When Russell is not having a good game, somebody must step up offensively, and that's what Walker IV did. Reaves is expected to step up offensively, so as Lebron, and even if AD didn't play that good in the 2nd half (only had 4 FG attempts), they still won. That kid is clever; he was very clutch in that game. With his lack of experience in the playoffs, I didn't expect someone like him to step up in such a huge way. The Warriors surely weren't prepared for him, and I'm sure they'll be figuring out how to defend against him in the next game, as he did a lot of damage. Actually, the Warriors could have won that game, but unfortunately, they aren't the same team anymore and can't protect their big lead, as the Lakers can easily come back with a big run of their own. |

Yeap, imho Ryder showed more heart in this fight than Canelo. We saw usual Canelo, everything was expected from him. Ryder did a really great fight. A lot of people did not trust in him, he was a huge underdog and many predicted early stoppage. However the fight went full distance. Even despite huge dominance on score cards, I liked how Ryder showed himself in that fight. Ryder even managed to take few rounds.
I just wander what Canelo is going to do next. Another victory among middleweights. Another predicted victory. Are there any fighters left who havent lost to Canelo? I see only one way for Canelo - to try again to fight in light heavyweight.
I expected a knockout win for Canelo to somehow impress his fans after his loss to Bivol but that didn't happen because like you said, Ryder showed up into the fight prepared for whatever Canelo brings into the table but just wasn't enough to get that win as we all know that in order for Ryder to win he must dominate or KO the Mexican. For me, Canelo should fight Benavidez first and if he wins, he can do a rematch with Bivol and enough with those tune-up fights that everyone knows whose gonna win. Ryder said that he broke his noise during this fight, first time that it did happen to him, but he was really a tough mofo, and just decided not to get knockout. If that is other boxers, they could have taken a dive and Canelo winning and fans very happy with that result. But not Ryder, shows resiliency and make the fight very competitive at least in his part. I do agree that it's better to g for Benavidez to defend his belt again. One thing that Ryder said though that Canelo is starting to decline at this point. And this is what the majority saw in this fight. So it's going to be interesting if he chooses David next as Benavidez is younger. Yes, it's evident enough that John Ryder was strong enough to endure Canelo's punches but he still got knocked down somewhere in Round 5 and I reckon that if only Ryder packed a strong punch, he could've give Canelo some harder time rather than waiting until the fight ends. And I do agree with John Ryder, Canelo seems declining and we can see it because that's not how he usually perform in some fights. Given that comment, it's much safer for Canelo to face Benavidez rather than visiting Dmitry Bivol again in his own division where a loss is almost inevitable in Canelo's side. Safer because at least with Benavidez, he got more chances but the kid pack quite a strong punch which also gives some risks to Canelo. But yes we can also learned from other people experience, and we can have an advance thinking that we should avoid this thing etc. But if I could turn back time, I will save some of the money I earned here in bitcointalk and I will reinvest it in btc. That's one of my biggest regret. Gotta give some love for D'Angelo, he did well and he's on fire for the game 3. But there's no doubt that AD was a complete beast on this one. Dominated the scoring and points and as well as the rebounds. While LBJ also did a lot of points and help as well. I would love to credit also Dennis for having that 12 points. While the other bench scoring players also, only a few of them didn't contributed. Overall, they really did great for game 3. Two more wins and this series ends. D'Lo literally gave the team a good start for having consecutive shots beyond the arc while also having two successive field goals inside the first quarter alone meanwhile, LeMarathon here made another history for himself for not having any points in the first quarter. I mean, this man is literally a walking history maker  Anyway, the whole roster made a good contribution and watching them bullying the Warriors was a kind of scene that you cannot see frequently. The Celtics might beat Philly on the road after that stellar game 2 performance, but I think we should forget what happened in game 2 so we won't be too aggressive in putting our money on the Celtics. I think the home team here is the underdog since most bettors will likely choose the better team between the two. Boston vs Philly surprised me, just as anybody else. Without Embiid they were a huge dog, I think the spread was around 10-12 points. Even with Embiid back for game 2 (maybe) I don't see Boston losing again, this was just a fluke.
Well, guess I was right and it was a fluke. Even with the mvp back in the lineup Philly got destroyed. He didn’t have any impact on 27 minutes of playing time. And Harden, well the words off game wouldn’t even describe this performance, 2/14 from the field plus 8 fts. After game 1 everybody expected more of him but this was not it. Probably just one of those days that Harden mindset is very different as he carry the team without Joel Embiid and win by a close margin. It will be much better for the team if James Harden will be playing like that regularly and performing like what he did Game 1 while Embiid is still having a hard time about his injury that slowed the team. Now the series shifts to Philadelphia and Boston needs, and will get, at least 1 game away from home. They can’t risk going down 3:1, that would almost mean the series a done.
Embiid will only become more healthy and dangerous the longer this series goes. Boston would be smart to finish it fast.
For sure Joel is very disappointed with his performance and going back to their homecourt, the MVP cheers might do good for him and we could see him putting great numbers for a MVP. Otherwise, if they lost, it's going to be a big let down to their fans. So we will see, another great game 2 is between the Lakers and Warriors, they can't simply allow the Lakers and Davis to have that kind of games. Yes, no doubt! Just a few words to cheer up Ryder fans - he is an interim WBA champ. Not a Nr1 contender, but a champ. You dont get that belt just for having beautiful eyes. These 5 losses in his record. People say that it is a lot. But have you seen these losses? What if they were in close fights? Ryder has wins over strong opponents also. Dont judge him only by losses. He is a southpaw and technitian boxer. Southpaws were never easy opponents for Canelo. And we gonna see spam of punches from both sides.
I guess, that's one thing we should look forward to rather than expecting a one-sided fight throughout the night just because of the term " tune-up fight". I, for one, particularly believe that Ryder will show what he is made of because this is a big opportunity for him to prove his existence in-front of the public but if ever he will get out defeated, I guess this bout will be his last as he already hinted a retirement just a while ago. |
