21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Tutorial] Making your crypto inheritible on: January 06, 2021, 11:59:46 PM
I have separate bitcoin wallets for each of my two families so if something happens they each gain access to one. Not that I want to die before them though. I won't be having kids so there will be nothing for anyone to inherit. I obviously should stay alive longer than them so I will leave my private keys in my will and give them to somewhere it will help as a donation.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to cheat with Bitcoin! be careful on: January 06, 2021, 11:58:29 PM
If you give someone your money who tells you they will make 4x it then it's difficult to feel sorry for you and you deserved it. There, is stupid.... and there, is stupid....
Not really worth making a post about this we all know. It would have been better if you found at least some scams that try to be "clever" and warn us of those.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proved it once again on: January 06, 2021, 11:47:12 PM
It's a myth that other coins pump along with bitcoin always. Yes, often it happens with the main players once everyone is excited about trading and profiting so they spill their bitcoin into other currencies.
A currency I held onto had its value stay the same while the other crypto went up by 2-3x so I should have sold earlier I guess but I thought it would go up as well because bitcoin was.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good mobile wallet on: January 06, 2021, 11:42:13 PM
With mobile wallets, I use electrum and moved from that to my celium because I prefer it and the interface and how it works better. Desktop I use exodus and long term hodl ledger wallet.
Ledger counts as a sort of bank account while the desktop wallet exodus is for trading and larger purchases sometimes. The mobile wallets I don't keep much on just a spendable amount for smaller things.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did I just lose my wallet? on: January 05, 2021, 11:54:37 PM
Ok. This might sound obvious but in these situations, you need to take a deep breath and step back. Do not use your hard drive if you can help it. This is because you are going to want to run recovery software and the more you write to the HDD the harder it is to retrieve. To try to set your mind at ease, I used easeuse file recovery and I retrieve my private key for another currency I wanted to sell.

The other things you can do and I recommend you do this first, most password management software keeps a backup. If you log in you should be able to still see the passwords.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in another Bubble? when will it Burst on: January 05, 2021, 11:44:34 PM
When people say "bubble" idk it fills me with rage. It sounds really stupid. If you believe in bubbles then rather use fiat. Bubble heads only care for profits. Crypto is no bubble. A Ponzi is a bubble. Bitcoin will not crash because it is not a Ponzi. Very simple. If you worried about losing profits just split the bitcoin and USD. Always go with your gut.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi must be spinning in his grave. on: January 05, 2021, 11:36:07 PM
I don't know about you guys but I lost our on an opportunity to make quite a nice profit. Doge and eth went up so much and I wanted to buy some with funds I got from another currency. Now the currency I have didnt go up in price so I will have to pay more for less eth and doge. Sad Oh well.

These fees are killing me though. I paid just under $10 and I custom changed the gas amount so it was much lower and it went through quickly. They wanted to charge me $20. That is just absolutely ridiculous. In some countries, people make less than $20 a day. This definitely doesn't feel like "freedom" to me. I have to justify each purchase I ever make since fees are so high. Unless I use doge or ripple but not everyone supports it.

I have even been suing fiat to buy gift cards since the fees are less. It is cheaper for me to sell ripple directly to the exchange and cash out to my bank.
28  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto profit to bank account without taxes on: January 04, 2021, 11:13:02 PM
It should be fine. I wouldn't worry about it. After you pay tax on your money you can do whatever you want with it and since you pay no tax the tax has already "been paid" and therefore you are free to do as you wish with it.

Yes it is legal no one needs to know where the money comes from that is your bussiness. Also are you 100% sure about this?
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Really bad beginner mistake with bitcoin. Plz HELP on: January 04, 2021, 11:09:37 PM
I highly suggest before you get into anything in life that you research it. Especially finance. You should understand how bitcoin works before even thinking of buying any.

I'm not sure if Robinhood allows users to withdraw cryptocurrencies from their accounts, but you can do it the classic way. Sell all your holdings on Robinhood, transfer them to your bank account, then to an exchange, buy Bitcoin and then transfer them back to your personal wallet - preferably a cold one if you plan to hodl for long-term.

This is the right answer OP. But to what wallet you should use its all depend on you, can buy ledger wallet or use desktop wallet or mobile wallet depends on what you preferred to use that you can own the keys. But first sell all your bitcoin in robin hood and convert it to fiat then  buy from reputable crypto exchange that you can use in your  country .

Yep, the best way to go through it sounds criminal to me. Withdrawing fiat from a crypto exchange is just weird. Sounds very scammy to me. Why would a legit business do this? They wouldn't...
Yes, use local bitcoin traders only. The one I use is not some faceless scam like Binance and such. The owner is actually known and has an actual name and identity. Which means if something goes wrong something can be done, unlike these overseas shithole exchanges.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we deal with all the disgusting snake oil salesmen? on: January 04, 2021, 10:56:31 PM
People who fall for these type of scams are true idiots. Noone is trying to help you get rich. I don't know why people fall into the fallacy that some a hole out there want to make your rich. It doesn't even make sense.
Scams are obvious. As soon as you see expensive cars, pictures of money, hot women and yacht. Promises are the next give away. No one can make promises no one is a fortune teller.
Always ask how the person you are giving money to is going to make a profit off of you.

Then it's down to blind greed & desperation. If you making investments with desperation you are probably going to lose your money.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are people buying BTC @ $27000+ idiots? on: December 30, 2020, 07:20:54 PM
I had to sell during march Sad I am so angry. I might have had over half a bitcoin now. I also made a bad investment in someone 2 years ago that cost me bitcoin. I only made 1/3 of my investment back - the time spent.
I guess I am not alone? Please tell me I am not alone?

Anyone else going through something like I am?
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BCVault or Ledger? on: December 30, 2020, 07:11:27 PM
It is difficult to help you when your explanation is not easy to understand and there is not enough info given. I have a ledger too and I am interested in what has happened with yours. I use the ledger as my main "bank account" which is my permanent account for savings. I then use exodus on my laptop as a "hot wallet" which I use to make payments for things like Netflix, Webhosting, video games, advertising, investments, gift cards etc.

I've never had a problem with either. I have secure backups of both in a secure locaton. I own 3 physical copies of my private keys. My ledger is also in a secure place. (right under your nose) but its the last place you will think to look until you know about it Smiley If I ever have a problem with the ledger I can simply use the private key to retrieve my wallet.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM Find Only 2% Of Bitcoin Transactions Are Unlwaful on: December 30, 2020, 07:01:53 PM
Complete and utter BS!!! There is no way to find out what transactions are used for. What counts as "unlawful" different countries have different laws. Buying cannabis products here it totally 100% legal but in some other countries, it is a "crime" and "unlawful" so that is why I ask my question. Slavery was once part of the law as well so I have 0 belief in the law or those that make them.

2% is way way too high it is probably more like 0.1% Unless you counting drugs then perhaps it is more but I hardly think drugs should be considered something "bad" the most common drug sold is cannabis anyway.

I guess you probably mean most transactions happening on the "dark web" The clear web has had anything that you get on the darkweb since the beginning of the internet so it's nothing new at all. Just using bitcoin to pay is new.

Also, many people consider the silkroad "unlawful" but Ross Ulbricht should never have gotten the punishment he did. All he did was provide a free market. Most open-minded logical people will understand this.
The best way to deal with the failed "drug war" is to simply legalize it. Black markets would no longer work and criminals would lose massive amounts of money overnight. Drugs would no longer be "cut" or "laced" with such things as rat poison which is why there many OD. Pure drugs don't make you OD the way street filth does. The drugs will also be produced by professionals and not some hill billies shake and bake from the back of his van.

Besides 99.99% of the drugs in the world are paid for with fiat. More people trade drugs for other items then they pay for them using bitcoins.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: December 29, 2020, 11:26:54 PM
Precisely. People are silly to think that some famous person that has never spoken about bitcoin before all of a sudden wants to give away large amounts of it. I am not sure what sort of person does this.
I get what you saying and you mostly right but some people do give away free money. Go on youtube and look up "Mr beast" Though it could be argued these people earned and deserve the gift he gives so I guess in a way you are right but it is not like he had to give them anything at all.
35  Other / Archival / Re: 6 Most Popular Criticisms Of Bitcoin on: December 29, 2020, 11:19:41 PM
What gets me is when people say bitcoin is backed by nothing. These people have no idea of how finances and money work at all. Money is supposed to be "backed up" by gold a worthless rock that looks pretty.
Only a very tiny percentage of the total money in circulation is backed by gold. It doesn't even have to be backed by gold or anything for that matter since it merely acts as a place holder of the debt.
That's why it says on notes that you owe the bearer of the note x amount of $$ as long as you possess that note you can trade in items worth the value it says. There never needs to be a single piece of gold.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: December 29, 2020, 11:12:45 PM
I had to sell a lot of my bitcoin during that time Sad I am so pissed off. I knew it was a bad move but I had little choice. Now I can't stop thinking about all the cool things I could have and all the investments I could have opened to make even more crypto and really get on top of things for the next mooning xD
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear on: December 28, 2020, 09:57:39 PM
Hey guys!! I was just watching the new series of Mr Inglesias on NetFlix and at part 3 episode 5 "the dance" @ 7:45 they are talking about twerking & the character played by actress "Sherri Shepard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherri_Shepherd says "You can count me out, I hired a cute single DJ and I'm gonna pay him with my own Cryptocurrency... bootycoin..."

I thought this was pretty cool and immediately opened up my laptop to post here.  Grin
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can go to Zero on: December 27, 2020, 11:44:08 PM
Its not gona happend becouse btc value will be zero it might happend becouse the btc price comes from the Computer system wich reading the prices of the exchangers.

First of all what kind of ghetto talk is that? Grin

NO tradable asset can go to 0 as long as it's still being traded. It's mathematically impossible because you cannot pay 0 for something with a 0 exchange fee.

As long as bitcoin contines to exist and be traded it will have value and it's not even going to be 1 cent or 1 dollar. It's going to be much more.

The OP is a pain and an annoyance that spams nonsensical things all over the forum. Here is just one quote of their unfathomable intellect. "I dont like that not my keys not my btc I think its dumb statement! " such a clever statement to make right? Bait topics and troll topics. Lack of research before making topics leads the user to create topics on things that have already been discussing extensively. There at least 4 topics like this for example.

Anyone who says something can go to zero should not be spoken to ever again. Nothing in this world has a value of 0. Everything has a value it's the basic laws of the universe. Even if bitcoin stopped being traded entirely it still would have value because there would be people willing to buy wallets with bitcoin in them as collector's items or just because they can.
39  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Sell Casino and adlinkfly scripts with account codecanyon 1 on: December 27, 2020, 11:21:36 PM
Why would you be selling something that is worth $220 for only $100 or $50? You will probably just contact the admin of the website and say you were hacked or something and get your account back.
Or the licenses have already been used.
40  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [NEW] - EarnX.eu - PTC | Offerwall | Video's | Direct & in-direct referral $$$$ on: December 27, 2020, 11:18:14 PM
Why are you on a cryptocurrency forum for bitcoin if you only allow Paypal deposit? You are turning down so many people and losing profit and it makes no sense at all. Paypal of all things yuck!!
What's wrong with you? Paypal is also more dangerous for you to use so I really can't understand your thinking here. But I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere.
