Yep yep.  Took the money line.  Pretty upset about last night.  I put .15btc on the over for the Saints game... would have won the bet, but when I pulled up my computer this morning it was still sitting there waiting for me to confirm the bet lol

Whiskey + betting = hard

I'm taking the Pirates tonight.  Only putting .02btc on it, but I think Liriano will take care of business tonight.

Yikes... hope no one followed me into the flames on that Rams pick... lol

1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks on: September 27, 2013, 02:06:12 AM
For someone hitting 60-70% which almost no one can do for -110 plays, you aren't betting much and obviously don't have a large bankroll. However, at those percentages the profits you would be showing would quickly increase this. 70% of -200 plays yes thats reasonable. I bet sports daily and make a decent amount from it. Good luck on your plays, but keep actual track of past plays, don't just throw out 60-70% cause honestly VERY FEW bettors are able to achieve those numbers in the long run.

So what's the actual average on people who frequently bet on sports and are decent at it?

The average person doesn't keep track of their bets.   I did for a little bit but ended up like 18-13 with a very small percentage of profits so I stopped.

If I would have kept it running i would have included a 6 team parlay and a couple of nice streaks.  KingOfSports makes significantly larger bets when he is tracking them though, most are at least 1BTC.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 223-85-29) on: September 27, 2013, 02:03:34 AM

They had the some of the least odds for nfl futures at the beginning of the season, don't know if that is the correct way to say that, but you know what I mean.

Yeah most had them right behind the Seahawks on their lists.. they look like they clicked.  Good call on your bet.  Glad I only lost .15 Cheesy

cbhelp, which one is the end point for the scam?  1btc or higher?

Sorry, but I'm gonna keep bustin' your balls.

Not sure if you are scamming or not but it really does look like it.  Why do you keep asking for money, bro?  I see your sports bets are doing well.  If you are WINNING your games, then why do you need OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY!?

Edit:
Added the following negative trust to cbhelp:

"Started by asking for a loan for sports betting of 1BTC. He then settled on .25BTC and is now asking for larger amounts. Not even a few days ago I apologized to Kouye publicly here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=295512.0 for taking similar sports betting loans stating "I do apologize if it is encouraging scammers to try and take out similar loans. ". I suspect he is trying to set up the lender for "the big score" when he will abandon the account and make a new one.

This happened to me last month with user "marjamrob". It's possible that this could be the same person as he was last active on September 18th 2013.

See accusation thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=270334.0

Convince me otherwise and I will remove this feedback. All users beware as he seems extremely sketchy."
1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 223-85-29) on: September 27, 2013, 01:41:16 AM
The reason why I am picking SF HARD!!!

Other than the 0-3 starts by the Giants, Redskins and Steelers,
perhaps the most perplexing beginning to the 2013 season has been
the recent fall from grace by the 49ers. Picked by many to win the
Super Bowl this year
after falling just short against the Ravens in SB
XLVII last season, San Francisco rides a 2-game losing streak into St.
Louis for this important division duel Thursday evening in a matchup
of rivals sporting identical 1-2 records. Head coach Jim Harbaugh’s 2-0
SUATS mark on the road in games off a loss, by a combined score of
47-8, speaks volumes of his disdain for losing. As does his penchant
in exacting revenge for Niners’ losses from earlier meetings where
he is 12-6-1 ATS, including 4-0-1 ATS versus foes with losing records.
The cause for concern, however, is two-fold. One: Harbaugh has
cleaned up in non-division play in the NFL (20-6-1 ATS) but struggled
in games against the NFC West (4-9 ATS), and Two: Rams head coach
Jeff Fisher is the best underdog coach in the league
at 86-55-1 ATS
– including 15-6 ATS versus an opponent off back-to-back losses –
albeit 0-2 this season. So who takes the hat trick tonight? The fact
that St. Louis captured the NFC West last year thanks to a tie and a
win over Frisco, is indeed an added ulterior motive for Harbaugh in
this contest. Toss in Louie’s lousy 1-11 ATS mark in games against
division opponents off a loss with revenge and with it Fisher falls to
0-3 ATS as a dog this season. Just like that, Harbaugh shoots… and he
scores. The Clincher: the 49ers are 10-0 ATS in division games
with revenge against an opponent off a pair of losses.

The 49ers weren't even favored to win their division... who said they were favored to win the Super Bowl?
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 223-85-29) on: September 27, 2013, 01:38:48 AM

all we all care about is winning and I dont cap soccer so if they win people will be happy!!! we need a mma capper to! lol

Amen brother.  Looks like you were right on the 49ers.  The defense just showed some life there... and I imagine the 2nd half is going to be the 49ers we saw last year.

Good call.  The Rams could still have this in the end, but it is going to mean Kaepernick throws a pick or two.  The defense (niners) looks like it got energized.
1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 223-85-29) on: September 26, 2013, 09:29:38 PM
The 49ers can beat anyone in the league, no doubt.  I just think they are going to lose tonight because they are really banged up all over the place.  Besides, they haven't given me any reason to think they are a good team this year outside of the anamoly that was week 1.

Look at the practice report:

49ers Practice Report
Did not participate: CB Nnamdi Asomugha (knee), LB Patrick Willis (groin)

Limited participation: LB Navorro Bowman (wrist), S Raymond Ventrone (concussion), T Anthony Davis (shoulder), TE Vernon Davis (hamstring), C Jonathan Goodwin (elbow), DT Ray McDonald (ankle, ankle), DT Justin Smith (shoulder), WR Kyle Williams (rib)

Full Participation: RB Frank Gore (knee), G Mike Iupati (shoulder), CB Carlos Rogers (knee)

1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 223-85-29) on: September 26, 2013, 09:22:23 PM
I am in St Louis, well close, and I love the rams, that being said, they do play them tough, but the rams ARE NOT going to win tonight.  The 49ers defensive weakness is stopping the run.  The rams...they dont have a run game.  Period.

And, did you see Romo light up the defense?  49ers score 30 minimum tonight on them.

Have you seen the 49ers this year!?  They look like crap and have way too many injuries.  I don't see the Rams getting blown out twice in a row.  This could be a high scoring affair, but I see the Rams pulling the upset.

I've been known to be wrong, so bet at your own risk.  I like the line and think the Rams win a big game at home.

Cowboys > SF (especially as banged up as they are)

Comparing those two teams is not really helpful in breaking down the game.

Also, the first three weeks the Rams have played the #3, #5, and #2 rushing defense.  Daryl Richardson has skill and he is going to show it off tonight against that crappy SF defense.

I am confident Smiley! remember tho this is sports betting and ANYTHING can happen

One of us will be happy tonight!  Cheesy

Well, the first one of my bets has settled. For whoever went along with me on this one, congrats!
-------------------------------------

Russia (don't know the league name) - Won!
Ural v Lokomotiv Moscow
Lokomotiv Moscow -1

Yessir!  Thank you for the pick.  Hope the rest of them pan out nicely as well.

Enjoying the win to start off the day, and I put enough on it to cover the possible future loss of my MLB parlay and the other soccer bets I piggy-backed you on.

No problem. I am not entirely sure if the other soccer bets will pan out nicely, but we will see. As said before, don't use high stakes on those. But in theory, they should all win Wink
Can't wait to see the results!

Yeah, I liked the look of the Russian bet, so I put .1btc on it.  Only put .01-.03 on all the other bets I did today with the exception of the Rams which I dropped .15btc on.

Good luck to all, and thanks again for posting your picks in this thread! Smiley
