compare alt coins with BTC mining direct, while people in this pool compare this pool with LTC mining directly.

Yeah I didn't think of that... just thought of all the people complaning because they could be mining LTC for more profit than this pool.  I just like collecting coins, so I am probably going to stop using this pool for a bit and start hitting up random alt-coins and then sit on my 50 different wallets for a while.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 143-64-16) on: August 15, 2013, 01:42:54 PM
Eh, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

The Yankees could win 4-0 today and both bets fail.  Don't get too greedy with the parlays.  I usually do one of them a day for $1 or $2 just for fun.  Sometimes it pays out quite nicely like last week when I hit on a 4-team and a 7-team back-to-back. However, I fully expect to lose my next 40 parlays to make up for that haha

Good luck to everyone!

Also, sorry if I am jacking your thread, stayeduptolate... just seems like this has been a free-for-all the last few pages.  I'm definitely too lazy to make my own thread and keep it updated and I appreciate all of the picks and sports conversations Smiley

It's cool, I just wanted to roll eyes with you since you weren't making any sense when trying to snub people's reading comprehension skrillz Tongue

1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 143-64-16) on: August 15, 2013, 01:33:31 PM
Only one two picks for today:
LAA Angels ML +103
LAA Angels v New York 8.5 -105

Soriano has had 13 RBIs in the past two days.  I'm thinking that ends today.  Actually... I think the over 8.5 bet is good, too.

35 total runs scored in the last two games of this series!
1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: August 15, 2013, 01:13:14 PM
Some longer term stats, as some people seem to jump on for a few hours or a day and proclaim it's rubbish.

6000 KH, 16 Days

BTC Mining would have made 1.31 (3 days at 0.09, 10 days at 0.08, 3 days @ 0.06)
Middlecoin 3.12

So it's around 240%.

You really should have done an LTC comparrison.

Only a fool would be mining BTC with a GPU these days... Cheesy
1358  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: August 15, 2013, 12:54:15 PM

not true. hardware investment will break even in 112. do the counting: http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/

This is exactly why I want to be an ASIC reseller.

Some people just don't understand... lol

Learn how to read the trust feedback system people. That is feedback that HE LEFT. I had some guy trying to call me out because I had "red" in my feedback.  Roll Eyes

Oh, right... because he left the feedback it's irrelevant.  Roll Eyes

Sent a PM to uk1 for some clarification on the 1800BTC... thinking about doing this loan.
