21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: centralize money vs. decetralized money (bitcoin) on: November 06, 2018, 01:03:38 PM
centralize money = biggest fraud in the world but most people don't get it, the value of fiat money decreased over time.
decentralized money = better than fiat currency obviously, there are several shortages though, especially in terms of acceptance and massive adoption.
22  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-31]China Ready for Cryptos, Circulation & Transaction of Bitcoin is Leg on: November 01, 2018, 05:29:37 PM
Another worthless news created by a second hand news source.
For people who really fact finds the news the already know by now that China isn't really a strict country when it comes to cryptocurrency.

The only one creating the wrong impression is because of these kinds of news sources creating junk content.

This is just a minor court ruling with precedent but it didn't stop their local businesses on accepting cryptos as mode of payment in their country, the court maybe just proceeded with the sessions in order of formality
.

Did you read the news? I can see contradictory on your statement.
Judge it as worthless and junk content but stated China isn't a strict country regarding cryptocurrency and local businesses still accepting crypto as a payment method.
That exactly the article mentioned about merchants in China can legitimately accept digital currency as a method of payment according to a report by CnLedger.
"The Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration legally deemed Bitcoin (BTC) as property, permitting users and businesses to own and transfer BTC without being in conflict with extant financial regulations."

Well, doesn't mean PBOC will just accept it as they want to strengthen regulatory supervision towards digital currency, only time will tell, let's see what will happen later.
23  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Yobit is scam or Ponzi! on: October 30, 2018, 11:48:18 PM
Too many negative reviews lead to scam accusation which clearly not a trusted exchange to deposit our funds.
Yobit isn't an exchange for ordinary people as too many manipulations especially for shit coins, perfectly suitable for pump and dump groups. No wonder why this exchange still exists due to they still gain profits out of those groups.
24  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear time is near to end on: October 30, 2018, 11:18:28 PM
I would like to know what is the basis for such predictions that bear market will end soon. When you dig a little bit deeper it turns out this is actualy only hope and wishful thinking. I haven't seen any analysis or other information that would point the bear time is going to end and the bull run is going to start.
Unless I see any kind of proof for that I don't expect to see any changes.

Agreed, according to the chart, he predict that bitcoin will recover to $10K in the early of 2019 and reach over $100K in mid 2019.
Bitcoin price rises up rapidly last year until January 2018 and then corrected gradually. We should know that Bitcoin price pump up significantly within a short period isn't health market at all, because people flocked to invest due to they thought bitcoin will give huge profits just in a few months and then cash out happened.
But at least we know the potential of gain and loss in crypto-world. Bitcoin bull run in this year surely gives an opportunity for newcomers to invest in the bearish market. Whether it will take 2-3 months to rise up again, depends on the development and acceptance across the globe. Another critical factor of bitcoin to rise is regulation, most of the scrutiny has come from the big banks and government regulators such as happened in China, South Korea, Japan and lately in India. More or less, it still affects people's decision to invest or leave the crypto market for good.
25  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-29] Minor Crypto Exchange Pulls Off Exit Scam, Steals All User Funds on: October 29, 2018, 11:51:58 PM
A negative side of an exchange with all of the suspicious behavior. Once again, an exchange is not a place to keep funds or coins for a long time, just assume we don't have anything before withdraw. Propel should aware of such things, especially when dealing with the small unregulated exchange.
MapleChange had announced on twitter that they have no more funds to pay anyone back.” Seems like they put all of the coins in hot wallet, lol. If Maplechange have planned exit scam, they may have fled abroad.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many exchanges? on: October 26, 2018, 03:36:12 PM
~
This will be a positive thing because then we can choose the best one including the number of exchanges currently available.

Indeed, more exchanges emerge indicate positive development and adoption of cryptocurrencies across the world and give us more option to trade on other exchanges abroad which may have significantly different prices regarding deposits, withdrawals, and other transaction fees.
Moreover, cryptocurrencies rates vary from one exchange platform to another, the prices can fluctuate even up to 10% at a time, especially on exchanges in Asia region.
Nevertheless, it's not easy to register on the exchange overseas which require id for kyc policy.
27  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-05]54% of Analyzed Crypto Exchanges Fail to Satisfy Proper Security Req on: October 23, 2018, 04:42:47 PM
~
In other words, whatever an exchange does, it's wrong. It's better to do "wrong" and get rid of instant withdrawals entirely and prevent hacks, than to do "wrong" by letting people withdraw any amount in an instant with the risk of getting hacked, which happens frequently enough.

If an exchange get hacked and I lose coins/funds, is it the exchange fault? Yes. But 100% their fault? No, as I choose to deposit on that exchange.
I would say it's a gamble; to put money or coins on the exchange until we withdraw it. Yes, the most secure is to keep ours on cold storage, off the grid, and then sometimes we have to trade on exchanges, right? But everyone should aware if they deal with exchanges there is a chance to lose it all, it's part of the risk.
28  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-05]54% of Analyzed Crypto Exchanges Fail to Satisfy Proper Security Req on: October 21, 2018, 11:59:31 PM
I like what Bitmex is doing, they don't use hot wallets at all; all they do is process withdrawals manually once a day and that's it. It means less convenience, but more security, so what are exchanges waiting for?

Yeah, it would work great for people who look for a better security, but not for those who want to trade instantly and intensely, deposit and withdraw as fast as possible.
Keep the majority of coins on cold storage and constantly refill the hot wallet for the daily transactions still a good decision for some exchanges, I would go for it as well.
Nevertheless, it's a hard work as the war against intruders and hackers takes place every day, so exchanges have to do maintenance periodically.

bitfinex essentially used to leave all customer BTC in a hot wallet too. as the story goes, giancarlo got tired of being woke up in the middle of the night to refill the hot wallet. so they developed the bitgo multi-factor system where they kept all keys (bitcoin and bitgo API) online.

and poof, there goes 120k bitcoins.

That's the first time I've heard that detail about Bitfinex. They could've employed some gimp to do the refills ~

That's rude my friend, pardon me, even for gimp can run away with all of the bitcoins if he want to.
The hardest thing in business is finding trustworthy people, so the best option is your family, brothers, sisters, or wife. But make sure you have a good relationship with them. Cheesy
29  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CryptoTable - Compare cryptocurrency prices at crypto exchanges in one place. on: October 14, 2018, 01:22:14 PM
It's been a while, but I never close your site page on my browser, have to say it's helpful especially the automatically update price every few seconds, don't have to always refresh the page to check the latest price. hopefully, the crypto news aggregator can work the same way as the indexer.
Use this form to add market pair you want to see here. is this the form to vote for more exchange on the list of indexer or vote for new coins to be listed?
You have listed 16 exchanges on indexer, add some famous exchanges that have large trading volumes such as Bithumb and Binance.
If possible to add another coins price indexer, such as ETH will be great.
30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is 10% a week posible on: October 14, 2018, 12:23:34 PM
For some people, it's possible even easy but not for others, depends on your trading skill, information source, and comprehensive knowledge to assess the market movement.
The most important thing is Knowledge for sure, you have to keep up on the latest market news and events that affect crypto-world.
The chance to get 10% a week just from trading a single coin barely impossible, so list some famous coins which fluctuate more than 3% per week, check the liquidity, volatility and trading volume. Divide your capital and set maximum loss, set limit orders for buy and sell, don't be too greedy.
Well, good luck.

You can learn from this source: cryptotrendspotter
It's from my friend, who developing this way to help which coins to choose for trade.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Angel (or big) investor is needed on: October 12, 2018, 04:17:24 PM
This project has been launched since last year, it's almost a year. Ann Link
There are a lot of ETH clones coins in the market, and all of those clones are not better than the original ETH, same as some clones trying to copy BTC, push to fork but ended created some new coins, but it can't be same as bitcoin. After read some reviews and all the time "afterether team" spend to develop AET coin, just can't see a sign that indicates this project towards success.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: What manipulators want on: October 12, 2018, 12:27:12 AM
I think the 'manipulators' are less frightening than some of you might think. It's probably safe to say that the spot market has become nothing more than a tool to boost their leveraged trades on platforms such as BitMex. Back in the days it was more like them accumulating plenty of coins, pump the market, then dump at others. Right now it's more like them solely resetting the spot market to levels within a safe range.

There doesn't seem to be much desire for them to tank the market to insanely lower levels for maximum profits (at least for now). If they are in for a wild ride, they'll just increase their leverage multipliers and reset the spot market to levels at which their gains are satisfying enough. As long there is enough respect for $5800 people should not worry.

Exchanges globally should put some effort into finding out who and what is contributing to these obvious price resets. As long as that doesn't happen, whales will continue to have free game.

So basically you were telling us that whales can or will not going to break the whole economy down by manipulating prices?
yes, manipulators just want profits by selling at the higher peak, not to break the whole economy. There is something called "price resistant" because not everyone influenced to sell bitcoin and they prefer to hold.

That is true but what they leave after changing prices is a big problem for us small time traders. I really am hoping to that might aswell limiting trades per day but this also removes cryptos opportunities to bitcoins economic growth.
I never heard any exchange limiting trades per day, it's a free global market, people are free to buy and sell as much as they want as long as the volume in an exchangebis enough. The problem is, sometimes exchange place fake volume on their sites to attract people.

Quote
I also doubt that exchanges will be going to take an effort for that especially if they are the most beneficial aside from the whales when it comes to sudden change of prices
Correct, exchanges have the power to control all transactions in their platform, including taking the chance to sell bitcoin at the highest peak or buy at the lowest price. It's a race against time, whoever can buy and sell at the right time will get bigger profits than others.
33  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Rahakott - Anonymous multicurrency cryptowallet + mixer on: October 11, 2018, 05:04:19 PM
How can we trust you? What is your business model to earn money and maintain yourself?
We're planning to profit from exchange operations between various currencies. Basic features of the wallet are free of charge.

We are functioning as a wallet service for 2 years, and since then we didn’t hear anything bad about us, didn’t have any technical problem, reliable resources writing reviews about us. As a cryptoworld history shows us having legal, registered entity can’t be a guarantee itself, quite the opposite, in fact. Publicity and exposure is a harmful thing for creators of cryptowallets. This way philosophy behind cryptocurrencies would be lost – freedom from supervision. Yes, we defy any mechanisms of control and influence on us and sometimes this comes at the cost of our product image, but we firmly believe that community needs a project like this and this is the way exactly how it should look like. If you think otherwise, I want to hear your point on how anonymous wallet should make its way to this world.

Fair enough, you have the point of anonymous crypto wallet.
I have read some reviews and yeah it's going pretty well and positive according to the articles.
quote: “over USD 10 million in Bitcoin were transferred through the service, which inspires trust. Quick, instant and friendly support by the wallet developers. Should you try out the wallet? Definitely/ The service is supremely hospitable, and is always ready to welcome you.”
Hopefully, rahakott team could maintain its credibility and trust over time.
and oh, I like the interface, simplicity is good.

some questions:
- how about the exchange operations between various currencies? are you referring to only cryptocurrencies?
- any option or plan to exchange, deposit, withdraw using fiat currencies (USD/Euro)?
- is there any plan to create the rahakott wallet on iOs and android? or maybe it's already on progress?
- Rahakott was launched on November 12, 2017 Link 2, this means Rahakott has been around for 1 year? slightly less

Thumbs up for this thread, have to bookmark this Grin

Speaking of Bitcointalk trolls, most members will admit that they missed the Legendary kwukduck. Its a continues love hate relationship between Bitcointalk and kwukduck, that sometimes when you read his post, it will give you a good chuckle.  Grin

Sadly he's not active anymore, it's really a joy to read his funny thoughts on how bitcoin will end badly, influence others to panic sell and invest on altcoins.
35  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: %100 investment on: October 11, 2018, 10:59:08 AM
~sorry just want to confirm if there is any platform were you can invest and earn %80 to %100 of your investment, ~

Seems like you want payback in a short time, do you? there's no such thing. If there is, it should be a long-term investment. However, no guarantee you can make it back 80%-100% in crypto as most investment works the same way, no one can assure if a platform will be profitable in the long run, sometimes the result is good but sometimes it's not.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How can I create a bitcoin QR code securely? on: October 09, 2018, 07:51:03 AM
So they do selective scamming? Address 3Jqm9TynrExdKifkwdmVGfcYpz3nmQqnVT has received over 4 Bitcoin.
Most likely yes, as I have tried another address but the result still that address. Whatever address we submit, the QR code generated refers to that address. Sadly if 4 bitcoin comes from innocent people who didn't aware of this matter.

Quote
This makes it very important to test your QR-codes before ever using them, but I wouldn't know  how te securely test a private key code other than with a phone that will never go online after that.

Yeah, double check before putting bitcoin on the line as there is no payback.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How can I create a bitcoin QR code securely? on: October 09, 2018, 06:51:29 AM
Just use Google's API:

Yes, that would work great for public keys.  I would think any of the "a lot of bitcoin QR creation tools" mentioned by the OP could do that.  Him mentioning "secure" makes me think he's wanting to make a QR code for a private key.

Yes, it makes me wonder whether it is safe to generate bitcoin QR code online since there are many sites offers this service. After googling, chose one site on top of the search (bitcoinqrcodegenerator.w**) and then try to generate my address (bc1qf7zhzckwr2nymljs5m7tdm0qx7nwslg5sde30p)

The result was surprised me because the QR code generated refers to address (3Jqm9TynrExdKifkwdmVGfcYpz3nmQqnVT) I have tried it 3 times, still generated that address. and then I thought; maybe it is another address of mine, connected. Check it through blocktrail. But it totally different address.

Tried another site, bitcoin-qr-code.com/qr3 but the result is disappointing as well.

So, this is probably why OP ask it in the first place.

38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Professionals traders' opinion! on: October 09, 2018, 03:43:47 AM
~ many of us that buy bitcoin in January and February are still holding at loss. ~

Correct, the biggest problem regarding investing in cryptocurrency is to predict the peak and when it starts to fall, basically the right time to enter the market. It's not easy to do it right as many people predicting bitcoin will rise to $50,000 and high price in January and February is just a start. But if you see it carefully, bitcoin has started to fall sharply after reached its peak on December 17th, 2017, yet recover to $17K on January 7th, 2018 but then fell afterwards.

However, holding at loss is better than sell at loss, a right thing to do. Keep your bitcoin in cold storage for a year at least, or until bitcoin reach new ATH. Forget it for a while and starts over again with new funds. $5,900 was the lowest level for bitcoin in this year, consider $6K-7K range as the good entry point. Majority of coins at discount right now, feel free to re-invest, as the moment bitcoin rise again, other coins will follow.

Remember the rules:
1. Anything you have spent on cryptocurrency, consider it as a loss until proven otherwise, so do not spend more than you can afford to lose.

2. Be patient, profit doesn't come so quickly, sometimes it takes months or even years. So, keep your coins safely.
39  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-08] Bitcoin’s Low Volatility Might Mean Price Manipulation Is Waning on: October 09, 2018, 01:44:35 AM
Just let the market growing on its own, naturally without interference from government, regulations, and this what we got, less volatility due to there's no anything that lures people to panic buy and vice versa. What makes the bitcoin market volatile is traders or majority people who looking for profits in the price swings, but since there is nothing intrigue it, people tend to hold.

Nevertheless, legislators and regulators won't just see the volatility index in the last one or two months. The most important thing for them about how to control the market or at least there is no manipulation occurs in the market which causes new investors to go broke. But, it never gonna happen due to greedy people around want profits as much as possible they can earn.
40  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New service of mixing BTC (MIXERCOIN.CO) on: October 08, 2018, 06:30:52 PM
after reading all the arguments above, hmmm, you need to chill out, take it easy and just one thing you have to do;
How can you convince people to use your mixing service while there are some mixers around which literally better and trusted?
I doubt even someone willing to take the risk in order to use your service without any positive response and guarantee.

So you're saying you run a mixer but don't know how to sign a message?
Or  if I give an address with a signature that they belong to me, will it be enough for you?

One or two addresses with the sign in message will be good enough for a start, just prove you have it.
