641  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: September 04, 2017, 06:57:26 AM
I want to confirm about chips which are available;
In the first page mentioned ; There are chips with 0.001BTC, 0.002 BTC, 0.004 BTC and so on till 4.096 BTC.
So, there are 0.008 BTC, 0.016 BTC, 0.032 BTC, 0.064BTC, 0.128 BTC, 0.256 BTC, 0.512 BTC, 1.024BTC, 2.048 BTC, and 4.096 BTC?
I've sent bitcoin to be mixed, let's say 0.0645788 BTC > since there is no chip available for that amount, it will be 0.064 right?
I consider the rest of it (0.0005788) as donation, am I wrong?

And, in the first page mentioned ; For example you deposit 0.112 BTC and you receive 0.064 + 0.032 + 0.016.
Is that mean if someone send some amounts that can not divide into certain chips that available, will received directly into chipmixer wallet, right? Let's say someone send 0.13956, then he will have some chips : 0.128 + 0.008 + 0.002 + 0.001 and the rest 0.00056 will be received by chipmixer.

Thanks.
642  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Should I start own exchange website? on: September 04, 2017, 04:03:02 AM
I am dropping an idea of creating own exchange "FOR NOW" Maybe I will come back with sufficient funds to start and also the good team.

welcome for your suggestion, it's benefited for others and me also.

The truth is sometimes painful, but do not let their comments take your spirit.
I'm glad you want to develop your idea with more funds and assemble a good team.
The biggest costs to create an exchange is to establish web security, which your team should be able to do it.
Yes, no need to compete with other bigger exchanges but create an exchange that offers good service, faster and low fees will attract more people to use your site. Even $4000 will be enough to start a small exchange in the beginning, at least you could gain the trust from customers. May I ask, where do you live, which country to build this exchange site? Only accept bitcoin or people could trade altcoins as well? And the last thing is; you should have a plan to deal with legal authority obviously.
643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I invest (safely) in Bitcoin for the long term? on: September 03, 2017, 11:51:46 PM
I am a novice in BTC but have been lucky so far. I bought BTC at under $2000 and have now sold it at $4100. I am sure that I have made some mistakes in the way that I have bought, stored and sold the BTC.

I now want to trade both long term and short term in BTC. I want to trade in minimum USD $10,000 blocks

Long Term What is the "best practice" processes to buy and sell BTC?

Where is the best place to buy BTC using USDs

Where is  the best place to store BTC using USDs. As a result of my limited research, security seems to be a major issue. I am prepared to buy a dedicated computer solely to store the BTCs if necessary

What is the best place to Sell BTC using USDs

You may thought have lost the chance to trade bitcoin at the peak and buy back at the dips. If you think could make profits by trading bitcoin, go ahead. The best place to buy and sell bitcoin using USD depend on your interest, check GDAX and Bitstamp. These exchanges may have some differences regarding their deposit, fees, and withdrawal process.
To store bitcoin for long term I recommend ledger-nano or trezor wallet, I think it's better than using a dedicated computer to store bitcoin. You can read this : https://www.weusecoins.com/en/find-the-best-bitcoin-wallet/
644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin debit card with the best possible exchange rate on: September 03, 2017, 05:44:01 PM
Unfortunately, we are in a different hemisphere. Which causes many different mindsets, one of them is I've been trying my best to avoid debit card, this card mean to be an easy way to spend money/bitcoin with high fees obviously, I prefer to spend bitcoin directly from my wallet or convert bitcoin into cash through local exchange.
But, I've heard about bitcoin debit card, there's xapo debit card but not sure about their exchange rate.
https://support.xapo.com/xapo-debit-card

Yes, it's better to ask people who ever use bitcoin debit card and I'd like to know more about this information.
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin: $100K in 2021? on: September 03, 2017, 02:41:27 PM
Wouldn't doubt at all.

What was the price in 2012? Some dollars, then in 1 yar after the halving the price went above $1000, much above.

If same pattern happens, then the price will go to 100k at least 1 year after the next halving, by the year after next halving

Indeed, many people who commit to hold bitcoin for long term will be motivated to saving more bitcoin.
Spend some portions of bitcoin whenever it surges is a good thing in case you know when it comes, get profit and buy back more cheaper coins. But, for those who don't know when the right time, better stay calm and holds.

Many people will doubt it, how bitcoin could reach $100K within 4 years?
Only if many countries legalize bitcoin as legal payment, just like the Japan government did before.
Bitcoin could rise from $980 to $5000 within 8 months, and we don't know yet: how about in the end of this year?
Imagine if bitcoin could manage to grow around 300%-400% per year, then bitcoin may reach $15k-$20k in 2018, and so on.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC and Banks on: September 02, 2017, 06:51:39 PM
hello,
I was wondering if major and smaller banks invested in Bitcoin or other Altcoins?
I think they did but, the question is how? and with which methods?  Huh Huh
of course any bank will never say it publicly....

You have found the answer, bank will never publish their investment in cryptocurrency but they do research about blockchain, trying to create their own version. But, I agree they did invest but not on behalf 'the bank' but only individual, not using bank's funds but from their own pockets because it's so risky to invest huge amount of money which is not belongs to you.
Bitcoin offer bigger interest over 400% within 8 months which banks can not give it to you, even bankers know about this, very tempting to invest in bitcoin.
647  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-02] $5,000: Bitcoin Price Hits Historic New Milestone on: September 02, 2017, 02:56:14 PM
... I'm wondering when the new update will be released by electrum developers, because current fees for electrum like BTC0.003 per transaction, exorbitant fees for everyone who use electrum wallet.

You can set a custom fee in Electrum and get away with much lower transaction fees, if you are fine with waiting 12-48 hours for the first confirmation.
It is absolutely unnecessary to spend 0.003 BTC as transaction fee, unless you make a transaction with a lot of inputs.

If you have only 1-2 inputs to your transaction you could get the transaction confirmed with even a fraction of your proposed fee size.
I sent a transaction a few days ago with a 0.00005 BTC fee and it confirmed within a day!

Well, thank you. I've been waiting for a week and hold myself to transact bitcoin using electrum wallet.
Very funny I didn't try to send and set custom fees, which I've set it when using blockchain wallet to send bitcoin Grin
Thanks for point out about this, will try it later, my last transaction fee around BTC0.00004676 but  BTC0.0001 still convenient for me.
648  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-02] $5,000: Bitcoin Price Hits Historic New Milestone on: September 02, 2017, 11:52:32 AM
It feels just like another normal day in bitcoin world for me, something that has been predicted few months, weeks, days ago.
For daily traders or whoever aim $5000 to sell, it's very special and obviously bitcoin has reached another ATH, another milestone.
But, the good news is when most wallet platforms will enable segwit addresses, it's been annoying me over a week since bitcoin segwit has been activated. I've sent bitcoin and pay low fees using blockchain wallet but electrum wallet still calm down without any new update. I'm wondering when the new update will be released by electrum developers, because current fees for electrum like BTC0.003 per transaction, exorbitant fees for everyone who use electrum wallet.
649  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Free Poloniex Auto Trading Bot on: September 02, 2017, 09:48:37 AM
A trading bot is a good hand to help someone execute orders in order to do not miss the chance to buy and sell, especially this is a free trading bot. But, too many people claim being scammed or give bad rating to Poloniex, many people have withdraw their funds out of this exchange. Few months ago, Poloniex is a recommended trading platforms, they have the biggest trading volume, but look at it right now, drastically declined.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: September 02, 2017, 08:16:39 AM
Bitcoin price keeps increasing. Price is x10 considering last year. Even 25k-50k-100k is predicted.

Are you adding more bitcoin by buying with cash? or you trade or invest in ICOs & altcoins in order to increase the amount you have?

or do you just hold what you have?

Of course, current price is expensive but compare to the potential prices of bitcoin in the future, $10K, $15K, and $20K, then $4700 is cheaper. So, buying bitcoin now to make sure I buy at cheaper price and manage to get profits in the future, hopefully.
Adding bitcoin into my wallet by trading bitcoin, trading altcoins and earning through sig-camp.
But, I need to cover my daily expenses too, which makes me sell it sometimes, just small portion of my savings.
I expect to collect at least 10btc before it reach $50K. The point is, whoever believe in bitcoin, now or later will buy bitcoin, at $4700 or $47,000.
651  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Announcing bitdoubler.io on: September 02, 2017, 07:10:08 AM
Can I double my bitcoins? Please suggest how to do this.

No, this site doesn't create to double your bitcoin instantly, you have to make it by yourself and what he has to offer?
Double spending bitcoins is fun and might even fool some person or web site into giving you something for free.

To deceive, scam People or sites in order to get free bitcoin or goods, but I won't recommend anyone to deal with this site as you will turn as scammers, criminal and being hunted by central authorities or some people who want your head on the table.
652  Economy / Economics / Re: How to invest in bitcoin? on: September 02, 2017, 02:28:32 AM
I have seen many ways to earn bitcoin, and still not familiar with some of it. I am a student and I wanna ask how to invest in bitcoin, and if students like me are capable of doing that already?

Please share your thoughts. Thanks.

I believe you know the answer without need to ask others if you already knew how to earn bitcoin.
Invest in bitcoin mean spend your money to buy it, efforts to earn it and time to wait for months or years.
Where to buy bitcoin? On local exchanges in your country where you can deposit, but if you don't have bank account, ask older people to do it for you, or you can buy it directly to someone who wants to sell bitcoin without exchange as the third party, but beware about the risk of scammers.
653  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase sees complaints grow on: September 02, 2017, 12:08:04 AM
When you don't deliver what you promised to deliver in lieu of value received, you are a fraudster. If your website advertises The easiest place to buy, use, and accept bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin. Using digital currency has never been so safe and easy. and yet you have terms and conditions which negate that, you are a fraudster.

Complaints will keep soaring for as long as people don't realize that they are dealing with a tolerated fraudster. A fraudster with FinCEN credentials and the government's blessings to operate with impunity. Doesn't it surprise anyone how easy and fast it is to inject funds into the Coinbase system and how difficult and cumbersome it is to remove those very same funds or coins from their coffers?

And of course their spokewoman declined to comment on the CFPB complaints. Silence is the best defense.

Agree, people deserve what they have bought or deposited before which exchange make it easier to inject funds to them but so complicated to withdraw it, that's the problem. But, we only knew what people are complaining about and don't know the whole story from coinbase point of view. It will be fair if coinbase clarify those problems and restore what are belongs to their customers.
654  Economy / Speculation / Re: From Gold & Stocks to Bitcoin: An Exodus? on: September 01, 2017, 01:43:04 PM
I'm interested what evidence you have that "there is an "exodus" away from gold and stocks"? With gold at YTD highs back over $1300 and stock indices at all time highs, it would seem the opposite is true.

I've been an advocate of Bitcoin since 2013 and I truly believe that it has potential to go massively higher. However, it is ridiculous to suggest that it is a safe haven. It is a highly speculative investment that has the potential to give spectacular returns, but as always that comes with a high level of risk.

There's no way to get the data as people trade gold or stocks at their will, not to publish it or report their transactions to public.
We just guessing, when bitcoin price increase but gold or stocks prices are declining. I've been watching over gold prices for a while and you're right, the price rise to $1323 right now. I am not sure what affects gold price, who decide whether it goes up or down.
But, I am sure people know that invest in bitcoin is more profitable than invest in gold.
655  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-01] Bitcoin's nearly five-fold climb in 2017 looks very similar to tech on: September 01, 2017, 11:00:00 AM
However, digital currency expert Chris Burniske points out the market value of bitcoin is still a fraction of what stocks were during the dot-com boom.
Chris Burniske, author of the upcoming book, "Cryptoassets: The Innovative Investor's Guide to Bitcoin and Beyond."
"If people think this is the 'big bubble,' then they don't have an appreciation for how big the idea of cryptoassets really is," he said.

I like this man, a digital currency expert.
So, bitcoin just a fraction and more likely to continue to rise.
And he has a point, even though most people thinks that bitcoin is bubble but this currency really has huge potential to become major payment method across the continent. I consider bitcoin still on the beginning of development, as long as scale solution could works, nothing can't stop it.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC fees exploding and BTC will crash down on: September 01, 2017, 12:44:53 AM
As soon as possible, if fees will go down for a short time, I will sell Bitcoin and hold other cryptocurrencies and hope others will also do so until fees go down.

Stupid idea obviously, I'm not sure what you mean? If fees will go down for short time? Or if fees won't go down?
Current price of bitcoin continue to increase and fees problem already resolved by segwit activation.
But, not all wallet platforms release new updates which support segwit addresses just like electrum wallet https://twitter.com/ElectrumWallet/status/900591309521596416
657  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Bitcoin save Venezuela? on: August 31, 2017, 09:47:55 AM
Bitcoin can not save Venezuela, because economics problem in there so complicated and require government to handle it which they are struggling to do it. Bitcoin could save some people who already invested some portions of their wealth into bitcoin, as long as there are exchanges to convert bitcoin into VEF. Once more, bitcoin proven as reliable investment for everyone in short and long-term.
658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: starting to trade on: August 31, 2017, 06:39:44 AM
What is the best trading place to start some minor trading on

I would say you can try trade in POLONIEX, CCEX, CRYPTOPIA, and COINEXCHANGE you can try this all exchange i been traded there before and seem nice and no problem with me

I'd vouch for Bittrex. Had no problems since more than half a year of trading there. Though I would go AGAINST using Poloniex. People have had alot of problems withdrawing their funds on Poloniex, and Poloniex's customer support seems to ignore the complaints of the users. I'd suggest you go with bittrex or binance.

Take a look at these Reddit posts:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Ripple/comments/6donq9/warning_about_poloniex_personal_experience/
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/6iy5z0/warning_poloniex_suspended_eth_deposits_and/
https://www.reddit.com/r/xmrtrader/comments/6g8jp2/poloniex_withdrawals_who_else_is_still_waiting/

Indeed, bittrex seems gain more credibility among traders since their competitors have some problems regarding services.
But, many people still trade in Poloniex as well, even though not much like before.
I do not recommend to trade in yobit, this exchange has some problems as well, I've ever found some reviews in this forum about this.
Well, you may consider fees as one factor to choose a trading platform, check it here:

659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uber’s New CEO Is a Bitcoin Fan on: August 31, 2017, 03:39:58 AM
Event though Dara Khosrowshahi is a bitcoin fan, doesn't mean he will add bitcoin as another payment method for Uber as he did accepted bitcoin transaction in Expedia but through coinbase to proceed into fiat currency. And there's one obstacle;
Meanwhile, consumers are still showing no sign of adopting bitcoin as an everyday payment method, and adoption among merchants (other than Overstock) has stalled, so Uber may lack incentives to go for it.
Whether people willing to pay Uber using bitcoin or not due to the price that fluctuate a lot, maybe after you pay Uber and the next hour /day > bitcoin price increase significantly over $500.
660  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [FUN] World's first bitcoin 2 cat exchange on: August 30, 2017, 11:59:07 PM
I am not sure about this, as you said this is serious business let me ask some questions;
- do you sell cat for bitcoin/ethereum?
- or you just want donations?

What the website says is not of any exchange
We are an exchange! We change cryptocoins (currently we support bitcoin and ether) and cats. A cat for every transaction.

- but you said only have 2 cats and located in Austria, how about the purchase and shipment across the continent?
- 7.) download cat, what this is mean? Download cat?  Huh
