281  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: December 06, 2017, 05:10:49 AM
ChipMixer gives you the private keys so you are fully in control of how you spend your coins and what fees you pay. For example, you could make a new Electrum wallet with the "Import Bitcoin address or private keys" option and then send a transaction with a manually selected fee.
This way is recommended.

ChipMixer is the only mixer that gives you the power to set all fees: deposit fee, mixer fee and withdraw fee. If you want to set withdraw miner fee - do not use lazy sweep option.

LoL, I didn't know about it before, just always going through sweep option.
Thanks for share the better way to wihtdraw, which we can set custom fees according to current mempool.
Even waiting for hours will be no problem at all.
282  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Journey (with Hashflare) on: December 06, 2017, 12:52:30 AM
As for my break even, yes, if the price of bitcoin stays steady, then I should break even in a little under 3 months.

Is that even possible? I doubt it

Well, most people doubt it, but we're curious about how it will be in 3 months. That's why it's interesting to watch closer on this thread.

TL;DR - I accidentally reinvested my first day's profits  Angry

FULL BLOG BELOW

I just went and checked my Hashflare account and was surprised to see my BTC balance was BTC0.00010519. WTF! I'm looking over everything to understand where my BTC went, when I notice on my dashboard that I now have 20.25 TH/s. Looking at my history, I see what happened. Apparently, I reinvested my profit back into more TH/s. . Hmm. This is not what I wanted to do. I need that BTC to payoff my credit card!

There are some buttons on the dashboard that say "Withdraw" and "Reinvest". I click the reinvest button and I see what happened. The default setting is to "Reinvest in SHA-256." Ok. I change the setting to "Do not reinvest."  Hopefully, this solves the problem. I'll check back in a couple hours to see if I got my daily deposit.

LoL, not a terrible mistake, but it's an unnecessary one.
Too many scam accusations against this company and withdrawal issue is the most worrying thing. BTC0.1 limits for withdrawal is just ridiculous.
I appreciate your decisions to invest in mining in both ways (cloud mining and purchased mining hardware) clearly calculate your investment and acknowledge the risks involved. I would like to know about your orders from Bitmain as well, hopefully, you post a link here, just in case I miss it.

I have read so many different opinions on cloud mining that I wanted to experience it first hand and show everyone the truth. If I get scammed, it will be documented in a way everyone can see. If it's legit, then people should know that too. At the end of the day, a $2800 investment won't make or break me, so I can afford to do what a lot of people can't. For me, the journey is more fun than the destination.

Indeed, for a man with curiosity and fantasized about letting people know the truth about various things, you will make it clear whether it's worth or not. If you make it, then more people will invest in hashflare as well. But, for me; I would never deal with such risk Grin
283  Economy / Speculation / Re: why CBOE and CME futures trading may LOWER / SLOW the price of bitcoin. on: December 05, 2017, 11:56:02 PM
I don't think so, bitcoin futures won't slow down the increases in bitcoin price.
Bitcoin futures is a place to gamble about bitcoin price for a certain time-stamp based on Bitcoin Reference Rate which calculates from some big exchanges such as Bitstamp, Gdax, itBit, and Kraken. These exchanges are the real market makers, and bitcoin futures contract's holders will bet whether it's going up or fall down, while the price constantly rises, it's an obvious guess.
For investors who bet it will rise, they will buy more and more bitcoin to make sure they will win the contract.
284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think its now the time to sell bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 11:24:55 PM
For traders, every peak is an opportune time to sell in case if bitcoin price may get corrected and drop back again.
But, if the price already dropped and you want to panic sell, it's not the answer as you may lose in the game of buyback which occurs in a matter of minutes. However, bitcoin price will always recover and reach another ATH, as it's evident right now, if you have missed the last correction, be patient and waiting for the next peak to cash out.
285  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Journey (with Hashflare) on: December 05, 2017, 04:26:11 PM
Ok, let me note it;
You have purchased 20 Th/s which worth $3000 ?? Or am I miscalculated?
Everyday, hashflare will give you BTC0.003 ?? Or BTC0.03 ?? Please be clear about it, do not typo and misplaced a number.
Maintenance fee BTC0.0006 is pretty big imo as there is another cloud mining which offers cheaper maintenance fee, buy unfortunately out of stock or not yet offer a new contract.
If your mining contract will always generate BTC0.003 per day, you may reach a breakeven point within 3 months, right?
Then, I'll keep an eye on this thread for 3 months. Good luck.
286  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: December 05, 2017, 08:57:09 AM
You can not save money if your expenses more than your income every week/month.
The best way to saving is; buy bitcoin and keep it for a long-term, it's better to saving bitcoin compare than put money in banks which devalued over time.
The first thing is; determination, you have to ensure yourself to save money and do not be a spendthrift.
You should know how much you've earned and how much you've spent every month, take a note for every spending.
287  Economy / Speculation / Re: 12K, great, another silly....... on: December 05, 2017, 02:46:43 AM
Silly, just newbies who will sell off
Bitcoin will continue to rise even if some people sell all of theirs until nothing left in their wallet.
$12K will be achieved for sure due to bitcoin will enter a bigger market after bitcoin futures officially launched on December 18th.
Bitcoin won't stop at $12K obviously, and everyone has a right to choose whether to hold or sell bitcoin, do it at your will, it's a normal thing in crypto-world.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Question for all on: December 05, 2017, 02:39:38 AM
We have all read stories of coins being sent to wrong addresses (typos or badly copy and pastes)

What would you do if 100 Btc landed into your account? (unfortunately this has not happened to me yet)

This thread belongs to "trash can"

289  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Bets His Manhood that BTC will reach $1 mil by 2020 on: December 04, 2017, 11:59:14 PM
Although most people don't believe if bitcoin can reach $1 Million in 2020, he won't eat his dick at all, it's obvious.
And McAfee has brought the new hope for bitcoiners to keep holding bitcoin and even encourage to buy more bitcoin at this price.
Honestly, I believe in bitcoin, it will reach $100,000 for sure, but $1 Million? Only time will reveal the truth
Usually, I always sell a small amount of bitcoin, a fraction, at higher price, if bitcoin reach the peak. But, after read McAfee prediction about bitcoin, I don't want to sell my bitcoin anymore. Grin
290  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-03] $51 Billion CME to Enable Bitcoin Futures Trading by December 18 on: December 04, 2017, 06:17:45 AM
they could take the throne from people, please don't sell your coins under $500,000 if they have the approval of the government,

That's a problem if people sell their bitcoin at a lower price, we can't assure people not to sell bitcoin until it reaches $500,000 due to everyone has different needs. But, I agreed with the idea of hold bitcoin instead of selling it, until the time I can spend my bitcoin directly to the merchants in my city as easy as using fiat currency. Bitcoin meant to be a currency obviously, not as a speculative object for big whales to monopolize the market with all of their tons of cash.
291  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: December 03, 2017, 11:59:26 PM
I vote for; not create smaller chips, for now, 1mBTC equal to $10 is still convenient.
Unless bitcoin price reaches $15,000 or $20,000 then some people may want to mix smaller chips, like 0.5mBTC.
Like mentioned above; if there are big demands from customers to introduce smaller chips, then there you go.

Edit:
A question; when people withdraw, sweep the private keys, the fees to be paid automatically based on the normal fees preferred by blockchain or Chipmixer can set it to lower or higher fees if customers ask to?
292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: if the BTC could reach 100k or even more then it doesn't matter to buy now? on: December 03, 2017, 11:18:43 PM
Indeed, for holders, it doesn't really matter as the price constantly increase but it's not the case for traders since we're discussing it on trading board where people always looking for profits by trade every cryptocurrency which fluctuate a lot, even bitcoin as its price reach $11,600 a few hours ago and suddenly drop back to $11,500. However, it's not so profitable to trade bitcoin if you don't have big capital due to the high price of bitcoin. Since bitcoin futures will be launched, trading bitcoin will be the game for big whales and not for people who have a small amount of capital, but it will be better if "small traders" just hold bitcoin for long-term and prefer to trade altcoins.
293  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-30] Turkish religious figures: Bitcoin does not suit Islam on: December 03, 2017, 01:14:05 PM
Bitcoin is just an alternative currency and people have a right to choose whether use it as a medium of exchange, as an asset or an investment, but a group in Turkey cannot decide it's suitable for a religion or not. Once again, they can state it as whatever they want and it does not change the fact that bitcoin is a new technology in the monetary system which even though it fluctuate a lot until today.
In the term of "money laundering" there are a lot of things which could be used as the object to do it, but the government can regulate and overwatch trading activity in the country.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder's dilemma on: December 02, 2017, 11:36:42 PM
Hey guys, I've decided to ask you - what whould you do in this problemmatic situation?

Suppose you have some bitcoins (let's say 22) and you bought them / got them a few years ago very cheap, and now you see it's price and.... what to do?!! Will you take the profit and go away, or sit and hold further? Suppose you're not going to buy more. But when to sell?

I remember someone really satisfied after sell his bitcoin at $1000 and gain so much profit, more than $10k.
Imagine what would he say now? I hope he bought back again, so he won't regret.
Bitcoin price will always increase, all you have to do is let your bitcoin in the wallet, you can sell a small amount of your bitcoin if there's something to pay but there are no other options to get cash. You can sell and enjoy the profit as well, but you may regret it if the price reaches $20k or $50k, be sure to save more than you sell.
Personally, I would love to spend my bitcoin directly into the merchants or pay the bills, but bitcoin still unregulated or legalized in my country such as in Japan.
295  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone order an S9 from Alibaba? on: December 02, 2017, 04:48:55 PM
There are tons of them on that website. Anyone have a reliable seller?

Although you've seen a ton of it, doesn't mean it's worth to buy.
Personally, I like to buy the new product instead of buying it somewhere else which maybe ever used before.
If you decide to buy ASICs, make sure you can check the items before paying it as there are possibilities it won't work properly.
296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is is still a good time to Invest in Bitcoin? on: December 02, 2017, 03:23:31 PM
When you decide to buy bitcoin at a high price such as right now, over $10,800 and may increase even further, just make sure you can deal with it just in case the price drop back as much $1000-$2000 if something bad happens even though the chances are small for bitcoin get corrected again.

There is no word of too late or too expensive at this point due to bitcoin more likely reach $12,000 or even $15,000 by the end of the year die to bitcoin futures will go live on December 18th. There are some speculations about bitcoin may reach $100k or $1 Million in 2020. There is no loss of you invest in bitcoin and can wait for a long-term obviously, that's the point.
297  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legalizing Bitcoin on: December 02, 2017, 02:25:18 PM
Yes, we can say; governments are afraid to regulate bitcoins because they can't control it or lack of knowledge to acknowledge the benefits of bitcoin which is better than their's fiat currencies.
Bitcoin isn't fully anonymous to do illegal transactions as most people trade cryptocurrencies on exchanges which require id verification. People can't evade taxes forever as every transaction are recorded on blockchain and bank system.
So, you'll always stay under the radar as long as you are never deal with exchanges and bank transfers to buy and sell bitcoin.
298  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-30] McDonalds to accept Bitcoin by 2018 on: December 02, 2017, 01:20:40 PM
Considering how fast bitcoin growing over the year, it's a good idea for companies and business to accept bitcoin payment even though it's not a significant adoption for some people but new adopters still happy if McDonald's and Amazon accept bitcoin payment.
However, there is no any official statement from them, so it just an illusion, for now it does not affect bitcoin market obviously but bitcoin futures does.
299  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Can Be A Savior! on: December 02, 2017, 11:46:38 AM
In specific countries like Venezuela and Zimbabwe, Bitcoin is working as a savior for the many as their respective economies and political systems have been rocked by turmoil and uncertainties.

During economic and political distress Bitcoin can be the best tool for people to survive economically as well as to protect their remaining assets from being swallowed by the government-sponsored economic meltdown.

In Venezuela and Zimbabwe, yes bitcoin is a saviour during the economic recession due to political instability, in order to make some payments or just convert it into local currency. Bitcoin is free from inflation which devalued fiat currency, that's why it's a perfect money. We can't deny the advantages of bitcoin is suitable to transact across the world, send money as easy as sending an email.
Bitcoin meant to be an alternative currency, not to entirely replace every fiat currency in this world, so we hope governments do not ban it and regulate cryptocurrency as an asset or commodity as it can be our savior someday.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most attractive concept about Bitcoin? on: December 02, 2017, 09:47:46 AM
The most attractive concept is a decentralized or p2p system of the blockchain, but newbies won't understand that.
Well, most newcomers may be interested in learning about bitcoin if they know the value of bitcoin constantly increasing over time, in other words; the profit if they investing in bitcoin.
But, it's important to make sure, the price is not the only "point or reason" to join into this crypto-world as the price also fluctuate, sometimes get corrected and fall down. People should be aware of the advantages of bitcoin as an alternative, or a better payment system compares to banks system.
