21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin Revival 100% Proof Of Stake 15% Stake Rate [DRM] on: June 19, 2014, 10:13:36 PM
Hello Dreamers,
So I officially hate FedEx. I got my work box, but it is destroyed. I will post pics later. Fortunately this is just a hiccup and minor delay. I'm having one of my other miners shipped to me for parts. Sorry for this delay I was wanting to get back to work on some things. I will also be posting an outline soon as I have been scouting and recruiting other coders. Once again I do apologize for the delay this is frustrating me as well...

Johnny

Not sure how flexible are you. But check in with Libertycoin. They are looking for an active dev to takeover the project. It would be great since XLB and DRM are clones.
At the moment I will not be taking on any other coins. Dreamcoin is my priority and I am applying my focus to it.

Hello Dreamers,
My work box arrived today Smiley
I will start working on new graphics after I get set up in the next day or two. I have had some ideas rolling through my head lately. I have also been meeting with other coders and will put a general outline up soon too.
As always I thank you all for your patience and support. Dream coin has big days ahead

Hello Dreamers,

Just a couple more days until I can get to work on a couple ideas.
sorry this is taking so long. I had unforeseen events occur.
My primary focus is on the android wallet. Afterward my marketing plan will be put in full swing.
In the meantime I have been extending my network. I will make details available once I have more definitive news.

As always Dreamers I thank you for your patience
johnny

Hey johnny, I can help setup the paper wallet if needed.  If you send me the design, I can have a paper wallet generator up pretty quick.

Awesome! Smiley My workbox was shipped today I will receive it on Tuesday. That will be a huge help towards the right direction.
PM me an email address
Thank you for your help with everything.

Nothing really happens usually when you try to revive a coin. I don't even know how this one died... good luck anyway.
Dreamcoin is not dead it just has not been relying on hype and though things have been quiet I have been strategically maneuvering.
I am now in Tempe Arizona, just off of ASU campus. I know several people out here and am well networked. I will be starting a canvasing campain and have a couple of marketing strategies planned out.
I have began face to face crypto education and we should soon see new influxes of investors. My biggest concentration of concern is lying on an android app. My work computer will be shipped to me soon I should get it around middle of the week. I do not have a time estimate for the app but it is my main concern as it makes for easier introduction and acceptance. I would also like to get a nice paper wallet generator made I will be designing a custom paper wallet and I will be working on enhancing our marketing image and presence...

As always Dreamers I thank you for your patience

I just sent a message to Bittrex and hopefully they are receptive to my request to keep Dreamcoin...
In the meantime start mining at our new multi pool and boost our volume.
We have a lot of big things being worked on unfortunately I am rebuilding from the rep of the previous dev and this isn't the best place to start from as a lot of investors wrote us off and it is going to take me some time to spread the word on the ground...

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin Revival 100% Proof Of Stake 15% Stake Rate [DRM] on: June 10, 2014, 08:16:25 PM
Hello Dreamers sorry for the delayed response. I just made a trip across country and am getting things in order. For those concerned about a multi pool I will check progress on this. We do have more than one in progress though.

I haven't looked at CRY whitepaper I can check that out soon, My internet connectivity is going to be limited for the next few days... I apologize for this.

As far as the logo is concerned if the community feels the need to change it I will not stand in the way.

I will start a poll soon. EDIT: poll started

Source code was pulled from Dreamcoin we looked into it after it was posted earlier and people were pointing at us. It was pulled from my repository specifically. There were still sections in the code that only could come from there...

EDIT: Honorcoin source code

Thanks i'm going to take a look.

No problem. I am really getting sick of all the scams in crypto today. Eventually these people are going to come under a hammer that they don't even want to know...

Sorry Johnny_non

Thought honorcoin could have been a help, but the coins i' mining  and their dev's just ain't working for me , strike II LOL.

(Will Truckcoin be number three I put it in my sig just be careful , I hope not at least thats dev not rushing to put  it on an exchange, strike III ?)

At least the link 'CoinJoin' may have been of some informative help.

Putting my head back into the sand bucket of crypto-coins . LOL.

GO Dreamers.

No worries, I am not placing any blame. The concept was interesting and if it was on the level would have been an incredible act. I appreciate you bringing it to my attention none the less.
I personally am getting tired of all the scams in crypto. They keep on popping up more often. I don't rush into anything I would have watched its development and would have waited before serious consideration to implement would have ever occurred. I am one that believes in a solid product before release, and don't want to issue fifty wallets in a month before i get it right. That to me is responsible and unprofessional. I will keep things pretty low key until i have something to show, Half baked plans usually fall flat and it's best to be leery of big promises. There is no reason to rush out a coin today without finishing promised features first. I was not the original developer for Dreamcoin, and never intended to be this deeply involved with it's development. Otherwise I have had no desire to release my own coin. That being said however if i were to ever release a coin I would wait until I had all the ducks lined up first before I started shooting. The only reason I can see to rush a  release to market is to cash in. Be leery of premines and promises. They tend to be omens of ill intent.

Honorcoin has nothing to do with Dreamcoin or vice versa.
I am the lead Dev for Dreamcoin. I have nothing to do with this what so ever.
The anonymity air drop was brought to my attention yesterday.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=625460.0
Being that code is open source anybody can grab the code and do as they please.
Do not make misleading statements. I am not a scammer nor is anyone on my team.
It's statements like yours that make it difficult to spot a scam anymore.
If people didn't call every coin a scam, people might be more apt to listen.
Once again to make this clear. Dreamcoin and it's dev team have nothing to do with Honorcoin.
Thank you
johnny

Hi Dreamers,

Just thought i would post this regarding honorcoin its proposing an open source 'Anonymity Airdrop' could this be a potential solution for dreamcoin?

Copy of there document/news
Quote
The problem

In the Honorcoin team, we are concerned about the privacy issues Bitcoin-based cryptocurrencies have. Right now, the 99% percent of the altcoins have not addressed this problem, mainly, because many developers do not have the expertise to develop a solution. Only a few coins have come with a solution for their own Blockchains, such as Darkcoin, Fedoracoin and others. Their solution is against cryptocurrency fundamentals, and what Satoshi Nakamoto wanted for Bitcoin. They have come up with a solution that is not open source, and they are not willing to share it with the rest of the coins, and teach how to implement it. Close-source solutions are dangerous to the Cryptocurrency space. If Bitcoin’s source code was not open source it would not have succeeded. Open source and cooperation is what drives cryptocurrencies. We need to stop closed-source solutions.

The Solution: Anonymity Airdrop

We have developed a thin wallet that connects to Nodes using a mixing system based in CoinJoin.
This system will be entirely open source and we will publish a guide on how to easily set it up for any other altcoin.

Anonymity Airdrop
We have decided to call this event the
Anonymity Airdrop since this software release will be a major change for cryptocurrencies in general.
From this moment, every altcoin will have an anonymity solution
. Close-source solutions like Darksend will no longer have the monopoly in Anonymity, and much likely become obsolete, for innovation is better in open source systems

Calendar:
June 9th – Daemon Beta Release and Technical Whitepaper.
June 16th – Anonymity Airdrop: Source code and how to guide."

Could this be the future of Crypto-currencies ?

Edit Found this link for CoinJoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=279249.0

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.  I will keep an eye on it's progress. This sounds like an interesting concept and I agree that much of the driving force and base principles of cryptocurrencies lies in open source software development...

Keep the DREAM alive guys.  I will have a much anticipate announcement for us in a couple days.

good to know. we been so quiet recently,, really need some enlightenment.
Quiet isn't always bad, As I've stated before we're in calm waters not still waters our undercurrents are moving.
I wish to develop Dreamcoin into more of a common wealth than a whale feast. so it will take time and nothing will ever be hyped. It's going to work more grass roots small investors I would rather have people that put in $20 never desperate to get it out than someone dropping $!000 and looking for a quick turn around. If we have lots of small investors that don't look for quick cash outs we can keep a sustained value for all. Maybe I'm a fool with an idealistic notion but I believe in doing things for the greater good
We still have other developments coming and Dreambig should have a multi pool up soon. We also have a couple other pools coming and some other things in the works .

I dream of cryptcoins that have side-chain p2pool built in, with distributed mining, and no need for central pool servers.
I dream of built-in cross-chain trading, so I can trade dreamcoin for catcoin without ever using a centralized exchange.
I dream of anonymity features that charge the people wanting to be anonymous 5% per transaction, and 10% per year of what they want to hold anonymously, and those fees get re-distributed as a cryptocoin basic income guarantee to everyone willing to say who and where they are.

Johnny: People remember when you do things for the greater good. It pays off in the long run.
I'll start of with saying I take everybody's opinions as valid and will address everything you have stated here.
First off being that Dremcoin is 100% POS and there is no POW mining outside of a multipool and that would completely invalidate the p2pool concept and cross chain trading as any acquisition of Dreamcoins at this point will have to come from an exchange or a direct peer exchange.
I also believe privacy is a fundamental right that should not hold a tariff. Paying a tax for privacy is not something I would support in the slightest as it goes against some of my core beliefs.
I have been looking deeply into methods of anonymization of transaction data and will not short cut this. Privacy is serious.
So far every method i have seen proposed has been flawed. I like the Zerocoin/Zerocash methods and align closest to this I would like to find the appropriate coders with the capacity to refine the transaction bloat which is one of the flaws in zerocoin. I like the concept of a phantom sidechain and have been discussing some options with some people this is merely an idea in concept phases at the time. As previously stated i am looking for strong coders to assist in this. In the coming weeks as I am in my hometown I have a greater base of human assets to talk these things over with as well as push forward a grassroots movement to find small investors and bring new people into crypto...

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - 0.9.1.1 - NEW THREAD on: June 06, 2014, 03:10:27 AM
Unfortunately until a proper algorithm is in place that doesn't have a ridiculously sensitive difficulty adjustment that creates outrageous block times cat is kind of stuck.
I have argued and argued that things are not working and even that 10 minute block times as it is were unreasonable. Only to be met with denial and argumentative resistance...

Copying btc in this environment doesnt seem viable... .
I agree i think cat should be agile and fast I have argued for 1 minute block times Others think cat should be a lazy loaf about
Some have even denied any problem with the current algorithm and accused me of trying to kill the coin for not wanting to try to sell a coin that couldn't be spent.
Honestly who wants to wait 16 hours for a transaction to be fully cleared. I can't think of any one. Please enlighten me if you can...
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unmoderated XC thread on: June 06, 2014, 01:45:37 AM
xnode is useless.
When you use xnode, you risk your coins.
xnode can steal your coins.

What actually xnode is doing ?

A/you --> xnode --> B

When you send coins using xnode, it's written to blockchain with xnode address.
Real payee address B is transfered to xnode with hoping xnode to deliver coins to B.

To avoid double spending, xnode need to wait at least 2 ~ n confirmation.

xode is Time/Block delayed postbox/transporter.

As coins sent to xnode address, not real payee B, coins are belong to xnode.
xnode should send coins to B.

Receiving coins and Sending coins are not occurred simultaneously.

I have the concern of this in any node based system of mixing and transfer. Also the stated revision 2 of multi path mixing I feel may lead to other issues.
Not only has it been proposed that you can send more coins (it is now set at 10 max) but by splitting transactions you are going to bloat the blockchain data
There are so many reasons that this method is flawed.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHARE]ShareCoin - Pure POS - The only coin backed up by a real bussiness on: June 05, 2014, 10:15:48 PM
I'm still puzzled by this

Zip could have made more money opening up another fee share buy than he did by running
He probably would have made more off next coin over the coming weeks.
He'll he could have made more selling the 20 million sharecoin he had control of.

Oh well guess we will find out in the coming week.
I have my theories, but it's all a little tinfoil hatish
I wish to hear this tinfoil hat theory
