At http://qqcoin.cryptovalley.com i'm often experiencing that my miner shows: network diff set to xxx Detected new block Request stratum for pool 0 ... etc etc But then it stops mining for some time. If I manually close the miner and re-open it, it does mine again for a while and then the same happens. What is going on? |

A difficulty of above 97 already is insane for this coin. And I don't think this does really stops people mining this coin. Allthough it did for me, I've got some better alternatives now i think  |

What system are you working with? For me that looks like an hardware error / failure or something, as I haven't seen that once.

If you want to mine in a pool: 1. Download the miner in the first post of this topic 2. Right click with your mouse on 'pool-miner.bat' 3. Fill in the correct pool URL, workername and workerpassword. An example of the line you see there is: qqcoinminer -o stratum+tcp://server1.cryptovalley.com:1212 -u Don007.1 -p x --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1387769316 -I 18
This means that i'm connected to the Cryptovalley pool, my workername is Don007.1 and my workerpassword is "x". Don't forget to register at a pool and create a worker before doing step 1, 2 and 3! Goodluck! |

Have a few to sell, 45828 for 4 BTC - PM and we can go through escrow.  Holy Fu what kind of setup you got or you got in when the difficulty was 0? Started 2:30 am uk time this morning after I spotted it lol - got 8000kh/s capacity and put 6000kh/s on this for 10 hours or so ... Damn. I wanted to turn on my measly 1500khs on as well at the same time, but didnt hit any blocks so turned it off.. well I guess too late now since difficulty has jumped SOOOOOOOOO much! still mining a few blocks with 3mh so can easily still get coins. Solo? Or do you mean in a pool? I think 3 MH/s is a bit less to solo-mine, but i'm not sure about that. |

Got it working now. It was a big DDOS with dozens of attackers, maybe someone owning a botnet. And you know what, there's only 2 or 3 others pool on QQCoin, so only 2 or 3 suspects. Guys, it's a shame, don't use such methods... Seriously...  Coinwars bro, don't take them personally It would be sad if that is true. Are you possible to take care of them? Also later on? My hashpower goes to your pool . |

All of these pools show to use cgminer in their "getting started" page. Is this correct? I know for solo mining we have to use qqminer. But, can cgminer be used on pools for this coin?

I mean it isn't instantly updated does it? Quit mining for a about 10 minutes and the dashboard still showed that I was mining. Anyway, i'm currently mining again at your pool. I think i'll keep doing that for a while now. Not sure whether there's something wrong with the frontend of http://qqcoin.altexc.com/, otherwise it has processed more than 8500% of average amount of shares needed.. I went back to the vanilla solo-mine.bat but it didn't improve my hashes, unfortunately. Mine was at 2.8mh/s while you guys were getting 5mh/s and now it's at 2.45mh/s while the others have fallen to around 3.3mh/s.
Is Scrypt Jane more system RAM intensive than regular Scrypt? I have 4gb for 3x7950. They run beautifully on plain Scrypt.
Those of you who reached 5mh/s, how much system RAM are you running and what GPU driver?
I don't believe it uses much if any more system ram than normal scrypt, thread concurrency being the same. Currently, I'm using 2.6 gb out of 16 with 4 GPUs mining (9 gb of total GPU memory), along with the standard windows background process usage and about 10 tabs open. I would think 4gb of system ram should be just fine. Currently running 13.11 (whql iirc), forgot I was going to upgrade to 13.12 today, oops. Had 5MH and now 3.3, running 13.12. The key to a high hashrate is the lookup-gap command, currently using --lookup-gap 4 --thread-concurrency 16384 . The changing N-factor is changing your hashrate too. Is a kind of second difficulty. It works perfectly now! You can connect.
