21  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: {Update:3 New Miners added}Buy NEW MINERS 20% OFF!Gekkoscience,Asic and many more on: November 11, 2015, 02:33:09 PM
are we back in 2013  Grin

Definitely a number of assholes in this thread, he is trying to offer something, his for sale thread isn't really the place to be critical of him offering miners be it old or new as long as he is on the up and up...

Not trying to be an asshole at all. But have a Little sense of realism.. comming to a forum like this, trying to push these kind of miners.. In all seriousness.. these miners go on ebay I would guess he hasnt had much luck selling here.. but hey, please, prove me wrong!
22  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Buy NEW MINERS 20% OFF!! Must see! on: November 10, 2015, 12:40:25 PM

23  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Ni som minar i Sverige? on: October 26, 2015, 01:56:25 PM
Femti minere ja...  Shocked er det bare high rollers her eller?   Smiley

Jeg har mistet my shit så...  Angry

24  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Ni som minar i Sverige? on: October 24, 2015, 03:41:21 PM

27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bathroom floor heating trough watercooled miners on: October 22, 2015, 06:55:25 AM
How about doing a loop that runs through your bathroom floor first, and then through another pump and into your radiators?

If your floor will only disperse 400w and just pass on the rest, you should be good with just running it through more radiators?

31  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS in EU] >> 42 x S3/S3+ miners << on: October 09, 2015, 07:58:33 AM
even with 0.04$ power rates I wouldnt buy these miners at that Price.. its too expensive for it to make ROI anytime soon.

Best bet would be to drop the Price and hope for a local pickup.

a little math that everyone can make:

Quote
## used S3 (delivered in a week)

power bill  = 420$/month
20TH * 0.008 = 4.8BTC = 1150$
profit = 730$

if sold for 19BTC = 4560$ / 730$ ~ 6.23 months for ROI at current diff, so probably around 8months total

## new ANTMINER S7 BATCH 2 (delivery end of month)

20TH = 4 devices = 6400$
power bill  = 140$/month
20TH * 0.008 = 4.8BTC = 1150$
profit = 1010$

6400$ / 1010$ ~ 6.33 months for ROI at current diff, so probably around 8months total

I don't charge your opinion, you are correct, but i don't pay electricity so for me the math is little different.
Peace,

You can't compare an S3 which is very inefficent at 0.8W/Ghs to an S7 which is very efficient at 0.25W/Ghs.

You are comparing a Honda Civic to a Mercedes S class pretty much.

I'm not comparing, i'm showing ROI math, please don't spam with irrelevant updates.

You should sell them for like 0.25-0.30 BTC each and they should sell quickly.

Agreed.

+ Not a lot of people have free power.. + halving of Blocks is just around the corner + shipping costs .. - list goes on.

Anyway, good luck with the sales.

Find en 2000w Dell/IBM/HP server PSU eller lignende. De findes billigt på Ebay - og du kan helt sikkert også finde et breakout board til dem til 12v lanes.
34  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Brainstorming Mining room cooling - Need advice on: September 06, 2015, 12:40:39 PM
Looks way better imho. Should help you when the heat outside is on and then you can switch it off when its not needed.
35  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Brainstorming Mining room cooling - Need advice on: September 04, 2015, 05:17:10 PM
you really dont wanna run these miners at 45C inlet.. thats hot!

First off, fans will be running mad

second - specs says operating temp is 0-40c

thirs, im pretty sure u'll run into some temp issues with the chips - and prolly wont be good for them longterm

You might wanna add some sort of cold air to the mix when its that hot outside
36  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] [EU] Looking to grab a few S5 on: August 30, 2015, 07:00:32 PM
Hi

Im looking to grab a few S5's if possible.

No escrow - no deal
new members - no deal

Lets hear if anyone has something they wanna offload.

I have some S5 for sale.
I have put some of the S5 in S3 housing with 2x S3 fan.

But the price for them is 1.65 BTC + shipping

How many are "some" ? - I would like "Original" S5's not modded ones.

40  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN launches 4th generation Bitcoin mining ASIC: BM1385 on: August 20, 2015, 06:50:02 PM
“We anticipate that before we release our full-custom 16 nanometer chip, the BM1385 will continue to be the industry standard for the bitcoin mining industry,” said Bitmain co-founder Wu Jihan. “We will continue to strive for more efficiency and lower costs for our customers.”

and the S7 IS NOT THE 16nm full customized chip so I am still going to wait.

16nm is bling bling expensive. And, why kick themselves in the nuts by going to fast forward - they still do well with 28nm.

considering BitFury already has FULL CUSTOM at 28 nm at 0.2 and ALREADY taped out at 0.05 with TSMC - I wish BITMAIN lots of luck. I also wish BITMAIN customers stength and hope they will ever see the return on investment.

Which we havent seen actual proof of have we? - and, if they do, its not going to be commonly available to the mortals

If Bitmain wasn't going to sell miners to 'home' users, then why even make the announcement?  I'm sure that Bitmain already has several large 'professional' accounts that would really like to buy the newest chips.

Sure they do, but i'd be willing to bet they havent taped out on 16nm yet. So sure, these chips are possibly already in large scale production - or very very close - but they need to bring the little people in aswell, thats where they make the most profit per sold miner - hense fund their future R&D
