21  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Jogo do tigrinho é 7 vezes maior que a bolsa brasileira, diz Anbima on: May 17, 2024, 11:20:44 PM

22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 17, 2024, 11:11:12 PM
And would you agree with him in implementing gambling prevention education in schools?

Yes!!!

Gambling has evolved a lot thanks to technological advances, something I don't even need to talk about, but the point is that young people are much more connected to technology than adults. So, any new technology is quickly disseminated among young people and arouses immediate interest as it becomes popular among groups of friends.
Because of this, many users of these applications and online gaming platforms end up experiencing extremely high exposure and end up taking risks that they were previously unaware of, as they initially treat gambling as something fun and do not see that it ends up becoming an addiction.

Another important aspect that I have noticed is that many young people who are interested in sports, especially football, end up using betting games as an extension of the sporting experience... this alliance between the games and the sport they like makes the competition more exciting to the point that some people find it extremely difficult to stop betting because the experience no longer has the same fun.

Finally, I believe that a young person's head is still a "sponge" to absorb a lot of new things, it is a stage of life in which everything that is pleasurable is their main priority.... this is a bad time in life for become addicted to gambling.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: May 17, 2024, 10:54:21 PM
Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?

I don't know if there is a right or wrong, safer or more risky... my opinion is that it depends a lot on the player's profile.

There are players who like to plan everything in advance, they research the teams calmly, study the lineups and probabilities of each result a lot and only then make their bet sets and take them to the end, no matter what happens, they don't change their bets. betting strategy because they feel confident in the choice they made... they are extremely strategic people.

On the other side, there are those who like to play with emotion, they only bet when the game is already underway because they believe that the outcome of a match is defined based on the current events of the game. These people don't believe in mathematics, they play with the unpredictable and bet on the result that seems to be most favorable at that exact moment.

In other words... trying to invert the type of bet between these two players will cause a "tragedy" on either side, the most favorable betting scenario varies greatly according to the bettor's profile and consequently the risks and gains follow this personality.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jose Mourinho Next Job (Season 2024/2025) on: May 17, 2024, 10:47:05 PM
The GOAT manager currently has no club. With the decline in his rating, more people are saying that his methods are outdated, and after a recent title-less season in England and Italy, can he still land a big job? Or will he be content with a mediocre team or even a less prestigious job such as in the Saudi league or a national team?

Even if his recent work has not been so "glorious", José Mourinho's dismissal since January does not mean that he is "dismissed", quite the opposite... it seems that there is no shortage of interested parties in his services.

I believe that Al-Qadsiah, recently promoted to Saudi Arabia's top league, intends to make José Mourinho the club's next manager. Although the achievements have been achieved, it is very likely that Al-Qadsiah wants to raise its technical level by hiring one of the most titled coaches today.

About Fenerbahçe... I don't think so, as they haven't won the Turkish championship in 10 years, and wanting to take José Mourinho to Turkey is something very "outside the norm" for this coach.

My bet is that he will continue in Europe or go to Al-Qadsiah.

27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 16, 2024, 11:26:40 PM
To be fair, I would prefer what Chelsea is doing instead of what United is doing, but United isn't too much far behind, except a few mistakes along the way like Antony. Chelsea did spend a lot of money that is true, but the reality is that they got a lot of young players, just Palmer alone could pay for all of their spending if they could sell him for peak price, and they won't, they will keep him and all the other young players they have. Chelsea could have a great future, and could benefit from it a lot more. I think it is clear that we are going to end up with Chelsea being better than United for a long time. United has a few good young players too, Hojlund, Mainoo, Garnacho and all, but they need more of those names, and probably a bit better too.

Between mistakes and successes, the Blues always continued to spend high amounts on reinforcements for the team, and most of the time they were right... that's a fact.

Chelsea's considerable success over the last 20 years is certainly attributable to the significant amount of money they spend in the transfer market and as a consequence they have never had a problem with a lack of talented players, especially after Roman Abramovich took control of the club in 2003. .
Much more than spending money, I am in favor of believing that they know very well how to spend all that money.

Of course, Chelsea have had some "notable" failures, but many of their new player signings have played a key role in an era of unprecedented success for the club.

Abramovich may have left, he left a "legacy" at Chelsea and since then the investments, in my opinion, have certainly been very successful for the club's success since then.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Casino Community Service Possible? on: May 16, 2024, 11:15:35 PM
If you think this is not a new thing or there are casinos doing this, you could please drop the link here or material or facts for us to see for ourselves and applaud the casino for that singular act of theirs.

Well...
As part of its commitment to protecting the environment, a casino must consider the impact on its own communities and this can be done in several ways. A casino can encourage projects that help local wildlife, improve water quality and reduce carbon emissions. The Global Warming Solutions Act of 2008, for example, requires that casinos reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. The Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act, meanwhile, requires casino licenses to follow strict standards of transparency, integrity and public review. Additionally, any casino license must support smart growth policies and set a limit on carbon emissions from its development and vehicles.

Corporate social responsibility is not limited to the environment, but also extends to the health and well-being of the community. While closing the Las Vegas Strip would result in fewer people losing their money, it would also mean thousands of people losing their jobs. Still, the benefits of sustainability do not outweigh the costs of addiction. The sustainability of a casino, including poker betting, tennis betting, is vital to its community, and you can't blame it for wanting to be an example for others.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2024 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: May 16, 2024, 11:09:03 PM
And apparently, the Brazilian championship will be stopped for two rounds, what did you think of that?

I think this was the right decision, but it should have come much earlier.
The whole of Brazil is already mobilized to help or at least show solidarity with the catastrophe in Rio Grande do Sul, its regrettable that CBF took so long to understand that in fact football is the least of the priorities at this moment and that the lack of teams from Rio Grande do Sul has an impact on the entire championship, not just on the teams that were "directly affected".

The saddest thing about all this is the mocking words that CBF representatives used at the meeting to comment on the situation... If it was just physical damage to the structure of a club, that would be fine... but we are talking about thousands of families who lose everything and some hundreds who lost their lives.
I feel ashamed that we have people like this as representatives of the highest entity in Brazilian football
30  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: FBI ameaça confiscar criptomoedas de quem usa corretoras sem KYC on: May 15, 2024, 11:17:49 PM

A tendencia é a piorar totalmente, vai vendo.

31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling? on: May 15, 2024, 11:08:27 PM
What's your opinion about this please?

I don't know if you are religious, but many of these beliefs are the result of religion.
However, if you ask me: Is gambling a sin? Is this the devil's thing?
Well... the Bible doesn't talk about betting and gambling as we know it today, but it says that we should be prudent with our money and not be controlled by addiction, and that already says a lot about the behavior of most gamblers. that I know here.
She also says that money earned dishonestly is not pleasing to God.

So, the conclusion I have is that gambling is not really a problem, most of them can be played just with the intention of having fun, the problem is that when we play it with the intention of getting money from it: “The The love of money is the root of all evil and whoever runs after easy money ends up in many difficulties", 1 Timothy 6:9-10
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Naturally Chase loses in gambling.. on: May 15, 2024, 11:01:24 PM
So, from your own understanding, what do you think makes people chase loses aside greed which I believe many of us are already familier with?

Chasing losses in a game most of the time only leads the bettor to "conquer more losses" and usually the result of this is a lack of money or even debt and stress, when in fact gambling should be something fun and healthy.
The main problem is that many bettors do not have the mentality and discipline of self-control, they prevent the player from understanding that defeats simply happen because that is how games work... this is statistics or the inprobabilities of a real world when We are talking about sports betting involving football, basketball or any other sport.

The best thing to do is to face defeats with humor, keep your head on straight and accept the loss, it will certainly be much less "painful" to accept this than trying to make amends and having to bear greater consequences... discipline and mentality necessary to become a professional bettor start with this self-control.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy is a failure if you are consistent with it on: May 15, 2024, 10:49:26 PM
I love roulettes because it is very easy to play and I see it relaxing. I bet with $3.5 yesterday using martingale strategy as I want to see what the outcome would be, I was able to win $6. $6 to $9 but it will go down to $3 until I won $10.  From $10 back to $6 until I won $13. Later I won $18. I played 5 consecutive times without winning at all and I lost the whole money. If won any among the 5 times selection, I would have increased it to back $18 or to $25. It was a boring day for me, I enjoyed the game, I wish to play more but I do not want to lose more money.

Martingale is a very interesting strategy, but it only works if you combine it with very strict risk management.

Imagine that you have a bankroll of $50, if you start by betting $15 the first time, on the second try you will have already bet more than half of your budget. I say from experience that you need to have a budget to sustain losses of at least 10 consecutive bets.

It is necessary to recognize that the Martingale strategy is not miraculous, it does not last forever and it is often better to leave the game and make the profit while it still exists.

Another way to minimize Martingale risks is to set a maximum multiplication value and whenever you reach it, save half the value or return to the initial bet. Make sure you don't risk the money you earn.
34  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Bitcoin Magazine na campanha de Donald Trump on: May 14, 2024, 11:13:28 PM

edit: li aqui: https://livecoins.com.br/joe-biden-nem-sabe-o-que-sao-criptomoedas-diz-donald-trump/

Cool

Tongue
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 14, 2024, 11:00:15 PM
Looking at Red Bull and Verstappen's dominance, I'd welcome the rain and the wet track.  That at least would make the race a little more unpredictable and a little bit more fun to watch.  I want it to be 2025 already...  I really hope Horner leaves for Ferrari.  And Newey too.

Anyway here's the schedule for the race weekend.

Interesting... the drivers will leave the intense heat of Miami for a possible storm at the Imola Grand Prix. I was also following the forecast on 'The Weather Channel' and for now the forecast is for cloudy skies and around 25 degrees Celsius throughout the three days of F1 activities. But the really interesting thing is this warning with more than 70% probability of a storm occurring on Sunday afternoon, exactly on the day of the race.
I'm honestly hoping this happens and makes the race "a little more" interesting with some teams making mistakes when changing tires, some "sliding" on the track and more exciting overtaking.

Anyway... for now I'm not going to venture any guesses about the day of the race, I'm going to wait until at least Saturday to see what the starting grid will look like.

Reportedly Madrid are ready to compete with Liverpool for Bayern Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz. Real Madrid are ready to buy him as a replacement for Kroos' role which may only be until next season at Real Madrid. Reportedly Madrid had to pay €150 million to get him. At 21 years old and performing quite well, Wirtz is certainly a young talent for the future, and that seems to be the long-term progress with Young Players.

Source: https://www.espn.co.uk/football/story/_/id/40115349/transfer-talk-madrid-look-wirtz-kroos-replacement

And he's not the only one... The investment in this signing is part of the Real Madrid board's planning for the club's future, they are reinforcing the offensive sector and another likely arrival announcement is from Leny Yoro, a young promise from Lille, and Kylian Mbappé, who has already announced his departure from PSG, I also read that Alphonso Davies, a Bayern Munich winger, is also tipped to arrive.

Real Madrid's expectations are similar to the situations in which Camavinga, Tchouaméni and Bellingham were purchased. The club planned early on to be able to "deep dive into negotiations with the players", currently important for Carlo Ancelotti's team, which won LaLiga and is in the Champions League final.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling friendly countries on: May 14, 2024, 10:43:59 PM
We all know that gambling income is heavily taxed in most of the countries. This is because most of the countries have separate taxes for the gambling related income. I want to know which are the most gambling friendly countries which charge very less or nil income tax on gambling winnings ?

In fact, there is a lot of variation in tax collection between one country and another.
Unfortunately I didn't find any specific data about online gambling, but I discovered that when it comes to casinos in general in the UK and Macau, casino rates can reach 40%, in Spain 61% and in Germany at absurd 92%. There are several factors that increase or decrease taxes within a country, these percentages that I mentioned are the maximum limits. On the other hand, there are countries where taxation is more lenient, such as Australia (30%), Singapore (15%) and South Korea (10%).
Here in Brazil, the government has already made it a little more flexible... before it was completely restrictive to any bet, today it is already allowed to place sports bets and the tax charged is in the range of 15%.

40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: May 12, 2024, 09:39:30 PM
I’m not sure if this story was already shared here but I just recently watch this gambler sad story from social media that is really heartbreaking.

The subject is Terrance Watanabe which is a successful businessman who has a huge business and money that becomes addicted on gambling. He lose a total of 127M which is all his fortune that he earn from his business. Imagine all your hardworking was turn out to nothing after a few years of gambling addiction.

The sad part here was he became a victim of casino scheme of alluring user with their offers and allowing him to play while drunk until he loss everything.

He manage to wager a whooping 825M $ in just a single year when he lose that 127M.

The case of Terrance Watanabe is known worldwide as the biggest whale in the history of Las Vegas, I find it difficult that anyone involved in the Gambling world has not at least read or heard this person's name at some point.
In any case, this is a case that is always interesting and relevant, remember, as it serves as an example and a lesson for many people to never make the same mistakes or fall for the same scams as him.

Terry Watanabe could rest easy when he won the civil and criminal cases against Caesar's Las Vegas in 2010, as it is in fact illegal for the casino to allow a person to gamble if they are drunk. Even though the casino accused Terrance again of taking hard drugs and also of continually harassing his employees, the gambler managed to win the case, I just don't remember what the fine was, but I know it was far from the amount that he lost betting and his measured fragility came a few years after he lost all that fortune.

Anyway, from what I've read so far, Terry was a generous person who had a serious problem with gambling addiction.
