21  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I want to buy merit from a forum member ???? on: June 23, 2018, 06:54:36 PM
Glad to see that OP wasn't negged for this. New members come and make mistakes, they should be given the chance to rectify their errors, and be shown the correct way, rather than just discarded as is so often the case with some DT members tagging them. To OP, simply contribute as best you can, over time you will learn, and with time comes success. Recognising ones mistakes is always a good sign of great potential later.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: now bear market again. wait for november on: June 23, 2018, 06:52:28 PM
Everyone always gives a random date pulled out of their ass about when the market will return to usual again.... What makes you think it will happen in November? Do you think investors are periodic creatures that only invest once every 12 months? Or maybe you're like one of those people who says wait until after Chinese new year, wait until after the SEC meeting, wait until we land on the moon again! The truth is, nobody knows when it will regain the hype, if ever.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to deal with multiple accounts and abusing faucet? on: June 22, 2018, 06:55:38 PM
Every website that offers free faucet has to deal with this issue, it's normally wise to implement security measures before launching a faucet so you don't have the headache later. But there are a few simple tricks you can do that make it harder;

1. Prevent sign ups from temporarily email domains
2. Block all VPNS/Tor/Sock5
3. Restrict accounts to 1 per IP address, but don't make this rule public knowledge otherwise it will be circumvented.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play online casino? if Yes... on: June 22, 2018, 06:48:47 PM
You're missing one of the major options there, which is new coins! Yes, we know they're sometimes difficult to implement, or there won't be much of a player base at first, but don't you know that Bitcoin is as successful today because it was first accepted on casinos? It takes time for success, and accepting something before it's due will actually yield benefits for everyone as it increases the utility of the crypto, and hence its value.
25  Economy / Speculation / Re: discuss the market? on: June 22, 2018, 06:46:32 PM
I personally think that Bitcoin is in very bad waters right now, and it will take some significant good news to bring it out of the red for any major stretch of time. Right now, we're in a sea of negative press, FUD and hysteria about cryptocurrency, the weak hands are selling and the market is being flooded with coins from Mt Got dropping the price. The price will not increase considerably until there is a reason for it to do so.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: I need more money to invest now! on: June 22, 2018, 06:40:59 PM
Everybody always says they're so glad that the price of bitcoin has dropped, and that they can't wait to buy back in, but I think it's a lie. Everybody worries when Bitcoin drops so significantly in such a short period of time. There's nothing that can be done to avoid it. The truth is, people are most likely just saying this to prevent other people from dumping further, which leads to a whole mess of confusion about the truth behind the market movements. Just play it safe, and wait for good news, then buy back in.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WON 2000+ LTC on Fortunejack - is Fj broke ? Resolved on: June 21, 2018, 10:35:06 PM
Wow, 2,000 LTC is a crazy amount of money to win playing dice. You must be one of the highest winners on there in terms of absolute LTC won (recently at least, as people would gamble hundreds of LTC at once when they were like $4 each). Realistically however, it shouldn't be a problem simply withdrawing 60 or so LTC per day for the next month, and you'll have withdrawn your entire balance. Yes, it's going to be a pain, but it's unlikely that FJ simply has thousands of LTC sitting around in a hot wallet ready for withdrawal.

However, I suspect if you email their support team, they'll manually move your funds to a hot wallet ready for total withdrawal. Good luck, and great job!

29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GGG vs Canelo II on: June 19, 2018, 09:34:15 AM
Ok let me try to get it straight.

In the first fight, Saul Alvarez took the lionshare's of the purse. Splitting 70-30 on his favor. Golovkin then retains all his belt as a result. It ended up in a draw and both verbally agreed to a rematch but then time is 65-35, which is fair in my opinion. However, Saul Alvarez was caught with steroids on his system, causing the May fight cancelled. Golovkin then beat Vanes and broke Bernard Hopkins of 18 successful defense of the Middleweight crown. Now here's my take.

Canelo has more bargaining power now since (a) Saul Alvarez was suspended because of illegal substance on his system (b) He broke Hopkins record (c) he is the undisputed champion. So I think he has all the rights to at least a 50-50 split and eventhough he and his team verbally agreed on the 65-35 at the time because the result of the VADA wasn't well known yet.

But as mentioned, dela Hoya shouldered the remaining 2.5%, 57.5-42.5, but Golovkin rejected. So at the last minute, and to salvage the fight, he had to cough out that remaining 2.5% so that Golovkin will get 45%.

And as everyone who follow the first fight, it was a robbery indeed and I hope Golovkin winning. He did the damage early and I don't think that the championship was enough for Alvarez to rally to at least make it a draw.

I think you mean that Golovkin has more bargaining power now, Canelo is the nickname of Saul Alvarez. I don't think GGG's destruction of Vanes has much to do with this position for the next fight. Also, where did you read that Canelo took the major share of the first purse? Doesn't seem realistic considering GGG was the A side?
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GGG vs Canelo II on: June 19, 2018, 05:43:16 AM
Well, I really don't see why juicelo should get anywhere near the Lion's share of the split, firstly he was suspended and fined for tested positive for a banned substance, which he claims was due to eating raw meat or something ridiculous. Canelo is obviously doing something suspicious, his physique has changed in such an unusual way recently as he's been climbing to the top of the rankings.

That being said, Golovkin was completely robbed in their first fight, every score card had it in GGG's favor except that one female judge who was obviously watching a different fight, or must have been on drugs if she thought that Canelo won it by such a margin. I mean come on, you could give him a few round maybe 3-4, but he really didn't do too much in the other rounds. In any case, I am pretty sure that the doping testing procedures for this next fight will be massively improved again, so Canelo won't be able to get away with cheating.

GGG is getting a little old now however, Canelo is still young and fresh, it's going to be a brawl but I think GGG is just too much of a beast to be stopped. It will likely to go a points decision at the end, I'll be putting my money on UD for Golovkin, maybe a smaller amount on SD, but I really doubt there will be a KO/TKO or retirement from either side.

Edit: I think a 65:35 split is fair, given the robbery in the last fight, and juicing allegations.

32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2 months cycle on: June 13, 2018, 10:14:33 PM
I think that the cycle you're seeing is just coincidence, I don't believe anybody out there has enough coins or organisation to pump and dump bitcoin as much as we have been seeing lately. This isn't like 2017, the market isn't just going to continue rising due to FOMO, that has come and gone, and it will take another year or so for the dust to settle, so a new wave of FOMO can begin.

That being said, I really don't think we'll see $5,000 this year, that's just a huge drop and too much of a psychological hurdle to overcome. Expect to see Bitcoin float above $6k+ for the immediate future.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] ARBITAO: The New Way of Arbitrage Trading on: June 13, 2018, 09:20:53 PM
It's been a long time since I've seen a well designed ANN thread like this one. This really does look like a serious project, great design, working product and excellent team, seems like this one is a shoe-in for success. Having looked at your website, it doesn't appear that the bounty portal is setup yet? Or will you be running it via a separate bounty thread? In any case, this looks like a great project and I will be following along closely.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin will double its value by the end of the year? on: June 11, 2018, 03:52:15 PM
There are always predictions both for an against the direction of bitcoin. All holders seem to believe that Bitcoin will double or even triple in value by the end of the year, whilst all day traders think that it's likely to either trade side ways, or +/- 25% of so. Asking a community such as this you're likely to get responses in both directions, so there's almost no benefit to asking, as you'll tend to believe only the comments that match your previous expectations.

That being said, it is my opinion that Bitcoin will continue to stagnate around $6-8,000 for the next few months at least, until we see some reason for it to go up in value.

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Goes Green on: May 26, 2018, 07:43:42 PM
99% of cryptocurrencies on the market are green today, +1-3%, this means absolutely nothing for XRP.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty campaign - waste of time or great passive income? on: May 25, 2018, 07:58:51 AM
I definitely wouldn't say that bounties are a passive income... You know that passive income simply means that you earn whilst not putting in any effort? E.g. You earn money in the background due to your prior efforts. Unless you have got some sort of bot that automatically participates in bounties for you with no manual effort whatsoever then it's not passive.

That being said, you shouldn't discount bounties. Sometimes they can be quite profitable, get into the right ones and do a good job and if the project is a success you will handsomely rewarded.
38  Other / Meta / Re: New Report to moderator stats ;) thank you theymos on: May 21, 2018, 10:33:28 PM
I guess I need to step it up... Only 95% accuracy.

Still it's good to show the users some stats about their work, let them know that what they are doing is actually contributing some value to the forum.

Would be nice to also see a breakdown of who had the most accurate reports, could be like a competition (perhaps to decide the next mod?)
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is rank of bounty manager is really matters? on: May 20, 2018, 07:23:25 PM
The rank of the bounty manager doesn't really have any direct correlation to the strength of the bounty, or the efficiency of its management.

A lot of ICOs launch their own bounty on a copper member account with almost no activity, that doesn't mean that it will fail or that it will be badly managed.

That being said, most of the best bounty managers will have been around for a long time, and hence will have experience under their belts, but there are likely a few noobs (relatively speaking) that are exceptions to the rule.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best country for crypto on: May 20, 2018, 07:18:09 PM
A lot of people are saying Estonia is good for crypto. If you take a lot at a lot of upcoming ICOs, many of them have their business registered in Estonia.

There are quite a few countries that haven't actually got a stance on cryptocurrency yet, so technically they're the best ones to live in if you earn a lot of crypto, as you are unlikely to be taxed on this earnings.
