21  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Your take on buying an expensive phone like iPhone 15 on: November 30, 2023, 11:33:35 PM
So my take on having an expensive gadget like a phone!!
Why would anyone buy an iPhone 15 or any good phone, costing above 500k, solely to fit in or want to make everyone feel they are rich? The only time I could agree to buy such an expensive phone is when I want to use it for business or to create content that will give me money because of its high camera quality. Otherwise, I can't buy such costly phones. Some people buy these phones due to peer pressure because their other friends have them and they want to too. I would suggest that, if you do get one, utilize it to create content for social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram until you gather a significant audience and become eligible to earn from it.

I understand that some people enjoy luxurious items, which is perfectly fine if they can afford them with their hard-earned money. My concern is why some people go to great lengths to get these expensive phones solely for the sake of fitting in.

My brother humans for this life wey we come so ehh some dey weak me right, left and center. That same question you dey ask O.P me too dey seat down like this dey ask the question i dey even go extra miles to dey ask my self say why this person go buy iPhone this or iPhone that all because say them wan belong, today na so I see one lady for inside car, as the car dey carry her pass ba so she set the iPhone back out side make we see say ehh na iPhone she dey use as in ehh who do girl's this thing for this country because if you check well na this current generation (indomitable) ones of the boys and Girls na them dey kill their self for this iPhone saga pass. Abegie O.p plenty things dey to talk but make we just leave am here. The matter dey tire person to talk finish.
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you overcome the hurdles and gain confidence to trade as a Newbie? on: November 30, 2023, 11:22:18 PM
Entering the world of Bitcoin trading can be both exciting and daunting, especially for newcomers. The volatile nature of cryptocurrency markets and the plethora of information available can sometimes overwhelm new traders.

Todays question i would share how we overcame these hurdles and gain confidence to trade as a Newbie?.

This question made me to remember a friend on CALL OF DUTY MOBILE as we were about entering game he asked me how do I get the confidence to take trades as in not get scared if I will loss or gain, there I said to him when your setups is right in your face and let's say u have flashcards of most previous trades that has same particular setups there you will be confident of the trade you are about to take, and to add on that trading is a 50/50 thing win or lose, so as you are about to embark on it just know that and know PEACE.
23  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we need to have a stop loss if we are 100% positive about a trade? on: November 30, 2023, 11:15:03 PM
I have been into trading for many years but I have never used stop-loss myself because I believe that stop-losses won't help a trader to improve his/her trading abilities. The stop-losses are something that will protect a trader from losing a lot of money in a trade but if a trader doesn't conquer the fear then that's the worst thing I guess.

I have won many trades and I've also lost many trades but I have never used a stop-loss for a single time and that has helped me as a trader to improve the areas that needed that improvement. I'm not really against stop-losses but I believe they can cause fear in the mind of a trader and the trader might not take risks if he/she fears about the losses that take place if the trades go wrong.

I would like to know that what you guys think about stop-losses, and how often you guys use stop-losses to avoid getting huge losses in your trades?

I don't use stop loss if am watching the market and am on a trade, what I do is I cut my losses when a trade refused going my way after entering and the trade has been dancing up and down without any direction. But the case at which I use stop loss is when I know I won't be online to monitor it probably am going to be out of data or my phone is running low on battery that's the most cases I use STOP LOSS.
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trading vs HODL - Personal Experience for Newbies on: November 29, 2023, 08:07:50 PM
Hi everyone,

Bitcoin price is going up, resistances are being converted into supports. I want to share my advice and personal experience with beginners and newbies on this forum and explain what is good for them in the long term. If you are an experienced member/trader, take it lightly.

Alright, Newbie, I will start without wasting your time. Bitcoin Trading will never be profitable in the long term as compared to HODL.
You will never win or become a millionaire if you decide to take leverage, use Future Trading, or even Spot Trading. You can never catch every move perfectly.

If you are new and making a profit, that's called beginner's luck. That doesn't mean shit and no, you do not LEAVE your job to become a full-time trader.
Always collect Bitcoin, Spend at least 20% of your savings on collecting sats.

And once again, Leverage is your biggest enemy. Even 2x leverage is dangerous.
Bitcoin Halving is approaching, I would suggest all of you focus on buying more, avoiding selling, as these prices will never come in the future.

All the best! <3

Many advisors out there has really ruined the lives of many newbies, or will i say influencers with the wrong advice they do put out there for them, I believe many newbies that will come across this post will get to know this LINEyou do not LEAVE your job to become a full-time trader.
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can about this forum??? on: November 29, 2023, 08:00:58 PM
I am new to this forum.  […]

Seems like you’ve finally figured out that you’ve been wasting your time in the bounty section and that they are lots of information you’re missing out on… but now that you’ve asked let’s start from the basics.

Here’s the rules of the forum you don’t actually need anyone to explain it to you, just take your time and go through it you’ll be able to understand different sections of the forum, type of posts that are accepted in that board, and also make you realise what you’re supposed to avoid to prevent you from getting banned.

Some other threads that I think you should read

I don't know exactly what I'm running after. I am slowly learning how to work on it. But there is not much clear idea about how to work here. I think more time should be given. Can you help me in any way?

You should navigate round the forum and see if anything piques your interest.

Good out put for the O.P, and it's cool O.P voiced out to what will help him or her understand how the forum works without going up and down (navigating) without direction to what he or she wants. I do see many will just be asking unnecessary questions just so they want to quickly have their activity count, in order to want to follow up bounties or airdrops without having a clear understanding about the forum this generation just want everything sharp sharp which it doesn't work that WAY...
26  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: 2024 will be a good year for BTC hodlers. on: November 28, 2023, 09:52:39 PM
Greetings my gallant fellow Naija people in the local board, 2023 is coming to an end soon and many plans for this year look as if it will not come to pass in the life of hodlers to achieve a huge amount of profits from their investment. I was hoping that the price of BTC will reach $50k before the end of November which remain few days to the end of November but the price is still low in the market and, the way the price was running in the market recently for the price to stop at $38k and, it look like the bull run will not come this year 2023 but it will surely come early next year for those that invested in the bear season to have good opportunity to earn a good profits. Next year will be a good year for me because, I really embraced many opportunities that helped me to buy BTC whenever the price decrease in the market but I know good opportunity will come that will make the price hit above $50k for long hodlers to smile again next year.

Hope you have prepared well for the bull run that is about to show up in the market next year? Or you don't believe that there will not be bull run 2024?, If what I observed in the market few weeks ago is real, I think bull run that will make people to make big money will surely show up next year 2024.

OBOY  Grin Grin this topic title my O.P, if you understand weyting this ENGLISH HODL don do many people ehh no body go even reason the matter of BTC again like this, like this now for the country as things dey tough and rough dey go the only thing wey dey man head na to see food chop.

29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investing against 2024 on: November 27, 2023, 07:34:52 PM
I am so elated each time I come into this forum and see thousands of members who are already outside the matrix doing great things and doing everything possible to get the novice and beginners up in the crypto world. I want to put it out here Iro know if possible we can get to know the intending coins that one could invest into against 2024. We need a good crypto analyst of wall street standard.

If you have plenty of spare cash O.P please give it to me let me help you to keep it lols... Grin Grin, look around you many hardly invest money in any shit coin or lets say eth and btc as a whole due to what the market turns out to do when you dont and will never see it coming, so many prefer investing money they CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE that will never hurt them down to there kidney  Grin Grin
30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If i have 1k how to trade future on: November 27, 2023, 06:53:34 PM
If ihave 1k how much to use margin for safe trade

To hold position for say two days

And which safe laverage to use

One advise i will give you, yeah, is to make this post at your local board where you can write out what you wanna say in a clear english, rather than having all this mixed up sentence in it. which i know you will express your self better and you will get the answer you need too.
31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weak or wise? on: November 27, 2023, 06:48:54 PM
In trading sometimes, there are situations and several times where traders while observing a trade placed and the profit they have made already  from it  begin to think and consider to exit from the trade and take the profit that they have made instead of waiting to the end.

Do you accept to be a weak trader or a wise trader when you exit a trade taking some profit, but not the entirety of what you want on your TP?

In this aspect we tend not to call it weak or wise, me i take profit when i see the trade is doing something else rather than what i preddicted the trade to do so is better to HAVE THE BAG SECURED than let the market have it back again.
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone just paid 83BTC for transaction fee, on: November 26, 2023, 07:25:02 PM
As we all know the transaction fee continues to get high as the mempool remains congested for almost a month now due to reoccurring ORDI tokens on the bitcoin blockchain. This has left some people a bit furious and some newbies making costly mistakes of setting high transaction fees.

A transaction that was in block 818087 had actually paid a whopping sum of 83 bitcoins as the transaction fee. I would say this is a costly mistake but for someone having that huge amount of bitcoin in their possession I don’t get it. The transaction was first broadcasted with a fee of 70 bitcoins and then later was replaced with that of 83 bitcoin as fees.

My guess is the sender was probably trying to set is fee as 70 and 83Sats/vbyte and then mistakenly set out that high fee. The block was mined by Antpool, hopefully they would treat it as mistake and return the funds.

1. TXID for the 83 bitcoin fee: b5a2af5845a8d3796308ff9840e567b14cf6bb158ff26c999e6f9a1f5448f9aa

2. The replaced transaction ID: 0c35f3c8a0c38f45629940ee9ab2b1c93d408be113845a735043261ad20f3351

Advice to newbies check properly the amount your setting as fee and make sure you are looking at the right fees estimator, use wallets that allows bumping of fees in case you set a very low one

This is a really huge sum if converted to Naira here in Nigeria trust me and at this current hard time in the country 😭😭 people still have such money to spend on a transaction menhn am weak. Like ehh this one really weak me 83BTC. Ahh it is well ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss ? on: November 26, 2023, 07:20:00 PM
Maybe at least tell us what platform so we can help you? Because It'll totally depend on the exchange you're using. And chances are, whatever platform you're using has an article on how to use their stop-loss function so you're better off Google-ing it first.

To what I see yeah, this O.P basically knows how to use stop loss, let's say he wanna get the attention of members and probably boost up his activities in the forum, which is not a bad idea to me but the o.p asking the question should elaborate the topic more than just throwing a question at us.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who should own a demo account? on: November 26, 2023, 07:15:16 PM
There is no restriction to who can own a Demo trading account, a new trader or an expert trader. I know many traders may feel like they are now bigger than demo accounts, and only new traders should have demo accounts for demo trades, but I think that to avoid losses still, expert traders should also have demo accounts for trying out new strategies before they try it live. What do you think?

Do you as an experienced trader that has made profit from the market repeatedly, do you still have a demo account for trying out new strategies?

I own a demo account @ O.P I basically use it always to back test my strategies even if am 100% sure of my setups I still make use of demo even when I take live trades too I still enter the trades on my demo account. And yeah many do make fun of those who use demo account as if it's a one huge crime trust me demo helps a lot.
35  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much do you Trust Bitcoin ? on: November 25, 2023, 07:48:21 PM
To what extent do you believe in the long-term viability and stability of Bitcoin as a leading cryptocurrency, considering the impact of decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on its perceived value, adoption, and regulatory landscape? How do you perceive the potential influence of DeFi and NFTs on the trustworthiness and growth potential of Bitcoin, and how does this factor into your overall level of trust in the digital asset ?
To make it simple from 0 to 100  how much do u trust on Bitcoin ?

Cryptocurrency is not a regulated assets as a whole so asking how much one should trust Bitcoin is a different aspect. We all come together to trade and invest in cryptocurrency and so doing making money of it and also with the losses involved. One thing you need look out for is not letting the losses be more than the winning.
36  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Consolidation on: November 25, 2023, 07:43:57 PM
Understanding and identifying market structure is one of the major key we traders must have in other to succeed in the crypto market.

In as much as most traders claim to be experience, they are still lagging behind because they were never trained in the craft.

Not all experience traders as they claim can identify consolidation in the price chart, which to me it's a killer of our account.
Try not to be in the market when the market is consolidating, because there is a higher possibilities of you losing that trade.

It's one structure we traders look down on not knowing the danger it pose to our account,  during consolidation in a higher timeframe like 4hr is the most dangerous because it can go either way.
If we must succeed in trading it very essential we know market structure so as to know when to enter and when to exit the market.

Not only knowing what consolidation is or market structure, trust me many don't even know when we have a strong trend in the market, tho the market seems to range more than having clear trend which is another killer of account. And so to say many still don't know which type of trader they are.
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Liquidity on: November 25, 2023, 07:40:12 PM
What is liquidity? Any idea some tips ?

You have Google and Wikipedia for you to ask anything you wanna know, please lock this topic because it's not worth the stress someone coming up to tell you what LIQUIDITY is... Thanks.
38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can this be possible? on: November 24, 2023, 10:55:06 PM

I am not that active here but I really want to know if can this be possible?, I am not a time traveler but as it is said on the comments at the source page, where I get the photo from, some said most of the investors are time travelers,, so can the chat be possible?

Time traveller, hmmm I only see or watch this in a movie not on financial market, I think you meant to say CHART and not CHAT, at the place I marked RED. You can fix that grammatical error with the edit button at the right hand corner of your screen.
39  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Binance CEO don plead guilty to Money Laundering, Wetin go do Binance now? on: November 23, 2023, 03:48:34 PM
The truth be say I nor first trust CZ, he dey everything to gain more the Stori way them don talk about am I know e dey deeper than this because he nor just fit Resign like this. Most of us for local board dey use binance but I go advice make we find another alternative to binance for trading and p2p. If binance na be your only trusted place for p2p, be like say CryptopreneurBrainboss fit help out for here (nor go do p2p with person way you know or trust), remember say physical meeting for p2p don cast, so dey cautious of who you dey do p2p with o

The Resign self just weak me and na so I come see say bittrex wey been be the top one exchange before binance took over wan shout down so... Na wah anyway sha other exchange dey but like this binance ni be the best exchange I don use right from 2018 till date.
40  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: How close are you to your father? on: November 23, 2023, 03:45:48 PM
I don't know if it's only in this part of the world but from what I have seen, it's becoming very difficult to find someone who had a great bond with his father while growing up.

I understand that the father is the breadwinner of the home and that this demands that he work very hard to provide for the financial needs of the family. I also know that because of the nature of most work our fathers do, it doesn't give them that much chance to become available for the emotional, psychological, and the rendering of certain discipline to their children, but I think this shouldn't be enough reason why they will not bond with their kids once in a while.

I grew up in a house where my dad was always busy with work to the point where we only see him three times a year and because he feels he has been sending money across for upkeep, he doesn't seem bothered that the kids have missed the role of a father in there lives.

I also know so many youths that we grew up together that had similar and some, worse off experiences growing up with their parents, and now that we've grown and some of us have started a family of our own, some have started repeating this circle in their homes.

How do we balance the part of providing finance for the home and the responsibility of being there for our children as a father?

Abi  if we de provide for the financial need of our homes, e mean to say we don fulfill our role as fathers?

When I been dey small I no dey close to my father, since na army man him be and him hardly dey dey house we dey see am once a while when him return from outside work but like this him don join him ancestors... Na my mother I dey close to pass when him been still dey alive and as the first son for the family... Na me come be father like this so.
