First problem is using a Mac Cheesy

Seriously, though, try BFGMiner.  I have heard from a few people that CGMiner and ASICs don't get along sometimes.
1442  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: It's sad. on: August 07, 2013, 07:05:11 PM
whew... you should be getting about 0.004 BTC a day more!
And people wonder why I don't want to buy one for 0.5BTC...

But it will pay for itself in 125 days as long as difficulty doesn't go up... so umm... never! Tongue

Basically, the pool operator doesn't care about the difficulty because it doesn't affect him.  It might affect the slower miners, but the faster ones and the 3% fees the op receives are not affected by the difficulty at all.

1447  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for .5 BTC loan - 10% in 2 weeks on: August 07, 2013, 06:14:53 PM
According to PlayerAuctions the account is worth a lot more than the loan.

Yeah, that's what I looked at when initially seeing what he said was on the account.

Looks like it's worth upwards of 2BTC depending on if you can find a seller.
1448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I Want your PPUSD funds! Get btc fast! on: August 07, 2013, 06:10:34 PM

Gotta admire his motivation...

Joey sure goes through a lot of trouble to scam people for $10

What kills me is how proud he is of being a shit stained loser.

1451  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for .5 BTC loan - 10% in 2 weeks on: August 07, 2013, 05:49:34 PM
Ya I have control of the account

Look into listing it on Bitmit, or PlayerAuctions, or even here.

If it has the stats that he said it has, then you should be able to get more than the repayment amount for it.
1452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New miner here on: August 07, 2013, 05:47:17 PM
Ill entertain alt coins but I'm sticking with bitcoin for now. I personally think GPUs are still viable, all that garbage about power usage is horseshit. If you wanna save some money turn off the extra tvs and lights in your house and youll make your money back. Its beyond me why people are turning off their rigs, especially when you cant get good asics yet.  I view electricity the same as i view gasoline your gonna buy it doesnt matter. Plus i actually need 3 dual output cards for my screen so its all a wash for me. So i turn off and wait a year for some joe shmoe at "jerk your cock labs" to send me some hardware when in the mean time I could have made over 700 in that year and smacked down punks in COD and resell the shit.

Well I respect your decision to stick with bitcoin.  Just realize that you are wrong if you think mining Bitcoin with them is more viable than mining alt-coins and trading them for Bitcoin.

But to each their own!

Good luck Cheesy

Thanks! Cheesy

13.1 works for me.  Running a 5850 and a 6950... just got another 5850 in the mail today.

Can't wait to get home and start messing with it.
1455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ASIC mining - confused?!? on: August 07, 2013, 05:40:49 PM
Well when they say they are selling them, they mean that they will deliver it after they use it to mine for a few months, and then in 6-18 months they will deliver you the product after the difficulty increases 500-700% or more.

Try looking for an auction or sale of an ASIC that is IN-HAND... not PRE-ORDER.

It'd be like real-life Minecraft.

Build during the day, and seek shelter at night... rinse, repeat.
1457  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for .5 BTC loan - 10% in 2 weeks on: August 07, 2013, 05:18:30 PM
Use the collateral he gave you.

Yeah, if the account gave you is as described, then list it on www.playerauctions.com

It looks like it will fetch more than the 0.5BTC

he did give you the account and you verified it and changed the password right?
1458  Economy / Lending / Re: looking to sell joeyjmr8484 btcjam debt on: August 07, 2013, 04:41:37 PM
Wow, .0003775? No way. I would consider .17. But thought .22 was very good deal as it is.

Considering whoever buys your debt will get back 0.0000000, you should see any offer as a good offer.
1459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New miner here on: August 07, 2013, 04:35:55 PM
Happy Birthday!

Read up about alt-coins, or think about pointing your GPUs at LTC/FTC/Middlecoin, as they are all more profitable than GPU mining on Bitcoin.

Welcome to hell... Cheesy
